RTC-5008 Unable to execute in OWB

Hi,
When I execute the mappings in Deployment Manager I get the following error
RTC - 5008: Unable to execute .....
Pls let me know if anyone can provide solution for this

Hi Kishan,
I'd say you have to re-register your OWB-locations.
Connect as the Runtime Repository User to check whether the current setup of your locations is valid.
Look at the content of tables WB_RT_STORES and WB_RT_STORE_PARAMETERS (holds locations and all appropriate attributes).
Unregistering can only done using Runtime Audit Browser, registering is done using the Deployment Manager or via OMBPlus.

I opened a TAR for this problem, but maybe someone has experienced that situation and could help :-(
I'm no more able to execute any process with Deployment Manager (OWB10G rel 1).
I can deploy with success, but when I try to execute, I got this error message RTC-5008 : Unable to perform execution. The selected object hasn't been depolyed. Please deploy... eventhough it has been deployed with success !
I've tried everything I could possibly think of and nothing works properly.
I uninstalled OWB and reinstall it.
I deleted Runtime Repository and recreated a new one.
I deleted Runtime User and recreated a new one.
I really don't know what to do now... The only thing I haven't recreated is the repository itself.
Any suggestion ?

I've had RTC-5008 happening, the solution then was to unregister locations using the Runtime Audit Browser, and then register them again in the Deployment Manager. I can't imagine though that you haven't been asked by Metalink to try that if you opened a TAR for this.
In case you haven't tried this, maybe this will do the trick for you.

RTC-5008 deployment problem

I'm running Deployment Manager against repository 9.2.
A very simple mapping deploys fine (successful message both in deployment manager and runtime browser) and when I want to run it, the following error pops up:
RTC-5008: Unable do perform execution. The selected object has not been deployed. Please deploy the object and try again.
I've checked that actual package is created in target schema, I drop/deploy and it drops it, I create once again (or replace), deploy, process goes fine but once again when I want to run, I get the RTC-5008.
I tried to create a new target schema, deploy again but I still get that very same message.
Is the main runtime repository corrupted ? I do I get over that ?

The OWB client (deployment manager) and the runtime service communicate by way of queues, and to submit the execution the jobs (dbms_jobs) db packages are used. Be sure that these subsystems are in a valid state and active in your database. Other possibilities are runtime repository corruption of some sort (though I would rule this out because you have recreated the runtime repository and runtime schema and the problem persists, as I understand...).
For further investigation, the attached function is called in the package wb_rt_api_exec to obtain a task_id.
In your case it will be called as:-

Please run the query to see whether a task has been deployed that calls the given Map which has been deployed to the given Location. If this fails with no_data found, then check that the name of the Map and the location are correct.

RTC-5008 when deploying after cloning

LS,
In order to get environments in-sync, we cloned the production environment back to acceptance.
Naturally one has to unregister and re-register locations (necessary since clone provided production-locations), all OK. Also, WB_RT_SERVICE_NODES needs to be updated to point to the correct environment.
After al that I ran service_doctor.sql with following result:
All PL/SQL packages and functions are valid
Platform properties have been loaded correctly
Platform location has been seeded correctly
NLS messages have been loaded correctly
The platform service is available
When trying to execute mappings I get RTC-5008 error. Also, the status in Deployment Manager is Not Deployed for all objects. On the target database however all objects exist and are valid.
Checked table WB_RT_TASKS and WB_RT_WAREHOUSE_OBJECTS in runtime repository, they are empty!
What happens? When you unregister locations, both aforementioned tables are emptied, hence all information on deployment is gone, hence the 5008 error.
So, is there a way to update the Runtime Repository so it gives a correct reflection on the current deployment status of all deployable OWB-objects in the target schema?

