RSRV error - ODS objects !

Hello All,
I'm executing the RSRV test --> Foreign Key Relationship of Reporting-Relevant ODS Object and SID Table Characteristics
and I get the error -
SID values missing for 2 specifications of characteristic 0CALDAY
As i understand some values of 0CALDAY are present in the ODS, but have no corresponding SID's in the SID table.
How is this possible? That there are entries in the ODS but no corresponding SID's in SID table of 0calday.
Please advise !

Hi Abhijit,
One case can be that 'Activate even if no master data exists' option is selected and you have not selected the option for 'SID's generation upon activation'. This makes the ODS not suitable for reporting. Hope this helps.

I have loaded the data from R/3 to a ODS Object and the activation of ODS failed due to the following errors as shown below..
-Value '20060 ' of characteristic 0CALQUARTER is not plausible
-Error when assigning SID (details in long text)
-Activation of data records from ODS object ZODS_02 terminated
-Error getting SID for ODS object ZODS_02
I could see that Calendar Quarter as 20060 in PSA. How should i get rid of this error. Any idea would be appreciated.

Raj,
you are getting this calender qurter from SAP right... check in RSA3 fro the your Datasource. if you are getting same value like '20060'. you can do one thing... you can set 'No Update' in Transfer Rules. you can write a routine in Update Rules for populating the data for calender Week.
you can call some standard function modules or you can write a small routine. If you want to write a routine check this thread...Re: Date to Quarter
Possibilites:
1. updtae rules
2. if RSA3(PSA) shows the value of the Quarter as '20050', if it is custom extractor(Generic using FM) you can change this.
3. If it is Standard Extractor or Generic Extractor (using either view/table or Infoset) you can enhance this. you can do the same thing in SAP Side.

I am getting an error while activating ods object.

There are only 3 info objects which i have created it and activated, only those i am pulling in the new ods but its throwing the same error what ever i do changes.
Is this issue is related to any authorization concerned?

Error activating ODS object.

None of the ODS objects gets activated and following are the error messages that i get when i try to activate a ODS object :
Object ZRSMODS could not be activated

Transfer structure prefix for source system T90CLNT090 is not defined
Message no. RSAR325
Diagnosis
A prefix is defined for the source system for determining cross-system unique transfer structure names. This prefix is not defined between your source system T90CLNT090 and Warehouse T90CLNT090. There was probably an error when creating the source system.
Procedure
If you have not yet loaded data from this source system, delete the source system and then recreate it.
If the problem occurs again, check the SAP Support Portal. Create a new problem message, if necessary.

Have a look on the following points and see if they are satisfied in your case:
Check all characteristics involved as described below:
1. Check the Compounding and Attributes tabs in the characteristics maintenance.
2. All characteristics here must be active. This is displayed by a green icon.
If this is not the case for a characteristic involved (a gray icon is displayed on one of the two tabs), activate the characteristic involved. This also activates the inactive dependent characteristics.
3. After you have checked and repaired all the characteristics involved as described above, the loading/maintenance of master data should work again.
Because of this you may sometimes get the same error while activating the ODS object.

Error on activation of data records from ODS object

Kindly help with my BW Problem, the error occured on the
activation of ODS. The error says "Request
REQU_43MNOPW29W4F5M037J7OAFP52 in ODS ZPUR_O01 must have QM
status green before it is activated" and "Activation of data

I tried to check the data in the ODS Object by choosing
<LS>Administrator Workbench > data targets > context menu on ODS
Object ZPUR_O01 but the status are green and when i tried to

1) delete the current request
2)Reconstruct the requests above three request
3)and then Load the current reqest (REQU_43MNOPW29W4F5M037J7OAFP52)
Then only u will be able to activate the ODS....
This is an serialization issue...

I could see that Calendar Quarter as 20060 in table /BIC/AZINV_O0240. There is a calendarday mapped to quarter and year in update rules of ODS object. How the calendar quarter is populated in update table in BW. How should i get rid of this error. Any idea would be appreciated.

Error while loading data to ods object from flatfile

hello all
Iam loading data from flatfile to ods object and the processing type is PSA and then to data target(package by package),data arrived in PSA(its green) but in monitor the request is in red and in details tab of subsequent processing its showing as ODS activation?(change-log):not yet activated and overall the error is Missing Messages.
and its also saying like "Activation of data records from ODS object ODS_SALES terminated.
and in help node its saying like data arrived in BW and try to change the request from red to green?
can anyone tell me what will be the problem?
In settings of ODS object everthing is set to automatically.

problem is generic here.
In monitor tab the request and overall the statuts is "RED",but when I went into the mange tab of ODS object here the request is "GREEN",but the data is not available here.but data is still available in "New data",how come data is not yet activated.
bcoz in settings all are set to "automatically",so there is no question of manual activation?
One more question is in Settings Iam finding one column like "Unique Data Records",whats's this,if v check this what happens ifnot what happens?

