We are receiving an RTMT alert for one of the node in the cluster.
    Error is [RTMT-ALERT] CallProcessingNodeCpuPegging.
    Processor load over 90 Percent.
Aupair (98 percent) uses most of the CPU.
Please suggest what to do for the resolution of this and also want to know what is this AUPAIR and why is it running on CCM server.

    Hi Sam,
If the CPU pegging alert is reported at some specific time of the day then it is most likely due to some scheduled activity like DRS Backup, CDR Load etc. Please check the following link
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_tech_note09186a00808ef0f4.shtml
    CPU Pegging Alerts
CPUPegging/CallProcessNodeCPUPegging alerts monitor CPU usage based on       configured thresholds:
    Note: %CPU is calculated as %system + %user + %nice + %iowait + %softirq +           %irq
    Alert messages include these:
    %system, %user, %nice, %iowait, %softirq, and %irq
The process that uses the most CPU
The processes that wait on Uninterruptible disk           sleep
CPU Pegging alerts can come up in RTMT due to higher CPU usage than       what is defined as the watermark level. Since CDR is a CPU intensive       application when it loads, check if you receive the alerts in the same period       as when the CDR is configured to run reports. In this case, you can need to       increase the threshold values on RTMT. Refer to       Alerts for more information about RTMT alerts.

  • RTMT sending false Alarms?

    Hello,
We have randomly receiving following alerts on RTMT
    MGCP DChannel is out-of-service
Number of registered gateways decreased in consecutive polls.
Number of registered gateways increased between consecutive polls.
    We have,
    CUCM: 9.1.2.11008-1
    Voice Router: 15.1(2) T1
I log into the router and the controllers/ports show no errors on that PRI.
I checked isdn service, status and logs but still no sign of down.
Also we can see active calls on that PRI from RTMT.
    Is RTMT sending false Alarms?

RTMT is probably not sending false alarms. What level do you have your logging set to?

  • Is RTMT can monitor when the first Route Group of a Route List is not used ?

    Hi everyone,
I want to find how monitor this event in RTMT without success. I hope someone will have an idea to suggest !
    My problem :
I have one Route List (RL_Remote) wich is used to route calls between two sites. This Route List has two Route Group :
    - the first is a SIP trunk connected to my remote site (RG_SIP)
    - the second is a local route group wich used PSTN (RG_PSTN) [BACKUP]
Is it possible that RTMT sends me an alarm when calls are routing via RL_Remote but are not using RG_SIP ?
In fact, I want to receive an alarm as soon as the Backup Route Group (RG_PSTN in my example) is used.
    Thanks for your help !
    Have a nice day,
    Franck-Emanuel

    More or less correct yes:
    Core Issue
This issue can occur if an available route is not found in the indicated route list.
If  the call fails on the current gateway, Cisco CallManager attempts to  extend the call to the next route in the route list. This occurs until  it reaches the last route. If the call cannot be completed with the last  gateway, the Route List Exhausted event is logged.
These are possible reasons for a failure on the current gateway:
Unallocated number, such as a non-existing destination
    Busy user
    Out of bandwidth
Gateway fails to respond to the call setup request
The user receives alerts similar to this in the Real-Time Monitoring Tool (RTMT):
Most  Recent Alert Raised: At 09:19:27 on 12/21/2005 on cluster  CALLMANAGER1-Cluster. Number of RouteListExhausted events exceed 0  within 60 minutes.
There  are at least five RouteListExhausted events (up to 30) received during  the monitoring interval from 09:07:27, 12/21/2005 to 10:07:27,  12/21/2005.

  • RTMT ALERTS FOR CCM

Getting the following alert in the call manager in the RTMT for low water mark exceeded, my experience tells setting the log alert value to a lower level helps on the issue , but not sure. Can somebody guide on this.

    Abhishek,
Looks like the lower threshold for UsedDiskSpace is set at around 60% & that's why the alert has raised. Keeping it at 75-80% is also fine. All it means is whenever 75-80 % of disk space is full, give an alert. I feel alert at 60% is too low or can be ignored.

  • RTMT Authentication Failed

    We are currently seeing lots of 'authentication failed' alarms in RTMT such as;
    TimeStamp : 4/19/13  12:12 PM
    LoginFrom :  10.58.52.141
    Interface : VMREST
    UserID : john.gill
    AppID : Cisco Tomcat
    ClusterID :
    NodeID : BIR-UC-UNITY01
    TimeStamp : Wed Apr 19  12:12:48 BST 2013
These are all for different users, when contacting the user they say that they havent tried to access their voicemail
I have tried to generate an 'authenticxation failed' alert myself by intentionally entering the wrong voicemail pin
and there is not alert generated in RTMT
Any ideas why we are getting so many of these 'authentication failed' alarms in RTMT ?
    Thank You

    Bump...
Anyone figure out how to solve this?  I've seen some articles referencing changing LDAP configs from 389 to 3268.
    Appreciate any thoughts?

