I got growl mail to work again afterwards.
You need to change 1 info.plist file. (use textedit to modify)
With mail off.
Go to your user login directory and follow this path:-
~/Library/Mail/Bundles/GrowlMail.mailbundle/Contents/
Info.plist
open up info.plist
and in the area under <key>SupportedPluginCompatibilityUUIDs</key>
Then add:
<string>9049EF7D-5873-4F54-A447-51D722009310</string>
<string>1C58722D-AFBD-464E-81BB-0E05C108BE06</string>
save the file and now Growl is once again working...

  • Does the RSS feed of this forum work for anyone else?

    Call me old school but I still use RSS feeds to keep up with stuff and last month the feed for this forum quit working.  After some investigation I discovered that it is not valid anymore :(

    Who do I need to contact to fix this?

    For which forum, this Forum Issues forum?
    Looks to be the Visual Studio Integrate forum:

    The RSS feed seems to be working just fine for me in a browser.

  • Safari 5.1.5 (Windows) RSS unread count no longer working

    With the previous version of Safari under Windows 7(SP1) the 'unread count' for the RSS feed bookmarks were only updated when Safari was restarted. This was bad enough, but now with Safari 5.1.5 they don't appear at all.
    I've even gone so far as removing every bit of Apple software (Safari, iTunes, iCloud, Mobile Me, Bonjour etc), removed all data in the user profile, rebooted a couple of times and completely reinstalled Safari iCloud and iTunes but still not working.
    I've been Googling about it but I couldn't find much about it, only confirmation of my previous problem (the need to restart Safari to update the counts)
    Am I the only one with this problem? Any suggestions?
    Thx, Tim

    @sean0826 -- this is why you don't use Java menus. Even javascript menus are a bad idea; you need to have a secondary menu system ANYTIME you have a menu system that requires a plugin or scripting to be active. NOT EVERYONE browses with that stuff on.
    The only thing you can do for now is FTP to your site and add in static menus (like we did in the "old days" at the bottom of the page; or rip out the Java Menus and install static or CSS versions.
    BTW where are you rmenus supposed to be. I have opera, safari, ff, and a few others. they all look the same. So if that's true, it's the plugin that's the problem, not safari.
    In Opera Pogo.com works. java loads, the game is there. It does have some drawing issues but not surprised.
    In Safair Pogo works fine. Just played a game of chess.

  • RSS Link List doesn't work

    Hi gurus,
    We are created a web page using web page composer and tried to add a RSS link on the page. We wrote a URL of a website which supports RSS and tried to drop on the web page we created. When we tried to drop in on the page, it starts to work but nothing happens. It just hangs.
    I implemented the note 1237556 but useless. I tried in our other portal system but the same error.
    Any suggesstions
    Tolga

    Hi Tolga,
    Did you resolve this issue you was having the the RSS Link List in Web Page composer?
    If so can you please provide details how you fixed it as i'm having the same issues.

  • RSS Viewer Web part not working after installing kb2767793

    Hi,
    I just patched our sharepoint farm with kb2767793 - after installing this CU the RSS Web part is no longer loading as expected on our pages, it just keeps trying to load forever.
    If I choose to edit the page the RSS feed loads with no issues when in edit mode. When going back to published view I experience the same issue.
    The symptom is only present if the page contains more web parts eg Content Query Web part. If I create a page with only the RSS viewer web part it functions as expected.
    Has anyone experienced this or has any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Luke

    We have the same issue after installing the April security updates.
    I opened a support case with Microsoft and they proposed these using one of these solutions (see below).
    Unfortunately these did not work for us.
    Summary
     Page Level: add a CEWP to the page and add the following custom script to it:
    Save the following JavaScript to a .txt file and upload the file to any document library in the root of the site.
    <Script Type="text/javascript">
    function CustomUpdateFormDigest()
    if(window._spPageContextInfo != null)
    var $v_2 = window._spPageContextInfo;
    var $v_3 = $v_2.webServerRelativeUrl;
    var $v_4 = window._spFormDigestRefreshInterval;
    UpdateFormDigest($v_3, $v_4);
    CustomUpdateFormDigest();
    </Script>
    Adding the above script to the Master Page
    3)     Web Application Level:
    Turn off Security Validation for the pages from Central Admin -> Web Application -> General Settings.

  • RSS feeds in Mail stopped working

    Out of nowhere my RSS feeds stopped working. They dont update. I have about 20 feeds, most of which update 10+ times a day and they have not been updated in over 24 hours. I've restarted my computer, tried to manually update, changed the RSS settings in prefs... nothing works. This makes no sense. I love having my feeds in my mail, but Im way behind on stuff now. Anyone know what sup?

    My RSS feeds stopped in Safari as well.
    As a temporary measure I'm using the news reader widget that came with the OS.
    The feeds still work through it.
    Sorry, not any help.

