RSL Error 1 of 2

Has anyone experienced an error message "RSL Error 1 of 2" when trying to create greeting cards or photo books on photo sites? I tried Safari and FireFox, deleted my cache and cookies, and receive the same error message.

Sorry for the long delay - other project priorities bumped this one. (and thanks for the help)
Flushing browser cache resulted in same issue - I checked ALL the boxes EXCEPT "Preserve Favorites Website Data", so cookies, temp internet files, history, etc. were ALL cleared.  Still get dialog box with:
"RSL error 1 of 2" centered in the "Base Rate Calculator" box, with a small "Error #2032" at the bottom of the dialog.
Looking at logs - more later.

  • RSL Error 3 of 3 - Is this problem to do with Flash Player?

In trying to access sailing screens on www.sailonline.org I get the message "RSL Error 3 of 3", with the following at the foot of the page.
"Flex Error #1001: Digest mismatch with RSL http://www.sailonline.org/static/windy/framework_3.5.0.12683.swf. Redeploy the matching RSL or relink your application with the matching library."
There is discussion on this in the sailonline site, but the solutions suggested have not worked for me.  I see also similar being discussed elsewhere on internet.
    Does anyone know about this?

"Flex Error"  would indicate that the problem lies within the SWF.
A "workaround" that may work is listed here: https://success.salesforce.com/answers?id=90630000000gxC9AAI, but the posters also acknowledge that the problem is in the content and not the Player.

  • RSL error #2032 with IE8, Win7 Flash ver. 11.8.800.168

I have some users that are getting a RSL error # 2032. The only ones getting this error are running IE8, Windows 7 and have Flash Version 11.8.800.168. Users running IE9, Windows 7 do not get this error. Is there a solution to this?

No, we are not able to repair IE. We are controlled by GPO. Would you happen to know of any GPO that would cause this error in IE8?
    Thanks for your reply.

  • RSL error 2046 inconsistent

Hi, I am attempting to do framework caching. It seems to work
fine, as long as I hardcode the complete host name for the url. If
I attempt to use relative paths as the docs say you can do,
however, it then fails to load ("rsl error 1 of 2") with a code
2046 at the bottom of the browser which indicates a problem with
the signature of the .swz file. What seems very strange, however,
is 1. why it works hardcoded as I described and 2. why it shows the
.swf file being the problem according to the browser. The browser
    gets a 404 on this:
    http://framework_3.2.0.3958.swf/
No surprise, since that is not the host nor the context root
of my app. The .swz file, however, does get the correct host and
    context root every time.
I am trying to do this like so:
    quote:
    <runtime-shared-library-path
    path-element="${FLEX_HOME}/frameworks/libs/framework.swc">
    <url rsl-url="framework_${build.number}.swz" />
    <url rsl-url="framework_${build.number}.swf" />
    </runtime-shared-library-path>
    <runtime-shared-library-path
    path-element="${FLEX_HOME}/frameworks/libs/rpc.swc">
    <url rsl-url="rpc_${build.number}.swz" />
    <url rsl-url="rpc_${build.number}.swf" />
    </runtime-shared-library-path>
all my swfs are under web/swfs. My app has an html page with
a swf in it under web/html . I have tried various combinations of
relative urls including ../swfs/framework_${build.number}.swz to no
avail. I'm stumped so any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

You should never see this error. There is nothing wrong with your application, the problem is with the RSL. Each milestone release has a set of RSLs that are signed correctly. The nightly builds do not have RSLs. Do not use any RSLs that you might find in an "add-on" link. Can you provide a link of where you loaded the RSLs from?

