RSRV for InfoCube
Hi all,
I have one Multicube query which brings the data from 5 infoprovider. When i run the query it takes lot of time to bring the result. So i run RSRV for the 2 cubes which are giving some error like
"The indices of the infocube are incorrectly set".
I just want know how can i resolve this issue. Also I need to optimize the query run time.

Hi,
May be you can try to repair the index for those cube.
Go to Cube-> manage -> performance tab- repair index .

Error when running report: "Error in aggregate table for InfoCube"
Hi Experts
We had a temporary error, which I would like to find the root cause for.
We where running a Workbook which is based on a multiprovider. For a short period of time (around 10 minuts) we got the following error when we executed the workbook based on this multiprovider:
"Error in aggregate table for InfoCube"
There where no loads or aggregates rolling up on the cubes in the multiprovider.
I see no short dumps as well in ST22.
Have anybody seen this error before, and how can I trace how this error occured?
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
TorbenHi Sneha,
I will Suggest u to do some RSRV tests.
Go to transaction RSRV. There you will find test for aggregates. Just Perform them and see whether you get any discrepencies.

Index construction for InfoCube went wrong due to SQL Error
Hello,
I searched the topic before posting most of them suggested to delete index manually and create it and check in RSRV and SE38 prg to SAP_INFOCUBE_INDEXES_REPAIR. this steps and all i followed but its not working fine.
The problem is Index construction for InfoCube went wrong due to SQL Error.

The table for storing data for infocube and ODS
Hi all:
could you please tell me how to find the table for storing data for infocube and ODS?
thank you very much!Hi Jingying Sony,
To find tables for any infoprvider go to SE11.
In database table field enter the following
Cube -
Has fact table and dimension table
For customized cube - ie cube names not starting with ' 0 '
Uncompressed Fact table - /BIC/F<infocubename>
Compressed fact table - /BIC/E<infocubename>
Dimension table - /BIC/D<infocubename>
For standard cube - ie cube names starting with ' 0 '
Uncompressed Fact table - /BI0/F<infocubename>
Compressed fact table - /BI0/E<infocubename>
Dimension table - /BI0/D<infocubename>
Click on display.
For DSO,
For standard DSO active table- /BI0/A<DSO name>00.
You use 40 for new table.
Click on display.
For customized DSO use- /BIC/A<DSO name>00.
An easier way is in the database table field, write the name of the cube/DSO preceeded and followed by ' * ' sign. Then press F4 . It shall give you the names of the available table for that info provider.
Double click on the name and choose display.
Hope this helps,
Best regards,

Last week also i've faced the same problem and i've gone for manual creation and even that too did'nt work, and i m facing same problem this week as these r weekely loads
Could any one tell me what the problem is..? as i have told u last week i have checked the create index and still it is in checked mode..Is this the problem?
pls reply..

SuriHi Bhargava,
Yes i have checked create index (batch) in performance tab last week, bcos i've faced same problem last week ,so i thought of creating the index again and that did'nt work. And i went for repair indexes(immediately) and that too did'nt work ,the job got cancelled in SM 37
And even this week(7/8/2007) also i have faced the same problem and the check button is still there for create index(batch), i have'nt checked any thing apart from this. Even i've checked in SM12 for lock entries but there r no any.
As i have mentioned chain is scheduled weekely.
how do i proceed? Step by step would be appreciated

What is the difference in createdelete indexes for infocube and DTP ?
Hi experts,
Can anyone tell me what is the difference in create\delete index process for infocube and create\delete index for DTP or Infopackage? If i add into a chain an Infopackage then DTP then Delete request processes, system generates for all of them delete\create index processes by default. Is that nesesary leave them all or is that enough to leave only the ones for infocube?
Thank you,
Tigr_ZHi Tigr,
This delete/create index step is to make the load faster. This can be done on a infocube. Before loading data to infocube it is suggested by SAP to delete index and after loading again create the index.
If you want to execute these steps through process chain, there are process types for delete/create index. It is related to infocube not to any DTP/Infopackage. Before loading to the cube add one DROPINDEX step (deleting) in the chain. After completion of loading add one INDEXING step (creating) in the chain.
Thanks,

BIA Test: Suggestion for creating enormousTest Data for Infocubes
Hi,
I need to create some enormous amount of data for infocube in order to test BIA.
I don't think my basis team will allow me to load data from Production to Sandbox and moreover production has less than 250 millions records.
Any suggestion for 250 million records?Hello,
Just an idea. If you can load a minimum of data for your cube then it is easy.
You just have to generate for your cube for instance a datasource and then create some update rules to loop on your data.
a. generate export datasource
b. map it to your infosource
c. define some update rules to ensuere your data will be different. For example in the start routine.
Hope it helps.

