RTX 4088 base led never blinks

Hello all,  I am having an issue with my 4088 phones, I have like 2 years using it without issues, for some reason I had to store the base and the phones for 1 month Now when I connected them today I noticed all phones are requesting to be registered, that is not a problem, the real problem is that something seems to be wrong, I cconnect the power cable to the base and even the network is not connected after some seconds the led is turned on, and it is not blinking ... I tried to use the reset button pressing and holding it for more than 30 seconds and it doesnt blink... I tried to register my 3 phones but they cannot do that, I remember first I had to reset the base and then wait, some seconds, and then press reset button one more time to register the phones, but now that procedure is not working, so I cannot register them..  Any idea? Do you know if I can buy only the base?  

I finally got a reply from Chat and Vision:
"We have received an update from the relevant department and according to them, due to the long repair time & high cost of postage plus repairing cost, we will not suggest to repair the phone on your cost. Also, we do not have base station sell separately."
So essentially, if you buy an RTX phone and it malfunctions one day after the warranty period is over, you are screwed with a $100 paperweight (albeit a light one.) The DualPhone has turned out to be a lemon, and the U.S. retailer's tech support and customer service leave a lot to be desired.
Essentially, Skype should be looking for other options, regarding hardware. And since Skype is now Microsoft, and Microsoft has proven to be very accomplished in its embrace of hardware manufacturing (I am the proud and admiring owner of both a Surface 2 Pro tablet and a Nokia Lumia 1020 phone,) why doesn't Microsoft start making Skype phones, instead of leasing out these devices to unreliable manufacturers?

  • RTX 4088 Access over router/network?

    I recently bought the RTX 4088 Skype cordless phone.   On initial setup, everything went fine, connected to skype and the router, placed calls, did the firmware upgrade, everything went smoothly.  However...
    I went to re-register the handset to the base station and it will no longer connect.  I have done the following without success:
    pulled the batteries from the handset to reset
    drained and recharged the handset while the base station was off
    used the reset handset function in the handset menu.
    powercycled the router
    tried several times on the handset screen to register
    unplugged the base station from power for a few days
    I used to use the Freetalk adaptor.  With that device, it would show in the network map under windows 7 or I could go to the IP directly to gain access to the hardware menu.
    The RTX4088 does not do any of the above.   Does someone know if there is a menu I can access from my web browser, and if so, how do I gain access to it.
    Alrternatively, does anyone have any other tips for me to try?  I really don't want to return it back to HongKong to ChatAndVision as that will leave me without a device for more than a month.

    Not possible contacting Handset to basestation. No coneection via router to internet.
    Not working skype and even landline calls. Totally worthless.
    No after sales service. Returning this equipment is too expensive (40 Euro) and too complicated caused by custom rules and forwarding.
    I have contacted skype and chat and vision.
    No one capable enough to take decisions only bla bla bla.
    I will quit in future with skype and search for a better solution.
    I'm sure this message will not stay very long here.
    Skype will not accept critical meanings.

  • Power Injector AIR-PWRINJ1500-2 LEDs Continously blinking

    Hi,
    I am facing a strange problem with the AIR-PWRINJ1500-2.
    At times the injector behaves perfectly fine but once Switched Off & again Powered On, all 3 LEDs, never become stable & blink continuously.
    Has someone seen such a behavior ? Pls, share.

    My understanding is the power injector is not supported for the 1552CU and your only powering options are the following:
    1552C/1552CU
    • 40-90 VAC, 50-60 Hz, quasi-square wave, Power over Cable
    • 12 VDC

  • Phone turns off and led light blinks wont turn back on

    I have the 8100 and have had it for about 2 weeks I bought it off line since my old phone broke. This morning I took it off my charger and went to a meeting after the meeting I looked at my phone and the led light was blinking I hit a button and nothing happened. I then tried to turn the phone back on but nothing happened. I removed the battery waited 5 minutes then put it back in and it started to work again. But again the same thing happened. I tried this multiple times but nothing change it still went back after a few minutes. I took the battery out sim card and memory card out for an hour then put them back in and the same thing happened. Has anyone had this happen before and is there anything I can do for it. Again after I turn my phone on it "shuts off" the led light blinks like I have a message but I ca not do anything the only way to get it out of this is to remove the battery and put it back in but it reverts back to this in a few minutes. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