  • Flex Error #1001: Digest mismatch with RSL error

I apologize if this is not the correct location for this question but it was the closest I could find.
I am working in salesforce trying to add a new content pack.  This screen uses a tool written in flash.  The screen that comes up is an error with the following:
Flex Error #1001: Digest mismatch with RSL
    https://cs13.salesforce.com/_swf/121310/sfc/flex/framework_3.5.0.12683.swf.
Redeploy the matching RSL or relink your application with the matching
    library.
I have been working with SalesForce support but they don't have a clue and want to punt to Adobe.
The support staff at SalesForce has no trouble accessing the page with the flash control from thier pc.  I have tried several computers in my office and from several browsers (IE 9 and Chrome).  I have reinstalled Flash Player 11 and cleared browser caches.  Nothing seems to work.
It has to be something common to computers in my office or my network.  All of the information I can find on the Internet talks about rebuilding the application and redeploying it.  I can't do that since this is part of SalesForce and not something I own.  Also, it works for them on their computers.
I am running windows 7 64 bit.  I have McAfee running (and have checked that Flash is not blocked).
The flash player itself works when I go to the Adobe site and try other content.
The only other odd thing I have is that my hard drive is encrypted.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Chris,
I have cleared the browsser and flash cache data then restarted browswers and windows. Still no luck.  I reverted the flash player back to 10.3 after following the instructions in the link you provided for a clean install but still get the error.  SalesForce did not state what version of FlashPlayer they are using but I will check with them later today.
All of the machines that I have tested on have been at the office and all have encrypted hard drives with PGP desktop.  I am going to try my laptop on my home network tonight to see if we are blocking something during the download.
This is driving me nuts.  I know is it something specific to the machines in the office or the office network but I can't find it.
Thanks for your help.  Please let me know if you have any other ideas.

  • RSL Error 1001

Flex Error #1001: Digest mismatch with RSL
framework_3.0.189825.swf. Redeploy the matching RSL or relink your
    application with the matching library.
    Hello good people,
I have tried fixing this according to the following URL's
    instructions:
    http://www.duzengqiang.com/blog/article.asp?id=681
but it's either not doing it or I keep scewing it up.
    I have also read:
    http://livedocs.adobe.com/labs/flex3/html/help.html?content=rsl_07.html
and it doesn't look like I'm screwing it up, but I could me missing
something. The real issue is that I tried to show this at my
customer's location and now no matter what I do, I can't seem to
either get rid of the files that are in the browser cache or it
just doesn't work. It only does it when deployed to the server. It
never happens on my development machines.
I don't have a computer here that it doesn't work on, even my
wife's machine runs it just fine and she doesn't have a development
environment, so I'm a little confused as to how to handle this.
If someone has a ready answer i would appreciate it. If you
need to view the site to experience the issue then send me a
private message on this forum and I'll send you the link.
    Thanks,

    Okay Darrell,
Your file worked. I was able to run with ,45, after uploading
it to the server. I believe I understand why this was happening.
You can tell me if I’m wrong, if it matters. Below version
,115, the player RSL’s are not signed and the player loads
the swc file, not the swz file.
This became apparent to me when I saw that on the FLEX Build
Path-->Library Path Tab, there existed a build path library of:
    framework.swc.
Expanding this library revealed an RSL URL property with the
signed library -- framework_3.0.189825.swz – as the value.
Underneath the RSL URL as an attached property is listed the
Failover RSL URL with a value of -- framework_3.0.189825.swf --.
I’m a simple man, so I’ll just put it this
way… When the player can’t make sense of an swz file
because it can’t load signed files, it looks for the swf
file. Since the swf is not signed, it has a digest that links it
with the application to provide security protection. For some
reason the framework_3.0.189825.swf library that came with the sdk
and by default was being used by my application was not linked
properly. By the way, this happened on a new install to a virgin
    machine.
Okay, I used the ant file, and had to modify it to get it to
work. For one, it’s not well formed, missing a /java end tag.
Second, and this is what I need you to verify for me, I don’t
    know why the line
    OpenElementTag--arg line=&quot;--digest.rsl-file
    @{rsl-dir}/@{swc-name}.swf --digest.swc-path
    @{swc-dir}/@{swc-name}.swc&quot; --CloseElementTag
would work because the swc-name needs to be framework in
order for the optimizer to output it with the correct name (at
least to stay within the naming conventions we are using). So what
happens is the argument line --digest.rsl-file
@{rsl-dir}/@{swc-name}.swf cannot find the swf that was created by
the optimizer since the swc-name variable does not match the name
that was created with the optimizer (--output
    '@{rsl-dir}/@{swc-name}_3.0.${build.number}.swf' =
    framework_3.0.189825.swf). I tried to use the ${build.number}
again, but it must be getting assigned from the metadata of the
optimizer, I can’t quite figure it out. I finally got it to
work, by hard coding the name in like so…
    OpenElementTag--arg line=&quot;--digest.rsl-file
    @{rsl-dir}/framework_3.0.189825.swf --digest.swc-path
    @{swc-dir}/@{swc-name}.swc&quot;--CloseElementTag
I’ll get back into my Ant documentation and see if I
can figure out how to code for that.
I am attaching the build file I created. Place it in the
root\sdks\3.0.0\frameworks directory and it should work right out
of the box. It is setup to use the standard directories. This is a
windows installation, but it should work on Linux.
I hope we can put this to rest. Please correct me if I have
misunderstood what is happening. You have my heartfelt thanks for
your assistance and if you're at the 360 conference, let me know
and I'll buy you a draft.
    Sincerely,

