Ruei collector's traffic with tap

I don't know whether ruei's issus should be posted here?
we've copy the network traffic with tap(cisco modules),and 40% of power to ruei collector.the total traffic of outbound should 1.3Gbps,but the traffic we can saw only 1Gbps in cacti.
we've already tested the tap and hp NC522SFP adapter with iperf,it works fine.
is anyone have ideas?
sorry for my poor English,Best wishes to you.

Hi Tony,
could be several causes for not seeing all the traffic. Pls find some possible problems/resolutions for this issue in this knowledge article: https://support.us.oracle.com/oip/faces/secure/km/DocumentDisplay.jspx?id=1073610.1&h=Y
should you find no resolution in this it might be best to log an SR for this case as I expect some additional information about your setup is needed.

  • How can i split Client Network traffic and My exchange traffic with two differnet ip address?

    Hello Everyone
sorry for my bad English and also my bad explaine
here is my network looks like
all the client on one subnet and network is 192.168.0.0
i have Dsl router that connect to Tmg server
i have Tmg with two NIC
    1-192.168.0.4
    2- 2 Public Ip address
    i want to do this
i want to split user's traffic and my exchange traffic
i mean i want to route user's traffic with one public ip addresss
and my exchange server's traffic with another public address
but when i add additional ip address at Tmg or create new NIC card
all of my traffic route with one public ip Address what should i do?

    Hi Uhan,
You need to use ENAT fuction on TMG to achive this
On the External NIC assing the Second IP as Additionl IP address (VIP)
Create a network Rule to NAT traffice From Exchange server IP address to the required Public IP which you need the E NAT.
Ensure you are creating rule only from Exchange server IP and not all INternal.
Look at the below Doc you step by step config

To intergrate with RMAN, you should review the install instructions of whichever 3rd party backup software you are using. After you have the software integrated, you can refer to Configuring RMAN to Make Backups to a Media Manager.

  • Can I capture USP traffic with NI-SPY

Can I capture USB traffic with NI-Spy? if so how?
    Thanks
    TeBlues

    Hi TeBlues,
NI-Spy captures return a log of low-level driver calls being made to National Instruments drivers.  It does not track the serial data passed along the USB bus.  To capture the serial traffic on the USB bus, I would recommend Portmon (if you are using a Windows OS).  This program monitors all serial and parallel port activity on a system.

  • Prevent PPPoE encapsulation of traffic with specific destination

My ISP requires a PPPoE tunnel to connect and the modem I use is in Transparent bridging mode. If I connect a dedicated interface and specify the network/IP and use NAT, I can connect to the modem management. However, this isn't my preferred setup as my previous cable ISP used DHCP and any routed traffic out the outside interface destined to 192.168.100.1 would be responded to by the cable modem. I'm assuming that since the traffic with PPPoE is encapsulated, the modem is forwarding everything right out to the link since I get an ISP router responding with traffic destined 192.168.0.1 no route to host.
Is there a way to exclude 192.168.0.0/24 from being encapsulated by PPPoE while all other traffic isn't? If I have to have multiple vlans to do this properly that is fine, I'm just lost in finding a way to use one physical port on my ASA 5505. Setting trunking with with either the outside or modem vlan as native on the interface doesn't appear to allow the modem to connect unless outside is the native vlan
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi Bro
Yes, in the old/former way of doing things, the PPPoE is being handled by the Modem, provided by your ISP. For this reason, your Cisco Firewall OUTSIDE interface is able to grab a dynamic private IP Address i.e. 192.168.0.XXX/24 from the Modem (acting as the DHCP server). With dynamic NAT being enabled in your Cisco Firewall, LAN users on the INSIDE of your Cisco Firewall can now browse the internet and also access the Modem’s management webpage.
Now, the PPPoE is being handled by your Cisco Firewall directly. This means, your Cisco Firewall OUTSIDE interface will now grab a dynamic public IP Address from your ISP directly, via your Modem (acting as transparent/bridging device). With dynamic NAT being enabled in your Cisco Firewall, LAN users on the INSIDE of your Cisco Firewall can now browse the internet but cannot access the Modem’s management webpage anymore. This is because the LAN users will appear as public IP, while your Modem is still on private IP, no route. There’s no way to exclude 192.168.0.XXX/24 from being encapsulated by PPPoE.
What I have in mind for you is, use another spare interface in your Cisco Firewall, and connect it directly to the Modem. This interface is strictly for the Modem’s management purposes. With dynamic NAT being enabled in your Cisco Firewall, LAN users on the INSIDE of your Cisco Firewall can now access the Modem’s management webpage.