    Leave the device to charge 2-3 hours, and then, still connected to the USB cable, remove the the battery from the device a few seconds and reinsert it. If it boots--leave it to charge to 100% (check Options > Status for the percentage).
    If it doesn't boot--try using a wall outlet charger if you are not. If you are connected via USB to the PC, make certain that you have Desktop Manager (or the USB device drivers) installed, which you can download below.
    Make certain your USB cable is connected to one of the PC's main rear USB ports. Not a USB hub, nor a monitor USB port, nor a USB port on the front of the PC.

  • MacBook Pro won't turn on after crash. Magsafe charger LED light blinking rapidly

    Hi. I hope you can help me.
    I have a macbook Pro 13", from september 2012, which crashed earlier today:
    I was charging my iphone through USBport on my macbook (not an Apple USB-iPhone power-cable) .
    My MacBook was charging through the magsafe charger (about 30% power i think).
    I took the phone out to make a call, when that was done, I reconnected the phone to my mac for further charging.
    My MacBook crashed instantly. I took out the USB cable, tried to turn on my mac, but nothing happened. There was no light in the magsafe LED.
    The crashing has happened before, when I've been charging my phone through USB connections, but I've always been able to turn my mac back on.
    This time nothing happened when I pushed the power button. It had comepletely shorted out.
    BTW. Earlier today I received a "storage almost full" warning on my mac, and I was actually in the middle of cleaning that up (deleting downloads and trash files).
    Typical and just my luck!
    Now, a few hours later, I tried restoring SMC (shift+ctrl+alt+power), and now the charger LED is blinking rapidly (but faintly) orange.
    Do you have any ideas on how to fix this? All applestores nearby are closed today, I live in Denmark.

  • RTX 4088 not ringing when called using online numb...

    I have read a lot of posts some with solutions( that don't work) and others stating that this is a known skype issue.
    Firstly i have just bought my second cordless phone, RTX 4088, nice phone but wont ring when anyone rings me on my online number. This is hit and miss, works some days others not. Actually doesn't work most of the time.
    I had a long chat with skype support and did as a another post suggested deleted an xml file, changed some settings and sat about for 5 minutes, this didn't work.
    I did get it to work by doing a full reset on the phone, this fixed it temporarily. 15minutes later.
    RTX support is useless, they said contact skype and skype said contact them....
    I am pissed at skype over this, no public notice that this is a bug and no real solution. Online numbers are pointless if your phone wont ring when someone calls. You may as well buy a €6 corded phone and leave your computer on because thats the only calls i can receive. Dont spend th €90 euro for a fancy phone that just answers skype to skype calls.
    Skype please fix this bug and stop giving us the run around.....

    That is a relatively old Windows software version. The current version is 6.9.0.106
    TIME ZONE - US EASTERN. LOCATION - PHILADELPHIA, PA, USA.
    I recommend that you always run the latest Skype version: Windows & Mac

  • RTX 4088 dualphone Problem

    My RTX 4088 dualphone serial number is 0003070700865. I can clearly hear the voice from the caller but my voice can not be heard clearly at the other end. I have made a reset and firmware update already but the pronlem still persist. This problem is true to Skype calls and landline cslls.

    Some minutes after getting a message (I think any message - sms, BBM, email...), red led stops blinking. Is this okay or is there something wrong? I have a Q10.

    With the Z10, it does stop after a few minutes, and it is done on purpose to save battery life

  • Hp pavillion dv7-3065 laptop will not turn on - led light blinks, ac's light on?