  • "Cannot place this file - ??? 28962-ALDCL6RC.RSL" error message

Using PM 6.5 in Classic mode on Mac (OS 10.4.11). I have an existing pagemaker document that contains an EPS file that I need to change. When I try to update link to new EPS file or place it, I get the "cannot place this file" message. I am creating EPS in Illustrator 6.0 (also in Classic mode.) I have tried to place EPS file in a new Pagemaker document and get the same message. This used to work. I would really appreciate any help.

I seem to recall that PageMaker wasn't a good friend of EPS files, but I could be wrong after so many years not using it. I would try with TIFFs, just in case.

  • RSL Digest error 1001 - only effects 10-15% of our users

We recently deployed an updated version of a Flash application on website, using the same sdk as for previous versions.
However, now some users report they cannot load the application and are getting error 1001 reporting that the digest entries do not match for the RSL "framework_3.5.0.12683.swf".
We used this same library compiled as an RSL with the previous version of our application,  which all could access just fine.
What I really cannot understand is why only a minority of our users would experience this problem (and most either have up to date plugins etc, or updated to latest version in attempting to get the new application to work), while most can access the application just fine.
THe only thing that really changed was we now use the swfobject method to embed the flash content, previously we had been using the AC_OETags.js to embed the Flash content...
Of the users who are effected by this, some ar on Windows, some Mac - and all different browsers to - so there is no pattern whatso-ever to help identify the problem...
We use Flex SDK 3.5 (but I have Flash Builder set to compile against 4.1 using compatibility mode 3.5) and this is not new this release... (I like being able to access the ASDoc from within FB ;-) )
Any help much appreciated - thanks in advance,
    Aaron

    Hi Aaron,
Would you mind reposting this question over on the Flex forums?  This forum is more geared for end users.  In particular, you might want to take a look (or post on) the following thread:
    RSL Error 1001
I suspect Darrell Loverin would be a good person to ask as he implemented the RSL feature in Flex 3.
    Thanks,

  • RSL load error #2046

    Hi,
I have been experiencing this error when I try to use the framework.swc RSL with flex sdk 3.5. I receive an RSL Error #2046: The loaded file did not have a valid signature.
The file specifically is framework_3.5.0.12683.swz - and I have tried with both the version in the open source SDK, as well as the one that comes with Flash Builder 4. I am compiling my swf with mxmlc, and I am pretty sure the config and settings are all correct. When I keep the same settings and use flex 3.0 I have no problems with the RSL.
If I build the project in FlashBuilder with 3.5 with RSLs and run from there, it will load correctly and the swz is cached. However, with the same swf and framework files run outside of FlashBuilder and a cleared cache, I once again get the error.
I searched around and found almost the same issue someone had with datavisualization_3.5.0.12683 here http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FB-25156 . The issue was resolved and I see that a new version of the datavisualization RSL is available for download on the Adobe site. Is there the same issue with the framework.swc? Are there any other possible sources for this error?
    Thanks

I always get this error using Flex Builder 3 after updating to a new SDK version. I don't use mxmlc to compile, but I can tell you in my case I have to adjust the RSL URL settings.
    In Flex 3:
    -->PROJECT-->PROPERTIES
    Flex Build Path
    Library Path tab
Expand the node which reads "Flex 3.x - C:\program Files\..."
    Expand the node: "framework.swc"
    Select the node: RSL URL
Check the version number here, if it is wrong, edit to match the SDK being used.
      i.e.  "framework_3.5.0.12683.swf"    and "framework_3.5.0.12683.swz"
You might check this before you compile using mxmlc.