  • Unable to capture traffic with Ethanalyzer on N5K-5548

    Version - 5.0(2)N2(1)
My understanding is that we need
    1) Access-List defined, with statistics configured to get matched traffic onto control plane
    2) Access-List applied to an interface, via command "ip port access-group mycap in"
    3) ethanalyzer command, ex; "ethanalyzer local interface mgmt capture-filter "net 1.1.1.0/24" (also tried interfaces inbound-hi & inbound-low)
I see matches on the access-list, but not seeing anything captured.
    What am I missing?
    ip access-list mycap
      statistics per-entry
      10 permit ip any 1.1.1.0/24
      20 permit ip 1.1.1.0/24 any
      30 permit ip any any

I hit zoom "on" in accessability and now my phone is stuck. I have tried the double tap with three fingers, but that's not working. It also isn't letting me select any options. I can't even turn it off because it won't allow me to scroll up to get to it. This is so frustrating!!!

Double tap with three fingers and slide the 3 fingure gesture downward on the second tap to zoom back out.

  • Large amount of traffic with 152x mesh and mac-flap

We have just had a Mesh designed by an external company, and when we plugged it in we began have large numbers of mac-flap notification and more than 700mb of traffic sent across our data network.
Our setup includes 2 5508 controllers and 9 152x APs
3 APs (RAP) with their 5.8 antennas are within close proximity on a vertical pole pointing to the other 6 about 1000mtrs away in an arc. With their ethernet ports plugged into the same switch (native vlan 111) as WLC1 (which is LAG'd to two ports)
Vlan 111 for management of Mesh
    Vlan 201 for WLAN
DHCP scope on DC on Vlan 100 (helper address from router)
Q, will the closeness of the 5.8 antennas cause any problems with mac-flap or is likely to be the controllers with their LAG connections or something totally different?
    Thanks for any help

    Andrew,
the proximity of the antennas shouldn't cause the mac-flap notification, nor should the LAG connection cause this.  That's more and indication that the client is flopping between ports on the switch, which generally happens when you are not configured for LAG on the WLC, nor a port-channel on the switch.
the mac address that is being reported in the mac-flap.  Is it a client or is it the MAPs?
If it's one of hte MAPs, you may want to check the antennas of the RAPs, since the MAPs sholdl stabliaze once AWPP has run and optimized the path to the network.  If they are flapping I would look at possible RF or antenna issues.
    HTH,
    Steve

  • BRTOOLS with tape continuation for large database

    Hello,
I have a R/3 database of 2TB which needs to be copied onto a new staging server for upgrade.
The problem I am facing is that I dont have any space in the SAN(storage) for taking the backup on disk.
So the only option I have is to take backups on tape.
Even tried backup with compress mode on tape but ended up with CPIO error for handling larger than 2GB files(note 20577).
And Since the database size is 2TB and the tapes I have hold 800GB I would have to use multiple tapes.
Since my some of the files in the database like *DATA_1 range between 6GB to 10GB  CPIO cannot
handle files larger than 2GB as per note 20577.
So I had to change the parameter   tape_copy_cmd = dd   in init<sid>.sap.
But DD will end once the end of tape is reached with a error message thereby failing my backup.
Please help me get out of this situation.
    Regards,
    Guru

    Hi,
Please check the 'Sequential backup' section in the backup guide. If its not possible to use a tape with a big capacity, you could use this method instead.
You would need to add/ modify the following parameter in init<sid>.ora :
    1. volume_backup
    2. tape_address
    3.tape_address_rew
    4.exec_parallel
You'll find more info about these parameters in www.help.sap.com and in the backup guide itself.

  • How to limit mail traffic with MfE

    Hi all
I did set up MfE on my e71. I know from mobile 6 ppc´s to limit traffic per mail like only download 1kb per mail. Where can I set this option in MfE?
    BR Chris

I don't know of a setting to limit the size of each message as a limit in Nokia's MfE 2.9, but the following provides some limitations of how much you get:
    1. Primary limitation of messages is provided with the setting for Options->Settings->Mail for Exchange->Options->Edit Profile->Email->Sync messages back.  I typically have 90 days of messages in my Inbox on the Exchange server, but limit the MfE content on my N97 to 1 week.
    2. Secondary limitation of email is that attachments are not automatically downloaded.  They are shown as a list when you open the message and it will report the size of each and even prompt you with a warning if you select a large attachment to download.
    3. The documentation for MfE (http://nds1.nokia.com/phones/files/guides/Nokia_Mail-for-Exchange_2.9_UG_en.pdf) says "if a message is very large, only a portion of it will be downloaded automatically.  To download the remainder of the message body select  Options->Fetch."  I've found that this ends up limiting to about 10 kb per message.
    4. If you are still having storage space problems on your C: drive, you should reconfigure your email to save on the E: drive (highly recommended for N97 owners for all email regardless of whether you use MfE or not.

  • Separation of Traffic with 2 x 10Gbps NICs?

We have a 9 blade Hyper-V cluster and unfortunately, each blade was only specced out with 2 x 10Gbps NICs. Right now each is configured in a team, with Live Migration, VM, and iSCSI traffic all flowing equally.
I'm going to separate them out tonight by breaking the team and assigning one for VM and Live Migration traffic and the other dedicated for iSCSI traffic.
Is there any reason I shouldn't configure it this way, are there any other tweaks I should make?

