RSBBS settings : RRI : Report-Report Interface
We have migrated several queries to version 7 for which RRI settings were created that enable a link to transaction code in ECC (Eg, FB03).
Before migration, the link to FB03 would open an ECC session (a GUI session). However, after migrating the query, the link to FB03 opens a browser session for FB03.
Is it possible to customise the link so that the query opens an ECC session (the GUI) and not via a browser session?
Many thanks,
Frederick
Hi Frederick,
Please go through it:
The standard configuration of the message server used for HTTP load balancing on the target system isn't capable to handle HTTP POST parameters.
For this, the profile parameter "ms/redirect_version = 1" has to be
set on the target system. Please follow the instruction from SAP Note
972514 on how to set the parameter (e.g. via transaction RZ10).
This parameter should be displayed after you restart.
Transaction SMMS
-> Goto -> Parameters -> Display (in all servers).
Thanks & Regards,

Using Report-to-Report Interface (RRI) in BEx Report Designer?
Dear experts,
I would like to know if it is possible to use Report-to-Report Interface in BEx Report Designer?
From what I read from this article
[(Creating Formatted reports using BEx Report Designer)|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/00ae5173-6112-2d10-d78f-e7779d269f25?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true], the RRI capability of query is not supported in BEx report. So is it true? And are there any workarounds to enable/emulate RRI capability in BEx Report?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
JoonHi Joon,
It is possible to make RRI in BEX Report Designer by using Transaction Code - RSBBS .
Here you need to give the Target Query and Source Query names and than you can easily connect two reports or two levels of same report.
For further step wise description please check the below SDN document :
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/607e63d5-b56f-2c10-718f-8e33a08baa89?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true
I hope this document helps to sort out the queries.

Report Designer - Report-Report-Interface (RRI)
Hi,
if is possibility to insert a Report-Report-Interface in Report Designer?
If yes, can you please give me step by step procedures for Report-Report-Interface in Report Designer?
Thanx in Advance.
WolfgangThere are also some basis tasks which need to be complete before the servers can communicate.
You need to maintain entries in table TWPURLSVR and ensure that web application server is installed and running correctly.
Then you can maintain sender/receiver settings in RSBBS. You will need to create new settings that link the query/cube to a specific report/transaction in ERP. -
RRI (Report to Report Interface)
Hi all
i search in forum and i got a ans., but i'm not able to understand this., what is reporting to report inter face(RRI)
t-code RSBBS., when do we use., can u pls explain me this one and as wel give on scenario Can u pls give brief and
step by step scenario
KindHi krisna,
Report-To-Report Interface is used to navigate from One Report To Another Report. Say for example Your Manager wants to view Yearly report(YTD) which gives sales for Jan, Feb, Mar etc.... he aswell wants to view detailed monthly report for any month say for march..... by right clicking on YTD report he should get Monthly(MTD) report.....so this can be achived by RRI.
In RSBBS you will have to assign the Source query(in this case it is YTD report) and Target query(in this case it is MTD report). Means the user is able to view YTD and MTD at same instance. Its just like drilldown between reports. Let me know if u have any doubts?

Report to report interface doubt , RSBBS tcode ?
Hi
I have gone thorugh sdn and could not get much details on this topic. There is a high level query A with the hierarchy restriciton for a single node, that is it will show the summary of that ( total hierarchy) in a row without hierarchy display and all the 3 amount fields related to it, YTD, and other period calculations.
Now I want to create a report B which will display the detailed level hierarchy of the single row in report A. so i believe we need to pass the hierarchy through hierarchy node variable in RSBBS tcode from report a to report B. Now my question is both the report's have the same column's and KF's and the same input selections. Do we need to pass the input selection of report A to report B as well or only the hierarchy variable ? Please advise if its not clear.
for example, report A
Row1 amount 1 amount 2 amount 3
Report b
Node 1 amount 1 amount 2 amount 3
Node2 amount 1
amount 2
amount 3
both the report have same KF's and filter's . now my questions.
1) do I need to have the same user input selection created on report a as in report B ? Is it mandatory ?
2) if the user input some fy and fyperiod on report a, how will those be known to report B as we are passing only the hierarchy value through hierarchy node variable.
3) how will the report B know about the user input selectioin given in report A ? Do we need to pass through in RSBBS from report a to report B ?
NOTE: report A and report B has the same filter's and same column's and same KF's. Its only the report A has an aggregated single row and report B has a hierarchy display of the info given in report A.
Thank You
DRHi Meghana
Thanks for the info.
However, I need few input in this regards, copied below from your link.
General
Characteristics that are to be
filled from the sender query should be defined as free characteristics. A
hierarchy node restriction, for example, can also be transferred to free
characteristics as a property.
Changeable variables for the
receiver query are not filled by the RRI.
I have created another query 2 with the same KF's, selection, variable's etc. When I right click and select the query 2, its showing as "No applicable data",
is it because its not able to pass the user input selection from query 1 to query 2 ?
when i use the refresh option on the top of workbook and select the same input given in query 1, it works fine.
a) May I know who can this be fixed. I believe this is the issue given below
that the changeable variables are not filled by the RRI. Is there any solution to pass the input variables from query 1 to query 2.
b) Do i need to pass the hierarchy information from query 1 to query 2 through free characteristics ? I mean shoudl i use the hierarchy variable in query 2 in free char ?
Thanks

