RSS FEEDS on your website

A client asked if I could put RSS Feeds on his travel
website. I did not know how - until I discovered a really cool FREE
program that enables you to fully custom the look and feel of your
feeds - and it only took me one afternoon to crack it. It really is
amazing. Check it out working here...

I've put a link on the above site next to the abc.com
headline so if you like the look you can go directly to their
homepage.
I changed the colours on a template file to match the orange
and light blue color scheme and I think it does a grand job.
It works in server-side and HTML mode.
It's not my script but it is such a great product I thought
I'd let you know.
Thanks

How is this free exactly? Looks like minimum cost is $39.95

  • How do I add RSS feeds into my website (created in Muse)?

Hi i am redoing a website for a client and previously the website was created in Wordpress (I pressume) and I am now working in Adobe Muse. Previsouly they had a simple text based RSS feed from various websites displayed in columns on their site. Now they want that again, but I am new to muse and website designing and need some help, I do not even know if my terminology is correct.
Maybe I should describe what I want: I want the headlines of posts from other independant sites to appear as a clickable link on my site with the date under it. and as new articles is posted on these outside websites, my "Interesting links" coloumn on my website must also update....
I hope I am making myself clear...
    thanks a mil

  • RSS feed headlines on website using Java

    Good evening,
I am interested in showing the titles of blog posts as
headlines on our website. (The RSS feed would be converted, etc.) I
found free plug-and-play javascript generators that will do this,
but they are giving me validation errors and have not been ideal.
    I
found a .jsp file that says it will do the job but it hasn't.
Anybody have experience with this or know something that
works? I'd like to host the script myself if possible. PHP is not
    an option for me.
    Thank you,
    Nick

FYI: Java is not shorthand for JavaScript. These are two
    entirely different programming languages.
To answer your question about fetching feeds with
    JavaScripts,
I use this one on my website. It works great.

Not sure what you mean exactly.

    people can

    to? or
    2) do you want to display other people's RSS news feeds on

  • Easily Add Wordpress RSS Feed into Personal Website?

I browsed the answered forums questions here at Adobe for about an hour and all seemed to be very confusing.  Especially since there is no simple solution (as far as I have read).  Looks like depending on your RSS'd website will determine how to implement the feed into your own website.  Is there an easy way for Wordpress?  I also of course Google'd & found Dreamweaver RSS Extensions but they are not installing because they are so out of date.  The RSS is already made by the blog, I just need to pop it into my super basic HTML site.

    Hi,
So you want to display the RSS content from the blog into the HTML site? That is very easy if you install in Wordpress the feedburner.com plugin, then by adding your feed to feedburner, they have BuzzBoost (republishes your burned feed's content as go-anywhere HTML.  BuzzBoost gives you a snippet of JavaScript you can paste into your page templates.
Feedburner is anyway a good idea for the blog.

  • RSS Feed for "Your Questions"

Hi, It would be nice for the "Your Questions" section to have an RSS Feed.  This way I don't have to monitor my personal email for responses and can monitor the RSS Fee in Outlook.  It should be easy to get this RSS Feed?  Right?
    Thanks,

How did you get my message to appear in google reader?  RSS feed for this particular forum?
    Thanks!

  • IWeb 08 and RSS feeds on godaddy

Hello friends - I am setting up a website to be hosted on godaddy. I had no problems uploading the site using easyiwebpublisher. However, I want to use the blog function. I set up the blob on iweb and I can read them on the site, but when I click the "subscribe to RSS" link on my page it says:
"The page you tried to access does not exist on this server. This page may not exist due to the following reasons:
You are the owner of this web site and you have not uploaded (or incorrectly uploaded) your web site. For information on uploading your web site using FTP client software or web design software, click here for FTP Upload Information.
The URL that you have entered in your browser is incorrect. Please re-enter the URL and try again.
The Link that you clicked on incorrectly points to this page. Please contact the owner of this web site to inform them of this situation."
Any help on how to get the RSS feed to work w/o mobileme?
I understand it may not work without MobileME but I wanted to know if anyone has a workaround.
    One more bit of data:
When I publish to folder the pop-up has me enter the URL for my site because "iWeb uses the URL to provide an RSS feed for your blog."
Does that mean I put http://www.weirdfantasy.com/ or should I put the URL for my RSS feed page? http://www.weirdfantasy.com/WeirdFantasy/News/rss.xml
I put http://www.weirdfantasy.com/ and I get the error message.
    Jawko -out...

