RTMT trace read.

Hi Techizzz,
Is there any documents for the RTMT trace read(like key words and how to read the trace). If anything have please share.
Thanks in advance.

The link was good looks like you were copying my name along the URL. I have corrected that.
If you go through the link it will give you a start. As both Brian (+5) and Java has pointed you will need to learn reading the traces. Start from either a lab if you have (so there is not a lot of call traffic) or pick up a quiet time when there are not too many calls - make a call and then try to interpret that call. You will start to get familiar with the traces.
If this solves your queries please mark the thread as answered.

  • Trace This: Call Manager RTMT

    Cisco Forum:
    By any chance, might you know what the RTMT trace files reasons are for the below?  I'm chasing a called Directory Number for which the IP Phone does not ring and the call goes directly to Unity Connection voicemail.  The end user says the phone is not forwarded, etc.  It just does not ring then they get the MWI of a new message.
    The RTMT trace shows the call seemingly pointed to the DN but immediately forwarding to voicemail.  Between the two occurrences are the line items below.  I've yet to produce a Google search that defines what "2" (or another other digits) might be regarding the reason for the call redirection.
    Thank you for your comments.

    Hi Dan,
    Here are the Reason Codes for Busy, CFNA & CFWDALL. It looks like the user was on the phone
    when a call came in and went directly to voicemail. I just tested these out and captured them as I went
    along. Sometimes the MWI can be slightly delayed so this is a pretty common question from users.

  • Issues in RTMT

    Hi All,
    I have an issue with my RTMT, when I tried to pull the logs for the particular time say 9:00 to 11:00, I am receiving only one file and that file has the traces starts from 13:00. This is one example only, what I mean to say is I am not getting the traces for the requested time. Please suggest.
    Thanks,
    Lajith

    Hi Lajith,
    This is probably because the traces are not present for the time 9.00 - 11.00. The only traces present are from 13.00. This could be because the traces got overwritten due to the volume of calls.
    To confirm  whether RTMT is making a mistake, I suggest you list the trace files present on the server by using the CLI.
    Go into CLI
    admin: file list activelog cm/trace/ccm/sdi(sdl)/ date detail
    This command will give you the details of the CCM trace files present and the time that they were written.
    For the location of all other trace files, here's a document. https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/65651/communications-manager-rtmt-trace-locations-cli
    What is the CUCM version? By default, in 9.x, the CCM traces are in detailed mode.

  • Unable to see custom Trace messages in Log Viewer which were defined in UDF

    Hello Experts, I am not able to see my trace messages in Log Viewer. I have a small user defined fuction which takes a variable and returns its uppercase and while do that it writes few warning level trace messages in the trace file. I've tried changing the levels from Warning to Info but I still don't see anything in my Log Viewer. At this point I am not even sure if I am looking at right place. When I test my mapping in Message Mapping's Test tab it works fine and shows me all my trace messages. But when I do end to end it is not writing anything to the trace file. I've tried to use instructions from following blogs:
    1. /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2007/04/30/xipi-personalized-logging-tracing(logging and tracing)
    2. /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/05/10/xi-i-cannot-see-some-of-my-messages-in-the-sxmbmoni (logging and tracing)
    3. /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/02/25/simple-java-code-in-graphical-mapping--xi(for my UDF)
    but I still don't see traces in my Log Viewer. Please let me know if I am doing anything wrong here.
    Thanks in advance!!

    Thank you Prateek for a quick response.
    Yes I was able to see my trace messages in SXMB_MONI. Below is my the info... This is great. I am still not sure why this info is not showing up in Log Veiwer's (default trace) window. Any ideas? Since this XML file contains lots of other information I was wondering how to put my trace messages into the log viewer.
    Thanks!!

