RSDDSTAT_OLAP event id 3010
Hello Gurus,
We have most of the queries running on BIA now and sometimes, we find that the event 3010 (OLAP: Query Generation) for the query taking very long time. I confirmed that the query or the underlying cubes/MP have not been modified and wonder what could contribute to this big runtime. Please let me know anyone has an idea.
Regards
Shrirama
Thanks for the response Vitaliy,
The time taken is long, something like 1500 secs. This happened for atleast say 6-7 users on one day. All of the sudden, one bad day it happened for 6-7 users for the same query, eventhough there were no changes to the query or underlying architecture. It did not repeat after that or before that, so just one day.

AnyConnect pre Windows login connects and disconnects for some users
Hi,
I have Cisco VPN AnyConnect (version 3.1.0310) clients with a connectivity issue which manifests as follows:
A user boots their Windows 7 SP1 laptop up.
Before Windows login, the user clicks "switch user" and enters their Cisco AnyConnect credentials (this connects OK).
Once the VPN tunnel is established a user logs into Windows.
At this point, 1 of 2 things happen:
1. Most users VPN connection stays connected and user GPO processing\logins work as normal
2. For a minority of users, the VPN connection disconnects and then reconnects. The VPN disconnect and reconnect causes connectivity issues with mapped drives and Outlook (most likely due to GPO processing not applying as the VPN tunnel wasn't established at the required time).
There are no known commanalities between problematic users - all users are in the same OU and laptops are in the same OU, so they should be getting the same AD settings. The same user can login 14 times OK, but may experience this issue on the 15th occasion.
Within the profile xml file (stored in c:\program data\) the key "AutoConnectStart" is set to false for user controllable and default value. The XML policy settings are being applied correctly (we've checked Event ID 3010 within the Cisco AnyConnect Windows logs).
What we have noticed from using the back end Cisco monitoring client is that users who experience connection issues, connect pre windows login OK, but once they're logged into Windows the Cisco VPN AnyConnects seems to try and re-connect, which causes the current VPN tunnel to disconnect and re-connect. This disconnect and re-connect for users seems to cause issues with logon and GPO processing.
So far, the only rock solid way we've found of stopping this disconnect and re-connect behaviour is by configuring a system deny permission on registry key "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run". This key contains an entry for Cisco AnyConnect VPN. Unfortunately setting a deny on the individual node value isn't possible and if the key is deleted or modified the system re-creates it. I'd rather avoid setting a system deny on the key for all users.
Any advice on how troubleshoot and diagnose this problem is appreciated.
ThanksI've attached some log files in case someone is particularly keen eyed at spotting issues (all data is anonymized)

Query counter : event 3100 not logged in table RSDDSTAT_OLAP
Hi experts,
We have a customer scenario where in the table RSDDSTAT_OLAP table is not getting populated with the eventID '3100' when a query is executed. Due to this the query counter is not getting any value ( according to extractor logic RSTC_BIRS_OLAP_AGGREGATED_DATA)
The changes of the notes : 1250182 ,1505325, 1093755 are already present in the cutomer system.
Hence would like to know the cases in which OLAP read eventid 000003100 would not get recorded in the table RSDDSTAT_OLAP, on execution of the query .
Thanks in Advance,
KeerthiHi,
It's a good decision you made because you shouldn't create objects in the SYS schema. I see you're using the add_job_email_notification procedure, so I'm assuming you're on 11g onwards.
This procedure is meant to make the job easy for you. That is, you don't need to worry about setting up AQ, the procedure does it all for you. All you need to do is setup the mail server if not already done, and call this procedure to add the mail notification. That's it.
You can also specify a filter to the add_job_email_notification procedure, so maybe you could specify directly your CLIENT.LOAD_DATA job to this procedure. -
Statistics - High runtime spent for Event 15013
Hello Experts,
we are recognizing in RSDDSTAT_OLAP high runtimes spent for event 15013 (Process Dialog). E.g. we have the follwing statistics:
StepUID with total runtime of 1090 sec. (thereof event 15013 with Object "SELECTOR" 775 sec and Event 0 (not assigned) with 276 sec).
Other cases come up with event 15013 and Object values "VARIABLE_SCREEN" or "SAVE_DIALOG" or "OPEN_DIALOG". Users are complaining about the long response time till opening the variable screen or processing the F4 (-> SELECTOR). However we are not able to reproduce this extreme runtimes, they simply happen from time to time for di8fferent users without a pattern or a specific query.
We are using BEx 7.0 Queries, Citrix Distribution, LAN-Network, running on SAPKA70013, SAPKB70013 and SAPKW70015. Several OSS-Notes regarding performance have been applied.
Any idea how to interpretate those sporadic high runtimes on Event 15013 ? Can this be caused by a lock situation, waiting for free dialog process (should not be the fact from my observation) or anything else to investigate on.
Best regardsHi Were you able to resolve this issue, we are also facing an issue where the runtime for the F4 selection of the variables is running forever and not returning any values. But we can still input the values and run the query.
Thanks,