  • RSS Feeds on Podcast(not working)

    I use Go daddy as my host not .mac which I am starting to believe is the cause of the problem.
    http://www.johnnyjungle.com/JungleRadio/JungleRadio.html
    is my page that I am having problems with so you can see for yourself....does anyone know why the RSS feeds won't work?

    ok we're getting closer this helped but still not correct.
    I entered the site in the box however it doesn't give the right link in the box.
    I tried renaming my file a few times however nothing seems to work
    Instead of giving the correct RSS feed it includes the file name
    so instead of being feed://www.johnnyjungle.com/Jungle_Radio/rss.xml
    it comes up at feed://www.johnnyjungle.com/JohnnyJungle/JungleRadio/rss.xml
    as my file name is Johnny Jungle. I tried making it http://www.johnnyjungle.com for the file name but it does the same thing.
    I'm so close please help

  • Does the RSS feed for Dev Forums work for you?

    Does the RSS feed (lower right corner of the screen)
    http://discussions.apple.com/rss.jspa?feed=rss/rssmessages.jspa?forumID=727
    work for you? I tried to add the URL to one of the RSS readers on my iPhone but none could identify a working feed. Any hints?

    Well, I think they just got the RSS image link wrong. The correct link is:
    http://discussions.apple.com/rss/rssmessages.jspa?forumID=727
    Works fine in all readers.
    (I still wonder how others have gotten the link I initially posted working... )

  • RSS Feeds that worked prior to SP2, now do not work

    I am working with SharePoint 2010 Enterprise edition.  We have several wiki pages with RSS feeds that have been working well for a while.  Once we added the SP2 patch, the RSS feeds no longer work unless the page is checked out.
    Once checked out, you can set them up, see the feed and all is good, until the page is checked in again.
    I tried removing the RSS feed and recreating it and have the same issue, works fine until the page is checked in.
    Could someone help direct me to a solution?  I looked through many forums on RSS feed errors and haven't seen anything helpful.  Thanks!
    staci

    Hi staci,
    It was a known issue from 2013 February CU and it had been fixed in 2013 June CU, however you can also install 2013 August CU for your SharePoint 2010 per the following article, this issue disappers without any side affects, you
    can take a look.

  • RSS button not working!

    Hi,
    I have just added an RSS subscribe button to my site and it is not working.
    When i click on it it says that the URL (www.corekinetics.co.uk/corekinetics/welcome/rss.xml) is not available. I think i know why.......
    I want the url to point to www.corekinetics.co.uk/welcome/rss.xml NOT www.corekinetics.co.uk/corekinetics/welcome/rss.xml
    When i export my iWeb site to a folder (to upload to my domain name) it creates a root folder of CoreKinetics. When i upload the site to my server i have to upload the contents of this folder separately for it to work. To that end there is no CoreKinetics folder on the server just all the files that were in it.
    I'm pretty sure this is the problem, but dont know how to rectify it?
    Maybe i can configure the RSS button to point to the directory i want?
    or
    Perhaps i can change the configuration of the directories on my server so that i CAN upload the Corekinetics folder in it's entirety, and hopefully the original location the RSS button points to will work?
    Cedric if you are out there i could use your help agian?
    Can anyone help at all?
    Jonathan

    Looks like I finally figured it out.
    For future reference:
    I publish my site to the "Sites" folder. After publishing site "x" to a folder, the "Sites" folder should now have:
    - index.html
    - x (folder)
    You have to upload these to your server.

  • RSS subscribe button not working in my blog

    Hi there
    I created a site for a game I am playing but the RSS subscribe button isn't working it just goes back to the home page.
    The site is hosted on MobileMe and the url to the blog page is http://www.tttblog.co.uk/, and click on the blog link ( this isn't a shameless plug ) I just need get the RSS feed working
    not sure what other information you require, I have set this to be my personal domain in the MobileMe console
    cheers
    JP

    The URL to the blog page is :
         http://web.mac.com/johnpaul.temple/WFRP/Blog/Blog.html
    And no, you haven't set you personal domain with http://www.tttblog.co.uk.
    You're hiding the pages with it.
    The MMe Help explains how to do it properly:
         Set up or remove a personal domain name with MobileMe

  • Rss works only in safari

    Why does rss buttons in iWeb bloggpages work only with safari. xml problem?

    Sounds like an OS issue. Perhaps doing the same update may help you. Or, perhaps trashing Safari's prefs and re-opening the app would help.

  • RSS feed reader stopped working

    Hi,
    I have an RSS feed reading function that worked just fine until yesterday.  I grab an RSS feed from google news using cfhttp and then parse it using XMLParse.  I am attaching the code below.
    Does anyone know if anything changed at Google or somewhere else that would cause my code to stop working?  Instead of the expected results, I see the browser saying the page is loading but never get any results.
    Perhaps there is a parameter I never set in the CFHTTP line and skated by without it for all this time.  It is definitely hanging up on the CFHTTP call.
    Thanks for the help.
    With relation to the code, the search term I am using is "football" and the searchtype is "AND".

  • Some RSS feeds have stopped working.

    when i picked up the latest update to firefox a few of my rss live bookmarks have stopped working
    and example is http://kaitou-fansubs.com/?feed=rss2
    this feed works when you navigate to to but wont display as a live bookmark
    as it is only some sites then i don't think its just a firefox issue however as the issues only occurred after the update then i think something changed with firefox that has triggered the incompatibility

    Ahh well then i guess what changed in the update was improved validation, which has killed some badly formed feeds
