RT build not recognized by LabVIEW 2012

Recently I began upgrading an existing RT project from LV 2011 to 2012, and I have run into a problem when I attempt to build the RT application. The application builds without errors, but when completed the icon within the project is a blue circle with a white question mark on the inside, and does not deploy correctly. According to LV help this icon represents a file with an unknown editor. My initial thought is that I am missing a toolkit, or something else that I need to install.
system specs:
W7 32bit
LV 2012
4x RT targets

In terms of required installation, when upgrading from LabVIEW 2011 to LabVIEW 2012, you will also need to install LabVIEW Real-Time 2012 and NI-RIO 12.0. You will then have to make sure your RT targets also have their software components upgraded to match your host.
Which icon in your project is a blue circle with a white question mark? A screen shot would be helpful. I have seen this question mark, and removing then re-adding the offending file (.lvproj in my case) removed the question mark. Assuming your software is all installed, you might try this method. You could also try navigating to the location of the file in your Windows Explorer and launching it into LabVIEW from there. This should associate LabVIEW with that type of file, and allow LabVIEW to work with it.

A task created in MAX is not recognized in LabVIEW

I have the following HW and SW:
PXI 6259 Multifunction DAQ module
MAX 3.1
LabVIEW version 7.1
I have created a DAQmx task in MAX. I put a task constant on my block diagram, selected the task that had created in MAX, right click on the border of the constant and select Generate Code-> Example which creates a simple code that starts the task, reads and displays the data, and stops the task. But when I run the VI, I get an error "Task specified is invalid or does not exist". Clearly the task existed since I was able to select it from the task constant. I can also see the task in MAX and run the test which is fine. So what is the problem?

I've been having this same 200088 error problem.
HW: PCI-6624
SW: Labview 7.1
I opened a counter in VI.lib/DAQmx/read.lib. I created a new task for a period and pulse width measurement in a sequence structure. Everything was fine until I left Labview and came back in. It gave me this 200088 error saying it couldn't find the task. I opened up the Measurements and Automation studio and tested each task I created. They all worked fine. Shut down my PC and brought it back up. Same error.
I found a solution on one thead here in NI, but so far it's not working either. On that thread, it was said this is a known problem with Labvew and should have a fix soon. Their solution was to put a "DAQmx task is done.vi" in after my task, but before any property nodes. I got the 200088 error again, but this time it said:
Error -200088 occurred at Property Node DAQmx Task (arg 1) in DAQmx Is Task Done.vi->32 chn Front Panel VER6.vi
Possible reason(s):
Task specified is invalid or does not exist.
So I am trying a different approach. Frustrated in Columbus.

SQL 2012 SP1 not recognized by CM 2012 CU2+

I am currently attempting to install and configure the System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager onto a Windows 2012 (6.3.9600) server using SQL 2012 SP1, however when I attempt to link it to the database in the CM Install panel, it informs me that I must
link it to one of several versions of SQL that is compatible. It directly lists SQL 2012 SP1 as an acceptable version.
My current SQL version is 11.0.3349.0 (11.0.3---.- being SP1). The instance, FQDN, and database name are correct but this error presents every time.
So breakdown is below:
-With Instance it presents with a connection error
-Without Instance it presents with a SQL Version error
-Account has SQL admin access
-Server is not using dynamic ports
-Firewall is disabled for testing purposes
Is there something I am missing?

Define "Account has SQL admin access"?
That statement is ambiguous at best. The exact requirement is that the account you are using to run setup must both be a local admin on the system hosting the SQL Instance and must be a sysadm in that SQL Instance. The two requirements are very different
things.
Are you trying to use a non-default instance? If so, I'm assuming it's also not listening on port 1433. In this case, you must enable the SQL Browser service so that the non-default SQL Instance can be found.
Is there a specific reason you are using a non-default, remote instance of SQL Server?

On my insight I had to do the following
1 Switch off the car radio at the radio power switch
2 turn off the car
3 power off the iphone (not sleep!)
4 connect the iPhone to the car
5 Power up the car
6 switch on the radio
At this point the iPhone should power up. part of the power up it will re-negotiate with the radio and it should now work normally.

Labview 2012 sp1 Linux No Help ?

Hi all, my help is not working in Labview 2012 sp1 (Linux edition).
I keep reading that i need to change a .lvbrowser file, but this file does not exist anywhere on my system ( i have searched everywhere). When i first selected help it asked me to select a browser ( i chose firefox), but now when i click help nothing happens...
Any ideas?

Hi,
It sounds like the help file may not have been installed whenever you installed LabVIEW. I would try reinstalling and be sure to install any help file listed in the command prompts.

