When we migrated our domain to the Catalyst system, we did not set the forward tags (podcast equivalents to a 301 redirect) in our Podcast feeds, thus preventing them from moving to the new site with us. We are looking for a way to forward the old RSS feed URL to a new RSS feed, and we have run into 2 wrinkles. First, the feed we use is a .cfm page. I tried copying the RSS code from our old podcast.cfm into a podcast.cfm file on the new site but it does not appear that the catalyst system allows .cfm files to be rendered/displayed. So I then tried forwarding the old .cfm page to a new podcast feed, but here hit the 2nd wrinkle. Our podcast feeds are generated with a querystring that identifies the actual podcast we want to use. And I cannot find a way to forward a URL with a querystring on it. I can forward a page to a external location with a querystring, but not with a querystring in the "source" URL. After this I tried to get creative and build a redirect in javascript that redirects based on the querystring, I can get this method to work with an HTM or HTML file but when I try it with a .cfm file I again hit wrinkle 1. Is there a good way to solve this? Is it possible to forward with a querystring in the source URL? Or to render .cfm files as if a .htm file? Or is there a better way to do this that we have not discovered. Thanks for your time and assistance in advance. Please let me know if you need anything else or if there is something else we can do.

Form feed, null and StringTokenizer

is form feed recognized as null when using the StringTokenizer?
i currently have my StringTokenizer set with a blank space and i am attempting to read until the value is (EOF) null and while it hasMoreTokens. the text file that i am reading from spans across several pages. my code falls out of my loop when it hits the last space on my first page.

a form feed (\f) is not a null but that shouldn't be stopping the StringTokenizer, I suspect that the manner in which you're reading in the data may be the culprit. Try to use the BufferedReader class to read your file.

7515 ios 8 scanning doesn't function using document feeder

My AiO remote updated on my iPad today and i have issues scanning from the scanner. The printer and tablet functions properly when scanning using the glass however when using the document feeder, AiO remote scans the sheets then before saving it says there is a problem with the scanner, check the scanner. not sure why it works with the glass and NOT with the feeder.

I am having the exact same problem. I will add that scanning from the document feeder to my Mac Book works fine. The problem with the document feeder is only whenn atttempting to use the AiO software on my iPad.

How can I transfer a podcast feeds from one itunes account to another?

For a couple of years we have been using a third party company to edit and submit our podcast feeds to itunes. They have been doing this using their own itunes account. After changing things round a little, I have now created an itunes account for our company and want to transfer the current live feeds from the other guys account to my new account but I have no idea how to do this. Although the guy is very good, I don't reckon he is that technical so I thought I may be able to get some assistance here.

It's not currently possible to transfer an account's balance from one account to another account, nor to use it to gift items to another account. Also any content that was bought/downloaded via your account will remain tied to your account, so your account will need to be authorised on the computer that he will be syncing to, and only your account will be able to re-download that content and/or download updates to those apps.

HP LaserJet P2015 Tray 1 paper feed

My HP LaserJet P2015dn printer has been my workhorse printer since new, especially for printing checks, envelopes, forms from paper Tray 1. I always print using the Auto Select for paper feed, so that if there are checks/envelopes in Tray 1, they will be selected. For the past 6 weeks or so, the printer will not feed from Tray 1 on demand, that is will not pick paper from Tray 1 if Auto Select is enabled as I have used it in the past.
Printer will pick from Tray 1 IF Tray 1 is specifically selected OR Tray 2 has no paper or is removed. I doubt I can retrain myself to do either of these things as work arounds.
Stupidly, I paid a $50 bench fee for a technician to tell me the printer is mechanically working as it should. On further investigation, I have determined that the HP print drivers is use seem to have been installed on July 10, 2008 (about the time this issue started AFAIK) from a combined installer HPLaserJetP2015andColorLaserJet2605_2700.dmg which I installed for my Color LaserJet 2605dn printer.
I still have the prior LJP2015OSXfullsol.dmg on my hard disk, but reinstalling same does not seem to replace the new driver with the old.
So, is there any way to get rid of the the newer print software OR overlay the older on the newer? Other suggestions?

So, I cranked up my old PowerBook G4 (OS 10.4.11) which has the older driver for the P2015dn and the problem remains.
I have made some progress: If I want to print with paper feed from Tray 1, I pull Tray 2 out a few inches, load the paper in Tray 1, start the print job, and the yellow Attention LED flashes indicating an error. Note that the Paper Out light does NOT come on. So I press the Go button, the Attention LED goes out, and the print job completes using the forms in Tray 1 as desired.
So I'm thinking now, What Error condition? and why does clearing it make it print?
Certainly seems like a hardware problem to me as this is NOT the way the printer is supposed to work as documenetd in the User Guide.

