RRMx-BEx issue

Hi:
I have configured transaction RRMX_CUST so that RRMX transaction should call Analyzer *BI7.) and not 3x. But still it brings old 3x analyzer instead of the new one.
I am not able to figure out.
I tried changing parameter RRMX_VERSION = 70, but still same problem.
We're on following  level.
SAP_BW     700     0014     SAPKW70014     SAP NetWeaver BI 7.0

  • BEx Issue - BEx not connecting

    Gurus,
    Need your help.
Recently we applied a Windows Security patch at company and now I am not able to get connected to BEx analyzer either thru RRMX or from BEx applications. The Micorsoft Excel opens up but it is not connected by default using RRMX transaction. Also, Most of the Icons are greyed out and there is no action if I click on any other BEx Analyzer related Icons. On the Icons also I see GERMAN text but not the English.
We have uninstalled and reinstalled the SAP GUI 7.1 also.
    Any clue?
We are on BI7.0, PL 17 and Microsoft Office Excel 2003 - SP2.

  • BEX Issue:Intgration of master data and Open Items cube data

    Hello Gurus,
I need some help in BEX queries.
I have master data Contract Objects which has master information like Max Number of payment and monthly installments.
In the open items cube I had open items balance for multiple line items. So I need a report which show Portfolio under which we can have multiple contract object.  So Portfolio P1 ->  contract objects C1, C2, C3 The report is as follows
    Portfolios  Total Amount               Open Items
P1           Sum of total                Sum of open
                 amount each                 items in cube
                 contract object
                 under P1 C1 + C2 + C3
    1) Total Amount = Max Number of payment * Monthly installmens(Sum for each contract object in Portfolio)
    2) Open Items = Sum of all balances under open items cube.
Now problem is if I join the two using multiprovide the Total amount gets SUMMED multiple times for each line items in open item for contract. I just wanted it summed for once for each contract object .
How do I ensure that TOTAL AMOUNT IS calculated just once for each contract object ? Is there means to solve the problem.
    Regards,
    Check.

  • Bex Issue Query

Hello, I have a query about Bex.  I have 2 Bex Queries with different Keyfigures on different providers.
    Query 1:
    Customer     Material     Plant     Quantity Sold
    Query 2:
    Customer
    Material
    Plant
    Quantity Available
This is what i want to do.  Basically I want Query 1 to run Query 2 and look for material in query 2 and then if found in positive then return me plant and Quantity Available. I think it is possible with replacement path but i don't know how it is possible. Can some body help me please?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
I think This is not possible in Be query desinger , Better to do at modelling by creating info set for 2 info providers with inner join as material and creating query for the same.
There might be possible also by creating workbook for those 2 query's .
    Wait for other reply's also.
    Thanks.

  • Bex Issue : before aggregation

    Hi,
I have a problem in Bex that I thought to solve with the "before aggregration" option in Bex Analyzer but this doesn't seem to be possible.
My query looks initially like this for 1 shipment 1344601 that is linked to 2 deliveries
    Shipment Delivery Del.Quantity Counter Del.Quantity/Count
    1344601   81209721  41.160 KG     2      20.580 KG
    1344601   81209722  14.840 KG     1      14.840 KG
    Resultrow .............56.000 KG     3       35.420 KG
This 35.420 KG is the right total delivery quantity for shipment 1344601. Note that counter is calculated via a formula with before aggregation. Also the Del. Quantity is included in a formula with before calculation.
When I now remove the drilldown on the delivery my result is wrong :
    Shipment      Del.Quantity Counter Del.Quantity/Count
    1344601       56.000 KG    3       18.666.67 KG
    Resultrw     56.000 KG    3       18.666.67 KG
The system is dividing 56.000 KG by 3 which leads to an incorrect result of 18.666.67 KG.
==> My problem is that I can't put the Del.Quantity/Count on calculation before aggregation, although Del.Quantity and Counter that are used in the calculation have both calculation before aggregation.
Via a little trick (include the calculation in a new calculated keyfigure where I multiply it by 1) I could put it on calculation before aggregation but then the query execution fails.
Does anyone know a solution for this behaviour as I think lots of you might have faced similar situations and I would like to avoid to solve this in data staging as this doesn't seem unsolvable in Bex to me...

    Hi,
As per the my knowledge, we can use the properties of Before Aggregation in Bex Analyser.
for ex. when u excute your query, by default the result of the calculated key figure is generated after aggregation. But we can change this property to before aggregation by going to context menu of the calculated key figure for the analyer.
But it is considered as a bad practice in SAP.
If you want to use this option in query designer it not available,
because when we use calculated key figure in formulas it calculate as after aggregation. If you want to change it, we can change at analyser level.
    Hope u understood.

  • BEx Issue - Require Help

    Hello Guys,
    I have 2 records in the month 7 ( 07- july ) - with time data (hh:mm)
    Ex:
    0CALMONTH   0CALDAY     DIFF(HH:MM)
    June         2007.07.10     9:36
             2007.07.15          15:41
               result                   24:77
         Average                   12:38 ( Result / no of records )
but i need the result - sub total on 0calmonth (24:77) also in HH:MM ( 25:17) and also the average.
hOW CAN i get the result.
    thanks,
    Pratap.

    Pratap,
If you want two different calculations types on the one key figure, you will need to add the same key figure to your report in an additional column. Change the Calculate Results As on this new column to Average. Might be worth suppressing the Calculate Single Values as so it doesn't repeat the key figures.