Installing both Vision Builder 2012 and LabView 2012 on same Computer

am new to NI Vision Builder Automation Inspection 2012 (Which I am supposed to learn and use for part inspection) as well as LabView (Which I need not know at this time)
When I was presented (to work with) a 1722 Camera and the computer, Labview 2012 was already installed but not Vision Builder.
The IT folks installed the Vision builder without uninstalling LabView.
I have my problems getting upto speed with my inspection work, but is any of it attributed to both systems being on the computer?
Can I (Must I) uninstall LaView??

LabVIEW and Vision Builder run fine on the same computer. I have several versions of each on mine with no problems.

Some fonts are not shown correctly in LabVIEW 2012

I found a bug related with fonts in LabVIEW2012 f3 KR.
- When I select NI7SEG in font selection dialog, right font is not shown in the example box.
- Draw text at point.vi shows same problem for some fonts while other fonts are working.
I reported it to Korean NI. As far as I know, this was not reported in previous versions and I couldn't find any related documents in Google.
So, here I would like to know whether it is related with only Korean version. Please let me know if English version is OK.
* OS: Windows 7 32bit KR

Just now, I installed LabVIEW 2012 f3 (32-bit, English) and checked for the issue. But the font(NI7SEG) was not shown properly in VI either.
- Both of Korea and English version of LabVIEW 2012 on Win 7 Korea OS shows wrong results. It is same on 64-bit OS.
- LabVIEW 2010 but on same PC shows correct fonts.
Is there a limit of number of fonts in LabVIEW? There are more than 100 fonts are shown in the "Selection Font" dialog and I can divide them into 3 groups by sequential order. I find that all fonts in the 3rd group are not applied correctly.

Mini displayport not recognized in Windows 7 on MBP mid 2012

Hi
I have a MBPro mid 2012 with windows 7 pro installed. While i'm in windows my mini displayport is not recognized when i connect it to my smart tv. The connector i use is a Logilink Mini Displayport to HDMI. In Mavericks it works fine though. Anyone can point me in the direction of the right driver to install in windows?

External Isight camera & 2012 Macbook Pro not recognized

Hello,
External Isight camera connected to 2012 Macbook Pro through Firewire. Green light on camera comes on but camera is not recognized in Photo Booth or FaceTime. Also does not show up in hardware.

Hi Shada this can happen if you are including additional installers to your installer for example DAQmx. When you are doing this the installer has to include other files like MAX (Measuremente and Automation Explorer). Probably when you installed Vision Builder it updated MAX, so when your installer is trying to Include MAX, its asking for the source where it was installed in your computer in this case Vision Builder.
Here you can cache the information so its not asked again, or you can download a newer version fo DAQmx, so it will update MAX and change de dependecy.

Flash Builder 4.6 Not Recognizing Valid CS 5.5 Premium Serial Number

I have downloaded and attempted to install Flash Builder 4.6 over the install of FB 4.5 that came with Web Premium 5.5
The serial number from my original install is not recognized as a valid serial number for FB 4.6
I am hesitant to uninstall FB 4.5 first and attempt the install of 4.6 since I am running Windows 7 64 bit and others in this forum are saying they have had install issues on that platform.
Come on Adobe ! You are better than this !

in another thread jleydig has mentioned very precisely how to serialize FB 4.6. Please follow it for serializing FB 4.6
1) Deactivated CS 5.5 by going into Flash Builder clicking Help > Deactivate Flash Builder...and clicking "Deactivate Permanently" (which deactivated the entire suite)
2) Uninstalled only Flash Builder 4.5 and the iOS Component through the Control Panel (I'm sure you know how to do but just in case... go to Control Panel > Programs and Features (terminology may vary based on your OS) and click on your CS and click Uninstall. This will launch the Adobe uninstaller. From there deselect everything and only select (check) Flash Builder 4.5 and the iOS Component and then uninstall them - uninstalling the iOS Component might not be necessary, but I did it anyway)
3) Restarted after those uninstalled
4) Launched Photoshop and entered my CS Serial Number (you should be able to launch any CS program thats still installed to do this)
5) Once it opened, closed it
6) Installed Flash Builder 4.6 in Trial Mode making sure to select the same language used when CS was installed (that's IMPORTANT)
7) Launched Flash Builder 4.6 in 60-Day (or however many days it was) Trail Mode
8) Once it opened, closed it
9) Launched Flash Builder 4.6 again, but this time I entered the Serial Number from my CS (at that point it accepted the SN and opened like normal and has everytime since)
10) I then installed my iOS Component from my original CS

SQL Svr 2012 / SharePoint 2013 "Install-SPRSService is not recognized..."

