Wishlist for Nokia 5800 V21+

So you've seen that 5800 has it's new update V21.0.025 up and running and we can see some changes/Updates but not major ones..
What major updates would you love to see in you Nokia 5800's other upcoming Versions ? (minor ones aswell)

the thing that i wanted the most is the standby screen rotation.. i know it's not very difficult to insert this issue in the firmware, as did nokia have made the more difficult improvements before. so i believe this is very simple for them, but they juz dun wanna make the standby screen to autorotate.
1) auto-rotation for standby screen.
2) add another "stop" button in music player, so it would look like "backward" "stop" "play&pause" "forward"
3) camera colors and sharpness improvements, especially in Landscape & Sports mode, the sharpness is not that good in Landscape, and noises when using Sports scene. colors are dull and always have to adjust the color tones to "vivid"in order to have better color pictures.
4) hope the "turn to silent" function can add another "turn to hang calls"...
5) better touch sensitivity
6) better bass reproduction on music player
7) better if can have smaller shortcut icons, so that we can put more shortcuts on the standby screen
8) a better auto-rotation theme effects
9) can create own new folders in menu
10) improve in the speed of the hp when using 8GB memory card

Nokia N72 modem incompatible with Windows 7

Hi All,
I have a 3 year old Nokia N72, in excellent condition except the paint. I dont have any problems with my phone as such for calling purposes.
But I do have problems connecting to internet via my PC running windows 7. All the drivers are correctly installed but the phone wont dial a connection. I get the error
Error 692: There was a hardware failure in the modem (or other connecting device).
Any help would be appreciated. I am going to try my phone in my friends PC running windows XP.

How do you connect it to PC? Do you use PC Suite or Ovi Suite? The phone can only be used as a modem through those programs. You need to enable and setup One Touch Access on Ovi or PC Suite to use the phone as a modem.
Connect your phone to PC/Ovi Suite in PC Suite mode, open One Touch Access, Select connect to internet, fill in the access point settings (operator dependent), and the you can browse the net on your PC once the connecting process is finished.

I recently bought a nokia n72. Its IMEI no i.e (7th nd 8th digit are 0 nd 2 respectively).
Heard that the phones havin IMEI no 02 in 7th nd 8th are made in emirates nd of very poor quality.

I think there is no serious need for a antivirus software on a mobile with S60.
It´s not like WM that there alot of viruses out.
Uninstall any antivir software and enjoy the performance!

Need Help With Nokia N72 with 2Gb Memory???

I have Nokia N72 phone and just purchased 2gb memory. Somehow this phone does not recognize the 2bg memory. Anyone out here can help me, please. Do I need to update its firmware or what? I don't want to purchase another 1Gb memory. It may be not work either. I would like to use this 2gb memory; so that I can store more video and pictures. Hope to hear from someone soon with good recommendation on how to make it works.

My Nokia N72 Front Panel Shield Glass Broken.
Could you please advice how it can be repaired & how much it should cost me for an original shield at Nokia Care center in Pune, India.

Only that Nokia Service centres/Priority Dealers in India are all third party private dealers and charge a bomb for a simple service or spare part.
I had a screen for a Nokia 2865 replaced some time back in a local mobile phone service centre and the price of doing the same in an authorised centre was 5 or 6 times higher than that.
Nokia wants to fleece customers by not giving them basic information about how customers can service their mobiles themselves. By the way, please mail me in case anybody has a service manual for a 2865 mobile.

Hi, Newly bought Nokia N72 phone it restarts automatically every minute. But when i put the bluetooth on the phone remains stable and it does not reboot. Once the bluetooth is switched off again the phone starts rebooting automatically every minute. Please let me know if there is any solution for that.

Update your Firmware with latest one.Either take it to NOKIA CARE or do it from the wesite of NOKIA but do take back up of all your data.

New Firmware Update for Nokia N95 (RM-159 ) :Decem...

It looks like new firmware update is available for Nokia N95 basic model .
Earlier Version of Firmware was : 30.0.015
Now the latest available Firmware was : 31.0.014
When i connected my N95 to PC using PC-Suite, it notified me about this. But when i searched the internet for change log , i found none. Is it right firmware , why Nokia didn't disclose change log, which it used to do it earlier ???
I will wait for 2 more days for official communication from Nokia....

Ok, so no one wants to install this firmware because theyre affraid they loose their freedom?

No batteries for Nokia Lumia 710?

I am in Perth, Western Australia and I am one unhappy customer
Last Friday I went to Battery World to get a spare battery for my new Nokia Lumia 710 as I'm travelling overseas.
They don't have them. I phoned JB HIFI as I bought the phone from them. They don't have them. On Saturday I phoned Nokia Care. They said they had a shop at Morley (quite a distance from me).They also said go to JB HIFI (I told them they don’t have batteries), **bleep** Smith, Harvey Norman or Telechoice. I went to each of these, they don’t have them and never have, nor did they give any indication that they ever would have them.
I went to the Telstra Shop. The chap kindly looked up the address for Nokia Customer Care here in Morley, Perth, Australia – he commented that I could not phone them because their phone number was no longer on the website. Therefore there was no way of my checking that they had a battery before I went there. I drove quite a distance to Morley. When I eventually found the business I was greeted with Business Hours 09:30 to 17:30 Monday to Friday.
When I returned home I phoned Nokia Customer Care. I told them I had driven to the business and it was shut and it would have been nice to have been told that before I drove there. They told me that’s quite right they are not open on Saturdays. I was once again told to go to JB HIFI, **bleep** Smith, Harvey Norman, Telechoice. I told them they had already told me that and I had already established and told Nokia Customer Care that they did not have batteries and never had them.
I was told they would send through a query (?to God) and I would receive an SMS in 24-48 business hours as to whether there was a battery available at Nokia Customer Care. Today I received a voice mail telling me that there are no batteries available at Nokia Customer Care at Morley. Once again I am told to go to JB HIFI, **bleep** Smith, Harvey Norman, Telechoice.
I feel like I have been sold a phone for which there are no batteries. With every other mobile phone I have owned I have always had a spare battery, especially when travelling overseas. No wonder it was “cheap”.
I am now faced with travelling overseas with a phone for which there is no possibility of purchasing a spare battery.
I sincerely hope that no-one is buying these phones to run their business with.
I am extremely disappointed and I would advise that nobody purchases this product. Which is a shame since I was happy with the product. It simply never occurred to me that there were no replacement batteries for this product. If I had known that I would not have purchased it.

Sorry to hear you are having a hard time finding an additional battery for your Lumia 710. The Lumia 710 uses the BP-3L battery which should be available through any Nokia Care Point. A list of Nokia Care Points in Perth can be found here. If the battery is not available they should be able to order one for you.
Also if you search for 'Nokia Lumia 710 Battery BP-3L' on the web you will find a number of sources within Australia which will be able to provide you with this battery model. Make sure though you buy an original Nokia battery.
