But I think you want to have some details about the integration.
More or less there doesn't exist any posibility to customize this.
You can define some commands like in CLP "Send Mail" but you have to write your own java code for starting ms communicator with the selected user.
On the other hand there exists from MS as well a Communicator Web Access (CWA). This is like OWA a web application. So you can integrate CWA via a URL iView.

It covers among other things QoS in the WAN and in the Campus (LAN).
In the WAN LLQ would be advisable, LAN QoS depends strongly on your swtches QoS capabilities.

Provisioning to Micorosoft Live Communication server(LCS)

Can any body please give me pointers for the Micorosoft LCS provisioning. I think We need to modify some attributes in AD to provision user to LCS. If it is right, the next question would be to know that attribute.

Yes, I don't think this is supported by Windows 2000. I don't really don't know if the workaround is to upgrade it to windows 2003 or if there's any patch available.

Please read SAP Note 928839 on how to order SQL 2005 for upgrade purposes.
(3)SQL 2005 Express Edition is only supported with the SAP Business One Evaluation Versions and only in 32 Bit mode.
(4)SQL 2005 Workgroup Edition is only supported with Windows Small Business Server (SBS) 2003 and only in 32 Bit mode

Hi,
Oracle doesn't have Lync connector . You can install the 11.x Exchange/AD connectors and after AD/Exch provisioning , you can write a task to execute your custom power shell which can set lync related attributes in AD/Exchange .

Mail for Exchange / Small Business Server

It appears that Nokia has overlooked a part of the market with its Mail for Exchange application. Apparently, M4E has difficulty communicating with Exchange if it is part of Small Business Server and a self signed certificate is used.
It would be a good idea if someone at Nokia reads this and cares to put it on a list of 'things we could do - to keep customers happy". Small Business Sever is Microsoft's Server product for up to 75 clients. That is a nice world wide market of small businesses that are known to adept quickly, unlike larger organizations.
This lack of "sweating the details" has caused me personally probably 20-30 hours, and judging from the the number of entries other people have also wasted lots of time.
In addition to the time wasted, we are now forced to purchased a commercial server certificate.

I'm looking for documents which compare
features, price etc og the database and database related development-projects
I'm looking for resources that describe the terminology used of MS and Oracle for their db's.
I'm also looking for "Feuerstein"-best-practices in MS-world.
And at last I'm looking for simple and complex scenarios comparing performance/features of these db's.
And if possible, I want them from some "independent" sources...

I think it would not be fair comparing Oracle 10g with SQL Server 2000.
So thats why I'm looking for comparison with SQL Server 2005,
but if you have something that compare Oracle 11 with SQL Server 2005,
let me hear about it :-)
The objective:
well, the last 2 years I worked with Oracle DB (tuning, pl/sql) in an serious manner.
and now I have to work with SQL Server (which I didn't work with the last 2 years),
so I'm interested in the differences.
For now it seems that many SQL Server features are primitive compared with Oracle, but Microsofts usability is much better.
O1.) But is it really more primitive or are I'm missing the nessessary experience with SQL Server? Thats some of the points I want to find out.
O2.) Analyzing our own requirements for features: when would it be better to use Oracle and when to use MS? How to make this measure-able?
Could one make an descision tree like:
when more than x users/day and clustering needed and db_size>y....
O3.) Should I promote in an environment with people only using MS-products,
promote the use of Oracle-DB? When will this be an good idea?
(I don't think it will be an good idea the other way around: moving from Oracle to MS SQL Server - or would it ;^)

Installing Live Cache Server on SCM 4.1 system

I have installed an SCM 4.1 Abap + Java System and Live cache client was installed during SCM 4.1 installation.
I would like to install Live cache server and i have problems with it.
I have downloaded the following installation guide
SAP liveCache 7.5.0 For SAP SCM Server 4.1
Document Version 1.02 u2013 April 8th, 2005
Guide tells us to use installation master CD for installating Live cache Server but note 708118 tells us to use the CD 51031447
04 Nov 05 Windows AMD64: Start Installation from liveCache CD
Start the installation of the liveCache server or client from the liveCache
CD (number 51031447) and not from the installation master CD (number
51031443)
Upon checking the cd 51031447 i see SDBINST.exe and upon clicking it i get the following screen

I went ahead with Option 0 and it asked me for Kernel file and i provided the files.
I checked logs in /sapdb/wrk directory and i see that Installation of SAP livecache finished successfully.
From LC10 i gave database connection name (LCA) and clicked on live cache monitoring and it comes back with an error

INSERTING DATA INTO A SQL SERVER 2005 TABLE, WHICH HAS A IDENTITY COLUMN

I have to insert the data into a SQL SERVER 2005 Database table.
I am able to insert the data into a normal SQL Server table.
When I am trying to insert the data into a SQL Server table, which has a identity column (i.e. auto increment column in Oracle) I am getting error saying that can't insert value explicitly when IDENTITY_INSERT is set to OFF.
Had anybody tried this??
There are some SRs on this issue, Oracle agreed that it is a bug. I am wondering if there is any workaround from any one of you (refer Insert in MS-SQL database table with IDENTITY COLUMN

Even I had raised a SR on this in October 2008. But didn't get any solution for a long time, finally I had removed the identity column from the table. I can't to that now :).
I am using 10.1.3.3.0 and MS SQL SERVER 2005, They said it is working for MS SQL SERVER TABLE, if the identity column is not a primary key and asked me to refer to note 744735.1.
I had followed that note, but still it is not working for me.
But my requirement is it should work for a MS SQL SERVER 2005 table, which has identity column as primary key.

It depends on how you want migrate, in-place or side-by-side?
In-place: Run a backup of all databases and then install the new SQL Server version
Side-by-side: Install the new SQL Server, backup all database of old SQL Server and restore them on the new one. Then copy all logins from old to new server.