If I upload the index.html that isn't in the sitefolder, won't it just overwrite the one in the sitefolder?
No. You can't overwrite something inside a folder with something you put outside the folder. It is normal for there to be an index.html in both places in an iWeb site.
I just did that using the godaddy FTP uploader and now I can't get to my homepage. Says it can't be found.
I recommend that you never use the uploader provided by a host, as they often result in things not being uploaded correctly. Instead use a real ftp app.

  • IWeb, RSS Feed, iStore

Hi All, I am starting a series of educational videocasts. If I join .mac and post the videos on a website using iWeb, will i be able to generate an RSS link to then post then on the iStore.
I already have a blog page, could i generate an RSS from this also and how ?
    Thanks

Yes that should all be possible.
You can make RSS feeds of your web pages there is an option to turn it on on the web page settings in iWeb.
You can also submit your podcasts to the iTunes Store, pointing to the link on your web site.

  • Release 15- RSS feed

I dont know how many of you guys have seen release 15 yet but i have got access to it on our Staging instance.
They have included a feature of RSS feed on the home page .
i had a question on this . The Rss feed which we are using is from a website which allows the user to view feeds only after logging on to the website.
I have included the url of the RSS Feed on the home page of Siebel and can view the news website on my home page .
I was wondering is there a way where i can supply the user name and password in the URL itself so that the users are directly logged on to the news website as soon as they login in to Siebel CRM ?

You can try putting the URL of that RSS feed into your browser directly, then try logging in to that website. After logging in, if the URL in the browser now includes the username and password, then it means that the website accepts those URL parameters. You can then use the full URL including the username/password in your RSS feeds configuration.
Otherwise, logging into the RSS feed from On Demand would not be possible at this time.

  • Creating a title for RSS feeds

    Hello-
I have a podcast and have made a website for it using iWeb. I went to iTunes to submit my podcast, but later found out that my RSS feed for my podcast has no title in the blue section at the top of the screen.
How do I create a title for an RSS feed (it should be the same whether or not it's a blog or a podcast) using iWeb '08? By title, I mean the words in the blue bar at the top of any RSS feed. My website is http://web.mac.com/rafaelsands/GreatCommercials_Podcast/Great_Commercials_Podcast/Great_CommercialsPodcast.html and the RSS feed is feed://web.mac.com/rafaelsands/GreatCommercials_Podcast/Great_CommercialsPodcast/rss.xml
Besides no title in the blue bar, I also noticed there is no source link on the right hand side.
All help is appreciated. Thank you,
    Rafael Sands

I am having the exact same problems, any help or ideas would be very much appreciated.

  • IWeb09 RSS Feed Button not providing the correct URL

I use iWeb 3.0.1 and MobileMe to host my own domain. However, I want to add a Blog with RSS feed. When I insert the RSS Feed button it creates a link to http://www.<domain>/username>/Blog/rss.xml. This doesn't work in RSS readers since the path is not valid.
However, if I manually edit my RSS reader to point to http://web.me.com/<domain>/<username>/Blog/rss.xml it correctly finds the RSS XML file indicating that the Blog pages are being published correctly.
Is there a bug in iWeb or have I not configured something properly? I can't find a way to manually edit the RSS feed button.

Your domain uses URL forwarding with masking. It has no meaning for links. It's just cosmetics.
This is the webpage that counts :
    http://web.me.com/philipksmith/philipksmith/Blog/Blog.html
The blue RSS button is the wrong one.
Why not enable personal domain and use your domainname properly.
To use your domainname, follow the instructions in your MobileMe account where you setup Personal Domain:
    https://secure.me.com/account/
Where you'll find a link to [iWeb: Using your own domain name|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1107]
Or read it in the [MobileMe help|http://help.apple.com/mac/1/help> : Account > Setting up a Personal Domain
You can have only one domainame with Personal Domain at MobileMe. To use the other one you have to enable URL forwarding where you host your domainname.
