Rtmp streaming on demand video on my website problem

I set up my ams server to stream ondemand rtmp video to stream on server all is well on that side but cant get it to stream to my website need some help please.

It is hard to say why it is not working but here are couple of things you can try:
- check if swf verfication is incorrectly configured Adobe Media Server 5.0.3 * Configuring security features
- check your port configurations to verify if RTMP port 1935 is open. RTMP by default uses port 1935. Refer to Troubleshooting connection issues with Adobe Media Server | Adobe Developer Connection, and Ports and firewalls | Flash Media Server

OK - Again I'm feeling smart enough to be real dumb.
How do you stream a live video to a website. I use GoDaddy to host a website. I can plug a video camera into my Mac so I can run the video through whatever program works best. I even have a .mac account (now its mobile me I guess) and could use that. I have read several threads but can't really find a starting point. Any help is appreciated.

  • What is required in order to download "streaming" flash video from all websites?

I have tried many flash download Add-ons that work for a few websites but they do not work on all websites.
My goal is: If I can see the video on a website I would like to have the option to capture it.
I would appreciate any and all advice concerning this,
    Thank you, David

It is usually not possible to save media content that is streamed as there is no real file involved.<br />
You can only do that if a file is downloaded and possibly buffered.<br />
If the player uses a secure connection then it is not possible at all to intercept and save that content.

  • Buffering pauses and audio/video out of sync, single RTMP stream w/ simple embed

    Hello,
I am running Flash Media Server on my dedicated CentOS host, and finally connected a single RTMP stream fine and am able to embed and play back the stream, but I am getting constant buffering pauses (approx every 5 secs) and audio/video out of sync by at least 5 seconds. My CPU with Flash Live Encoder is a powerhorse, never over 25% processor or ram usage while streaming, and my upload internet speed is averaging 6-8 mbps which should be more than adequate. I fear the issue is server side, however port 1935 is open and in use, not firewalled on CPU nor the host.
    Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks for the reply, I am using embed code generated with Flash Media Playback, as follows:

  • Decompose multiple videos in single RTMP stream

    Hello,
Our back-end developer is using GStreamer to stream videos, which are then translated from an RTSP stream to an RTMP stream via Wowza.  GStreamer is combining three videos and an audio track into a single stream with metadata about each video and the audio track.  At the moment, when the stream is opened, the three videos play overtop one another.  Is it possible to decompose the three videos into individual videos/streams and play them in three separate video players? (they will be controlled together, but need to appear in separate locations onscreen.  Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • Why no streaming video from any website while running Ubuntu 11?

I am running Ubuntu 11.o4 on an AMD 64x2 System with 1TB of memory. I have tried several movie players but cannot get streaming video on ANY website. Any suggestions for a fix? It also seems to be the case with other browsers as well as FireFox (I have several on my system).

It sounds like you have flash installed.
Anyways, are you trying to play the videos in browser or in an external player? Because the Mplayer and VLC plugins wont play flash video in browser even though they can play .flv files and while Totem/Xine/Movie Player can play Youtube clips directly, it can't do it at the moment due to Google playing with their servers to keep non browsers from accessing the site. It happens every few weeks-months, have to get an updated version of Totem to play it.
Now as for Flash, Adobe's is the only official version, and the only one that's reliable for playback, but as we all know it's terribly slow, insecure and crash happy.. You can try Gnash or Lightspark as they are reverse engineered OSS Flash plugins.
Alternatively you can try the Youtube the HTML5 beta https://www.youtube.com/html5
And add marinos35's Youtube WebM search plugin http://mycroft.mozdev.org/search-engines.html?name=Youtube+WebM
Been Flash free for a while now, can't say I miss it.
You mean 1Gb of ram or 1Tb of HDD? 1Tb of ram would cost a fortune and not be compatible with any Athlon64 X2 mobo, a quad socket Opteron board maybe...

  • Reports of 17.0.0.169 with garbled sound and vid on rtmp streaming w/jwplayer?

    Hello Adobe,
I run a website that uses live streaming rtmp to the jwplayer6 video player.  Starting today, some viewers who downloaded Adobe Flash player 17.0.0.169 are getting very garbled sound and video that speeds up/slows down.  This is happening on a number of users on various platforms: Win 7, Win 8.1, Linux and various browsers; Firefox, Safari, Opera, and IE (reported so far).  Some folks are reporting it happens only on Firefox and not Chrome.  Thoughts?  How to proceed?  We are telling our users, unfortunately, uninstall the latest version of Flash and rollback.
    Frank P.

