RTX Dualphone 3088 - no longer rings for incoming ...
Hi
I have followed the manufacturer's advice, reset, rebooted, turned call forwarding off (don't know why they suggest this) but to no avail - my two RTX Dualphones won't ring for incoming calls.
However they do seem to place calls fine.
All the ring tone setting seem to be on and the volume set to max.
Any advice? Is there a hidden mute button? Or another work around.

I have had three of theses phones and the ringing tone on all three has failed after about eighteen months. I was about to buy a fourth phone when I decided that enough was enough and tried a home repair. I ripped a speaker out of a redundant mobile telephone and fitted into the RTX and, hey presto, ringing tones once more. This is an obvious fault with this model which has been reported by many users and one would have thought that there would have been some modification of the faulty speakers by now but, hang on a minute. If I have bought three and was considering buying a fourth how many replacements have other people bought? That's a nice little earner for RTX so why bother! I certainly won't be buying another one. I have traced the fault and will repair the other two once I have found suitable replacement speakers. This fault detracts badly from an otherwise excellent piece of equipment.

Bluetooth no longer works for incoming calls after recent update
When I updated my Bluetooth to iOS 6, the Bluetooth no longer works for incoming calls. I press button to answer call, it makes a small cracking noise, and then sends the call to my phone. I can use the Bluetooth for outgoing calls and it works just fine. I was hoping when I updated to iOS 6.0.1 that the problem would be fixed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Bluetooth but that has not helped either. I am frustrated. I have a LG HBM-905 Bluetooth that I loved prior to this problem.

My iPhone 4s does not ring for incoming calls. Ring tone set and used to ring. I think it has something to do with updating the IOS 7.0.4. When I updated to 7.0.3 the microphone stopped working. Had to call Apple Support and cleared phone and reloaded. ($57 charge). Any suggestions?
Start with your finger at the bottom of the screen (about even with the home button) and swipe in an upward motion. There should be a row of icons at the top of a grey field. if the quarter-moon icon is bright white, tap it. If it was (and still is) dark, take the iPhone in to be evaluated by a qualified technician.

I too have no audible ring for calls, no sounds for games, text alerts, etc. I do not have the silent switch turned on. This occured last night while playing Words for Friends. I've checked sounds under settings and sounds is turned on. Any solutions?

how does one control the number of rings regarding incoming calls before it goes to voice mail.
You can do it manually - it's a bit of a fiddle but it works. You need to specify the length of time in *seconds* that you want your phone to ring, before voicemail kicks in. This article describes how to do it step by step - I've followed it and it works perfectly

Run a FAX TEST from your printer. -Press SETUP-press the right arrow until you get to "TOOLS" touch OK-press right until "RUN FAX TEST" Your printer should give you a read out of 6 or 7 items and marks them as PASS or FAIL. What fails? Also turn "ERROR CORRECTION" to "OFF" and "FAX SPEED" to "SLOW"from the FAX SETTINGS MENU. Then Fax 1-888-473-2963. (1-888-HP FAXME) This is a FAX TEST line where you can test your OUTGOING and INCOMING FAXES. First you send a fax then a few minutes later you recieve a fax back if every thing is working properly.

Phone not ringing for incoming texts or phone calls
I have an Iphone 4S and have installed some Ringtone songs via Itunes. However frequently the phone does not play these tones when I receive a text or a phone call. The ringer is turned ON and the volume is at it's loudest. It has helped to turn off the phone for a short bit of time and then turn it back on. However, I miss several texts/calls a day due to this. I am wondering if it is due to the special ring tones or if my phone is not working properly.
It could be the ringtones in question, change to a different ringtone for the contacts in question or in general and see if the problem goes away.

I got the iPhone 4 two days ago, and I noticed that when someone calls me, the phone will vibrate, but it will not ring. The volume on the ringer is set to the highest level. I downloaded an update for the phone 2 days ago. What can I do to get my phone to ring? Do you think the update had anything to do with the problem?

Have you corrected the issue with the ringtone volume? If not, make sure the Ring/Silent button above the volume keys is turned on (if off, orange sticker will appear). Then go to settings > sounds > Ringer and Alerts > change the volume to loud. The vibrate options can stay on. If all of these settings are enabled, try changing the ringtone.

My iphone will not ring when calls come in. I have it set to ring and vibrate. The Do not disturb is turned off and I have reset it but still it will not ring. What can I do?
Check and see that the silent mode switch on the upper left side is toward the front of the iPhone and there is no orange or red showing.

I accepted the push to update my iphone to iOS6....now it will not ring. It blocks calls from my landline. Help! I've tried resetting, etc.
It has been caused in an OTA glitch. You need to hook it up to your computer, restore and update off of iTunes. Good Luck.

Hello, can anyone help Me? I have a problem with the external speaker of my iphone 4s. It works when i get calls, messages etc but nit for any app. The headphone does still work. The volumebuttons also do not show the regular volume bar. Any ideas please?
Clean the iPhone charging port with a clean dry toothbrush. Dust or debris is causing iPhone to believe it is in Dock station.

My ringer is no longer working for text and email notifications. Only working for phone calls. I have gone through all the settings to see where something is off. Not finding anything. I have tried changing the tone and it just vibrates on everything.
Ok so I happened to figure it out while on the phone to apple support. Even though the guy was very nice, I think I knew more than him! He was explaining very basic resolution principles I played about. I had the second option in displays resolution. All I did was unplug the HDMI cable, click on 'best for display' then plugged the HDMI in and my resolution on the normal monitor changed to the normal blue, then went black momentarily and then changed to a strange resolution but another window appeared that said SONY BRAVIA HDMI at the top! Hey presto! Don't know why it didn't do it yesterday - I probably left the HDMI cable in or something! Oh well. Problem solved!
