RSP 2.4 and WebDav

I'm running into some problems of trying to setup webdav to work with RSP.  I've installed webDav via IIS 7.0 and have played around some settings.  It seems to be functional at the moment but as I'm still unable to connect to the webdav server from the Remote Support Platform.  Is there a step I'm missing? or can anyone provide some steps to configure it properly?

Hello!
I have a problem with using RSP 2.4 for connecting with SAP Support and our partners. For the first time, I've tried to establish a connection between two our sbo-servers via RSP. ISS was activated on both servers and WebDAV was on.
I've installed RSP 2.4 and here is some steps in the Installation Wizard (on sboname1):
* Internet Connection: Enable HTTP Proxy - Address, Port, UserName, Password are input and Test Connection is successful;
* SAP Channel: System Number, Installation Number, S-User, Password are input and Test Connection to SAP server is successful;
* Partner Channel: WebDAV URL = http://sbonumber2:name2, sa user and password are ok, but no positive result in Test Connection. Name2 should be defined on another sbo-server in that RSP - but it didn't help.
* Software Updates: Download Authorization is not successful in contempt of the same S-User and Password input...
So I need to skip some ticks and as a result there is no connection between sboname1 and sboname2.
Is there some instruction for WebDAV-setup for RSP?

  • Windows Explorer View, Server 2012 and WebDAV

I am using SharePoint Server 2013 on Windows Server 2012. I cannot get Windows Explorer View working from client machines on this server. These machines are Windows 8, running IE 10 (I am also having problems on my Windows 7 / IE 9 machine).
I have done everything on the client that I have read about (Trusted Site, the WebClient services, the patch mentioned in a Kb article), but to no avail.
The client machines CAN open Windows Explorer View on a SharePoint Foundation site that I have hosted on the internet, although in this instance they access the internet directly, rather than through the company network.
Therefore, I take it that my problem lies either on our SharePoint server, or somewhere in the network. The Proxy does not seem to be a problem as this is bypassed for local sites.
Somedody said for an earlier version of SharePoint that the WebDAV server role should be
disabled (which seems counter-intuitive).  Does this make sense, or what else should I be looking at on either my server or in the network environment?

    Thanks for the reply.
I get the standard message ("We're having a problem opening this location in File Explorer. Add this web site to your Trusted Sites list and try again"). I am not using HTTPS.
I do not think that the WebDAV is irrelevant on the server, as there are two separate things there:
Desktop Experience Feature, which installs the WebClient service to allow the server to use WebDAV, and
WebDAV Publiching Role under Common HTTP functions
Curiously, after removign the WebDAV Publishign Role, my Win7/IE9 pc (which is not logged on to my client's domain (although I access their network and use SharePoint in my browser) DOES allow Windows Explorer View.
The domain PCs do not allow it, still.  They get challnged for a user name and password three times before they get the standard message.  But, I did test a machine of their connecting to an internet-hosted website, and it could use Explorer View.

  • Dreamweaver and webdav connection

    Hi All,
I was able to create a webdav connection for my site.
I'm getting an error copying some files, I see that it's an issue in CS3
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/402/kb402079.html
I'm testing cs4, still an issue in cs4? where is the patch?
    Thanks!

FYI, It's not an issue with DW CS4... it's an issue with IIS6 and WebDav. (remove a filter in IIS6 for the webdav site)

  • ColdFusion Builder 2 and WebDav

I maintain a website that is hosted by a University.  Files are synced from my local machine to their server using WebDav.  For the previous 5 years I have used Dreamweaver which supports synching to a remote site via WebDav in the site definitions.  I have recently begun using CFBuilder, however, which appears to only support synchronization via SFTP or FTP.  My question is 2 part:
    1. Is there a plugin for CFBuilder / Eclipse that will give me the option of synchronizing via WebDav
    2. If there is no plugin what other option would be *Easy*?  I have Transmit so I suppose I could use it if that is really the best option.
Server is running CF9 and I am on an iMac running CFBuilder 2 on Snow Leopard.
    Thanks.

Please google Eclipse and WebDav. Here is what I turned up.

  • Office 2000 and WebDav

I'm using the ability of Ifs to save edited Office 2000
documents directly to IFS (Web folders & I think this is WebDav
protocol). My problem is that when I open office document from
IFS, a window for network password appears. Window is very
annoying and meanless, because you can press cancle and document
will still open. Problem does not appear with Office 97 (but
it's impossible to use Web folders and WebDav with Office 97).
My qustion is how to set up system, that this window will not
    open.
    Hope somebody knows the answer.