Yes, re-deploying (i.e. replacing) the mappings works fine; then loading the datawarehouse is possible again. Unfortunately moving on with such an environment is much more difficult then, when you alter objects you're confronted with an unknown status. I for one would like to see a proper reflection of object-statuses.
I considered re-deploying the whole lot but I ran into some problems there.
Since all objects already exist only replace and upgrade are viable options. This works well for most objects, except for tables. Somehow the upgrade of tables always fails, where the first part (generate) succeeds but the second part (the actual deploy) fails without actually mentioning why it failed.
Unfortunately the tables contain data which we don't want to loose (hence the cloning instead of 'playing around' with the metadata), making it impossible to drop and create them.
Is there some other strategy for cloning that would make sense in my case, or some decent workaround?

Whenever I'm viewing a text message, when I try to open up the "Options" menu, I see the above message, "Text Message: Unable to execute file for security reasons". This doesn't seem to impact the functionality of the menu at all, everything seems to work.
Anyone ever come across this before?
I've updated the phone (Nokia E66) to the latest software, and I've only got one application installed other than the default base install (Google calendar sync utility), removing that doesn't change the problem.

Unable to Execute a Report to send PAN XML messages out of SNC

Hi All,
We are unable to Execute a Report /SCA/DM_TIMESERIES_OUT to send Product Activity Notifications in the form of XML messages out of SNC. We have manitained some Planned Reciepts data in SNC and would like to transfer it out to ECC.
Could anyone help in understanding if we have to maintain mandatory settings before executing this report.

As per the documentation(http://help.sap.com/saphelp_snc70/helpdata/EN/48/6bdb4767a431cbe10000000a42189d/frameset.htm), we have tried both the manual and automatic features to configure the output from SNC in the form of XML messages.
The manual method gave a message "Time series data for selection is empty" and the Automated method could trigger the XML messages on every incoming message from ECC but we are unable to see the Planned Receipts in that XML messages.
Was just wondering if we can see the Planned Receipt info by changing the settings of this report or by using any other simillar report as the PR info is very important for our development.

I am using oracle UCM 11g. When i am checking in a document, i am getting error as "Unable to execute service CHECKIN_NEW_SUB and function validateCheckinData."
In stacktrace found this is caused by:

Hi Everyone,
Whenever I install some new software in my new laptop I get this error:-
Unable To Execute Files In The Temporary Directory. Setup Aborted. Error 5: Access Is Denied.
I have tried synchronizing the clocks but it doesn't remove the problem.
These softwares work on another laptop that i have, which also runs windows 7.
Can someone please tell me the solution as this is extremely urgent.

First Candidate Solution
The issue turns out to NOT be security rights on the Temp folder
ESET Smart Security HIPS Advanced Memory Scanner is the cause

Instead, I went and turned off all the ESS protections one by one and it turned out to be HIPS that is causing this false positive.
In fact, it is the Advanced Memory Scanner option under HIPS that is causing the error, while the application in question is legit (using Inno Setup and presumably trying to write to the user temp folder, not sure whether just logs or to execute from there)
Furthermore, Smart Security logs have no entries under HIPS even though I ticked "Log all blocked operations" under the HIPS "Advanced setup" - it was quite a journey to find out the cause :)

I just want to add, that by "Temporarily disable protection" and "Temporarily disable firewall", it doesn't work. You have to disable HIPS, as KristjanL said.

Unable to execute rules twice after applying Planning 9.3.1.1.11

Hi All,
Just wondering whether someone has come across this issue.
We have just applied Planning 9.3.1.1.11 on a Windows platform.
As a result, we are unable to execute the same rule twice from within the AAS console on any client machine and get the following error:
"You must be connected to database to execute a rule."
Once we get this error we cannot exeucte any other business tules and need to log back in to the AAS console to fix the problem.
If we open up the AAS console on the AAS server, we can rule the rules as many times as we like. The error only comes up when executing a same rule from a client machine.
In Planning web we can execute any business rules multiple times. However, if a user gets the above error in the AAS console, he/she is then unable to execute rules in Planning web unless he/she logs out and logs back in.
We are using Planning 9.3.1.1.11, AAS 9.3.1.3.07 and HBR 9.3.1.1.11 on the server.
However the AAS version on the client side is 9.3.1.1.9 and I think this may be what s causing the issue.
The HBR patch for 9.3.1.1.11 is a server patch and cannot be installed on client machines. I am therefore unable to upgrade the AAS console on client machines to 9.3.1.1.11.
Has anyone come across this?

