RSS Feed Of New Movie Rentals (UK)?

Hi,
Does anyone know of an RSS feed that tracks new Movie Rentals added to the UK iTunes Store? It would be really to automatically be notified when any movies are added, instead of having to manually browse the store, looking out for changes.

That would be a great idea. I do wish apple would sort out there listings Apple TV wise though. There aren't many movies listed incorrectly but I was just browsing my Apple TV now and found 'Jumper' which was released on DVD today in the HD rental section. It also lists 'Juno' and other movies released last week as HD rentals which they're not.
While I love my Apple TV it's becoming annoying to see movies I'd love to rent - only to click on them and find they've been incorrectly listed

It won't show up on your Apple TV until it is fully downloaded into iTunes on your computer, have you done this.

RSS feed of new Publisher Content

A client has requested we create an RSS feed of new portlet content. They want to be able to view all new content via an RSS feed on IE7.
Has anyone made something like this?

RSS feed on new software

Hi,
My customer indicates that he is subscribed to an XML RSS feed regarding software downloadable from OTN.
One of my customers wants to have the following enhancement added to the OTN website:
When new software is available, he wants to receive an update that new software has been posted on OTN, instead of him manually checking OTN over and over again to see whether new software has been published.

Rss feed in my movie

hey guy's i am using 2 component's from flashloaded...
flashticker and rss feed... i am presently on a linux server at
godaddy... for some reason it is not working... on a hunch i just
put the url of my website with the php file and this is the error i
am getting....this is a valid xml fee....i tried 2 ( one being on a

This points out the need for a robust XSLT library or
component. Does anyone know of such an animal? Having to write code
to parse XML nodes and wrap formatting tags around the returned
data seems fairly ... hmmm ... archaic. And sorting and filtering
that data ... again, just more manual coding for what should be
routine functionality. Sometimes it just isn't possible or
appropriate to flip the data back for a serverside transformation
(particularly desktop AIR apps running offline). Having at least
some minimal set of XSLT functionality would make Flash a much more
appealing medium for me. Anyone have recommendations beyond "code
it yourself"?

Apple TV Movie rentals

Previously when renting a movie I have been able to view it multiple times within the 48 hours, now it seems to disappear after the first viewing, does anyone know why?

The rental library is growing very slowly. But at least it's growing. Interesting, there are quite a number of classics and oldies popping up. Great for catching up on some on them.
One thing I noticed. The iTunes Store desktop and TV catalogues do not tally at all. What's available on TV is not available on iTunes Store. Not talking about HD stuff. Checked on the All Rentals and it's stuck at 19 pages for a very long time. Same goes for the All Movies at 38 pages. Basically what I'm saying is, the database is kinda screwy. Hope they fix it soon.
Hope you guys feedback to iTunes on putting up a website on all its movies, both purchases and rentals. Put up a RSS feed on new additions. iTunes app doesn't do RSS. Hope a website can do all this. For me, I rather download from iTunes Store than TV because I can move the movie around my devices. Hardly download HD movies - not worth spending the extra buck if the movie *****.

How to get rss feeds onto the Journe Air 801 via the external memory card?

I've bought the Journe Air 801 digital photo frame and the manual says "save the rss feed of the album you wish to display in the .rss format and add to the external memory card" but it doesn't say how you create this .rss file or copy it onto your memory card. does anyone know how i can get a picasa rss feed into this format?
I've successfully added a picasa feed manually in the frame but as picasa only updates the rss feed if new galleries are added, not new photos, the photo feed is not updating on the frame so I'd like to alter the rss address.

i will use this thread now also to document my contacts with the toshiba support hotline:
Early December
I called the hotline the first time and told the support guy (#1) the problem.
He promised to look into this and that he would call me back.
I did not get an incident number.
He called me back the same day and told me, they don't have an air 801 to test, just an air 1000.
The air 1000 has a different menu and does support rss without any problems.
He said, he will try to to find an air 801 and get back at me.
A week later
Since there was no response I called again and got a different guy.
I told my story again and the support guy #2 promised to ask support guy #1 when #1 is back in office.
He promised to send me an email and include the incident number.
December 11th
I got an email from #2 saying that he could not find my original request. He did not include the incidient number, although that was promised.
He promised me again that he will get in touch with #1 and ask him for information.
December 18th
I sent #2 a mail asking for current status.
December 28th
I called hotline again and had to wait really long (the prerecorded message at the beginning informed me that support staff was hit by a flu).
So I told support guy #3 my story and this time insisted on a incident number and got one. Unsurprisingly #3 could not find my first two requests.
He promised me to hand this to level 3 support and somebody will get back to me, but probably not within this week. I told him I hope for a response within the next four weeks...
So let's see what will happen next.
Maybe you guys could get in touch with toshiba support in your countries, I have the feeling that this increases the chance of getting a "correct" answer.