HP LaserJet 600 M601 doesn't want to use envelope feeder

1. HP LaserJet 600 M601
2. Windows XP 32-bit
3. Tries to print to different trays than envelope feeder when envelope jobs are sent to printer, eventually the envelope feeder shows up on the display and user can choose it to print. Then prints OK.
4. New printer.
5. HP LaserJet 600 M601 doesn't want to use envelope feeder:
Driver is configured with correct trays and printer with paper types.
User send a print job with paper size as Envelope #10 to printer, printer prompts for envelopes to be loaded in different trays, after Tray 2, and after Tray 1 then asks user to use the Envelope Feeder, instead of the just immediately printing to the envelope Feeder.
Tray configuration:
Envelope Feeder: Envelope #10, Envelope
Tray 1: Legal, Plain
Tray 2: Letter, Any Type
Tray 3: Letter, Letterhead

Just got off the phone with HP on the very same issue using a 602dn printer. What ended up fixing my problem was downloading the HP Universal Print Driver ( www.hp.com/go/upd ). You'll want the PS driver, not the PCL6 one. When you exctract it, update your driver to the v5.4 driver. I don't know why that would have fixed it, but it did. Let me know if it works for you.

I need help getting my RSS feed compaitble with Itunes...Im almost there.

Can someone help me with my code for itunes. Unfortunately I use rapidweaver to podcast and I have read there are a few things Rapidweaver leaves out when publishing the site so itunes does not accept the feed. My RSS feed works and can be subscribed manually though Itunes or with software. Im thinking im using spaces or it looks like I need to number my tracks for my podcast(which sounds odd but, I know itunes is finicky with spaces, symbols etc)

It's better to post the URL of the feed (as you have subsequently done) than the contents of the feed .
From the FeedValidator report the feed is basically OK for iTunes. There are several occasions where 'content:encoded' sections (following immediately on 'guid' tags) should be enclosed in
<description>...</description>
tags: however all this will be ignored by iTunes anyway and only applies to other readers. The 'potentially dangerous content' referred to by FeedValidator is within the 'content:encoded' tags and so isn't relevant to iTunes. They are referring to an inline css style, and I don't know whether this might cause a problem elsewhere.
You should really have a language tag, e.g.
<language>en-us</language>
(you have a dc:language tag but that's for a different system). This should be placed in the top section, before the first 'item' tag.
It's advisable to have an 'itunes:explicit' tag for each 'item' -
<itunes:explicit>yes IF CONTAINS ADULT MATERIAL, OTHERWISE no</itunes:explicit>
it's not compulsory if you have no adult material, but you must have a 'yes' if you do.
You can check your feed by subscribing in iTunes from the 'Advanced' menu - this has the same result as clicking the 'Subscribe' button on the Store page. If it works OK there you are ready to submit it.

ISE 1.2 Profiler Feed Service

ISE customers will be able to recognize new devices, in addition to a multitude of other network-attached devices such as printers, video cameras, and specialized mobile computing devices.
Cisco works with various vendors, partners, and customers to profile the multitude of IP-enabled devices that are expected to be deployed in various customer environments and then create profiles for the devices. These profiles are made available through the device feed service. An ISE server that is configured to connect to the feed service establishes a secure connection with the cloud-based service. The various profiles on the feed service are automatically downloaded to the ISE server, providing ISE customers the ability to detect the IP-enabled devices that connect to their network. The feed service will be available with ISE Release 1.2 and is part of the Advanced license.

Can't refresh OData Feed (PWA Report)

I used to create reports in Project Web App. And to fetch the newest data from the projects, I would open the report -> Excel Online -> Data -> Refresh All Data
Well, it doesn't work anymore. In Excel Online it says: "External Data Refresh Failed". Then it lists all connections that couldn't be refreshed. It's all OData Feeds "Problemdata, Projectdata, etc."
Technical details says: "Fehler: ^Êrrørs íñ thè hîgh-lëvël rélãtìõñãl ëñgíñè. 99 99 99 99 99 9^ Ausnahme bei der Verwendung der verwalteten

I thought it would help if I'd setup the ODC File on my own. Maybe my defaults are corrupted? So I just created a data feed within Excel. That works! I would upload it to PWA: https://mysite.sharepoint.com/sites/pwa/PWADataConnections/
Then I included the link to the file and it says: "We can't use the data of this feed."
So there seems to be a major problem with my OData feeds within PWA. I looked the problem up in the internet, but couldn't find anything.

Curretly, there is an iCloud blackout. It started this morning around 2AM California time (Pacific), 5AM New York (Eastern). A lot of people have been having issues all day, including me. No iCloud services are online. Even Find My iPhone is down.