Error when transporting ODS Object

I got the following error when transporting ODS object.
"The creation of the export DataSource failed"
"RFC connection to source system QB1CLNT100 is damaged ==> no Metadata upload"
"Error when creating the export DataSource and dependent Objects. Error when activating ODS Object 0FIGL_O10"

Symptom
When you activate or transport ODS objects, the following errors appear in the log:
"The creation of the export DataSource failed". Message number RSBM 035
"Error &1 in function module &2". Message number RSBM 006
"Error when creating the export DataSource and dependent Objects". Message number RSDODSO 169
"Error when activating the ODS object &1". Message number RSDODSO 168
Other terms
RSBM 035, RSBM 006, RSDODSO 169, RSDODSO 168
Reason and Prerequisites
A characteristic involved is active but it is using new or inactive attributes.
Characteristics involved are all characteristics used in the ODS object.
Solution
Check all characteristics involved as described in the following:
Check the Compounding and Attributes tabs in the characteristics maintenance.
All characteristics here must be active. This is displayed by a green icon.
If this is not the case for a characteristic involved (a gray icon is displayed on one of the two tabs), activate the characteristic involved. This also activates the inactive dependent characteristics.
After you have checked and repaired all the characteristics involved as described above, the loading/maintenance of master data should work again.

- First check the Error Messages from the context menu of the activation step. Also check ST22 & SM21. This will tell you where the error is. Sometimes you might get duplicate records.
- Next use the "Manage" context menu for the ODS in RSA1. Check if any of the previous records are red. If its red, it would mean that either load/activation has failed for previous request which needs to be corrected first b4 you correct the current one.
- If al the above are OK, simply repeat the Activation step.

Hi All,
While activating ODS request I am getting following error
"Activation of data records from ODS object KFI02O50 terminated ".
data load is suceesful for ODS but during activation of the request it is giving error.
I tried to change the status to green manually & then activated the request but still same problem.
Also I tried to delete request & loaded again from PSA & then activated the request but still same problem
If anybody has some solution please let me know.

Hi Sonal,
Sometimes when there is erroeneous records that time while activating the Request request get fails.To check this go to manage tab of the ODS there under log u can see the log icon click on that and check y activation got failed..

Error loading data into ODS object

Hi,
I am trying to load some data into an ODS object, which actually does not seem very difficult. I got the InfoObjects and structure of the ODS object all set up. Transfer rules are defined and I succeed in loading the data into PSA.
From there i trigger the forwarding into the ODS object. And this is what i get (I use the BI in German, so maybe the translations are not 100% correct):
message missing: tranfer rules finished.
seems like the system does not get a esponse as to whether the transfer rules are worked through yet. this results in a timeout because nothing happens.
i'm sorry i cant give any more detailed information. maybe someone can give me a direcion in which to search for mistakes. irebuilt the transfer rules and compared with others, and found nothing. still the same problem...

Oh yeah, that error message i've been talking about was actually a note in the details of the monitor.

i hope this gives an idea.
i couldn't come up with any solution so far. don't know why this response is missing after the processing of the data started.

Read the information message carefully. Then proceed, if you intend to have custom "standard" texts (sort of an oxymoron, but everyplace I've been does this)...
If you are working in a customer system, only create standard texts using the following naming convention:
Initial letter Y or Z in the text name with any text ID
or
Initial letter Y or Z in the text ID with any text name

ODS object failing to activate

Hello All,
I will greatly appreciate your help with the following issue:
I have an ODS object that is failing to activate complaining that "Value 'HAGas Cartridge Actu.in safety enclosure ' (hex. '00480041004700610073002000430061007200740072006900') of characteristic 0PROD_DESCR contains invalid characters"
If I am correct - invalid characters were uploaded to an InfoObject (0PROD_DESCR) and now the ODS object does not want to activate (0PROD_DESCR is an InfoObject inside the ODS object). To fix this - does a reload of this characterstic 0PROD_DESCR need to be done without the invalid characters?

Hi Keith,
If you notice the data that is coming for the field 0PROD_DESCR.
One thing is it has data with lower case letters,
secondly from the error message you can notice that '." is also present.
If you analyse all the data in the request either in the PSA or in the active data table of the ODS you will find out what other special characters are used.
If you want to load the data as it is you can add the special chars in RSKC, the text ALL_CAPITAL is not sufficient.
If you do not want to add the special chars then you should edit the data in the PSA and reload the data in to the ODS and then activate the same
