RSS Feeds wont open in one window anymore

Hi everybody. Got a weird one for you.
I used to be able to "middle click" (clicking my scroll wheel on my logitech mouse) on the "RSS Feeds" in my bookmark bar to view ALL new RSS feeds. That is, when I middle clicked on the "RSS Feeds", the RSS screen would open with ALL new articles on the one page, no matter how many RSS sites I had bookmarked.
For some reason just recently when I middle click the "RSS Feeds", Safari still opens the RSS screen as usual but with none of the NEW RSS feeds. "RSS Feeds" in the bookmarks bar still shows I have unread articles.
I have to open each feed individually. It's a bit of a pain.
I can't seem to find ant articles on this problem. As far as I know I didn't install any new software that would have conflicts with this.
Any idea what I can do to fix it. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for that. I probably didn't explain myself very well.
I am happy with the exe files opening in different windows it is
the html files that is the problem. The three menu files are all
html files and it is when moving between these that the multiple
window problem arose. I say 'arose' because following my message I
went back to try yet again and found that if I put all the files on
the CD without any being in a folder AND in the Advanced dialogue
box of the Text Properties - where the Link is defined - clicking
on the 'Apply to All links' button, then the menus actually open
using the same window; or at least, the sub menus do, the Main menu
window remains open with the Main menu in it. I have spent so long
messing around with this that I am going to have to settle for that
outcome I think.
All very confusing really!!

Can't open multiple FF windows anymore

Hey there,
maybe two months ago I updated to FF 31.0 and then the problems started.
The first thing I recognized, one of my AddOns didn't work as usual, but I thought
"ok, new FF version, maybe in one or two weeks it'll work as well"
Then I recognized that I can't open anymore multiple FF windows. Tabs works as
usual, but there is no way to open more than one window. I tried:
- Strg+N
- rightclick on tab and "open in new window"
- drag&drop tab outside of the FF window
... nothing works!
A new update of my AddOn was released, but this didn't change anything.
Then I exported my Favorites, uninstalled FF 31.0 and installed 32.0 beta.
I reinstalled my AddOn, few days ago I installed 33.0 beta - always the same!
Please gimme some advice =)

How can I merge all of the new FF windows that are open into one window with multiple tabs? Safari has a merge windows feature that I like. This is really nice when conducting reasearch on multiple sites at the same time.

When I clik on weblinks they all open into new windows making it somewhat painful to clik on window in the menu bar to go to each new page. I would rather have a feature that would allow me to merge all of those individual windows into tabs within one page.

FireFox doesn't fully close so whenever I reopen it refuses to open secure sites I had up when I closed it; it keeps thinking that the tab is already open and wont open another one. How do you fix this?

Whenever I close Firefox and then reopen it later on it opens the last webpage I had open before closing the browser instead of my homepage. It seems that exiting Firefox doesn't fully shut it down and just puts it into hibernation mode. This has become a problem because when I have a secure webpage open when I close the web browser, without logging out of the page, and then try to go to that page again it thinks that it's already open and wont open another page for me. This means that I can't even navigate to the page to log out. I think it might be just a setting with Firefox 4 but not sure which one, any suggestions?

My itunes wont open on my windows vista!

Search your hard drive for a file containing ITL in it. That is the file extension for the itunes database file. You might need to set Win Explorer options to show NOT hide file extensions.
Once you are sure you know where that file is, press AND HOLD the shift key while starting itunes. Keep holding the shift key until you see a question about choosing or creating a library. Choose the ITL file you found during your search.

Upgraded my HD and now 99% of my apps wont open in one user profile

I upgraded my HD yesterday. I cloned my current hard drive using CCC. When I login under my profile 99% of my apps wont open. The ones that do are iTunes, MS Office 2008, & Toast 9 but none of the rest will including all apple iLife programs. However; when my wife logs in under her profile all the apps open fine. I have repaired all permissions but they still wont open in my profile? Any ideas? If I create a new user profile and move all my personal files, music, pictures into the new profile will that work? I am assuming it would since everything opens for my wife. I hope there is a quick fix but I guess creating a new profile would be easier than reinstalling the OS.

this is very strange. cloning with CCCloner shouldn't affect anything. I suspect you had some problems in your home directory to begin with. Given this I would migrate to a new user. the easiest is to delete your current user and save the home directory as a .dmg (you'll be given that option). then mount that dmg when logged in as a new user as copy what you need there. use [this post|http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=6185507] as a guide.

Itunes 10.2 wont open in my windows 64-bit

i've been trying to open my itunes 10.2 on my toshiba a665-s6089 windows 7 64-bit, but nothing works. from my past experience, i already used itunes 10.1 and it worked pretty well, but after i updated my itunes to 10.2, it won't work. Moreover, i uninstalled my itunes 10.2 and changed it again to 10.1 and still, it wont open! I've tried to stop bonjour service, but doesn't work. please help. thanks!

