RSCRM_BAPI and Start Condition after Event

Hello all
I have a process chain set up that loads data to cubes. I wish to run RSCRM_BAPI after a certain cube has loaded.
I create the extract in RSCRM_BAPI and for the START condition I use 'After Event' does anyone know if this is correct and if it is how do I identify the event that I want the job to run after or do I use 'After Job' and agin if so how do I idntify job etc.

Hi,
Using Customer Exit Variables we can work with RSCRM_BAPI. See some example. If you need differnet reports i.e. formates then create the copy of the same reports an dchange the selection variables with Month, Week , Day like that using Customer exit variable.

Difference between check function module and start condition

Hello Rob,
In previous answer u said thr is no difference between check function module and startcondition but there is a difference between checkfunction module and start condition.
Before the workflow is triggering can u able to check the conditions in startcondition.The startcondition can check the condition only after the workflow has been triggered.
But in check function module u can check the condtion before the workflow got triggered.

As you've correctly established, even the SAP documentation contradicts their nonsense. A start condition is implemented as a check function, so there is no difference; and NO workflow is started at any time if they fail.

ICal events changing duration and start time after .Mac sync

I sync two OS X Tiger computers (10.4.2) using .Mac to keep my iCal calendars in order. Certain events following a certain date are mutating with longer durations and different start times after syncing between the two computers.
Anyone experiencing the same problem?
Any ideas?

Two different problems here:
Try one at a time:
Quit iCal. Delete iCal preferences in your User Library: ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iCal.plist ( you'll have to reset iCal prefs after)
For those having problems with .Mac sync, reset the sync System Preferences/ .Mac/ Advanced tab.
Come back with results

Adobe PDF printer and "Start printing after last page is spooled"

After calling the Belgian Support for Adobe Product, I'm trying to have some information here.
Hope to get some help.
We use acrobat pro XI on windows 7 client and when we print a test page with the "adobe pdf" print queue on network share, we get a printing error when the "start printing after last page is spooled" is selected in the advanced tab of the printer queue. (document is not generated, and stay in the spooler with an error).
This problem is not present if printed localy or when we use the "start printing immediately" or "print directly to the printer".
The support agent from adobe Belgium told me that the reason is generating adobe pdf on network share is not a supported operation. We have to save the document localy all the time.
Is it really an answer from Adobe ?
Do you have an other explanation ?

We use Adobe livecycle for this kind of purpose.
The situation described is diffrent, but you completely repond and I will be able to have some element to find a solution.
In fact, I'm implementing a softwate called DeviceLock, used to control connected devices (usb, network, drive). But this software, once installed, change the local printer parameters from "print directly to the printer" to ""start printing after last page is spooled".
As we use redirected folder in our environment and users cannot use local drive (for user's data backup) you will understand the problem.
Of course, we should be able to force the correct settings back, But Devicelock seem to change this settings after policy refresh.
I have contact with Devicelock about this problem of course as their software modify the settings, but was looking for a reason why we were not able to use the "start printing after last page is spooled" parameters with adobe Printer.

PS:The driver's dialog won't prevent you from setting “Start printing after last page is spooled” or “Print directly to the printer” but setting either of those options will cause the operations to fail as you note.
note that only "Start printing after last page is spooled" cause an error and this, only for network share location. The "print directly to the printer" or the "start printing immediately" work fine either on a local drive and a network share

Since most YouTube content requires the Flash plugin, uninstall then reinstall the plugin > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS

WS10000276 and start condition

Once I have activated the WF WS10000276, I can't control the WF WS10000276 by start condition.
The reason is that I have 3 3 workflows for BUS2121 ( WS10000276 is one of them). So I want to control the starting of the WF based on the condition "&EC Requirement Coverage Request.Requester User.Company&". But always WS10000276 is activated.
Please help.

we have the same and it works fine. In our system (SRM 4.0) the starting condition looks like
&_EVT_OBJECT.REQUISITIONERUSER.COMPANY& = 50000001
for workflows 1 and 2 and
&_EVT_OBJECT.REQUISITIONERUSER.COMPANY&<> 50000001
for workflow 3.
(<> means the "unequal" sign provided by the condition editor)

On popup window was a labbel "XUL runner", and then :" error:Platform version '1.9.2.13' is not compatible with vrersion minVersion>=1.9.2.15

Just few details.
I have Firefox instaled on D: disc because my system crashed and after reinstaling OS on C: disc i haven't insatled it but just just used old one just moved to D: disc.
So my only problem is that I wont to get a hold of unbackuped bookmarks in that Firefox, and then one can instal Firefox4.

I experienced this error updating from Firefox 3.6.13 to 3.6.14 and resolved it by doing a 'clean' install' as described. It occurred again in updating from 3.6.14 to 3.6.15 and this time a clean install failed to rectify it. (Anyway, I don't want to have to go through this every time.)
Work-around: Shut down Firefox. Edit application.ini (typically "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\application.ini")

one more try with the reset. hold those buttopns until you see the apple logo. ignore the red slider.

When we apply start conditions to any particular even linkage you will find check function module as SWB_2_CHECK_FB_START_COND_EVAL. However, what if i want to implement both a custom check function module AND start conditions ?
My requirement is to implement both start conditions and check function module.
Is this possible ?

You can use both of the things, however its advisable to check all start conditions if you are using check FM.

I have created a new date rule (4 days before - reminder) and
added this date rule to the date profile 000000000003. I am
using this date profile in my actions and have set a new start
condition to trigger an e-mail alert when "todays date" = my new

No, I didn't create an Action Profile. I use standard profile: /SCWM/TU (Shipping & Receiving - Transportation Unit).
I only have created a new Action Definition, Schedule and Start Conditions for this Definition. All work correctly with the exception of the button 'Start Condition Parameter'.
I don't know why the button appears because I didn't define a Condition Parameter for the Start Condition. And when I click on this button I get an error in standard SAP code:
1) li_bor_object ?= l_context->appl.
2) ls_bor_handle = li_bor_object->get_bor_object( ip_objtype = l_objtype ).
L_context->appl has value '' in the debugger. After line 1 the value of the li_bor_object is '' therefore line 2 terminates the transaction with error.
Maybe this occurs because the Action Profile uses a Persistent Class for Object Type instead of a Business Object Repository?

Start PC using Event

but for PC job name always start with 'BI_PROCESS_TRIGGER', so how i can give the jobname to start the PC ?

Hi Jimmy,
Right click on the start variant..for your process chain.. and click on Maintain variant..--> click on change selection.. and choose after event --> give the event name. Schedule process chain..
To check if the job name is based on event. go to SM37 and make your selections after event " your event name" and execute.. you get to see job released ..and if you double click..you notice in Job start section-->After event "your event name".

Ok, i'm sorry, my english is not yet fluent.
I'm searching a solution for an SAP administrator.
Here is his problem :
He must launch an Abap program with a job1.
The abap programm :
1>generates a spool in which you can find status code like OK or NOK and
2>raises an event (EVT_CONTINUE) only if the spool contains OK code.
Afterwards, The administrator wants to launch job2 if
2 conditions are OK :
Condition 1 : EVT_CONTINUE is raised
Condition 2 : job 1 is terminated
My question is : is-it possible with a transaction like sm36 or another to do that. (my objective is to avoid
writing an abap program)