How can I see Calendar event END times at a glance?
How can I display my Calendar event titles exactly as I type them? I do not want Calendar to remove duration from the titles of my events. Otherwise I can't see event END times at a glance in month view; only start times. How can I "trick" Calendar to just show my titles as I type them - as I always could before I upgraded. I used to be able to enter "Seminar 9am-5:45" and it would appear that way regardless of how or what I chose to enter (or not enter) for duration.
I am running OSX 10.9.3.It's a bit weird, but if you type in the time info TWICE into the event title then Calendar uses/deletes one of them to populate the event details and leaves the other.

Event List view in iCal?
I would love to have an Event List view in iCal like I do on the calendar on my iPhone. Is there such a thing? The particular reason for wanting it (this time) is that one of the calendars in the ON MY MAC list has a number in a oval to the right.
I believe this is trying to tell me that there is a new event that I need to do something about. Problem is, I don't know where to find it.ecernek,
There is no event list option on iCal like the one on the iPhone.
That number means that you have an event invitation. Use iCal>View>Show Notifications to choose what to do with the notification. -
In the Monthly view of iCal the only events that show a color bar in the event is the Birthday Calendar. All other events in all my other calendars only show a color bullet next to the event (unless I click on that event which then shows as a color bar). I would like to know if it is possible for all the calendar events to have a color bar in the monthly view instead of just that tiny color bullet.
Greetings Judith,
Before making any attempts at deleting calendar data, backup what you have just in case:
Click on each calendar on the left hand side of iCal one at a time highlighting it's name and then going to File Export > Export and saving the resulting calendar file to a logical location for safekeeping.
iCal has an automated function located in iCal > Preferences > Advanced > Delete events "X" days after they have passed. By typing in a value for days you can tell iCal to delete all events before that time frame.
Example:
Today is 4-16-2012.
If I wanted to delete all events prior to 1 year ago (4-16-2011) I would type in "365" for the number of days.
Once you type in the number of days you want kept in iCal, close the preferences and then quit iCal.
Re-open iCal and check to see if the events are gone. If not you may want to leave it open for several minutes and then quit again.
Once the events are removed go back to iCal > Preferences > Advanced > Delete events "X" days after they have passed and make sure the check mark is removed to prevent future deletion.
Hope that helps. -
Can you show at a glance which event images are in albums?
Say I had an event containing multiple similar but different images, is there a way to show in the grid view for example which images have already been used in one or more albums?
Would be handy to be able to select a 'show list of albums containing this image'dialogue box. I guess you could hide images you've used but that wouldn't work automatically, nor would any other tagging/rating.
Another approach would be to make albums containing everything in a given event, then move the images out of that album once used, just seems fiddly to me.
ACAC
Would be handy to be able to select a 'show list of albums containing this image'dialogue box.
Yes it would and many people have suggested tit. Add your voice to the chorus at iPhoto Menu -> Provide Apple Feedback.
A workaround - and it's no better - is to go to an album and select al, then give all those pics a keyword. Then in grid view you can see which pics have the keyword. (View -> Keywords)

Its really strange that its not able to caputure the event in CO.
Below is the way in which we handle to Submit action at CO level.
/Check whether ClearBtn is same in case too.
if(pageContext.getParameter("ClearBtn")!=null){
System.out.println("Inside the Clear Btn Action");

When I sync my iPod through iTunes new events on my iPod do not show up on my Mac and old events do not delete. I have read help instructions that include deleting the data on the iPod. The iPod has the correct data and the Mac does not so I have not followed those instructions. I need help as the only reason I bought the Mac was to be able to sync, back up, view and print my calendar. Currently it is useless.