I also ran into this problem. When an Office2000 application is
trying to open the document, it makes a new connection to the
webserver. When doing so, it forgets to send the authentication
headers, so you have to authenticate again.
see also: the Microsoft website. This is a known bug in
    Office2000.
This is fixed in SR-1/SR-1a for Office2000. So I suggest you
install this fix or use the workaround: right-click the document
    and choose "Save As..."

  • Most full featured word processor? (table editing, google docs) and webdav on the ipad

    Hi All,
So I have had a frustrating time trying to add rows to a table in a word processing document on Google Docs. Are there any word processors that support this? Quickoffice and Documents to Go do not as of this writing. (May 26th, 2011.) at least not that I can determine.
Does Office2HD support this feature? Do any of the word processors?
My current thoughts/what Apple needs to do/
Currently I am thinking about buying Pages and then using Goodreader to open the file in pages, and then saving the pages document to idisk/webdav and then moving it to google docs from idisk/webdav using Goodreader (though it appears you can use Readdledocs too.)
According to the makers of Docsportal, if Pages supported Open With, I could Open With Docsportal and it would be uploaded. Alternatively, Docsportal could simply add idisk or webdav support, but I can understand why they are waiting for Apple to get their act together.
Currently, I have discovered that Quickoffice does support mounting quickoffice as a drive as does goodreader. Docs2Go does not support this feature. This is a nice way to get files in and out. The Mac will support WebDAV for the Mac filesystem as of Lion allowing programs like goodreader or readdledocs to connect to it.
    --Sam

I viewed the Office2HD Help file and it seems to support table creation.
    http://www.bytesquared.com/products/office/ipad/basic.asp?product=office2pro#ins ert_table
I will post back once I am able to edit a table.
Office2HD as mentioned elsewhere in this forum supports Google Docs.
It does also support WebDAV (mounting as an external drive.) The help file mentions that it now allows you to navigate using the cursor or arrow keys.

  • Dreamweaver 8, PHP, and WebDAV problems

I'm not sure where else to post this but maybe some of you
    folks out
    there might know the answer.
My web server, running IIS 6, supports both Coldfusion and
    PHP. I've
recently enabled WebDAV for two dreamweaver users who want to
    transfer
files securely using the check-in/check-out/sync processes
    built into
    dreamweaver.
Unfortunately, they are unable to retrieve any PHP files. I
    had the
same problem, I tried to sync the entire web site and all the
    html and
image files came down fine, but ALL of the php files
    generated the
    following error:
/development/index.php - error occurred - An HTTP error
    occurred -
cannot get index.php. Access Denied. The file may not exist,
    or there
    could be a permission problem.
File activity incomplete. 1 file(s) or folder(s) were not
    completed.
    Files with errors: 1
    /development/index.php
the IIS log file shows an HTTP response code of 200 - no
    error.
The file DOES exist, and the permissions are exactly the same
    on all the
files, because I manually set the permissions on the web root
    and had it
apply to all subfolders and files.
I can't figure out why it's failing to retrieve the PHP
    files...
    Rick

Sounds like a MS IIS problem. See if this TechNote helps:
Configuring WebDAV in IIS for use with Dreamweaver
    http://www.adobe.com/go/19095
It has some general IIS/WebDAV tips that might help. For the
    problem
you're seeing, make sure to disable mappings for PHP, CFM,
    ASP, etc.
    Hope this helps,

  • Lag time between Client and WebDAV Update

If I check out a file, make modifications, and then check it back in - it is immediately visible to everybody who connects to server via VC Client software (ie, Bridge or Adobe Dialog.)
However, it takes several minutes (up to ten) for the same change to be visible to people who are connected to the server via WebDAV.
A ) Is this related to Version Cue not pushing the correct data (the "stat" on the file give the correct date. The file will say it was modified at the write time, but opening the file gives the wrong data.)
B ) Or is it a Mac system thing, where it is caching the WebDAV data?
    Thanks,

  • MacOSX and WebDAV

We're having issues getting some macs to open some files from the WebDAV. When connected to the WebDAV server, browsing the filesystem works just fine, but opening some files triggers an endless loop of authentication requests.
This doesn't happen on all files though.. So far, we've found that pdf and xls files don't work in a users personal library, but a text file does in a content services library set to give reader access to anyone.
Has anyone seen similar behavior or gotten things working consistently?

We haven't seen this before. Please file an SR so Oracle Support can walk you through diagnosing it, capturing trace files etc.