Can't browse "save in" dialog box in BB News Feeds App

Blackberry Curve 9330 3G 6.0 bundle 2333 (v6.0.0.524) While in the BB News Feeds App, I would like to save a MP3. In the dialog box I click save. In the next dialog box I click browse. Dialog box is Save in .../blackberry/ringtones. I want to save in .../blackberry/music , I click menu and click up. Now I am in ...media card/blackberry. That's good, but now when I click the menu and click open I get random files to save in. I don't have the small window that lets me pick which folder I want to save my music in. I know the folders exist because I can go to them in the file app. If .../blackberry/music does appear when I use the menu button, I can save in that location. This may take five or so clicks before this choice appears. Where is the small window in the dialog box that lets me pick the folder? I think this started happening after the last update to curve. Was it a Java update? I don't know.

HP Envy 4500 - issues with paper feeding on intial setup

I just bought this HP Envy 4500 this afternoon and I need to use it asap. Upon initial set up (before any wireless connections), I am stuck at the paper feed needed in order to print the test page. I loaded plain white paper but it still tells me to load the paper. It sounds like it's preparing to print but then the paper does not feed, it never pulls the paper in. I have used 3 varying stacks of paper to try to get it to pull and nothing.

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see you are setting up your HP Envy 4500, but it is not recognizing the paper, so it keeps asking you to load the paper.
Please make sure the Paper Tray is pushed all the way back, alot of the times if you are getting this error it is because the paper tray isn't installed properly.

Podcast is having issues since I changed the feed url

Ever since I changed the feed url for my podcast in itunes I have problems with the feed not working properly.

When I try to download random files or episodes in this podcast it wont download in itunes. I get an error code (-50) saying it could be a network problem. But if I go to the direct feed url which is this in safari browser. I can click on the mp3 link and it plays just fine. Then after doing that I can go back into itunes and click "get" on the exact same file that wasnt downloading earlier and now it downloads. Very odd. Once that is done all files in itunes download without any problems. I thought it was just something wrong with my itunes. But it only happens for my feed when I subscribe to it. I tried it on my windows system in itunes and having the exact same problem. I called a couple people up and its happeing with them in itunes also. When one of us accesses the feed by way other than itunes it will then work for awhile then go back to not working again. It started happening when I changed the url in itunes to have it point to the feedburner url. Im having the issue right now as a matter of fact. I cant even listen to the preview of each episode. Maybe someone can try the itunes feed and check it out for me. Any ideas?
Its frustrating. Im wondering if I need to just submit a new podcast to itunes.
PS: I posted this in itunes for windows, Im using both mac and windows. Its not specific to either OS.

Im pretty sure the problem has been resolve. We own both the .org and the .com extensions of our website. The primary being the .org and a redirect if a user goes to the .com address. I use feeder to create the podcast feeds and it has an autofill feature in it. Somewhere along the line on the enclosures I inputed the .com address instead of .org. Why the redirect works just fine in most feed readers. Apparently itunes doesnt support it. One of the users in the feedburner forum picked up on this. I corrected all the enclosure urls to .org as they should be and everything so far works fine.

Podcast feed not working in iTunes

Hi there,
I am trying to get a podcast feed for a client set up to work in iTunes. About the setup:
This is a self-hosted wordpress site, using the feedburner/SmartCast to create iTunes-friendly feeds. The site does use HTTPS as parts of it handle credit card processing.

The feed validates at http://castfeedvalidator.com/ and http://validator.w3.org/. Other podcast services pick it up just fine. Just iTunes. I've tried testing it by manually subscribing to it in iTunes, and the episodes/meta load fine, but the audio files neither play nor download. I also can't seem to find any kind of error message to describe what the hold up seems to be - just the ! next to the episode. I can briefly see a window that says "Connecting" but it dies right away.
Any insight into what's going wrong here would be much appreciated. I've added MIME types to the server for MP3 files, about to change the main icon from PNG to JPEG on some random recommendation that sometimes iTunes doesn't like PNG files.
I've also tried:
taking the media link outside the audio player shortcode and just putting it in as href
using both http:// and https:// for the media link
I'm sure I've missed something basic here - but my experience with podcasting prior to this project was "I like to listen to them." So any suggestions appreciated.

The problem lies with the media files rather than the feed. The URL given for your top media file is
http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/UnderTenFitness/~5/cn0Ui9M2FyI/2015-01-27-Psorias is-Natural-Remedies.mp3
This redirects to
https://www.undertenfitness.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/2015-01-27-Psoriasis- Natural-Remedies.mp3
The first URL works when you enter it in a browser, but on subscribing iTunes refuses to play it. These redirects using Feedproxy can cause problems, though they don't always, and frankly I would advise avoiding its use and providing a direct URL to the media file. Furthermore the URL for the actual file begins with https (secure connection) and this is also asking for trouble. Sometimes it works, but it's better avoided. Just removing the 's' so that it's http works with some servers but it appears not to hear. So you need to look into the matter of hosting your media files.
