RSA3 - Extractor seems to run forever for a particluar datasource

Hi All,
I am trying to check a infocube export datasource - 8ZBVOLVOL1 in RSA3 and it seems to run forever and never returns any values. I am using the default values in the settings :
Request Id - TEST
Data records/calls - 100
Display Extr Calls - 10
Update Mode - F
Target Sys - "Empty"
In the selections I am not making any selections just running them as default, but I also tried inputting the selections and even then it seems to run forever.
I checked the datasource in RSA6 and it seems to be fine.
I am hoping someone can help me out here.

Hello,
1.First try to execute the InfoPackage and check whether data is loaded to the other InfoCube.
2. If you have anyother generated datasource try the same in RSA3.
3. Check the MySelfSourceSystem (BW System) in Source System -> Check and make sure there is no issues.
If not,try these options
1. Try to recreate the fact table views using the ABAP Report(SE38) SAP_FACTVIEWS_RECREATE
2. Regenerate the datasource again (Export datasource)
3. Goto RSA3 and check it again

I just started using an older Sony FX1 HDV camcorder. I want the 1080i video which is the component out, so i got a Blackmagic Intensity Pro Card. I'm capturing the component through this card. Is this what is taking my compressor soooooo long to work through? Uncompressed video?

Hard to say since you didn't mention what the duration of your program is and which settings in Compressor you used.
But you mentioned capturing. Is that what you're doing? Or are you actually using Compressor?

Summoning max. courage, I did what you advised. Here is the result. What does this tell you? My Lion 7.2 (mid 2011 iMac) has several annoying glitches (which I have so far tolerated through gritted teeth) but none that have actually stopped me working.
BTW, I see several items involving CleanMyMac which I did not know I had. It is generally villified as a trouble-maker. Spotlight can't find an app. or a utility of that name. How can I get rid of what's there please? Just delete?

Datawarehouse job run forever and powershell doesn't allow to enable

It seems that my datawarehouse jobs was running forever without any report producing. I check the jobs enabled and it tell "no" every job except MPSyncJob. Every job status is running as "running" or "not started". I tried to enable the datawarehouse jobs
by powershell cmdlets. When I ran Get-SCDWJob or Enable-SCDWJob the error always appear as following.

I have the same problem with the parser error before eof and unable to retrieve job list but when i try:
get-scdwjob -jobname dwmaintenance -computername MySmServer -dwserver MyDwServer
I get:
A parameter cannot be found that matches parameter name 'dwserver'
I have a feeling that something needs an update and/or is mismatched but I don't know what or where to start.

Power PC G5 Freezing/Crashing, then after restart, running great for HOURS.

I have an old PPC G5 Dual 2.5 with 5 Gigs of RAM, and the Delphi Liquid Cooling system, running OSX 10.5.8.
It will ALWAYS freeze within 20 minutes of startup, and have to be hard-shutdown. After it is restarted, it runs GREAT for HOURS. I can mix a 40-channel Pro Tools session forever, and no crashes, nothing. After it's shut down for a few hours, over night, etc., I'll start it up, and FREEZE. THe freeze is usually accompanied by the fans gradually ramping up until they're full speed. I'm surprised it doesn.t start to move.
What the ****? Why the initial freeze followed by incredible stability?
Please, someone help me without telling me to "clean it" or "replace the processors". The thing runs FLAWLESSLY after the initial freeze.
I find this to be incredibly odd. I have a Mac Pro now and am trying to sell this G5, but would like to resolve this freeze problem first.

No idea on Best Buy's prices.

Automator: running forever after executing a shell script?

so i have found this little automator workflow that will start MAMP's Apache & MYSQL servers automatically (saved workflow as app then put into my login item autostart) however the script just keeps running forever and never exits (which should prompt a small Growl notification as feedback.
The Script:

This is a common question with do shell script. The issue is that mysqld_safe doesn't exit until MySQL shuts down, so your do shell script is hanging around waiting, essentially hanging your workflow.
The solution is to redirect the stdout and stderr of the mysqld_safe command to a temp file. This releases the hooks that do shell script has on the command allowing the workflow to continue. To do this, just append '> /dev/null 2>&1' to the end of the shell command, like:
do shell script "/Applications/MAMP/Library/bin/mysqld_safe --port=3306 --socket=/Applications/MAMP/tmp/mysql/mysql.sock --lowercase_tablenames=0 --pid-file=/Applications/MAMP/tmp/mysql/mysql.pid --log-error=/Applications/MAMP/logs/mysqlerrorlog >/dev/null 2>&1 &"

This line is worthless. I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve here

0FISCPER - F4 never loads and runs forever

Hi All,
I am facing some sporadic issues with the 0FISCPER F4 option. Every time I select the F4 of the fiscal period it runs forever and I never get back any results. Now this query is on an ODS and the same 0FISCPER seems to be fine on another ODS or InfoCube.
Has anyone else faced this problem before, would appreciate any help and will award points.