Error when structuring the index of aggregate 100165 for InfoCube 0TCT_C01
Hi,
I was getting following error:
**Error when structuring the index of aggregate 100165 for InfoCube 0TCT_C01
I used this link Please Help me...
I followed all the steps:
1.Delete indexes.
2.Load the InfoCube.
3.Create Indexes.
4.Roll-up of aggregates
but still getting the same error(Roll-up of aggregate is failing).
After the failure if i repeat the step then it gets executed successfully.
I need to monitor the PC ...and at the end of the complition it fails(daily)...
Please can anyone help me on this issue(that why the chain is failing at the roll-up)?Go to TX RSDDV with your cube an identify the technical ID of ur aggregate (a number 100045 for instance).
TX SE11 goto table RSDDAGGRDIR filter the selection with AGGRCUBE = 100045.
Copy the AGGRUID (something like 3QL29Z7ZLO3BQZDSSLRU0MGOI)
Then come to TX SE37; RSDDK_AGGREGATES_FILL; hit the single test button
I_T_Aggregate enter your AGGRUID
I_T_INFOCUBE enter the techid of your cube
Execute.
This will fill your aggregate.
Hope this will help......

Deselect auth. check for infocubes (Checks for infocubes) in RSSM
Hi,
An infocube I installed contains an authorisation relavant object (already exists) in BW3.5 system. By default the infocube is selected for auth. check in RSSM.
After I transported the cube to target system I realised the auth check in RSSM has also been transported with the cube.
Hence, I have deselected the auth. check for the infocube "Checks for infocubes" in RSSM and saved it. Then, I created a second transport and only transported the cube. But the changes I made in RSSM hasn't been transported.
Please can you advise me how to transport the changes I made in "Checks for infocubes" in RSSM?
Thanks a lot
MuraliHi,
check this threads:
Re: RSSM: Checks Authorization Objects for Infoprovider are not activ
Re: RSSM Transports
Normally system would check all the authorization relevant objects whenever a new Info cube is imported and in case if you want to transport these changes to Production system manually then follow the below listed steps:
1) In Development system, check or un-check the authorization relevancy using the transaction RSSM on a given Info provider
2) These changes are stored in table RSSTOBJDIR
3) Create a manuall transport request and include these entries covering the required Authorization objects manually.
R3TR TABU RSSTOBJDIR
Ex: If Info object 'A' is authorization relevant in Development system but not in Production system and you want to transport this change to Production system then include object 'A' table entries manually.

RSPLAN - You do not have authorization for InfoCube
Hi Friends,
I have SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW access .
I can access RSPLAN and can Start Modeler.
I could see the Info Provider Selection(webpage).
When I click START I get list of INFOPROVIDERS List.
But When I select any of them.....
I get a message on the top like "You do not have authorization for InfoCube 0RSTT_C02".
Every time I select different object respectively it is looking for different authorization.
Any help is appreciated....
Thx
JamesHi Lucimar and Bindu,
We are on BI 7 System.
There are no missing authorizations from SU53.
We have also traced using ST01 Authorization Check. It doesn't really point show any missing authorizations.
On using the new authorization concept(RSECADMIN), Im not familier with it.
Also we have found a useful note 913852, But this code correction is already existing in the system. And I can't find this support pack(SAP_BW_VIRTUAL_COMP) on the Marketplace.
At the end the bug is still out there....we have to kill it....
Come on folks post your thoughts.... -
Please let me know if I understand these correctly:
1)If we delete indices before loading to infocubes, data loading time will be enhanced because SAP does not need to check/write indices while loading.
2)If we did not delete indices before loading, SAP will update the indices during data loading and new data will be immediately accessible by BEx reporting.
3)If we have aggregates, new data have to be rolled up to aggregates before they are visible by BEx, nomatter we have indices or not.
4)Indices for infocubes are used both by data loads and reporting.
Thank you.
PhyllisHello Phyllis
> 1)If we delete indices before loading to infocubes,

> not need to check/write indices while loading.
If you update an infocube the data base management system (say Oracle or DB2) has to adjust the indices of this cube with each new and changed sentence. So the data loading will be quicker if you delete and rebuild the indices of the cube before loading.
> 2)If we did not delete indices before loading, SAP
> will update the indices during data loading and new
> data will be immediately accessible by BEx
> reporting.
After deleting indices for loading purposes the old data in the cube remain visible for reporting, the new data will be visible in reporting only after the loading run has finished (green status in the monitor).
> 3)If we have aggregates, new data have to be rolled
> up to aggregates before they are visible by BEx,
> nomatter we have indices or not.
Yes.
> 4)Indices for infocubes are used both by data loads
> and reporting.
No, indices improve the reporting performance and worsen the loading performance. While loading you have two possibilities in handling indices: deleting before and rebuilding after loading (only advisible at full upload or delta load with 10 to 20 % of new data) or loading without deleting the indices. Both alternitives will cost performance.
Hope this helps,
regards
Martin Lehmann