    Hi Jeromie,
I'm and end user getting disastrous garbling and speeding via Ustream Streams. One broadcaster I watch was able to almost elimate the issue by reducing the quality of the outgoing content I believe.  It would be beneficial if you contacted Ustream yourself so they can notify their subscribers of a work around.

    Hi Simon,
I'm really sorry to hear that your event may be impacted.  I'd highly recommend that you reach out to Ustream.  We would be more than happy to share technical details with them on how to configure the streams to work around the issue.  We will have a public beta available for download before your event at http://www.adobe.com/go/flashplayerbeta/, but realize that this is a sub-optimal solution.
Ustream employees can send me a private message via the forums (just click my name), and I'll be more than happy to put them in contact with an engineer that can offer guidance.
    Thanks,
    Jeromie

  • Who is blocking video Airplay for websites, is it Apple or the website?

I have to think the reason I can't share video from most websites to my TV is not due to technological limitations, but due to either Apple or the website owners themselves deliberately withholding from us this functionality. The reason I think this is because I've found a way to trick Airplay and/or the website to share the first ~15 seconds or so of the video to my TV. If you have an iPad and an AppleTV, here's how to Airplay share at least a portion of video from a website that's seemingly non-compatible for video Airplay sharing:
    1. On your iPad, go to any website with a video you'd like to watch on your TV (I tried it out on cnn.com).
    2. Tap to play the video on you iPad2.
    3. Tap to share the video to your AppleTV via AirPlay. Except for a few select sites like Vimeo and I think You Tube, you will see that you can only share the audio to your TV, not the video. I'm having you do these first three steps just to prove the video is not compatible with Airplay sharing.
    4. Now go to vimeo.com and play a video. I'm not sure this works with every video, so try out this one (don't worry, it's rated G): http://vimeo.com/14853945 When I played it I had HD selected so HD was highlighted in blue. Tap to share to your AppleTV (you should in this case be able to share both the audio and the video).
    5. Now go back to that same website you were at before, tap the same movie to play it, and then tap to share to your AppleTV over AirPlay. This time around, you'll notice that you can in fact share both the audio and the video to your TV. However, after around 15 seconds or so it kicks you off so you are no longer able to share that video to your TV.
I think that's interesting. Does anyone know why that would be? My guess is that it's because once you can share anything you want from the web to your TV, you might no longer need to receive any cable broadcast, and, as an example, if you watch CNN on your TV straight from the Web, CNN doesn't get any money from that, whereas if you watch over cable or satellite, they already have an arrangement whereby the cable/satellite providers pay royalties back to the various TV networks for the right to distribute their content to our televisions.
However, I think it's already possible to share anything from the web to your TV, even on an iPad, right? I believe that that digital AV adapter allows you to fully mirror whatever is on your iPad to your TV already, doesn't it? If that's the case, why bother blocking the functionality via Airplay when we already have the option via an HDMI hookup?
This is all very interesting to me. My stepdad thinks in ten years the broadcasting landscape will have totally changed the way we watch TV. Rather than pay Comcast or DirecTV to distribute your content, you will access your content through a tablet or other device which you would then have mirrored on your TV.
I think my stepdad's wrong. I give it two years. Two years from now I think many of us will no longer pay Comcast or DirecTV for our content, and aside from sports and news, there will no longer be a schedule for when a program is on TV. Everything will be on demand. It's pretty much that way now anyway for anyone who has a DVR.

Thanks for all of the commentary. I posted this before I received my iPad2. I now have an iPad2 and while I've successfully mirrored it to my TV, I find it useless for mirroring anything other than video (because webpages, etc. look like crap on the TV) and the mirroring only works about half the time, if that.
At least half of the time when I plug the digital AV adaptor into the back of my iPad2, I get nothing on the TV. I think this is because it's a really long HDMI cable (cuz who wants to have to sit right next to your TV?) and I run it through an HMDI hub because my TV only has one HDMI input and I need 3-4 HDMI inputs (one for my DVR, one for my AppleTV, one for my HD camera, one for my DVD player and one for my iPad if I want to mirror it, which I won't if it continues to be so inconsistent).