RRI (Report Report Interface) with ABAP Sender program
I need to call a Report Writer report from a bespoke ABAP program. I can call transaction START_REPORT to do this, but I wondered if the Report-Report Interface can be used here.
Has anyone ever programmed a direct call to the RRI interface in ABAP?Hi Robin
I know the answer comes late but you might find my wiki posting helpful:

RRI Problem in EP - An error occurred with the report to report interface
I have a problem with a template: In standalone the RRI call works, in EP the same template fails with "An error occurred with the report to report interface during the jump" and details "Notification Number BRAIN 192"
The JS-code is: SAPBWOpenURL(targetLink);
In both cases (standalone, and in EP ) the targetLink is
/sap/bw/BEx?SAP-LANGUAGE=EN&PAGENO=1&CMD=RRI&RRI=X&RRI_RECEIVER=QURY0001&REQUEST_NO=2
However, standalone it works, in Portal it fails with the above message.
Any idea?Hi Frank,
What was the solution?

Bex report to report interface dynamically based on Value in the query
Hi,
Is it possible to change the destination of the report to report interface dynamically based on the data of the bex query?
For example my query has the below data
Plant | KPI | Quantity
P1 | A | 20.00
P2 | B | 25.00
When the user selects KPI A I want to navigate to Query 1, and when KPI B is selected to Query 2. Query 1 and Query 2 have completely different layouts, Instead of create to two destinations is it possible to pick one based on the KPI selected.
Is this possible in Bex report to report interface or any other way.
Please suggest
Thanks in advance.Hi

Report-Report Interface from BW to Project Systems
I'd like to jump from BW reports based on 0PS_C04 into the corresponding R/3 line items. If I specify CJ74 as the transaction target then run the BW report and choose the corresponding option from the 'GoTo' menu the following message is displayed. I find this very confusing -- it seems to be saying that the report behind the transaction cannot be used in the report-report interface, but in the procedure says always use the program in the report-report interface.
Can anybody understand what the message is telling us? Can anyone tell me how to jump to an R/3 line item report from BW Project System cube?
Thanks
Robert Williams
You cannot use the report-report interface to call up report RKPEP000
Message no. HF 800
Diagnosis
Line item report RKPEP000 is not suitable for the report/report
interface.
Procedure
Always enter RKPEP000 as the receiver report for project line items in
the report/report interface. This program uses the transfer parameters
to determine which line item reports can be accessed.Hi
I dont know whether you have solved the problem or not yet
But i came up with the same issue....
Use interface program RKPBW000 instead of RKPEP000 in the RRI settings.

Report to Report Interface Error
Hello,
I have a summary query which needs to go to detail query. I used the RSBBS transaction to designate the sender and receiver query. I can see the "go to" option in the context box when I try to link from my summary to detail and see the detail query as available. However, when it tries to transfer, I get the following error. I know these queries are saved and active. I can run them each independently but cannot get the Report-to-Report Interface to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Lynda
error:
query &v2 on infoprovider &v3 can't be assigned to the dataprovider &v1,
because it does not exist on the BW Server.Hi Chandran,
Thank you for your reply and the two links. I am reviewing the assignment details and have a few questions. I currently only have 2 fields assigned - as variables - material and plant.
Everything else is set to generic.
My first query is driven by one date variable which I created which takes a default of January 2008 and pulls Feb - Dec (used offset +1, +2, etc).
The summary report comes up with correct data.
Material Plant UOM Yearly Budgeted Amt Jan/Yr Feb/Yr March/Yr etc
The user then wants to drilldown to detail behind a month. i.e. Jan/Yr
I created the detail query to ask for material and plant which then provides
Material Plant Purchase Order Main Vendor Freight Vendor UOM Qty Recvd Price and Freight Amoutn
There will be multiple Purchase Orders.
One thing I am not sure about transferring fields. Do I need to designate the month/year as a variable in my detail query along with material and plant? I am a bit fuzzy as to the whole process.
Someone I worked with before mentioned that the sending query will pass the fields on the line where you click "go to"????
Thanks for your patience and help...

Report-Report Interface ECC Reports
Dear all,
I'm making a report using report painter (TCode GRR2) and now I need to drill-down to the documents. I think that I can build it via report-report interface.
So, have I to use RSBBS tcode to built it? In fact, I need to built a drill-down to a ECC table, Is the process the same?
Could anybody explain me steps to follow to built it? thanks in advance.
Kr
Arriamu. You assign drill-down report at report group level (GR52).
Report/Report interface > Configure, use the "insert row" icon to assign reports.
