RSA1 Transaction possible only with Client 001

Hello BW Gurus,
Regards.Well We have just Installed BI 7.0 and when we tried to execute RSA1,we get a messg stating : Can execute only with CIENT 001.
2). Am unable to see any Business Content Objects when i clicked the BC Tab..Can only view them Technical content objjects.!!!!
It will be great if u guys can help me out on this..Will assign points for sure..

Here we have installed Netweaver with BI + EP and created a dev client 500 through local client copy from client 001. Now when i try to execute RSA1 in client 500, it is asking to do it in Client 001. For this I have changed the parameter login client =500 through rz10 and restarted the server. Still it is asking to login in 001 client.
Regarding BI Content I am uploading the pakage through SAINT .
Can you guys suggest me the solution for this above issue and work on client 500.

Link only with client side method for ImageArea

Hi,
I wanted to made an ImageMap and on each ImageArea set Link ONLY with client side method. But it doesnt work, no method is called. (in html is rendered only onClick="return false;"). When i tried to set some server side method it is working(server method is called). Is this righ behavior?
If it is how should code for calling only client side method look like?(now i am writing that map into html by myself, but it is not nice solution ).
And next question related to this, where is defined relationship betwenn htmlb components and java classes rendering them? i wanted to look in implemenattion of imagemap and change it for my purposes but i dont know how.

I had also some problems with the ImageMap.

PO possible only with PR?

Hi,
I want to make PO only through PR?
While making PO, a pop up screen should come like " Enter PR no#" and only after entering the PR it should go to the PO. Is it possible to make setting like this?

In case if you are creating a PO generally through "ME21N "you can not restrict the creation. As in that case the following fields become manadatory
1) Material
2)Purchasing Organization
3) Purchasing group
4) Vendor
5) PO quantity
6) Net price
The fields PR and RFQ in item level are not manadatory. In order to make them manadatory so that PO are generated only with reference to a particular document (namely PR /RFQ etc) we need to use the "Function authorization" so as to restrict the creation of PO
Path: SPRO -> MM -> Purchasing -> Authorization management -> Define function authorization for buyers -> Function authorization for PO
T.code : OMET
In this screen under " Possible reference objects" you get many options like
1) Reference to RFQ
2) Reference to PR
3) Ref to Ref PO and many more
In this screen select the Check box which says "Reference to PR" and then save it
Now iwhen you try to create PO it will not be created unless you give the PR number " yuou get the error message as " You have no authorization to create with out reference to another document"
In this way you can have a check on the PO that are created

I am trying to transport some of my infoubes from Dev to Quality where I can see th error
Dimension PWXTY64 can only be manually activated in client 001
Message no. R7048
Diagnosis
Dimension PWXTY64 does not have a number range interval. A new interval has to be generated so that IDs can be assigned. As IDs already exist, the interval has to be created during object activation. This is only possible in BI client 001 as the interval is client-dependent.
The error occurred in client 000 - probably in after-import handling.
System Response
Dimension PWXTY64 can only be activated manually in client 001.
Procedure
Activate Dimension PWXTY64 manually in client 001.
Please let me know what needs to be done to avoid this error

Have you found a solution to this issue? We experienced the same thing this weekend, and we had to manually activate the Infocubes using the activation program. But, if there is a way to avoid this in the future, that would be great.

Steps to create a logical system for client 001.

In client 000 go to transaction scc4. There you create your new client for sap netweaver abap trial version for BI?
Here, can you give me steps to create a logical system with client 001 using tcode scc4.

     First log on to SAP R/3 server connections Go to SCC4 in R/3 & in Scc4 BW server. A screen opens in that logical name of the system would be opened in both (R/3 & BW).
     Take notepad in it save .R/3 & BW logical names go to R/3 & click SM59 to create R/3 connections click then a screen opens gives BW logical name in RFC Destination option & give connection. type 3 & give some description & then press enter.
     You will get another screen under it then at target host gives BW server name we will get it from BW logon change ID, IP address option & give the system no. The system no go to logon pad just drag it then you will see the name.
     Then click on log on securities go to log on give BW server details like No, client user Password. Then save it then click test connection tab if there are errors then it gives yellow color if they are no error the whole thing come as white.
     Then click on the Remote Logon then we go to BW server give RFC SM59 & click create. Then give the server name which is at the bottom right corner give it then give the no, name, password in logon Security save it & test connection & then remote logon.
     R/3 - B W - R/3
     Logical connection source system connection is used to transfer the data from R/3 to BW. Go to BW system& click RSA1 go to source system option go to top to the source systems right click on it. Then click create then a screens opens then.
     PC Flat file , DB  Database
     Select the option manual then a screen appears RFC Destination, Logical source name then click OK then it goes to opens other screen save it test connection then remote login then it go back to the then a screen opens then click only activate.
     BW  RS1  SOURCE SYSTEM  CREATE MANUAL AUTOMATIC CELL
     R/3  Test connections login  back  replicate method  active data R/3 Source system you will able to.

Client 001 issue.