I'm having a heck of a time trying to get Reporting Services integrated with SharePoint 2013. The end result is that no matter what I try, I keep getting the "The term 'Install-SPRSService' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet" error
which thereby prevents me from finalizing the integration with SP 2013.
Following is a description of my lab + the steps I've followed to try to resolve:
In a virtual environment with 3 machines, I have one set as the Domain Controller, one with SQL Server 2012 installed (no reporting services), one with SharePoint Server 2013.
The domain is working fine... no problems there. SQL Server 2012 is working fine... I can connect to it locally and remotely, execute commands, etc.
On the SharePoint 2013 machine, I have tried two ways... 1) install SharePoint 2013 first, then install SQL Server requirements... 2) install SQL Server requirements first, then SharePoint 2013.
In both methods, I am installing both "Reporting Services - SharePoint" and "Reporting Services Add-in for SharePoint Products" on the same machine as SharePoint Server 2013.
My understanding was that when SP is installed first, the SQL Server installation should auto-register the necessary components (meaning running Install-SPRSService and ServiceProxy are not required). However, in this scenario, this doesn't appear to
have happened. The service does not appear at all within SharePoint. Attempting to run "Install-SPRSService" fails with the "not recognized" error.
In the second scenario (Installing SQL Server components first, then SharePoint second), it is my understanding that the "Install-SPRSService and Install-SPRSServiceProxy" must be run manually. With both SQL Server components and SharePoint 2013
successfully installed, running "Install-SPRSService" fails with the "not recognized" error.
I would also like to point out that I am executing the Install command from the "SharePoint 2013 Mangement Shell" (right clicking and running as Administrator).
Any suggestions or nuggets-of-wisdom would be GREATLY appreciated!

I had the same issue when installing SSRS in SharePoint integrated mode. I had SharePoint management Shell opened, installed SQL binaries and then tried to run command Install-SPRSService
and Install-SPRSServiceProxy. I got the same errors.
But then I thought, if assemblies for SharePoint are loaded when Management Shell is opened, the assemblies were not
there when I opened PowerShell. So I just closed Management Shell, opened it again and everything worked as expected.

AX Dynamics 2012 Reporting Service Extension Error - The user or gorup name is not recognized

I am currently installing AX Dynamics 2012 Reporting Service Extension on one of our machine. But this always fails during the installation with this error:

Our current domain is MWSerp
An error occurred while adding users AxERP\qaproxy, AxERP\qaaos, MWSerp\qaproxy to the SQL Server Reporting Services DynamicsAXBrowser role in the folder dynamicsAX. The error is: The user or group name AxERP\qaproxy is not recognized.
The database was restored from our old Ax Deployment on a different domain - AxERP if you noticed on the error, 2 domains are present: AxERP (old domain) and MWSerp (our existing).
I find it peculiar that it is still adding old accounts from the old domain which is not existent. Tried looking for it on the registry or on the AX Dynamics User account but there are no entries on AxERP\qaaos and AxERP\qaproxy on it.
Do you have any clue on where AX Installer is picking up those information which needs to be added on the DynamicsAXBrowser? Tried stopping /starting the AOS Service and generating WCF. Also tried looking on registry but couldnt find it. How can I bypass
it so the Extension will be installed successfully. I also tried not deploying the reports, just the Extension only.

Server 2012 R2 and DPM 2012 (ocsetup not recognized)

I am trying to install DPM 2012 on Server 2012 R2 and unalbe to get past prerequisties check. When I try the command "OCSetup.exe SIS-Limited" it comes up that OCSetup is not recognized. How do I install (SIS) on Server 2012 R2?

DPM 2012 SP1 is not supported running on Windows 2012 R2. Please decide on one of the following.
A) Install DPM 2012 R2 on the Windows Server 2012 R2 or other
supported operating systems.
B) Install DPM 2012 SP1 on Windows Server 2012 or other
supported operating systems.
FYI for Windows server 2012 R2 the new command is:
dism /online /enable-feature:SIS-Limited

Labview 2012 (64bit) not working with ActiveX and MSAccess

I have a program developed to open a MSAccess database file and import data using ActiveX commands. The program works with LabView 2012 (32bit) but fails on the ActiveX open command when using LabView 2012 (64bit). I also have the application built as an EXE and it works fine in a windows 32 bit environment (XP or Win 7-32bit) but fails when run on Win 7-64bit. I isolated the error down to the Active X automation Open VI.
Anyone have a solution for the incompatibility?

1.) VI and EXE works on XP and Win 7-32bit
2.) EXE fail on Win 7-64bit.
3.) VI works on Win 7-64 bit with LV 2012 (32bit)
4.) VI fails on Win 7-64 bit with LV 2012 (64bit)

It looks like you are trying to load a 32-bit DLL from a 64-bit OS. Do you have a 64-bit version of access installed? You'll need to change to that. On the other hand, ActiveX with Access is so slow. You can speed things up considerably by using ADO (i.e. NI's Database Connectivity Toolkit or something like LabSQL).
