I recently had Little Snitch block ".rserv wants to connect to cuojshtbohnt. Moments ago, I blocked another that said ".rserv wants to connect to krymbrjasnof." I searched my Launch Agent and computer for "rserv" but come up with nothing. Since I have no idea what these sites are, I blocked them "forever". There is no effect on the running of my MacBook Pro. I was away from my computer for an hour and came back to that message. Unless someone tells me this is a necessary connection for something important, I will continue to block anything rserv wants to connect to. There is a thread on cuojshtbohnt, but I have not seen anything for krymbrjasnof yet. So, maybe its a new, alternate site if it cannot connect to the first one?

Trash the com.adobe.plist from your home folder > Library > launchAgents.
To remove the .rserv file you will either need to use the rm command in terminal (check the other thread for the correct form), or unhide files by either using Tinker Tool or entering this in Terminal; {copy and paste - spaces, capitalisation and punctuation are important}
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles -bool true; killall Finder
You'll then find the file in the Macintosh HD > Users > zenorac > .rserv
To hide the files again, return to terminal and enter;
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles -bool false; killall Finder
Or turn it off in TinkerTool.
(all TT does is enter the terminal commands for you).

The Late 2009 model 6,1 has a Mini DisplayPort not the Mini-DVI. To see which model you have go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When the System Profiler comes up check the Model Identifier.

Hi guys thank you for your replays but i am still stuck...
wiston it is a home cinema surround sound system with LG dvd player with NO optical outlet. one hdmi one scart outlet i have my speakers all running through the back of the LG reciever not (amplifier) i have only 2 hdmi outlets at the back of the tv and a opitcal outlet,the two hdmi ports is for sky hd the other is the hdmi junction box, therefore i am using a hdmi junction box with my ps3 and LG and apple tv running through,then i press a switch from one to another to play ps3 and LG DVD player bit of a pain but all works through surround sound how i want it too only ps3 and LG dvd player though.NOT apple tv ...

Selecting the correct adapter and cable depends on which year model iMac you have and what inputs the TV has?
Check the User's Guide that came with your iMac or your Spec's at > Apple - Support - Technical Specifications

Assuming your MBP is a recent model, i.e. bought in the last couple of years, and that your TV has HDMI inputs (if you've bought it new then that's a safe assumption) then you need a mini-displayport to HDMI cable. The Apple Store sell one:

Well, I really would love the new unreleased mac pro however , I'm not sure of the expected cost , Everyone speculates from $3,000 to $8,000, in which I may have to wait a while to purchase.

i have a macbook pro. i want to connect it to projector and i have a minidisplay to vga adapter. i could connect my MBP to benq projector successfully and for all other displays( Monitors). but when i connect it to optoma projector, MBP detects the display as OPTOMA XGA but nothing on bigger screen. i tried changing the resolution and refresh rate also but no changes.
In my office we got benq projectors , for that it is working very well.(plug and play).
and also i want to say that there is no problem with the optoma projector seems, because all other windows laptops are working well with that.

For the "Arangements" option to appear, the external display must be turned on with the correct input selected and connected to the computer. Then close system prefs, reopen, go to "Display" and "Arrangement" will be along the top.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

The problem is that all services are bundled with your Apple ID ([email protected]):
Your iCloud account (Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, Notes, Backups, etc.),
also iTunes & App Store purchases (Music, Movies, TV Shows, etc.),
and the iTunes Match services.
(I guess that all your devices - yours and your wife's are connected to one iTunes library, right?)
If you want that your wife gets her own iCloud account for Mail, Contacts, Calendars, etc. but gets also access to your media then you have two set up two things on her device:
iCloud (Settings > iCloud) with her account (e.g. [email protected])
and
iTunes & App Stores (Settings > iTunes & App Stores) with your account (e.g. [email protected]).
In this case she gets access to your library and could use the same iTunes Match account.

AirPlay isn't anything to do with homesharing. (Home sharing lets you share the iTunes libraries on computers)
Basic AirPlay: Assuming both devices are on the same network and that AirPlay is not turned off on the Apple TV, then simply tap on the screen when you are watching content you wish to stream to your Apple TV, then tap the airplay icon that appears in the control bar, choose the Apple TV from the menu that appears.
Mirroring: When displaying the content you wish to mirror on the iPad 2 (or better), iPad Mini, iPhone 4S (or better), double tap the home button (quickly) and swipe the bottom row of apps to the right to reveal the playback controls, tap the AirPlay icon and select your Apple TV from the list of available devices.
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router.
Restart your mobile device.