Some questions aimed at narrowing in on possible culprits with error-message-free iTunes launch failures.
(1) Does your QuickTime Player launch, or do you get an error message of some kind when you try to launch that?
(2) If your QuickTime seems to be launching fine, try (by way of experiment) disabling the BonJour Service.
In your Start Menu, right-click Computer and select "Manage".
Expand "Services & Applications".
Open "Services". (Maximise the window to better see what's going on.)
Right-click the BonJour Service and select "Properties". In the "General" tab, set Start-up type to "Disabled".
Restart the PC, and try launching iTunes again. Does it launch this time?
If iTunes launches with the BonJour Service disabled, by any chance do you have a recent version of IOBit's Advanced SystemCare utility currently installed on the PC? If so, try uninstalling and reinstalling Advanced SystemCare. Can you launch iTunes without having to disable the BonJour Service now?

AR 8 doesn't open in existing window anymore

Hi,
after upgrading from AR7 to 8 on Linux, every pdf document opens in a new window. Just like I would call "acroread -openInNewWindow" every time, which I don't, of course.
If that default behaviour was changed, then the parameter "-openInNewWindow" should have been replaced by "-openInExistingWindow"!
How can I open several documents in one window now?

I was also quite "surprised" in the change from AR7 to AR8. I do not see how an why, given that you had already a way to let the user open more than 1 window, you had to remove the MDI.
The first thing I do when opening IE/mozilla/firefox, or the like, on a newly installed computer is modify the options in such a way that all new windows are actually captured and opened in new tabs (firefox is actually great in this respect, in the customization of options)....
I work mainly under linux/unix and I am not allowed to decide what version of the software to use, as I am not administrator of the computers I am working on. So I will have to wait and SUFFER up to the time you will release a new version of AR..
If it is true that the AR8 has bug fixes (and in this case the administrators are usually stronlgy against rolling back) and different things have changed that "should" improve performances, but it is also true that some window-manager are not so clever when too many windows are open and in the end the overall performances, once opening many files, are degraded!

RSS feeds wont update

Anyone else having a problem with the RSS feeds not updating? Ive tried refreshing and it just says updating on the bottom and never goes away. I tried restarting my phone with no luck either. Ive checked all the settings and made sure it autoupdates and is synced, but still nothing. My phone is stuck on Monday the 22nd and my fiancee's hasnt worked since July. Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated!

@dysfunkshun Thanks for posting. The best way to resolve your issue is to follow these steps:
Go to settings> applications> manage applications> do a force stop> then clear data.
Then, open the news app> press menu> choose settings. Make sure "Update when opened" is checked. Touch "Accounts & Sync" and make sure "Sync news" is checked and "Update when opened" is checked.

Project wont open in current window

I built several projects and one links to another, I embedd
the first project into my course window in my LMS and it plays it
that window, when it links to the next project I am calling up it
launches, but in a new window, rather than in the current window. I
have specified to open the new project in current window on the
last slide of the first project, but still opens a new webpage. My
LMS will not use the HTM file, so I am using the swf file directly
with the skin. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I can only open up one window with multiple tabs; right click "open in a new window" does not work. I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled Firefox with same results.

Just bought a new i5 laptop and am transferring files, etc onto new box. Last night I had two separate Firefox windows up. I downloaded Nexus Ultimate late and rebooted this morning. I had to restart Firefox then, and it did not save my settings/tabs as I prompted it to do when it shut down to reboot.
I uninstalled Nexus and wasted many hours trying to resolve this, including two failed system restores (looks like Nexus is a dirty little bugger) Windows Explorer will open up multiple windows. Firefox will not. Help.

Have you tried: click Firefox button > New Tab > New Window '''''OR''''' CTRL+N '''''OR''''' File > New Window (if using the Menu Bar)
Once open, Firefox locks the Profile that is in use and you can not open another window with that Firefox version and Profile combination using the Windows Desktop icon or the Windows Programs list.

Rss Feed Wont Update?

I have updated the feed by adding a new item. If you are subscribed to my show in iTunes, it downloads the 2nd episode, but you can't find the 2nd episode within the iTunes store. It only shows the first episode when viewing the page for our show. Does anyone know why this isnt updating?

However as this involves adding a tag to the feed you cannot do it in iWeb itself. You could do it this way:
Download your feed and open it in TextEdit in PLAIN TEXT MODE, not Rich Text which is often the default.
Add the tag as described in my page.
Re-upload the feed using an FTP program. Do not subsequently make any amendments in iWeb for two weeks.
Alternatively email Support at podcasts 'at' apple.com and ask them to move it (give them the URL of your Store page and both feed URLs) - there's no guarantee they will but they have done for some people.
