RSS add-on for outlook 2003

Can someone recomend an add-on to outlook 2003 for RSS feeds. My Aunt has 2003 and her son is using iphone to send rss photo updates. She does not need to go any higer in the office food chain at this time. Since I support her, a stable and easy to use RSS
add-on is appreciated

Hi John,
If you’re looking for a free utility that can help you access RSS feeds from within Outlook, check out the RSS Popper (http://rsspopper.blogspot.com/2004/10/home.html)
Once you have the plugin installed, you’ll see a new folder called
RSS in the All Mail Folder. You can access the folder quickly by pressing
CTRL + Y and then hitting R followed by
Enter.
Hope that helps.

  • Set the properties Editor of Add-in for Outlook 2007

    Hi All,
I've developed an add-in for outlook 2007, the setup doesn't give any errors but when I open the Outlook the add-in is disabled.
May be because is the only add-in with <any Author>.
How can I set this properties in visual studio 2010?
    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Hello Thomas,
First of all, check out the Trust center settings in Outlook. Are macro security settings applied to add-ins as well? Are only signed add-in allowed to run?
Microsoft Office applications can disable add-ins that behave unexpectedly. If an application does not load your add-in, the application
might have hard disabled or soft disabled your add-in.
Hard disabling can occur when an add-in causes the application to close unexpectedly. It might also occur on your development computer
if you stop the debugger while the Startup event
handler in your add-in is executing.
Soft disabling can occur when an add-in produces an error that does not cause the application to unexpectedly close. For example, an application
might soft disable an add-in if it throws an unhandled exception while the Startup event
    handler is executing.
When you re-enable a soft-disabled add-in, the application immediately attempts to load the add-in. If the problem that initially caused
the application to soft disable the add-in has not been fixed, the application will soft disable the add-in again.
Read more about that in the How to: Re-enable an Add-in That
    Has Been Disabled article.
P.S. You need to sing the add-in files with a digital signature to see the author name in Outlook.

  • Where can I download the icloud add in for Outlook 2010 for PC?

I recently purchased Outlook 2010 and I don't seem to have the iCloud add in and I can't figure out where to download it. I'm using Windows 7.

I have done that. When I try to synch my contacts and calendar I get the message: "Setup can't continue because Outlook isn't configured to have a default profile. Check your Outlook settings and try again."
But I do have Outlook configured with a default profile. When I follow the rabbit trail of troubleshooting it comes down to checking to make sure the iCloud add in is active. When I check that, not only is it not active - it's not there. Thus my original question: Where can I get the iCloud add in for Outlook?

  • How do i get the icloud add in for outlook 2010 64 bit

I am running windows 7 64 bit and outlook 2010 64 bit. I had the icloud add in installed but it became corrupted, so i removed it, but now my iphone calendar does not sync with outlook and i need to find a way to download and reinstall a functioning add in.

I have done that. When I try to synch my contacts and calendar I get the message: "Setup can't continue because Outlook isn't configured to have a default profile. Check your Outlook settings and try again."

  • Icloud add-in for outlook does not load

I have the sync working for calendar and contacts between icloud and Outlook--  but when I close Outlook, the icloud Add-in for Outlook does not load--  the icloud label does not appear on the ribbon at top of Outlook.  I must go to File> Options> Add-ins> Manage Com Add-ins---  and manually check iCloud Addin to get it loaded.  It will not load at start-up automatically as it should.

I struggled with this but found the answer.  You need to set the LoadBehaviour property in the Registry to 2 (Load at Start Up).
    Run RegEdit
    Navigate to here [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\Apple.DAV.addin]
LoadBehaviour will probably be sitting at 0.  Double click that to open, change it to 2 and you're done.
Open Outlook, the Add-in will probably still be inactive.  MAke it active, close Outlook, open it again and it should work...

  • Sync Issue for Outlook 2003 Resolved

First let me say that this has been a bit of a laborious project. I was able to successfully resolve the sync issue on my connection and was replicated on a second machine and second iPhone using the same process.
NOTE: This worked with the following: Windows XP Pro, (Version 2002 SP2) and Outlook 2003. Your results may vary!
With your iPhone NOT connected, do the following:
Go to the Microsoft Website under Downloads and be certain you have the latest Service Pack 2 for Outlook and all other Windows security updates downloaded installed on your machine, then (IMPORTANT!) RE-START your machine!
    In Outlook:
    1. Go to Tools/Options/Other/Advanced Options/COM Add-Ins
    2. There should be two add-ins listed:
    - iTunes Outlook Addin
    - Outlook iTunes Sync Addin
    3. Be sure the boxes are checked for both items.
    4. Then under Help/About/Disabled Items, highlight and enable the iTunes add-in, if it is still disabled.
    5. Close Outlook, and RE-START your computer.
(Seems these add-in gets written into the Windows registry as well as the Outlook add-in manager.)
    6. Open Outlook and check Help/About/Disabled Items and the COM Add-ins to be sure the add-ins are recognized.
Connect your iPhone and sync. Once the sync process is complete, check your phone for any/all synced items...
Again, once this process worked on my machine, and was replicated on a second machine (Same OS, and Outlook version) so I know it can be done successfully without help from Apple tech support.
I'd be curious to hear from anyone trying this process to see if this works in a different setting, (i.e. OS version, etc.)
    Good luck!