  • [RTMT-ALERT] DirectoryConnectionFailed - CM 4.1(3)SR8

    hi
continually getting alert after configuring RTMT relating to Directory Connection even though everything appears ok.
    [RTMT-ALERT] DirectoryConnectionFailed
    Directory connection failed .
Monitored precanned object has value of 0.
my callmanager cluster is integrated into our active directory so not using DC directory and i am wondering if this
alert relates only to DC directory??
If it does i will disable it, however, if it also monitors the connection to active directory then i want to leave it enabled.
Everything looks ok on the callmanagers.
    Cheers,
    G

it should be fixed on your version but since you mention it's all good

  • UCCX-RTMT-ALERT- After Upgradation of UCCX from 8.0.2 to 8.5 SU2.

    Hello
After upgradation of UCCX from 8.0.2 to 8.5 SU2 we are receiving below RTMT error which says critical. Any ideas ?
At XXX 02 08:37:27 EDT 2012 on node XXX-IPCC01, the following SyslogSeverityMatchFound events generated:

    Cisco Syslog Agent ClusterID :
    NodeID : XXX-IPCC0
    Thanks
    Payal

    Hi Payal,
Did this happen while running the UCCX backup?
    If yes, I see a defect CSCtn93085-
    Symptom:
During a backup of UCCX, the LDAP Monitor Service is temporarily stopped.  This is normal behavior,
but a severity 2 alarm is being generated in the SysLog.  The alarm makes it appear that the service
    stopped unexpectedly or crashed.
    Workaround:
Ignore alarms regarding the LDAP Monitor Service that appear during the timeframe of a UCCX backup.
    Thanks,
    Anand

  • RTMT Alert - SDLLinkOutOfService

We currently have 1-Publisher and 4-Subscribers.  We were told by TAC to turn Call Manager Services off of the Publisher and are now receiving SDLLinkOutOfService alerts on RTMT.  We are trying to determine if we should just disable the alarm on the Publisher in RTMT or if there is a reason to leave this on and determine what could be causing the alarm.
    Thanks,

  • RTMT-ALERT PEPeerNodeFailure

    Hi Folks!
We have three Unified Presence Nodes running with Systemversion 8.6.4.12900-2. Since I enabled RTMT Email Alerts, I get the follogin Alert from time to time from different nodes (not always the same). Strange think is, that if I check service via serviceability interface, it is up and running without a new downtime:
    [RTMT-ALERT-StandAloneCluster12487] PEPeerNodeFailure
    PEPeerNodeFailureAlarmMessage : Node pe54005002: OUT-OF-SERVICE
AppID : Cisco UP Presence Engine

The alarm is generated on Fri Mar 15 09:59:00 CET 2013.
Hope someone can help me in this.
    Thanks.

    Thanks Rene,
We also experienced a network fail-over that seemed to kick off all our problems. After the CUP servers replicated and started migrating users, the nodes would reach high Virtual Memory and CPU and the processes would either crash or the servers would hang.
during after hours we were able to at least stabalize the servers so they weren't crashing (still had high VirtualMemory and SWAP) with some speradic CPU util, and that's when we noticed the "split Brain" effect.
Based on your suggestion Rene, we looked at the trace settings and noticed all were set to debug. We turned them all off and restarted the CUP XCP Config manager, and then CUP XCP Router on the Sub node. the Sub node came back up and we were able to see status and IM to user one the PUB.  After a few days of a working scenario we restart the CUP XCP Config and CUP XCP Router on the PUB, which restored virtualmemory and SWAP back to a normal operating conditions.

  • RTMT Displaying Critical Service Down, However The Cluster is Stable.

    Hi All,
    Need a little ?
I have a CUCM Cluster consisting of 1 x Pub & 1 x Sub in a Dev Enviroment, we recently installed RTMT and noticed we get the following alarms
    for the Pub and Sub.
Alert Name = Critical Service Down,     Severity = Critical,     Description = Service Status Down SNMP Master Agent
Alert Name = Critical Service Down,     Severity = Critical,     Description = Service Status Down Cisco Messaging Interface SNMP Master Agent
The alarms are genegrated every minute and is really annoying. Can't figure out why we keep getting this as the Cluster appears to be fuctioning ok.
Is there anyway to put a Halt to the alarms?
Please see my attached screenshot any help is appreciated.
    Regards
    Charles

These are precanned alerts for Critcal Service Down alarms in RTMT.  The SNMP Master Agent and CMI services that are listed here are considered critical services; however, they would not typically have any impact on system performance.  In fact, if you don't use SNMP then you wouldn't need the SNMP Master Agent service activated or started.  So, I believe the likely scenario here is that all of the services in the cluster are activated but not all of them are started.  In other words, you may have activated everything and then selectively started the services you need.  I believe if you deactivate the specific services referenced, you should stop getting these alerts.