The idea is the same as Google Videos which allows a user to

Try clearing the Cache in Firefox.
    Tools-> Clear Recent History -> [v] Cache

Youtube may have made some changes recently. Clear the Youtube cookie and refresh page if above does not do it.

  • HT201068 why all videos from Chinese websites cannot be opened after the update??

why all videos from Chinese websites cannot be opened after the Remote Desktop Client Update 3.8.2 v1.1??

That's not a thing that can happen.  Your problem with videos is unrelated to the Remote Desktop Client Update 3.8.2 v1.1.
There were several OS updates recently as well, which could have affected video playback though.
What application do you use to play the videos?
Are the videos streaming from the internet or are they downloaded first and then played?
what format are the videos?  what file extension?

  • RTMP Stream Not Found Error

I am having difficulty with some RTMP streams and my OSMF implementation. I am attempting to play a series of RTMP streams, but for some reason, I cannot play them with OSMF (Stream not found). They play fine in JWPlayer, but I am unable to get them to play in Strobe or my OSMF Player. However, my OSMF player does play other streams. I cannot figure out what the difference is. Here is what I have:
    Demo streams:
    rtmp://cp67126.edgefcs.net/ondemand/mp4:mediapm/ovp/content/demo/video/elephants_dream/elephants_dream_768x428_24.0fps_408kbps.mp4
    rtmp://cp67126.edgefcs.net/ondemand/mediapm/strobe/content/test/SpaceAloneHD_sounas_640_500_short
    rtmp://cp67126.edgefcs.net/ondemand/mediapm/osmf/content/test/akamai_10_year_f8_512K
    Problem stream:
    rtmp://flash.delmar.cengage.com/DLvideo/00/03/32/33218.mp4
OSMF and Strobe players CAN play the demo streams.
OSMF and Strobe players CANNOT play the problem stream.
JWPlayer CAN play the problem stream and the demo streams.
I have tried setting the URLIncludeFMSApplicationInstance flag, I have tried removing the extension, and generally fiddling with the URL itself. I can change the protocol of the problem stream to 'http', and I get a progressive download which works in all players. Can anyone point me in a useful direction?

Lots of dropped frames and rebuffers. Is that a very high bitrate or wide ranging VBR? You might want to consider re-encoding.

  • Using your own AMS, how can you use BitmapData.draw() on an RTMP stream with no security exception?

We have an Adobe AIR app written in AS3 that can view live video streams from other parties.  That being said, when trying to call BitmapData.draw() on one of those remote video streams (technically we're calling ImageSnapshot.captureImage()), we're getting a 2123 error - a security sandbox exception.  I've seen a lot of people refer to a real simple configuration in the AMS that will allow this to work for RTMP streams, but they keep posting broken links, links to posts that only vaguely mention this configuration, etc.  The one thing I did find is something that I'm having trouble applying:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashMediaServer/3.5_SS_ASD/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d11a11afc9 5e-7ec3.html#WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d11a11afc95e-7fcb
Please don't just give me another link, unless it's to a quick, clear explanation.  How do you configure the AMS to allow people to capture screenshots from RTMP video streams?  For the above article, I've tried setting videoStreamAccess and audioStreamAccess both to "/", and even it didn't work.  We also need to be able to do this for P2P RTMFP streams, but that's really a different question.  Thanks.

You will get a better luck if you post this question on media server forum:

  • Live Streaming H.264 Video on iOS using AIR

We would like to build an AIR app that plays Streaming H.264 Live/VOD videos that would work through AIR on the iOS platform.
I've seem some traffic on the forums that RTMP will work to iOS - but additionally heard that video applications that use RTMP streams will be rejected by the Apple App store.
I have seen that progressive H.264 will work - but that's not streaming or live.
HLS would work if we use the StageWebView object; however, that provides us little control/monitoring over the video inside of it; and it's not "really" integrated as a video player.
For OSMF there seems to be a 3rd-Party plugin which will allow OSMF to read HLS streams - but (from what I've heard) is incomplete because it doesn't play adaptive nor is it completely updated for OSMF 1.6.1.
I would love to be wrong here - but is there currently a way to play a Streamed H.264 Video to iOS that is non-RTMP?
I've seem little information as to if F4M streamed files played via OSMF will work on iOS.
Thanks for the info in advance.