    HP Pavillion dv7-3065 with Windows 7.
    I fell asleep two days ago, and when I woke up yesterday, my laptop was off. (The battery very well may have died while I was sleeping, or just shut off on its own. I don't know which.) I tried turning it on, but nothing happened... except for the lightning bolt (LED light) blinking three times. No noises inside, blank screen, nothing aside those three blinks.
    For the record, I've already tried removing the battery. I've also tried removing the battery, removing the AC cord, and holding in the power button for 30+ seconds. It didn't work.
    I've tried removing the battery and running off AC. This still doesn't work. However, the laptop recognizes that it's plugged in; the little light by it is consistantly on. I've also tested my laptop with another AC adapter just to be safe. Nothing.
    My laptop has been tested without harddrive/etc, but I'm still at a blank. I don't know what else to do. My boyfriend, who's in school to be an IT, took it into his teacher, who messed around with it, and came up with a few conclusions.
    He believes that because the lights are flashing, he's confidant that my motherboard is fine. He said to replace the battery, and if that doesn't work, solder the ...I forgot what exactly, but basically it's the charging connection. I forget what exactly. My apologies there.
    However... I feel like replacing the battery would be a waste of money... Because regardless of battery, the laptop should still turn on with the AC cord. My boyfriend intends to bring this up and ask if he can just skip to the other thing anyway, but he doesn't have that class again for a week, and I'm at a loss of what else to do. Aside from that, his teacher says there's a limited number of other things that could be wrong...
    I was hoping to get some more input...

    I have the same problem! Except I did manage to get mine to turn on. After doing the hold the power down thing. Nothing happened. I did leave the lap top on cause I was irritated and walked away, about an hour later it came on. It let me turn it on and off a few times. Then stopped. Then leaving it sit on stopped working too

    My Harddisk LED is blinking about once every second. This is not really a critical problem, but it's just annoying me cause it's clearly too often.
    I read the topic https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=765666 but none of the suggested worked here.
    Can't identify a process with iotop and vmstat does not notice these accesses either.
    Further I have noatime and now even commit=60 in my fstab.
    I tried to stop all daemons, exept network and ssh I need to connect, and stopped X but it had no effect. Lastly I killed systemd-udevd, without effect.
    I use ext4, this may be the problem ?

    Unfortunately, no luck. I tried what you suggested:
    iotop -Pao doesn't register these flickers.
    It shows jbd2/sda3-8 but not that often, I would say it's fine.
    It's only a very short flickering, I can't hear anything. So, I don't know if there's really something written...
    I tried removing defaults first and even put barriers=0 in but it had no effect...
    Dunno, it's strange...

  • StoragEdge 3510 FC HDD LEDs are blinking continuously

    I am facing problem with Sun StoragEdge 3510FC with 146x12 and 2 arrays of RAID -5.
    Problem Descrp: After upgrading Firmware from 3.27r to 413c. the HDD LEDs are blinking continuously but this problem is started after upgrading the New Firmware.
    Please let me know if anyone knows the solution.

    Sounds like the 'media scan' functionality of the new firmware. You can check its running with show media scan from sccli. You can also abort it if you wish

  • Sony TV KDL-60W840B Red LED is blinking 2 times and TV wont turn on

    Hi, I have a Sony TV KDL-60W840B which I bought 13 months ago for the world cup soccer (gift for my husand).     If a Red LED is blinking and the TV is not working properly it means that the TV has detected an issue or problem. Most Red LED blink conditions require service. The meaning of the blink codes differs between TV models,

    If these articles do not resolve the issue, the problem is most likely related to an internal component that must be replaced and service will be required. Begin the procedure to send your Sony product into a Sony facility to be repaired.

    I tried to replace the ink cartage with three brand new original Cyan 88XL ink cartages.
    The LED still blinking and my printer still not working.

    Welcome to the HP Forums.
    I see that you are having an issue with blinking lights on the printer.
    I do have a few steps that we can try in the attempt to troubleshoot this issue.
    First off, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
    I also suggest that we go through the document on Blinking Lights on the HP Officejet Pro K5300 and K5400 Printer Series.
