RSD the first day i got my macbook, am i the unluckiest or what...?
first, my order was delayed for THREE WEEKS!! then the day i got my computer, RSD occurred. all sorts of random shut down too, the shut down without any message, the message of multiple languages to restart, and the fact that i can't even turn it on for a long period of time after RSD occurs.
it seems that RSD happens to people after some time, but mine happened the first day i got my computer...
I'm sorry to hear that your macbook RSD the first time you got it. That *****! Did you get the Black Macbook or the White? I just got my Black Macbook from Ebay and I only paid $1,100 for it and it had 2ghrz processor and 2 gig RAM. The person I bought it from, got it in the middle of June so it still have 9 months of warranty. It works great no RSD, I hope I never get it 'cause I am using it right now and it works great! I am loving it! The first day I got it, I used it all night until the morning and did the yes test to see if it will RSD. It never RSD so I hope it will stay this way at least up to when I am ready to buy the new model of macbook. Hopefully in two years.

I restored my phone and now it is asking me to activate it and i am trying but it is saying i cant activate my phone with my own id that i have to use the id that i used to set up my iphone the very first day i got it but that is the id. help please
You can try calling Apple support at 0800-761-0880 and explaining the situation to them. Perhaps there will be something they can do to help. Try asking to speak with a Customer Relations representative, though I don't know if they have them in Brazil.

First day with iphone 5, forgot passcode to get in. What can i do?
Today is my first day with my iphone 5. I set a passcode to get into the phone, and now seem to have forgotten it. What can i do?
Unfortunately if you have forgotten the passcode the only way to access the phone would be to restore to factory settings via recovery mode. to do this follow the article below:

hope this helps -

Macbook Pro with Retina Display crash 3 times on the first day
This is my first Mac computer and it's not a cheap one.
I upgraded the spec on the laptop so it took a while for it to ship.
But within the first day, I got three crash already. I google on the issues and it seems like I'm not the only one who having this problem.
From what I read over the web, the crash is related to the graphic card.
Will this issues be resolve any time soon by update?
Should I go exchange for a new one at the apple store? I really don't want to wait another month again.
System Spec:
2.6Ghz i7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD.

From what we know so far, the problem is a software one (Apple's fault), not a hardware problem. Mountain Lion is supposed to fix the issue, which should be out in about a week. So you could wait til then, upgrade to ML, and see if its still crashing or not.

Got a MacBook Air 128 flash storage like a month ago and in the last few days I have gon into the "get info" it says there that I have 160 GB avalibile , dos anyone know what could be going on with my Mac?
This issue can be caused by a corrupt local snapshot index. The procedure below will temporarily disable local snapshots and force the index to be rebuilt.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ If you’re running OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the page that opens.
Drag or copy — do not type — the following line into the Terminal window, then press return:
sudo tmutil disablelocal
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command.
To re-enable:
sudo tmutil enablelocal -
Hello
THIS IS RAZA
I GOT A MACBOOK PRO
I HAVE A PROBLEM. PROBLEM IS how to solve this problem i have uploaded in .... all the time few days later on i face this problem in safari..... anyone can help me please.....thanksThis is a scam. Do not phone these people, at best they will charge you for unnecessary 'cleaning' and at worst they will gain access to your Mac and steal your data. You've probably managed to install some 'adware' which is producing this fake warning. 'Adwaremedic' should remove it and is safe to use - please see

My MacBook Air won't turn on? I have to dropped it but earlier in the day I got a notification about a full single drive. I have tried the ideas in the communities but its still not working, help!
See this article:
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3964
Find the section that applies to your computer, and follow the instructions.
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC. -