RSS feed unsorted

Hi,
on accounts we have a web applet which embeds google business news for this account (via http://news.google.com/news?q=%%%Name%%%&output=rss). I do not know why, but the entries are completely out of order (should be chronologic). If I use this url in my browser it is ordered correctly. Using the unfiltered rss feed (http://news.google.com/news?output=rss) produces the same strange behaviour.
Any hints are welcome!

RSS Feeds in Mail 3.0 Keep Appearing as Unread even When Read and Deleted

Hi there,
I've just upgraded to Leopard (10.5, 9A581) and was pleased to find that Mail 3.0 (912.1/912) now has RSS feed capability.
However, I've noticed a problem and it's very annoying. Every time I quit Mail and re-open it, it displays ALL my RSS feeds as new as unread, even though I had previously read them and actually deleted them.
I assume this is a bug but hope it can be fixed soon as it's making RSS reading in Mail unusable. I have 198 RSS feeds and my Mail icon is currently showing 651 unread messages as there are 651 RSS items that I have previously read and deleted within Mail 3.0. In fact, I've deleted them all three times today alone but I'm not doing it again as I'm wasting my time, as every time I quit Mail and open it again, they all re-appear.

Moving Podcast New RSS Feed

I am having to move my podcast from self-hosted to Podbean.
(1)
TO set up the new podcast, Podbean asks for my iTunes Feed ID.
Is this the numerical string after the id below (current link at iTunes store - behind album art):

or is it something different (does it include the letters id)

How do I change the RSS feed on iTunes?
Do I let Podbean submit the new feed to my existing iTunes Feed ID?
Or do I have to change the RSS feed in iTunes? How?

Because the new feed carries the same podcast title as the old one iTunes thinks it is the same podcast and gives you the 'already submitted' message. Searching on 'Pink Soup' throws up two podcasts in iTunes: one of them carries the same episodes as the Feedburner page minus the latest item.
You would do better to submit an XML file directly to iTunes rather than letting Feedburner do it: there have been complaints of problems with Feedburner and iTunes.
If you felt up to re-titling your podcast you could submit it as a new one. If you are able to get at the XML file now being used by iTunes you could post a new XML file and redirect iTunes to it from the old one:

Removing RSS feeds from mail in new Safari???

While I haven't yet uploaded Mountain Lion as I was waiting to observe all the little bugs that were sure to pop up, I did have a software update in which Safari was updated on my current Lion OS, which effectively made it the same version as Mountain Lion.
I also am disappointed regarding the removal of many RSS feeds that I had, I was also so stupid as to attempt to move forward on my own without further research. As a result, I now am getting a feed from a particular source into my email, which is driving me nuts since it uploads news feeds VERY frequently. And, frnakly, I don't want them in my email anyway.
So can someone outline a "For Dummies" version of how to remove the RSS news feeds from my email in the new Safari?

Found the Answer!!!! Click on the RSS feed logo in Mailboxes then go to 'Mailbox' in Mail menu, and select 'Delete Feed' And hey presto - IT'S GONE! YES!!!

Feed for new rentals?

Does anyone know if there is a feed for when new movies become available for rent on the itunes store? I've looked through the current selection and I've seen all the movies I like from the catalog. Now when I feel like seeing a movie I go to itunes store to see if there's something new, but it's not very efficient. I'd much rather have an RSS or something to alert me of new titles as they arrive.

We have a new Wordpress site, how do I add a description and artwork to the RSS feed of the podcast?

I am surprised I could not find this on a search of Google or Apple Support.
Our church has a new website created with Wordpress. We have all of the functionality ready to go in order to have the RSS feed work with the itunes store.
However, when we submit the feed to iTunes, it says that we need to add a graphic, as well as a short and a long description. I believe this used to be a part of the iTunes website submission process, however it apparently now needs to be a part of the feed itself, if I am understanding correctly.
So my question is where can I find instructions on how to add this in Wordpress?
Just so you understand, I am not in charge of the site itself... I am basically doing some research on my own to help out our programmer. I am just in charge of uploading the weekly audio.
If anyone could guide me in the right direction, it would be very much appreciated.

Wordpress can construct a proper podcast feed, including the 'itunes:image, 'itunes:summary' and 'itunes:subtitle' tags; there will be places to enter this data but I'm afraid I can'd advise on WordPress. It does seem to have a steep learning curve as we see more problems with Wordpress podcasts than any other creation method.
Unless someone who happens to have got a WordPress podcast working happens to see your question and offer information I can only suggest that you look for a Wordpress forum or some Help on it.

How do I make sure that google reader launches whenever I click on an RSS feed icon (to add a new feed)?