  • How can i read multiple email accounts?

    hi,
    my program is to get emails from multiple email accounts, and grab the attachments, but it doesn't work properly.
    If there's only one email account, it works fine, but if there are more, it looks like that the program always goes into the first mail account to read the messages. i suspect that the 'Server' or the 'Session' are not reset before each connection, i printed out the connected 'Folder', it looks fine, but every time the 'Folder.getMessageCount()' returns the same number of messages as the first email account has.
    Here's my code:
    // this is to get the folder, mostly 'inbox'
    // serverString is like: "protocol://username@host/foldername"
    // all parameters are retrieved from the Database
    public static Folder getMailFolder(String serverString, String username, String password) throws Exception {
            // URLName server = new URLName("protocol://username@host/foldername");

    Assuming you're passing in the right URL, I don't see the problem.
    Still, try change session.getDefaultInstance to session.getInstance
    and see if that helps. If not, turn on session debugging and check the
    protocol trace for clues. If you still can't figure it out, post the protocol
    trace.

  • How can I live trace a hand sketch line work and cut from background to apply to new coloured backgr

    I placed a hand drawn scanned photo of artwork to illustrator cs4 in an attempt to trace the lines and remove from paper and add the line drawing to a brochure artwork. this to give illusion of an old artist's manuscript with drawings. first attempt with the psd file in trying to apply trace as a "hand drawn " method crashed illustrator. I tried again and used ink drawing which came out blotchy. Tried simple trace and got a warning that the file was too large. I'm thinking that the drawing itself is very soft and the paper around it is grainy and dim. I had tried to brighten   and lighten in the scan mode.I did get it as far as a trace at one point and used outline stroke but then couln't fill in the lines or cut it out. I have taken it to photoshop and drew a pen selection around the soft lines and used a transparent background on it, hoping to stroke it in illustrator and drag it off over to the brochure template .But didn't try it yet. I also just made the resolution 250 and the size document to 6 x 9 in approx. But now am fearful of another experiemental attempt. Am I on the right track or is there another method to bringing in a line drawing that is not defined well and getting it to trace and remove from it's background to apply onto the illustrator document being worked on. I have done placing and tracing before but not a line work. Any suggestions that won't crash my program would be welcome. As an artist I will want to do this again and again so want to know the proper method or what I am missing. I've been using illustrator for 7 months now.

    Maybe Li[ve trace] is not t]he way[ to go
    I have some suggestion one leave it as is and use a blending mode of multiply to give it a color background like this
    leave it as is make it a grayscale tiff import int Illustrator and color it it in Illustrator like this
    Or trace over it with the brush tool aand then give it a color ground.
    Or do the original over and do a cleaner job with no tone or a minimum of tone. Then Live trace.

  • CCM 3.3(3) and RTMT issues

    With CCM 3.3(3) with 1 publisher, and 2 subscriber servers the RTMT Callmanager Cluster info properties, the info for the 2nd subscriber does not report back in RTMT tool on the cluster info window. It saids "Error" next to most values but the first 2 in list report back ok.
    The info from the servers displays fine.
    Also, if you launch RTMT from the problem subscriber and click the info button the RTMT server version is empty.
    So like it can't access data on this server, but this happens when you RTMT locally on the subscriber or remotely with IE over web. You can view all performance counters fine in RTMT on this server, it's just the cluster info window and RTMT version info, and processor summary window.
    Regular windows performance monitor appears fine, can pull up counters fine.
    CCM 3.3(3)sr4a
    OS 2000.4-2sr7
    RTMT client version 3.3(0.21)
    RTMT server version is 3.3.2.0
    This has been an issue for awhile, even before OS updates from 2000.2-7 to 2000.4-2. Not sure if RTMT ever worked fine on this.

    you can goto the subscriber that is not seeming to report back all properties then perform the following:
    open PERFMON and setup counters to view your statistics for the properties in question there.
    if perfmon can see the counters but RTMT cannot,then i'd consider looking at RTMT as the problem.
    if perfmon cannot see the counters then i'd look into the perfmon counters on that system. (this is what RTMT uses)

  • Agent10g: Size of Management Agent Log and Trace Files get oversize ...

