Rt speaker of hp probook 4510s is not working

the right speaker of my hp probook 4510s is not working and seems to be replaced

Hi:
That is very odd...
I have the Elitebook 6930p and it has the same ADI audio chip and it works 98% fine with W8.
The only thing that doesn't work is I have checked the box to play the W8 startup sound and it will not on a cold boot, but does on a warm boot (restart).
Other than that, the audio works perfectly.
I used the W7 Pro audio driver from the support and driver page which is the same version as yours in an effort to fix the no W8 startup sound on cold boot, but it didn't help.
You will find that the W7 driver from our support and driver page is actually a newer version than the one W8 installs.
My only other suggestion to you would be to install the latest chipset driver and see if that makes a difference.
First download is what you want.

my speaker as well as headphones are not working in hp pavillion dm4 1101tx series

    Hi,
    Try the following.
Download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp51501-52000/sp51937.exe
When done, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers.  Right click the IDT device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.
When complete, restart the notebook and let Windows fully load.  Open your Downloads folder, right click on the IDT installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  When this has completed, right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select Playback Devices.  Left click 'Speakers and Headphones' once to highlight it and then click the Set Default button - check if you now have audio.
If you still have no audio, open windows Control Panel, open Administrative Tools and open Services.  Check that the following services are all showing as Status= Started and Start-up Type= Automatic
    Audio Service
    Multimedia Class Scheduler
    Windows Audio
    Windows Audio Endpoint Builder
If you need to make a change to any of the above, just right click the service and select Properties, then in the dropdown box next to 'Start-up type',  select Automatic and click Apply to save the change.  Then click the Start button.

  • Probook 4510s will not boot

I have a Probook 4510s that I got from work.  I ordered the original CD's and loaded the OS and drivers.  I was getting it set up for my church and had all the software installed.  I wanted to remove the Credential Manager so that there wasn't 2 icons on the opening screen and removed it through Control Panel/Program and Features/Uninstall.  When I rebooted after the install, the laptop does not recognize the CD Drive or hard drive and does not boot up.  In the BIOS set up, I matched the options with another computer of the same model that is working.  it now acts like it is reading the CD, but still doesn't boot.  The only difference between the 2  is that there are 2 entries missing for HP Quick Look and Prebooth Authentication on HP Quick Look.  And there are no devices in the boot order.
I tried moving an already imaged hard drive from another Probook of the same model and it doesn't read that hard drive either.  Is there a way to recover or have a damaged my motherboard?

I assume you mean it won't boot from the Recovery cd? Since this is a business class laptop I would suggest posting in the Probook specific forum where they should know more about Credential Manager on business machines and if there is a solution to resolve this.

  • The speaker on my ipod touch is not working

    Hi
I have an ipod touch which is a year old.  The speaker element is not working.  I can still listen to music on the headphone facility, but any noises or alerts the ipod made cannot be heard through the speaker.  Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
    Many thanks
    Sian

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

    Hi,

This issue was found in my replacement motherboard. the original mother do not have this issue.
The origianl mother to be replace is due to can't power on after a power failure recovery. I believe was due to power surge killed the motherboard's power controller circuitry.
Appreciate any one can provide clue for resolving the problem.
I have tried to install speedfan to try my luck, but it can't any fan in the application to configure. (Bios Version F50)

  • Right speaker on Macbook Pro (with Retina) not working..

Bought Macbook Pro with retina display yesterday and just noticed sounds is only coming from the left speaker. I've checked on system preferences and when I turn the left hand speaker down there is no sound. Is this a manufacturing error or something I need to do?!

    Hi,
Not a lot to go by from the lack of detail in your post, however let me try to help.
[note I may not follo up on your response - just a heads up as i'm very busy [ arent we all]]
Anyway, I bought a HP Pavilliion 500 the other day. and was stoked - awesome machine at a great price locally.
So after plugging in my Altec Lansing 6.1 surround sound speakers using the brown/black/green colour coded input plugs on the back of the PC's audio card (built in) - to correspond with the cables on thealtec lansing, I noticed that 2 speakers were working at the same time, and another speaker did work at all.
I spent about an hour or 2 pulling hair until I finally turned everything off, then plugged it in, then turned n the speakers and then the PC - voila - the speakers were working, one thing I had to do though was move them around as the front right speaker was now the middle etc, no biggy - just moved the speakers around...
PS: there was a siding button on the back n my speakers that allow full 6.1 or stereo - which I hd to change to get it to work.
Also on the altec lansing model I have I had to adjust the surround knob on the main speaker control to #10 for surround for the speakers to work individually.
I hope it helps you somewhat?
Check what inputs you are using. Check the inbuilt sound control software, in my case it was DTS Audio Settings, which allowed me to tweak things a bit.
Sometimes yes it is hardward, but when you know your have "known good speakers"as I did, and a brand new PC - which in theory should handle the speakers I am using, then it can be a combination of trial and error to get them working...
I gues you have the latest drivers, and if you dont have any great input options (ie: if you only have headphones socket) and are using stereo - ty some headphones? - as sometimes it can be the cable socket itself which is just built slightly different so the speakers dont all come thourgh like they should...
    Cheers

