RSTXLDMC

hi,
i am uploading a tiff file but i am getting a error like this TIFF FORMAT ERROR : NO BASELINE TIFF 6.0 FILE

may be because you are using uncompressed tiff images.
Use only UNCOMPRESSED TIFF formats.
Use standard programs to create TIFF formats.convert the image to tiff file using adobe photoshop OR Photo Editor. then it will work
you can upload bmp images using transaction : SE78.

    Thanks in Advance,

The keyword here is Baseline 6.0 TIFF file.
In the past we had this problem and I did use Microsoft photo editor (I guess MPE has baseline 6.0 encoding).
In Office 2003, it is called Microsoft Office Picture Manager. In this, use the Export feature to convert to TIFF. "File->Save As" does not work in this version.
There are other image editing softwares out there that do have multiple TIFF encoding options (I did see it before).
Check if your company has a graphics division and see if they can get you the file in baseline 6.0 encoding. IF they create the file directly in TIFF with the encoding you want, then that would be the best resolution image to use.

  • Import logo using RSTXLDMC prg giving error msg like

    Hi All
    I am importing logo(tif format)
by using RSTXLDMC program, it's giving error mesage "TIFF format error: No baseline TIFF 6.0 file"
can anyone explain me this issue.
    Regards
    Chinna

program: RSTXLDMC , upload .tiff file from C drive . ( type = BMON/ BCOL , text id = ST ..., text = name..so10) INCLUDE name OBJECT ID STANDARD in layout set window .
Save a Logo using Paintshop Pro or Corel Draw as Tiff file. Use RSTXLDMC to convert the logo to standard text in SapScript. When the program is executed, the path and file name have to be correctly specified.
Process could be like the following:
    Run RSTXLDMC
    Enter file name C:\MAIL\COMPLOGO.TIF
    Resolution for Tiff file
    Absolute X-position
    Absolute Y-position
    Absolute positioning
    Reserved height
    Shift to right
    UOM = CM
    Text title
Line width for text = 132
    Text name ZHEX-MACRO-COMPLOGO
    Text ID ST
    Text language = E
    Postscript scaling
Width & Height according to PS scaling
Number of Tiff gray levels (2,4,9) 2
    Then Create a new window 'COMP' with attributes;
    Window COMP description Company Logo
    Window type CONST
Left margin 7.00 CH window width 10.00 CH
Upper margin LN window height 8.00 LN
Finally in the text element , mention
/: INCLUDE 'ZHEX-MACRO-COMPLOGO' OBJECT TEXT ID ST LANGUAGE 'E'.
Please note that if object name is not indicated as 'ZHEX...', the logo may not be printed!
You will not be able to see the logo in a test print. The same will be printed in actual printout.
If you are using two logos in the same layout, the names of the logos should be unique. Say 'ZHEX-MACRO-LOGO1' and 'ZHEX-MACRO-LOGO2'. Else all the information will be overwritten.
If the logo is not EXACTLY TIFF 6.0 , the same will not be printed.
See OSS notes 5995, 18045, 39031 for some inputs.
    regards

  • Issue while uploading .TIFF file into Standard text using RSTXLDMC

    Hi All,
We are facing issues while uploading .TIFF file into standard text through program RSTXLDMC.
    Getting the following error.
TIFF format error: No baseline TIFF 6.0 file.
The image is a colored one.
Please provide me solution if anyone has worked in this area.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Anand Raj Kuruba.

    Hi,
Often this error occurs because the TIFF file you have has been saved with some form of compression.  You need to open in a picture edit program and save as TIFF making sure options are set so there is no compression.

  • Uploading .tif images using rstxldmc program

    Hi,

  • Difference between se78 and progra RSTXLDMC

    Hi Experts,
i would like to upload a logo into script, i checked there are 2 options as mentioned in the sbject. which one is better.
    Regards
    Rama.

    Hi,
To print logos in SapScripts we can use either of the method:
RSTXLDMC is the standard program used for uploading the logo to script (to upload image in tiff format).
i.e Convert the logo to a TIFF file.
Use the program RSTXLDMC to convert the TIFF file to standard text.
Print this using the INCLUDE command:
INCLUDE ZLOGO OBJECT TEXT ID ST
    OR
Upolad in the R3 using Se78 and use the Include statement in the script.
    2)For bitmaps (*.bmp)
    Go to transaction SE78
    Choose BMAP under GRAPHICS
    Choose Import Graphic (F5)
    Select the image and upload
In SE71 choose Insert->Graphics and then choose the image for display
NOTE :Uploading .TIFF images with RSTXLDMC program is obsolete and sometimes
complicated, a better way is using TCode SE78 using .BMP files.
    May it helps you.
    Regards.
    DS.

    Hi,
    Command in your Sapscript
/: INCLUDE Z_YOUR_LOGO OBJECT TEXT ID 'ST' LANGUAGE 'E'
These are the steps to be followed for uploading graphics in R/3 system
    1. First save the file as BMP
    2. Open the BMP file in IMaging (Goto -> Programs -> Accessories -> Imaging) and
make it Zoom as 100% and save as *.TIFF
    3. Open SE38 and execute program RSTXLDMC
    4. Give your TIFF file path name
    5. Select Bcol (for Color)
    6. TEXT ID will be ZHEX-MACRO-*.
    7. Inplace of * write your own logo name (ZCOMPANYLOGO)
    8. Execute the program
    9. Now Goto SE71 create your ZFORM
    10. Create logo window
    11. Goto text element of logo window
    Thanks,

  • Import and print a PDF file

I'm using a SAPSCRIPT to printout documents (as production orders).
And I need to attach a PDF file to this document .
The only way I found, is to export the PDF file to PCL file and then import it  as a STANDARD TEXT (so to include it in the SAPSCRIPT) using the program 'RSTXLDMC'.
But I need a way to import direct the PDF file to scapscript, is it possbile ?
    Thanks

Sorry, I loaded Snow Leopard so had to create a new user temporarily (Yarp001) ...
I tried the Print as Bitmap option but no difference. I'm looking at a software/hardware colour management solution.

    Hi
To create a logo in SAP printouts just do the following
    1. Save a Logo using Imaging, Paint shop Pro or Corel Draw as Tiff file.
    2. Run  program <b>RSTXLDMC</b> and enter the following parameters
       Enter file name                     C:\COMPLOGO.TIF
       UOM                           CM
        Line width for text                132
        Text name                     ZHEX-MACRO-COMPLOGO
        Text ID                          ST
        Text language = E
Number of Tiff gray levels (2,4,9) 2
    3.  Then Create a new window 'COMP' with attributes;
    Window COMP description Company Logo
Left margin 7.00 CH window width 10.00 CH
Upper margin LN window height 8.00 LN
Finally in the text element, mention
/: INCLUDE 'ZHEX-MACRO-COMPLOGO' OBJECT TEXT ID ST LANGUAGE 'E'.
Please note that if object name is not indicated as 'ZHEX...’ the logo may not be printed!
You will not be able to see the logo in a test print. The same will be printed in actual printout.