  • Problem with some virtual sites and WebDAV

I have a handful of virtual sites on a snow leopard server that have WebDAV turned on to allows the owners of the site to update them. Things were working fine until this weekend when a site owner informed me he has having problems. I use Dreamweaver CS4 to edit sites and when I set them up, I add my admin account to the WebDAV realm allowed to Read/Write and update the site. I confirmed the problem that the owner was having and had the same problem with WebDAV on that site. I quickly checked several others and found that some work fine while others give me an error. Here is the error message I get from Dreamweaver.
I checked the log files for the site and received no useful information. I also looked in /var/log for any entries with WebDAV (grep -i webdav *), and again get no useful information. I tried setting up a new site and got the same error. One thing that I did notice is that the site did not have it's ownership changed to _www and the other sites were and get a feeling that might be part of this. Changing the ownership of all files and directories to _www did not fix the problem.
I'm mystified as to why it works for some sites and not others and am not sure where to go to debug this issue and get it working again.
DNS seems to be OK on the server.
    minime:~ admin$ sudo changeip -checkhostname
    Password:
    Primary address     = 207.65.119.2
    Current HostName    = minime.theporch.com
    DNS HostName        = minime.theporch.com
The names match. There is nothing to change.
    dirserv:success = "success"
Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

I'm also having the same issue. I have a feeling its related to a problem with spaces and Java, assuming that the "Top Sites" is generated with some Java application.
Maybe Septembers OSX update will help.

  • Adobe Muse and Webdav

The server that I am required to use will only accept webdav transfer.  They do not allow ftp.  How do I set up webdav in Adobe Muse?  I know how to set it up in Dreamweaver.

  • Photoshop CC Files and Webdav - mapped drive

Are photoshop files webdav compliant? - we have a document management system  and when we save via webdav and a mapped drive it is not versioning the file.

Well, here's an interesting bit of information. I sort-of got versioning working. I used PhotoShop CS6, Mac OS X Mavericks, CyberDuck, Alfresco, WebDAV.
Usually what I would do is go through Adobe Drive CC (which uses CMIS protocol) to log into Alfresco. This works but is at times super slow, and Alfresco no-longer sees previews when I "Check-In" an updated file because the mimetype is somehow lost.
This morning I used CyberDuck (via WebDAV protocol) and logged into Alfresco. CyberDuck has an "edit" button for a file. Clicking it downloads the file (although it didn't "check-out" the file) and opened it up in Photoshop. Every edit I made and clicked save automatically uploaded a new .version number. So if the file version was 2.0, clicking save would make it 2.1.
    Some differences I noticed:
    Adobe Drive: CMIS
    CyberDuck: WebDAV
AD = "Check-In" asks for commit message
CD = just acts as a "Save As" and asks to overwrite the file
    AD = "Allows Comments"
CD = I couldn't find any way to comment
    AD = versions to a major version number 2.0 -> 3.0
    CD = versions to a minor version number 2.0 -> 2.1
AD = will "check-out" a file, effectively locking it
CD = didn't seem to lock the file at all
    Additional:
I only tried it briefly this morning, I hadn't tried with any of the other CS6/CC apps. I don't know if Illustrator or InDesign would have issues with linked files using the CyberDuck WebDav approach. Also, I only used CyberDuck as I saw it has WebDAV support from a Google search (wasn't very thorough in my research on this - so plenty of room for improvement).
I really love the concept of Adobe Drive w/ Alfresco and version controlling. But for the love of God why is Adobe Drive so much slower than WebDAV in simple things like even navigating folders in Mac Finder or Windows Explorer?!? It hangs the entire system! This is why I'm looking into WebDAV.

  • Apache and WebDAVE

Can anyone point me to a simple tutorial on getting WebDAV working for Apache 2.2? I'm on 10.5.7 and i just want to share some iCal calendars. I've got Apache working and thought I got info for WebDAV but it doesn't seem to work. Hopefully some one has some better advice? Thanks for any help.

    yes.
try putting this in your http.conf file...see if it works.
If it doesn't, it shouldn't be too far from what you need..
    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^site1.site.com [NC]
    RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} ^80$
    RewriteRule ^/.*$ https://site1.site.com/$1 [L,R]

  • Connection Failed and WebDAV screen appear when attempting to backup iTunes

When I try to backup all of my music in iTunes, I get the following message and screen appear. Click on the link to see a picture of these:
    http://homepage.mac.com/louh/PhotoAlbum44.html
Why is this message and screen appearing and should I type in my information on the WebDAV screen or am I being hacked? To backup my iTunes, I clicked File>Backup to Disc>Backup entire iTunes Library and Playlist.
Thanks for any help or suggestions,
    Lou

In addition, if I opened iDisk and had the icon sitting on my desktop the 'Connection Failed" error message appeared but I was able to cancel it. Without iDisk open I could not get rid of the error message unless i force quit. I'm thinking that at some point I put some music into iDisk (don't remember ever doing this) and this may be causing the problems. The backup appeared to work even though I didn't test it.
Still wonder if I found an exploitable hack? I'm glad I didn't give out my user name and password!