Hi,
Go to transaction rsa1 and search for a ODS where you know it's ok.
Double-click in it.
Right-click over 0FISCPER there and select choose specific properties.
Do the same with the ODS where it's not working.
Compare both and if different change it to be the same.
But if not, try to change to ODS where it's not working for value M - Master data element.
This will make it faster when pressing f4

Hacker problems so I reloaded Snow Leopard. Afterwards, Mac had to delete 798 items. Now looping on 4 items to delete for the past 2 weeks. Can't reboot, reload, or restart. I have to let the battery run down for it to turn off. How to fix this, please?

I have to let the battery run down for it to turn off. I think a big part of the problem is that someon one the internet (the hacker) was mirroring my hard drive. It seems to have locked up my system. I could be wrong about this guess, though. All I do know is that it is now looping on the last 4 iems, and I can't do anything.
Well, I can get it to turn on, but all it does is continously try to delete the last 4 items. When I try to reload Snow Leopard, it tells me my hard drive is full and that I need to delete items.
Can anyone help? I am so lost without my Mac. I am back on the PC, and though it works, I'm sure many of you will understand when I say it's just not a Mac.

Everything was going smoothly until I got to the reinstall part. I had to choose to reinstall on a hard drive or network drive. I've never used a network drive; just the hard drive. It seems that's where the troubles began. I selected the hard drive. It seemed to go well, and then I got the message that I needed to delete some files because I was out of space. I chose to get rid of my music files, but, there were only 636. I don't know what the rest of the files were. I was using the Secure Empty Trash command.
That was my first time doing an erase and install. I tried to do it again, but I now get a continuous error telling me that my hard drive is full and I must delete files. Only I can't delete files because 4 files are still being deleted and my computer won't let me stop the process.
I found out about the hackers mostly by the fact that whenever I used to watch something like Hulu or Netflix, I never had problems with internet connection or speed. Lately, I had internet connection problems. I went in to check my settings for my internet provider and found out the settings had been changed to public and all these extra computers were connected to my network.

Query runs forever when using selection on line item dim

we have a cube zcube which has po number as a line item dimension .
everymonth users run queries this cube using po number as selection
criterai and using a wild card search on this field . every time
queries have run fine . however , this month when we try to do so
the query runs forever and no results are returned . i also tried
listcubing with similar selection but it also did not return any results .
our production system has lot of data . i tried in test system it worked fine
i checked the cube for compression and indices in production , they look fine
can anyone think of anything that could have gone wrong ? also did rsrv tests ..
but all come green
we have not done any developments on this cube , however we have shifted to
a new hardware in the past month . can anyone think of any reasons ?

My Macbook Pro has a black screen when running in Bootcamp Windows 7. Since I updated the mac side my windows side now starts up with completely black screen - no prompt, nothing, Cap keys still light up as does mouse and DVD drive seems to run.

Specifically, the posts by Dunsany and valkyr did the trick. I booted in safe mode, uninstalled and deleted the Nvidia driver, disabled automatic driver installation, and restarted normally. I then manually downloaded and installed the previous Nvidia driver for my graphics card (which at the time of this writing was 335.23, rather than the latest which was 337.88), and everything is now bueno!
Two hiccoughs along the way: First, when I tried to uninstall the Nvidia driver the first time, when I restarted I got the login screen (which was a good sign), but it quickly went black again. I powered down, restarted in safe mode again, and repeated the uninstallation process, and it worked the second time. Second, when I started the manual install of the 335.23 driver, the computer played a sound similar to the one for disconnecting a USB device, and the screen went black. I'd seen a lot about trying to increase the brightness (though it hadn't worked up to this point; but if you haven't tried it yet, might as well); I tried it, and it worked! So far I'm back up and running. [/fingers crossed]

Time Machine Backup seems to run constantly

My Time Machine backup seems to run constantly. When it happens, performance is also affected. Although a system restart will seems to get everything back to normal, the problem comes back. Any thoughts on what I am doing to cause the problem?

I'm a bit new to Macs really and thought that once backed up, on my NAS system I would be able to view the photos etc. but I presume this isn't the case and I should not back up the photos as part of the Time Machine backup and back these up seperately in order to view them remotely etc?

You may have something disturbing Illy so she gets confused, see Item 7 in 5) below for usual suspects, or you may have what appears to be a preference corruption, see 1) - 4) and 6) below.
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

RSA3 - Extractor returns different amount of records

I created an additional datasource for COPA. I have an existing datasource that has worked well. The reason for creating the additional one is because a new field needed to be extracted.
Both datasources are the same with the exception that the new one has 1 more field.
When I use RSA3 to test the extractor for the Original datasource I get 1098 records.
When I use RSA3 to test the extractor for the New datasource (that has 1 additional field) I get 1000 records.
Why is there a difference in the number of records returned by the extractor? (I am using the same parameters in RSA3, just switching the datasource)

There is a peculiar situation where an SSIS package has been running forever in active batch (cmd). It is stuck at validation phase . However upon restart it executes normally . The scenario occurs intermittently like once in a week or two. There is also
no blocking or locks on the server.

But it does execute on a manual run from the job. I saw several other threads in a similar fashion , and there are solutions but those look inappropriate and temporary and do not deal with active batch ( dtexec) , looking for a standard and a permanant
solution and whether there are any service packs or patches? Its SSIS 2008 and AB8.