  • PI2: Error #2032 in Monitoring Deployment

    Hi,
Always and with all PI installations I know I get an Error #2032 with "Message (RSL Error 2 of 7)" in Deploy => Monitoring Deployment, if I try to assign a monitoring template to a device or port group. Is there a workarround or bugfix out?
    thx for hints in advance,
    Steffen

    Hi!
I have experience the same problem under different tools in PI. I did notice it first under “Deploy>Monitoring deployment>Interface Health template>deploy and I get the 2032 error.
I have learn that this occurs when you use a client with no internet connection and you try to start above deployment tools.
What happens is that when you try to open such page in PI web interface, the flash player starts and try to get some files on the PI but the URL it get from the PI application points to a library that do not contains the file (Bug in PI?). The files the flash player looks for is called something like framework_4.5.1.21328.swz and spark_4.5.1.21328.swz and so on. The url from PI looks like https://PI_Server/webacs/applications/SAMDeployTemplate/js/framework_4.5.1.21328.swz but the file is missing.
The flash player have a backup way to get the xxxxxx.swz files it needs. If it can’t find the files in the application, it try to get it from Adobe http://fpdownload.adobe.com . But in my case my client can’t access internet so I get the error 2032.
I have another installation at another site that allows internet access everything works fine. The flash player can load the files it needs and store them locally on the client PC. Then I can take that PC back to the another site with no internet access where I did get the 2032 error and now It works fine because the flash player have the files it needs to handle the PI application.
I have a case open but it has not been solved yet.

  • RSL loader

I get the RSL error everytime I try to export my .fla file. Is there ANY way I can fix this? I got quite alot textwindows, so I could really need help on making a preloader or find another way of fixing this?...

don't use tlf textfields unless you need them.  if you do need them and you don't want to use a runtime shared library, click file/publish settings/flash/actionscript 3.0 settings/library path and select merged into code for your default linkage.

  • Cannot access Adobe website with Safari under Lion

    Hi guys,
I have 5 macs at home and upgraded two of them with Lion. Since then, these two computers (MBP 17" + imac 27") can no longer access Adobe website (the other three macs + my ipad 2 can still access Adobe website without any problem).
Message errors I get: "Safari cannot connect to server" or in some other cases I get a grey screen with "RSL Error 1 of 1, Error #2048".
This occurs only on Adobe website regardless:
    - The web browsers I use (Safari, Firefox, Opera)
    - Enabling cookies or not
    - Switching on/off my firewall (Little Snitch)
    - Reseting Safari cache, history, etc.
I also tried to reboot in safe mode but it still did not work.
I uninstalled Flash player and reinstalled it. Same problem occured.
I updated all my softs to latest versions.
I need to access Adobe website since I am about to purchase online CS5 but so far I just can't.
Anyone has a clue to what's going on?
    Should I reinstall Lion?
In advance thanks for your help.

Try again. Adobe announced a four-hour maintenance shutdown yesterday and most likely you got caught up in it.

  • Flash CS5: Runtime Shared Library

    Hi,
I'm having a problem publishing my flash files. Everything was fine up until a few days ago and now all of a sudden I get an error message when I try to publish telling me that the file won't publish due to a RSL error. It advises me to alter my publish settings as follows:
    Publish settings
    Advanced AS3 settings
    Runtime Shared Library      settings
    error:      text_layout_1.0.0.595.swz for TLF text
I'm told that the swf will not run without a preloader. There are two options available: custom preloader and merge into code. I am inserting the animations into a captivate project. If I choose custom preloader the animations won't run in Cp. When I try to insert them Cp only recognises them as being 2 frames long. If I choose the merge into code option it makes my captivate project go completely haywire.
Any suggestions? Ideas? I'm pretty much just learning how to use authoring tools and have a deadline looming for this project in a few weeks.
Thanks for any and all help!
    Maedhbh

    a) do you absolutely need TLF text?
Merging the SWZ into code makes sense for your needs, what exactly happens in captivate with it?
Remember that Captivate 4 has been released before CS5, so I would say that there might be a few errors or workarounds when mixing these two.
You might want to check over on the captivate forums, if anyone there experienced similar.