Dear BW Gurus,
We got into a critical situation here by doing development work in Client001!!.The Basis guys installed the BW and created client 500 along with client001.But they gave the logical system name as BIWCLNT001.Then when we tried to execute RSA1 in Client500,the system gave a messg" Can work only in Client 001".So we mailed SAP reg this and they replied that "In our scenario it;s not possible to work on Client500 and rather only in Client001".Although we knew its not advisable to develop in 001,we had no other way than to do it.Now when i added a CL Info object as Navigation attribute to 0material and then deleted the attribute and tried Activating 0material,which lead us Breaking the SAP D Version of the info object!!!!!!Now we are totally lost and if would be great if someone can take time to advise us of what step to take ,next!!!
1).Can we do a fresh installation again or
2). Transport the 0material Info object from PROD to DEV ??

Creating and Assigning logical system after executng RSA1 transaction

Hello guys, i am stuck since many days for running the transaction RSA1 for BW but message comes you can work only in client 001 only. when i try to log in with bcuser i cannot but i am able to log in with DDIC user but it says there is no logcal system assigned. I tryied to create a new logical system but it says user ddic may not change objects something like that. please help in this case that how i can be able to use bw in NW04s trial. i created a user in the client 001 but this user fails to create logical system and mssage states that you do not have authorization to do this actine. i hope i will get the answer very soon. SLDDSUSER not exist in client 800 and in java VA,but exist in client 001.

Dear friends,
                      I am trying to confiure ESS in my ECC6 system. Previously due to lock issue in J2EE_ADMIN user, I start use SAP* user and cofigure. That time i can able to see SLDDSUSER in my sap client 800 and in java visual admin as well and I have created all relevant JCO connections for ESS.All went fine.
                              But since Sap* lock all other users , i tried to fix that J2EE_ADMIN user.Fortunately I unlock J2EE_ADMIN user and change password as well. With J2EE_ADMIN i can abpe to connect portal as well. But in webdynpro content adminstration screen ,now I can see that check jco connection test only enabled and other buttons maintain Jco detinations are disabled and all my previously created Jco connections gone.
                     After go through SDN documents, i try to use SLDDSUSER for SLD setup. But suprisingly I could not see SLDDSUSER in client 800 as well as in visual admin .But previously I saw in both area. Now only in client 001 SLDDSUSER exist. But i am using client 800 only.Please advice how to proceed further.

Possible fonctionalities with SAP MM

Hello
Could you confirm that with SAP MM I can deal with automatic creation of purchase orders from a flat file (with Idocs or BAPI solutions) and that the creation of the purchase order can generate an EDI message to send the order to the supplier ?
I think that it is possible only with MM and that SRM is not required for these functions ?

I am having SAP NW 7.4 SR1 as abap system ,I have created one new client ,while runnning RSA1 t code i ma getting below message
RSA1: You Can Only Work in Client 001...
I have cheked below
1. Go to Transaction SE16, and enter table RSADMINA
2. Change the BWMANDT field entry to the client number you wish to use
above is the solution for this issue ,but i ma unbale to chnage the client in se16
here chnage option is gayed out.

Hi Basis,
Please follow below steps to edit.
SE16n---> Enter table RSADMINA ---> Provide /h on command field --> press F8 key --> On the screen provide two inputs GD-EDIT & GD-SAPEDIT with value X for both & click on change icon.
After that press F8 key again,now you'll be able to change the things.Please follow same for other table,if you want these tables under change mode.

I Installed ABAP Netweaver successfully, and i tried to connect to BW workbench using Transaction RSA1, i get an error message which states that "You can only work in client 001", Please how do i solve this problem. i need a detail step by step in solving this problem because i am a beginner.

You can also try this
You need to make client XXX as your default login client. For this change the value of profile paramter login/system_client accordingly in RZ10. Further execute the function module RS_MANDT_UNIQUE_SET in SE37 with value of i_mandt being set to client XXX (in general the client where you want to execute this transaction).

hi friends,
we are going for SAP Re-Implementation.
we want client copy only with master data without having transactional data
Is it possible to copy the master data from production to production.
can we transfer the data using ALE/I DOCS...?
Is there is any standard BAPI to transfer data across client....?
if there is any solution please give me guidance.

1) Make a client copy ready 2) Use Idoc and moved the master data. I am not sure how much data it is.We did the same before.

Fresh BW Installation : You Can Only Work in Client 001

Hello All,
I am doing a BI 7.4 installation.
Till now i have just installed NW7.4 ABAP system. I did some of post processing steps after installation like STMS, SGEN.. etc.
We want to have client 100 for BI usage. So i created 100 client with client copy with SAP_CUST profile.. is this corrrect ?
Now i have 2 question..
1. When i run RSA1 in 100 client, I get error "You Can Only Work in Client 001" ? Did i performed wrong client copy ? What is correct procedure. I do not find anything in Installation guide for NW.
2. I need to deploy BI_CONT addon. I can do this with SAINT.. is there some post activity.. which activate something ?

Your SAP BW system can only operate in client 001

Hello,
After installation of SCM 5.0, we did client copy from 001 -
>800.
But when we execute RSA1 we got the error message:
"Your SAP BW system can only operate in client 001"
Is this because of client limitations?
If yes, how it can be solved.
Incoming days we are going to upgrade to SCM 5.0 from SCM 4.1.
Will it cause a problem?

It worked.Thanks a lot. But still have a logical system issue.
RSA1>message appears->
"Logical system name has been changed for the
system"
When I gave logical system of client 001 to 800 then it worked.(with RSADMINA has entry now 800 which was changed from 001).
It still not working logical system of client 800.
I afraid, we will face issue after upgrade to SCM 5.0.
I hope client will not modify after upgrade to SCM 5.0 in RSADMINA.