    Hi,
    I have the following problem:
    I had installed the EM Agent10g (v10.2.0.4) on each of all my Oracle servers. I've done a long time ago (a few months or a few years depending on wich server it was installed). Recently, I've got PERL error because the "trace" file of the Agent was too big (the emagent.trc was more than 1 Gb) !!!
    I don't know why. I checked on a particular server on the AGENT_HOME\sysman\config (Windows) for the emd.properties file.
    The following properties are specified in the emd.properties file:
    LogFileMaxSize=4096
    LogFileMaxRolls=4
    TrcFileMaxSize=4096
    TrcFileMaxRolls=4
    This file had never been modified (those properties correspond to the default value). It's the same situation for all Agent10g (setup) on all of the Oracle Server.
    Any idea ?
    NOTE: The Agent is stopped and started weekly ...
    Thank's
    Yves

    Why don't you truncate the trace file weekly. You can also delete the file. The file will be created automatically whenever there is a trace.

    I am consistently getting a premature EOF exception when trying to read from a BufferedInputStream.
    The stack trace, if captured ends up in the ChunkedInputStream reader.
    I have tried a variety of request header settings to no avail.
    Connection: close
    Connection: Keep-Alive
    etc...
    Any comments are welcome
    Thanks for reading and considering
    Kurt

    We are using the HttpURLConnection. If I have to go down the stack to the Socket object, well I guess I have to re event the wheel so to speak.
    I have tried both Connection: close and Connection: Keep-Alive. Not at the same time :) but in different intrim releases of test applet.
    // Here is the current incarnation of how I am trying to connect.
    URL url = new URL(sURL);
    trace("attempting to connect to URL: " + sURL, DEBUG);
    connection = (HttpURLConnection)url.openConnection();
    connection.setDoOutput(true);
    connection.setDoInput( true );
    connection.setRequestMethod("POST");
    connection.setUseCaches( false );
    connection.setInstanceFollowRedirects( true );
    connection.setAllowUserInteraction( false );
    connection.setRequestProperty("Pragma", "no-cache");
    connection.setRequestProperty("Expires", "-1");
    connection.setRequestProperty("Connection", "Keep-Alive");
    connection.connect();
    // Now I write our form POST data and flush and close the output stream.
    BufferedOutputStream bos = new BufferedOutputStream(connection.getOutputStream());
    bos.write(sForm.getBytes());
              bos.flush();
    bos.close();
    // Get the input and read
    bis = new BufferedInputStream(connection.getInputStream());
    trace( "reading input stream for action: " + sAction );
    byte[] responseBuffer = new byte[4096];
    int bytesRead = 0;
    while( (bytesRead = bis.read( responseBuffer, 0, responseBuffer.length )) != -1 )
    sbResponse.append( new String( responseBuffer, 0, bytesRead ));
    totalBytesRead += bytesRead;
    catch (Throwable e)
    e.printStackTrace();
    try
    m_connections.remove( sAction );
    connection.disconnect();
    catch ( Throwable t ) {}
    finally
    if ( bis != null )
    try
    bis.close();
    catch( Throwable t ) {}
    With the above code in place what I am now seeing, as opposed to a premature EOF exception, is blocking behavior on the read.

  • Citadel 5 Database: Asymmetry in Read and Write; Database Subfolders

    Hi,
    I just started using DSC module of LabVIEW and related architecture such as Citedal Database for several days. This might be a trivial issue with easy fix but I could not find documention about this.
    When wrting a trace in the databas, a "subfolder" for the PC I am using is automatically generated. It seems that I have no access to the name of the subfolder for the trace I want to write. When reading, it seems I do not have access to the "process" or the "subfolder".
    In the attached screenshot: I would like to write an entry to the database that I copied from other PC (the red line), but it is the black line being established. Similar situation happens for trace reading. When I tried to read the green database, it is the blue being read, except I manually delete the blue database.