  • BEx issue - ranking of materials

    Hi All,
I am writing a query where I need to display the Top 10 materials (as per sales data). I did this by using condition.
Also I need to display the ranking. For this I used the same KF and displayed it as ranked list.
But now I want to create an APD and take this query as the base query.
I wanted to know if my transactional ODS will have the ranking as query data?
I would need this to write the final query where I need Branchwise YTD sales of the Top 10 ranked materials. This sales value should be displayed as the % sales of that ranked material as a percent of the total sales of the Branch.
    Please advise.
    Thanks and warm regards,
    Sharmishtha

    HI Sharmistha,
I would advise you to do this differently - Try using a Prequery.
Create Query 1, which gives the top 10 Materials.
Create Query 2 for Brackwise YTD Sales and in this for 0Material create a Variable of type Characteristic Value of Processing Type Relacement , and give the reference of Query 1.
If you find this helpful...assign points.

  • BEX report selection issue

    Hi,
I need to resolve 2 issues related to BEX
    issue 1
when I am looking for a username I need to type the exact combination of upper and lower case  letters. e.g I have JOHN in the username MD and if I type John, I don't get any result.
    issue 2
I would like to have the full description displayed for name. currently is only showing abbrevations and key code
how do  I change these in Query designer
    thanks

    Hi Bhat Vaidya,
If you want the system not to distinguish capital and small letter differently, you have to make settings at the info object level.
If you want ur sys to treat JOHN and john as same , you cannot do anything at query level for that you have to change the following settings of underlying object(characterstic object)
First uncheck the check box of GENREAL tab of that INFOOBJECT MAINTAINCE screen it is becoz If this indicator is not set, the system converts all the letters into capital letters when you use a screen template to input values. During the load process or in the transformation, no conversion occurs. This means that values with lowercase letters cannot be updated to an InfoObject that does not allow lowercase letters.
As you are not allowing lowercase letters while entering value into variables any characters that you type in the variable screen, are converted automatically into capital letters.
    Coming to your second query,
For that change settings in Tab Page: Business Explorer
    Setting to be changed is
    Description BEx
In this field, you determine the description that appears for this characteristic in the Business Explorer. You choose between the long and short descriptions of the characteristic.

  • Error when launching BEx analyzer from Portals

    BI Gurus...
We are working on an initiative to migrate our user interface from SAP GUI to Enterprise Portal.
Bex Analyzer is primary mode of reporting at this time.
After importing the Roles into EP, I am able to execute the web queries successfully, in the BEx Wen analyzer. But, I get an error when I click on any of the excel workbooks. Our expectation was that once we click on the excel workbook name, the BEx analyzer will launch from EP. But it seems like the issue is with launching BEx Analyzer from BI Portal.
Has anyone faced this issue before?
Is it possible to launch BEx Analyzer from EP?
Are their some key portal settings we have missed out on to enable launching BEx analyzer from EP?
    Please provide your thoughts/experience.
    Thanks,
    Ajay.

    Hi WernerS,
    Thanks for your response.
The RRMXP Transaction works and it launching the BEx Analyzer as expected.
Now, as per our research, I think there are 2 ways of launching BEx analyzer from BI Portals.
    1) Call via a URL
You can call BEx Analyzer via the following URL: http(s)://<server:port>/sap/bc/bsp/sap/rsr_bex_launch/bexanalyzerportalwrapper.htm
You can modify the URL to open BEx Analyzer with either a workbook, a query or a query view. You can use the following parameters to do this:
    ●      Parameter to open the workbook: ?WBID=<wb_id>
I have tried calling via URL iView, but instead of launching the BEx Analyzer, it just throws a dialog box to "save" or "open" a file, RRMX.bex. When I try to open this file, it says "Invalid File Format".
I tried opening the file in notepad and I see the following parameters passed.
               test
               Data=BX2,CONAJP,EN,mikoyan,17,,,250,
               9
Any clue about what I am doing wrong?
    2) Calling via a Transaction
You can generate BEx Analyzer in Portal Content Studio as an SAP Transaction iView.
The iViews are of type SAP Transaction iView and have the code link com.sap.portal.app integrator.sap.Transaction.
The most important properties are System, Transaction Code (TCODE) and ApplicationParameter.
    ●      The Transaction Code for all workbooks is RRMXP.
    ●      The ApplicationParameter property contains the value WBID=<WORKBOOK_ID>.
I have tried this approach as well. When I open this iView, I see the RRMXP transaction in the Internet explorer, but the workbooks still does not open in the BEx Analyzer (Excel)
Any thoughts on where am I going wrong ?
    Thanks,
    Ajay.

  • Inconsistency between Bex and Back end

Hello, I have a query about bex issue. I have few fields in my DSO/Cube which has data showing correctly in the back end but in Bex it shows partial of those values. like if i have something like this:
    ZField
    000000000000000000008
It shows correct in DSO table but in Bex it only shows the zeros. do you know why and how to get this to show the whole field value?
    Thanks.
By the way this is a characteristic and not keyfigure.

    Hi Vekant,
If you have not did any speecific thing at query level then value should be shown correctly.
Please try this once and check.
Create new test query on your data target drag and droup your charecteristic.please execute your test query and see if you are able to see the correct value.
    try this.