I tried this, including rebooting my iPhone prior to resyncing it with Outlook, and there was no joy.
My symptom is that I can enter calendar items on the iPhone, and they appear on Outlook, but I can't enter calendar items on Outlook and have them appear on the iPhone.
My suspicion is this: I have multiple email accounts feeding into my Outlook account. I think that may have something to do with it. I've been waiting and reading the forums here, because I've been concerned that the iPhone support calls would be flooding in. But this is starting to be pretty annoying, so I'm going to try to call Apple and see if they can help. (And also with the "no additional mailbox" problem, which is also pretty durn annoying.)
If I find an answer, I'll post.

  • AVG add-in for Outlook 2013

I'm running Outlook 2013 under Windows 8.1. I am also running AVG Internet Security 2015 (purchased version, not the free anti-virus one). I have enabled the AVG add-in. The first time I started Outlook after installing AVG, I noticed that the AVG group
did not appear in the ribbon. So, I clicked on "File" in Outlook and then on "Manage Add-ins". It listed the AVG add-in as being disabled because it caused Outlook to start slowly. So I clicked on the "Always enable this add-in".
That brought back the AVG group in the ribbon. Until the next time I started Outlook. Once again, the AVG group was gone. So, I went back to "Manage Add-ins". It still shows up in the "Disabled Add-ins" list, but it's different than the
other disabled add-ins. It says "This add-in caused Outlook to start slowly. It wasn't disabled because it's in the always enabled list." All the other disabled add-ins have a button for "Always enable this add-in", but the one for AVG
has a button that says "Disable this add-in". Which implies that it is currently enabled. The interesting thing is that if I click on "Disable this add-in", close the dialog, then bring it up again, and click on "always enable",
then the AVG group re-appears. Until I restart Outlook. So, although Outlook claims that this add-in is in the "always enable" list, it's not honoring it. It's disabling it anyway.
Yes, I've already contacted AVG. After a mindless chat with lots of canned answers, I finally ended up where I knew I was headed: "Uninstall AVG and re-install it." Of course, I had already done that, to no avail. But it doesn't seem like an AVG problem
anyway, it seems like an Outlook problem. And, yes, I have done a Repair operation on Office 2013.

I have other add-ins, but nine of them are disabled and four others are marked as "inactive". The AVG add-in is the only one that is currently active, but only because I forced it to be. But it doesn't stay that way; if I try again in a little
while it will be gone. Outlook claims that the plug-in was causing Outlook to start slowly, but it then says that the plug-in took 0.156 seconds to load. I can wait for 0.156 seconds. I like the plug-in because it gives me the chance to mark a message a spam
that got by the anti-spam filter, plus other options for dealing with spam.
I can't believe that Microsoft recommends using anti-virus addins. Does Outlook do any virus scanning of incoming messages? I doubt it. "Very little benefit"? Are you kidding me?
And you say that after three times of slow loading Outlook wiill disable and add-in? Even I've told it "Always enable this add-in"? Outlook just ignores my request?
This is either lousy logic or a bug.

  • Installing an add-in for Outlook 2010

We are attempting to install an add-in to Outlook 2010 32-bit on a 64-bit platform.
The installation has been built in Installshield 2012 and on my own profile correctly installs the registry entries (into HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins) and the add-in.
When I log in to the same computer as a user and open Outlook, the add-in does not appear and the registry entry appears in HKCU.
I've followed the instructions in this article (http://blogs.msdn.com/b/vsto/archive/2010/03/08/deploying-your-vsto-add-ins-to-all-users-saurabh-bhatia.aspx) and am a little stuck now.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Kind Regards, Sumone

    Hello Sumone,
Make sure that you did all the steps described in the
Deploying an Office Solution by Using Windows Installer article in MSDN. Be aware, you need to have admin privileges for installing add-ins for all users.

  • How to customize iCloud add-in for Outlook?

I am using the iCloud plug-in for Outlook 2010 under Windows 7.  Everything works great.  New appointment default to the iCloud Calendar, and I can see them on my iOS devices.
The problem is that I am visually impaired, and want to change the default appointment settings.  I want to specify the "Blue Category" by default, as this is easier for me to see.  If I didn't have the iCloud add-in, then I would create a custom Form in Outlook, and set the default.  The problem is that Form editor doesn't allow me to specify iCloud as the default calendar.
So how do I modify the default iCloud appointment form used in Outlook??
    Thanks!

  • How to make iTunes to be a trusted indentified program for Outlook 2003

Hi, I am an user of the synchronising utilities of my iPod and my Mobile phone. When I connect them they both synchronise the contacts and agenda from Outlook 2003. Now, my Nokia utility does the job without any user input. iTunes however does popup the question if I want to allow this.
My question is, is there any way that I can ask Apple to become a trusted application, so this pop-up will not be presented?

I am tryng to sync Outlook 2013 (WIndows 7 Ultimate 64 bit)  with iCloud. It will just not load the Add-in!
I cna see the Add-in reference in the Registry. Apple.DAV.Addin is in  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins. Load behaviour is set to 3 as recommended. (I've tried it on 2 as well)
How is it that it the iCloud Add-in does NOT appear when I go into "View and Manage Log-ins" in Outlook? It appears under NEITHER 'Enabled' NOR 'Disabled' categories.
I am desperate to get this resolved... Can anyone throw any light on it ? Please?
Not sure what is rubbish.... iCloud or Outlook!

Click here and order replacements. Alternatively, if the machine shipped with 10.6.2 or earlier, you can buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD from the online Apple Store, but it won't contain iLife or the Apple Hardware Test.