Hi John,
I worked it out last night... The readme for 9.3.1.1.11 is not very clear and I dont think it mentions patching each client.
Below are the steps:
1 - Close down the AAS console
2 - Copy the newly deployed easclientplugin.jar, cmdlnlauncher.jar and identitymigration.jar from the AAS server and paste them under Hyperion\AnalyticAdministrationServices\console\lib on your client machine. Overwrite existing files if necessary.
3 - Copy the new MigrateIdentities.bat from the AAS server and paste it under Hyperion\AnalyticAdministrationServices\console\bin on your client machine. Overwrite existing files if necessary.
4 - Log on to the AAS console and go to Help - About and ensure that the HBR version is now 9.3.1.1.11
5 - From the AAS console try and execute the same HBR twice.

If you remove the substitution variable and replace it with the actual value (whatever that is), does the code work? That will tell you if the issue is around the substitution variable or not.

Unable to alter the process. Unable to execute action start and stop

Hi,
I have setup a UCM CMS server on Linux. In the UCM instaance I setup If I go to Admin Server, the Genral configuration page contains no entry. While the file Config.cfg present in the directory Oracle/UCM/Server/Config/ contains all the entries I provided during the setup.
Now when I am trying to start/stop the UCM instance, it is giving me error " Request Failed : Unable to alter the process. Unable to execute action 'stop' on server 'EBIZ_UCM'." While If I try to restart the server using IdcServer present at the location Oracle/UCM/Server/bin/, it is getting started.
While clicking on the Component Manager, its giving error like :
" Unable to retrieve component data. Components.hda exists, but contains no data. ".
Please suggest.

I know this is an old thread, but I ran across this while having a similar problem. It turned out that I had started the admin server incorrectly (e.g. running /apps/oracle/ucm/server/admin/bin/IdcAdmin instead of /apps/oracle/ucm/server/admin/etc/idcadmin_start). Once I corrected that the problem went away.

I need to know how can we execute a OWB mapping from SQLPLUS editor or from a Stored Procedure.

You can use the MDL export/import utility for this, but as you are importing into the same repository you will end up with importing into the same project again.
So for this you can follow the workaround as:
->Take export of the required mapping from the project OWB_B
-> Rename the Project OWB_B to some thing like OWB_B_1(or any other name), note that you have to rename both logical and physical name of the project
-> Rename the project OWB_A to OWB_B and if you import the MDL all the objects will be imported to OWB_B then you can rename back the project to OWB_A
-> Finally rename the project OWB_B_1 to OWB_B (to its original name).

AirPlay certification: Unable to execute test cases 3.2.1.3 and 3.2.1.5

I'm following the test cases specified in the AirPlay Product Compliance Test R6 Document for AirPlay. I'm unable to execute the below test cases when I'm testing for airPlay certification. There is no option in the latest Airport Utility on Macbook for executing these test cases,
Is it mandatory to execute and pass these test cases? How do I do it?
3.2.1.3 Link Layer Connection 10 Mbps/Full Duplex
3.2.1.5 Link Layer Connection 100 Mbps/Full Duplex

Thank you very much for the response.
I will email you the screen shots since I can not attach them to this post.
You will see in the screen shots that I don't see either a green or red light after I have clicked on the record topic icon from UPK Developer. Even after I put focus on the title bar of the app I am recording and press the printscreen button, there is no green or red light.
But now, when I do press the printscreen button, UPK does actual record something. That is further than I have gotten before.
Before I posted the forum, I was not able to record anything after several attempts and also several re-installations. But I was told that if I don't see the green or red light, I won't be able to record anything.
I am now wondering if the use of Hypersnap 6 could be impacting UPK? I use Hypersnap a lot and when I pressed the printscreen button, Hypersnap also takes a screenshot.
My question now is whether the lack of green and red lights will impact my use of UPK?