    Greetings pai193387
    I reproduced your issue on my end. Because of the way Citadel organizes data I could not find a way to just keep working on the process that was started in a different computer. So my suggestion is to read all the data from the process and rewrite it on a new trace and then keep working on the new trace.
    Alternatively, it is better to keep small traces separate; in case there is a corruption you don’t lose too many data at a time.
    Let us know if you have additional questions or if you find a better solution.
    Warm Regards,

  • Disabling oracle trace in udump

    Is there a way to disable this udump trace files?. I am using oracle 10g and i have set the following in init.ora
    sql_trace=false
    trace_enabled=false
    oracle_trace_enable=FALSE
    But still for every connection and query, trace file is getting generated

    Maybe it's not instance level setting.. Consider following example:
    SQL> SHOW PARAMETER trace
    NAME                                 TYPE        VALUE
    log_archive_trace                    integer     0
    sec_protocol_error_trace_action      string      TRACE
    sql_trace                            boolean     FALSE
    trace_enabled                        boolean     FALSE
    tracefile_identifier                 string
    SQL> SELECT spid FROM v$process p, v$session s
      2   WHERE s.paddr = p.addr
      3   AND s.sid = (SELECt sid FROM v$mystat WHERE rownum = 1);
    SPID
    19935Then I'm checking if my session generates trace files:
    [oracle@OEL5 trace]$ ls -la *19935*
    ls: *19935*: No such file or directoryNothing.
    SQL> exec dbms_session.session_trace_enable(TRUE, TRUE);
    Procedura PL/SQL zosta│a zako˝czona pomyťlnie.
    SQL> SELECT sysdate FROM dual;
    SYSDATE
    09/07/14
    SQL>
    [oracle@OEL5 trace]$ ls -la *19935*
    -rw-r----- 1 oracle oinstall 2777 Jul 14 17:13 ORA111_ora_19935.trc
    -rw-r----- 1 oracle oinstall  127 Jul 14 17:13 ORA111_ora_19935.trm

  • Tkprof : 0  user  SQL statement in trace file

    Hello!
    Please explain , what is difference of tkprof-converting of user session trace file and an internal/background process ?
    Get I message "0 user SQL statement in trace file" cause this difference?
    In my target session I issued :
    begin
    sys.dbms_system.set_ev(...., .., 10046, 12, '');
    end;
    begin
    sys.dbms_system.set_ev(..., .., 10053, 1, '');
    end;
    /Thanks and regards,
    Pavel

    Did you try to tkprof a 10053 trace ?
    That is not going to show anything. 10053 traces are meant to be read as they are. tkprof is there to deal with 10046 traces.

    If you read the bottom of the note, it mention the bug: 4529700 -- Trace File Created During Rman Database Backup and in that note: it gave an example content of the file. You probably refereed to another bug: 4596065, which generated an empty trace.

  • Reading Mount Information getting Error 5 Access is Denied

    Dear SAPgurus,
    I am trying to install SAP ECC 5 IDES version from windows server 2003 OS, the central instance installation is giving error "Access is Denied" While reading mount information for C:\.
    While my windows server 2003 is installed on drive D. I am having windows Vista on Drive C:\ which is preloaded while buying laptop.
    I am logged in as Built-In Administrator user id.
    The message in the log looks like this:
    Trace
    reading mount information for 'C:/
    Error 2007-11-06
    FSL-06002 Error 5 (Access is denied) in execution of a 'FindFirstVolumeMountPoint' function, line (439), with parameter (
    ?\Volume(e0eeecd3-8a43-11dc-bda5-806e6f6e6963)\)
    Error
    MOS-01235 Module function getInfo of module CIA0smount failed.

    I have the same problem.
    I bought my machine with Vista preloaded. I installed Windows 2003 on it. - using a fresh 2003 Enterprise Server Windows 2003 disk.
    Now, While installing the SAP R/3 4.7x, I am getting the same error. Do you all think that I should add the permissions to SAP id's and then try. I am doing all the work as the system administrator. I also gave full permissions to all the drives. But one thing I did not do is to create partitions.
    I have C: Drive and H Drive.
    I installed my Windows 2003 on H drive and I now want to install SAP on the C drive. Would that be a problem.
    Here are my details:
    Machine: 2003 Enterprise
    RAM: 5 GB ( Yes, It is 5 )
    Hard Drive: SATA RAID Intel
    Partitions: C: ( 220GB) and H: 10GB
    Database: Oracle 9.2.1 with patches
    SAP: 4.7x
    I keep getting the Access denied error all the time.
    Please help.
    SAPuser.