  • Probook 4530s sound not working after reïnstalling audio driver

    Hello,
The last few days I noticed this weird sound while I was playing music or any other sounds from my computer. It's hard to explain what it sounds like but it was like the sound got distorted for a second every now and then, kinda like a robot sound. I looked up if I could fix this problem and found that reïnstalling the audio driver should fix the problem. That's what I did but after reïnstalling and restarting my laptop it said 'Nou Audio Output Device is installed' which I clearly did from the hp website. I have no sound at the moment. I tried installing a previous version of the audio driver, but that didn't work either. I'm pretty sure I installed the right drivers (I tried sp59291 and the earlier version sp57776).
I also don't know which version I installed first.
    Additional information:
-Before installing a new audio driver I went to Device Manager and uninstalled the current audio driver.
-At Device Manager beneath the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC there is a line called 'Intel(R) Display Audio'
-At Device Manager there's a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark at IDT High Definition Audio CODEC
-I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit installed, service pack 1
I hope you can help me out!

  • Bluetooth volume not working after last firmware update

After the latest firmware update I'm not able to adjust the volume. Both when i use the volume rockers on the side, or try it via settings, the indicator shows changeing volume - but there are no difference. VERY ANOYING!
any solution planned for att this issue?
Edit; just notice that the bluetooth volume is working on headset but not on devices with only media playback. (Working with SBH20 but not with AV-receiver or bluetooth speaker)

I can confirm that my Z2 bluetooth volume control stops working when i use it with my logitech bluetooth speaker.
Bluetooth volume control does not work when I use Spotify, TuneIn Radio Pro, SoundCloud or Walkman. However the seemingly same bluetooth volume control works when I use Poweramp.
At first I tought that the problem was related to streaming music but since the Walkman bt sound volume does not work on local media files it is not the case.
The bluetooth volume control works with my Nexus 7 and Lumia 1020.
Does anyone have heard from Sony regarding this issue?

  • HP Probook 4510S says "Plugged in Not Charging," little help from tech support

    Hi there,
I have a two year old HP Probook 4510S that has had a ton of problems. The most recent of which was an error message every time I turned on the computer saying "Batter is critically low" and it stopped charging and said that power was 0% (it continued to work though if it was plugged in and would die immediately if the plug was removed). I replaced the battery ($108), which took about a month to receive because HP apparently sent the store the battery that goes with the new model of Probook and said it would fit in the old model (it didn't and had to be sent back). When I finally got the new battery it worked for about a day and then I noticed that the message said "Plugged in, not charging" and when the charger isn't plugged in the battery seems to deplete rapidly. Now it's at 36% and not charging.
I spoke to someone today at tech support and she said because it's out of warranty they couldn't help me, but that I should "try a friend's charger" to diagnose the problem myself, as though everyone has the same charger. When I said I didn't have access to another laptop to try another charger she just repeated that I need to try it on a different charger to see if it's a problem with the battery or the charger. But that if it's the battery and I provide them with proof of purchase they could replace that. The battery is brand new and doing the same thing as the last battery, so I doubt this is the problem. I said that I had seen messages all over the internet discussing this problem and that no one seemed to have the answer and she said "Those are on the internet, we haven't substantiated those claims." I'm shocked that HP doesn't seem to care that they get a bad reputation for offering so little help if a product is out of warranty. Because of this experience I doubt I would purchase another product from them, and I would warn others against it too. I've had more computer problems with HP than any other brand of laptop I've had or any of my friends/family have had. In the meantime, has anyone else had this problem? From the forums I've read it seems that occasionally people find solutions, but none seem to be working for me. Any insight would be much appreciated.

I did a BIOS update on my ProBook 4530s and it took care of the problem