1) Copy all music files to a thumb drive / external hard drive.
2) Open iTunes on your MacBook Pro (congrats!)
3) Under the File Menu, select "Add to Library." Navigate to the folder with your music in it and click "Open." Bam! Music. -
I just got my MacBook a few days ago and I was tired of the galaxy picture so I changed it to a color since I didn't have photos at that time well now I have photos and whenever I change my background it changes back to the color after I start it up again.
You are still under warranty. Call Apple tech support and let them deal w/it.
You have 14 days to return the computer w/no questions asked. Plus you have 90 days of FREE phone tech support on top of your standard 1 year warranty unless you also purchased AppleCare which gives you an additional 2 years of coverage plus FREE phone support.
Strongly suggest that you take FULL advantage of the above before it runs out. Let Apple deal w/the problems. -
When I open my MacBook Pro for the first time each day, I find condensation on the glass. What can I do to prevent the condensation?
This thread and all the followups are hilarious, if it weren't such a serious problem. OP, you may want to add a bit more information on how this drippy screen problem occurs: where do you live, what are the weather conditions, what are you doing with the Mac when it occurs, etc.
Yes, extreme moisture, to the extent of causing visible condensation, is Very Bad News for any electronic device, and more so with one that isn't tropicalized like the Mac. Besides trying to avoid subjecting it to such extreme temperature changes, using some kind of desiccant to absorb close range moisture and avoidint its use until it dried out, I can suggest placing some kind of absorbent material between the display and the keyboard to prevent the moisture on the glass from finding its way into the computer. Like the protective poliethylene foam protector that came with the Mac when new. Or something like RadTech's ScreenSavrz: http://www.radtech.us/Products/NotebookScreenSavrz.aspx -
First day I had my Apple I was on Craig's List looking at an item and somehow I deleted the return arrow to go back to the original list. So now when I'm on a site, there's no arrow to go back and I have to close and start all over. How do I get the return arrow that I believe is on the left side of the screen? I've never had an Apple, so all of this is new to me. Thanks! Jo
If I understand your question, you need to select View > Customize Toolbar from the Safari menu bar. Drag the back/forward arrows into the toolbar wherever you want them, then click Done.
You can also go back to the previous page by pressing command-left arrow on the keyboard. -
I got my Macbook Pro 17inch (early 2011) back from Apple (they had to replace the logic board) 3 days ago, I had a terrible experience as the genious who gave me my solid state disk for safekeeping lost my disk's brackets thus I had to wait 2 more hours until they find one after 10 days of waiting for the repair. I noticed some weird sounds, like somehting is moving with the mac 1-2 times, even if I have no mechanical parts other than the fans, but my real issue at the moment is that my microphone is not working. I can see the mic in the System Info however and in Audio Midi Setup. In the Audio Midi Setup I see that the master chanel is turned off and I can't turn in on. Ch 1 and 2 are on full. I also noticed the first seconds after the comp. boots the blue bar goes to the middle in the System Preferences -> Sound -> Input. Any ideas what to do or try? I do not want to go back to the apple store as it is 50 minutes away from here and I need my laptop as a computer science student. Everything else is working perfectly.
You need to call both the store that did the repair and Apple directly, warranty service or Apple care, and report this problem with both of them and get a ticket number of some kind (some kind of verification number) that the unit just came back from major service with this problem and that you want it fixed when you can lose the use of it, which is not right now.
Without doing something like that they could easily say it is damage not covered under the normal warranty.
God knows what the repair center did and did not do to it while it was there.
And depending on when you actually bought it the warranty could run out in the mean time. -
I just got my macbook air and i thought i'd set up my email but it is not working and I do not understand anything on the website. I have a gmail account if that helps.
The warranty entitles you to complimentary phone support for the first 90 days of ownership.

I've got a MacBook Pro 15' running 10.6.6. I want to use an external monitor for my graphic design work using Adobe software and thought I'd try an HD TV. I ran a Mini Display to HDMI lead to the TV but the picture quality was disappointing. I also tried a Mini Display to VGA lead and that wasn't much better. I tried all variations of resolutions in System prefs - Displays but nothing helped. Am I getting something wrong? Thanks all.
In addition to pixel density, you are up against the translation driver card in the TV.
If you read the fine print of computer-resolution-capability in the TV user guide, you will see a chart as tall as the manual page. At the top is the smallest resolution capable, at the bottom is the full use of the 1080p in the TV.
Mac falls into the top 25% of the page, maxing out at 1366x768 often. This is because the TV control card is expected to do too much of the work, but is not designed for computer-monitor processing.
I looked at the resolution charts on 2 TVs before deciding to buy a 1080p LCD monitor that has a TV interface/connector. Computer monitor first, TV second. But the thing is only 27 in. Good thing TV is not as important to me as it is to others.