The Windows engineering team made changes to iSCSI to enable it to support teamed adapters.  But you still might want to consider creating two iSCSI NICs, placing them on separate subnets, and using MPIO.
    . : | : . : | : . tim
Thanks Mickael and Tim. Following a slightly newer TechNet article (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn550728.aspx#BKMK_Example) I've got my VMQ queues configured as follows on a single host for testing:
2 x SMB Multipathing vAdapters (tested and traffic is load balancing perfectly)
2 x iSCSI vAdapters (configured Dell MPIO to bind to these two alone, seems to be working)
    1 x Live Migration vAdapter
1 x Management vAdapter for pHost Access and VM Traffic
I'll be taking it a step further next week and creating VLANs for all the individual subnets at my pSwitch layer, but I feel much better having some sort of separation/isolation of traffic.
    Have a great weekend.

  • RMAN with tape without mediation from MML (target 9i)

    hi, guys
i'm wondering if RMAN is able to do the following job :
    target DB (9.2.0.8)
i wanna backup the whole database to tape (hot or cold whatsoever)
is it possible to backing up db to tape without 3-rd party SW installed on DB?
if i wanna exclude the temp tablespace from whole backup what's the fastest way to do it ?
    thanks~
or the possible way is only to write to disk first then move to tape manually ?
    thanks
    br/ricky

is it possible to backing up db to tape without 3-rd party SW installed on DB?NO, not directly with RMAN. Unless of course you don't consider Oracle Secure Backup 3rd party software.
if i wanna exclude the temp tablespace from whole backup what's the fastest way to do it ?You are in luck, RMAN doesn't backup temporary tablespaces.
or the possible way is only to write to disk first then move to tape manually ?Yes, RMAN can write to disk and then you can move to tape without using RMAN.

  • Sys-suspend fails on Solaris 9 with tape drive present

I ran across a post by T. Kloeber (http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5109999&messageID=9374786) on the Sun developer forum on this.
I replaced my Solaris 7 SS5 with an Ultra 2 and installed Solaris 9 fresh. The external disks and tape drive are unchanged. The SS5 used to suspend properly about 95% of the time, but now the machine refuses to suspend with the tape drive connected. Log messages are:

and the system is not suspended. Is there anything i am missing on Solaris 9?
I am able to modunload the st driver, then when I attempt to suspend, the driver gets reloaded, and I get the failure above.
I ran across an E10000 service manual from 2.6 days that said that tape devices were not suspendable. They must have rethought that by Solaris 7. No idea why 9 should refuse this. I have the latest recommended patches.

  • Begins capture and then stops (says problem with tape)

When I try to capture (whether it is with Clip or Now) the capture begins for three seconds and then stops citing a problem with the data. The menu suggests that there may be a problem with the DV tape. (I can preview with no problem). I've tried many tapes and all have the same result leading me to think there's something up with the program.
I haven't specified any system preferences other than what is suggested for default. The program recognizes and controls my device with no problem. I just can't capture. What should I do?
I'm using a Panasonic DV NV-MX8EN (Asia model).

If you have an anti-virus app running, disable it.
Also try switching off File Vault if it's on.

  • Problems with tape shot with VX-2000

    Hello,
I have a problem with some tapes that were shot with a Sony VX-2000. They play back fine on the VX-2000, but when I try playing them on a Sony PD-100, the tape looks like it's speeded up--the picture pixelates, and the audio goes in and out (the resulting effect is like scrolling through the tape). When I play it on a portable deck (Sony GV-D900), it has a pixelated band across the image.
I first thought this was due to dirty playheads in one of the cameras. But when I dupe the tape (from the VX-2000) to the portable deck or the PD-100, the duped tape plays fine. So I imagine the problem must be in the VX-2000.
A couple of obvious solutions would be to capture the tapes directly from the VX-2000, or to duplicate the tapes. My concern is that the VX-2000 is on loan, and I may not be able to borrow it if I need to re-capture. Plus it's a little risky to have tapes that can only be played off of one camera. Duping the tapes would be the last option because I'm on a 10-day shoot, and it would mean duping a lot of tapes.
Has anyone run into this before? and is there a solution to this? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Thien Do

I think that most decks have some sort of "automatic
tracking" adjustment (I'm just guessing, but...).
Certainly worth a try. If you can't find someone
with a better deck in your neighborhood, if you
wanted to ship me a non-essential tape for a test,
I'd be happy to give it a try.
Thanks for the offer. I'm on a shoot in Vietnam and it takes to long to mail tapes to the US, but I really appreciate the offer. I'm trying to find one of those decks here and see what they can do.
Another friend suggested that if all else fails, I could dupe the tape via SVHS connection onto a DigiBeta tape, then convert it back to DV, to minimize quality degradation. Seems like a good option.
