RS-422 output from a G3 B&W, is there a way?
I am hoping to be able to connect an OpCode midi patchbay to my G3 B&W with an RS-422 interface. Was there an adapter or PCI card ever available that would allow this? Or do i have to "get beige"?
I have no problem getting midi in or out. I have an M-Audio Delta 1010LT soundcard that has drivers available from os 8.6 through to 10.4.10 The soundcard has midi in/out on it. What i am looking for is some way of putting an RS-422 port into the G3 so i can access a hardware rackmount midi patchbay to set the channel routing/merging. It is programed via either RS-232 or RS-422. (RS-232 drivers only available for PC)
Is there a such a thing as a usb/ADB to RS-422 adapter that will work in os 9.2.2?

You can redownload most iTunes purchases directly to the iPod by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise you will have to sync from your iTunes library. -

When I edit and/or delete photos from an album in iPhoto is there a way to make that what happens in the folder in finder? I am new to Mac. I've updated the operating system and iPhoto.
If your iPhoto Advanced preference pane is setup like this
all photos you import into the library are COPIED into the library. Thus those photos in the folders outside of iPhoto are redundant and can be deleted to save space on your hard drive. There no need to keep those copies in the folders.
If you do have your advance preferences set as shown above you can access your photos for use outside of iPhoto according to the following User Tip by Terence Devlin which is the best treatise on how to access photos (for use outside of iPhoto): How to Access Files in iPhoto. Otherwise you access your photos from within iPhoto. -
I have a Netgear NAS which uses Stora software. Mavericks will not let me install the software as it is not from an approved developer. Is there any way around this?
There is, but why do you need the s/w installed? The NAS should have a web admin interface, accessible via ip address (http://<ip address>) which should allow all the needed configuration that is required for it to work with machines running os x.
Try to install as little s/w as you need to do something in Mavericks or any OS as it is usually the cause of future issues or problems.
If you're intent on installing the s/w, go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General and If you have tried to run it before, it should be listed there. You can then "un-block" it should you wish. -

Not in the Safari browser she can't. That is not supported on the iPad. There are other mobile browsers that do have that functionality - one is iCab Mobile.

If you want it to go back to essentially Out of Box Factory Settings then you will want to just select the 'Restore' option from the Summary Screen within iTunes. You will be prompted to Restore from Backup or Restore as New, in this case you will want to restore as new.
If you have previous settings you will need to see if they were backed up correctly before syncing, you can check this in Preferences -> Devices -> Backups and look at the list of backups to see if one coincides with your iPhone 4. If not, then there will be no settings to restore to other than the previously connected iPhone or back to Factory settings. -
My 4s crashed and Apple replaced it while I was out of town. I used it for a week without downloading my old information. When I backed up my old information it erased all my new information from a weeks work. Is there a way to recover that information?
It doesn't matter what it is in your backup that's causing the problem because you can not selectively restore things from your backup. It's all or nothing.
Set you phone up as a new device and start over. -
I installed Windows 8 on my 3TB Fusion Drive, now about 1TB is missing from my hard drive. Is there a way to get them back without wiping my drive and reformatting everything?
No, I assigned 100GB to the Bootcamp partition. So my Macintosh HD should be still about 3TB but it only shows 2.2 TB. And when I try to put the Bootcamp partition back, it also shows that I would have about 2.3 TB combined. So almost a TB has just disappeared. It doesn't show up anywhere.
Also when I installed Windows 8 I saw about 800GB (which is most certainly my missing space) show up as Free space. Now my question would be If it is possible to get them back without wiping the whole drive. -

In Acrobat you can do the following to extract pages from the pdf:
Open the PDF in Acrobat and choose Tools > Pages > Extract.
Specify the range of pages to extract.
In the Extract Pages dialog box, do one or more of the following before you click OK:
To remove the extracted pages from the original document, select Delete Pages After Extracting.
To create a single-page PDF for each extracted page, select Extract Pages As Separate Files.
To leave the original pages in the document and create a single PDF that includes all of the extracted pages, leave both check boxes deselected.
