How can I view the PO approver rules ,controls and profiles

HI,
The approval process should be replicated by an electronic release procedure.
This release procedures automatically blocks the relevant documents for further processing. Blocked POs cannot be output for example.
To setup release procedure for POs follow the menu path:
SPRO>Materials management>Purchasing>Purchase order>Release procedure for purchase orders.
You must make the following customizing settings in this order:
Create characteristics and classes
Create release group
Create release codes
Create release indicators
Create release strategy.

Could not download static AME rules and approval groups using FNDLOAD

Hi,
we are trying to download static AME rules in 11i , but the FNDLOAD fails to download static rules? Please help how to download static AME rules in 11i and migrate them to next instance?

Error: Lock profile for approval procedure not maintained in Customizing

Hi,
We are working on the CHARM approval process. I have noticed that without selecting an approval procedure, I select the status (Awaiting business approval) on which the approval workflow is triggered, the system gives below error:
Select an approval procedure first
Lock profile for approval procedure not maintained in Customizing
Approval procedure and approval steps are locked automatically
This locks the approval procedure and the RFC can no longer be processed further. Why is that happening ? Anyone can select the status by mistake and lose the RFC, is there a way to stop this or at least reset it ? the lock procedure is already maintained in approval procedure customizing.

Thanks for the quick reply, however the settings mentioned on page 38 are already in place i.e. the approval procedure gets determined correctly based on change category (rule policy) and also is locked after putting it to 'Awaiting Approval'
But the problem exists - setting the status 'Awaiting App.' without selecting app.proc, will result in a total lock of the RFC.

Process rule and provisioning workflow problem

Hi,
we have designed a workflow to provision groups from a database resource to ldap and AD resources. We use the process rule in the activesync process. These groups creation
works without problem now, but the update/creation of users from database don't work. In my workflow I try to use the workflow services provision and reprovision, the result it's ok, but nothing is updated in my AD and ldap.
I have read in an old post that, in the process rule, the activesync offer a user view variable, but I don't receive nothing, and then I need to do a getview and then pass this view to the
reprovision rule. This don't work.
how is the correct process to reprovision from a process rule, and when we need to create a new user, from where I could get a userview for the provision process?

Without writing a component, you can put this code in the "side effects" box in the desired profile(s). This code removes the horizontal rule, and inserts a non breaking space in its place.

Roles give you authorization to specific area of the system. Use TC pfcg and you will see different setting for a role.
In specific Role -> Authorization -> click on Display Authorization Data.
Here all specific InfoArea, Cube, ODS, Reporting componets: display, execute and other security rules are defined.
User Section: defines who has access to this role.
Multiple authorization are combined to create an Authorization Profile. You defined a profile at TC su01 and under profile section.

Information about the rules and regulations to take to create reports in BI

Hi Gurus,
i got the next project in a client where is working with SAP BI since a few years, they have the next problem:
- no set rules and standards that kind of reporting should be migrated and used by BI
(Examples of the problem in BI:
Reports with hundreds of records in detail.
Many files export to unix trough the list cube to get a large file with detail.
reports that serve as daily operations and not analysis, etc)
Now you can imagine the many problems that arise when a report is not ready in the morning because a infopackage failed or there were delays, or the Unix disk capacity is full, delay in run of the reports, etc.
My mission is first create a series of rules and regulations to serve both functional and technical area of the BI team to know so when I request is reviewed first by the functional and evaluate first is this request is a candidate to be created in BI, although BI team arrives, also be aware of these rules and approve if it will be developed in BI.
through this form either creates a culture and norms of the role of BI for new projects or requirements, i m a SAP BI consultan certified, i know tha basic rules, but i am looking for some file or some informatión that support my rules tu be presented to the managers and the team, i will really appreciat your help, thanks !

For sending the data into external system or in app server, we have differnt types of approches.
1) via APD.
2) Via Open Hub destination.
3) Via transaction: RSCRM_Report.
In the above process we pros and cons:

I beleive OH is fexible and am interseted to know why we are going with LISTCUBE and wat is added advantage by comparing with process above.

Hi KK,
Frank is right, it is not just technicla steps but clear understanding of what you want to mitigate.
I assume that-
1. You have a defined rulebook.
2. you have created all risks and rules are generated.
3. You have run risk analysis in your system.
4. You have now list of risks exposure in your system and your business people have to get a look on that and to decide what is to be removed and what they must retain to run business.
5. You have remediated all authorizations whic hare not neccessary at all.
Now you have list of mitigations.
You may do it at two levels-
First you need to clean all roles. Mitigate them.
Second user level-If user is getting violations via two roles, you need to decide whether you want ot keep them or not.
If not, then you will have to remove one/more roles.
If you want to keep, then you have to mitigate them.

Mitigation procedure-
1. Create a naming convention which clearely states mitigation nature-e.g. which module it belongs to role and risks.
1. Create mitigation control and associate approver, monitor, risks to them,.
2. Mitigate Roles using contorls specifying which risks you want ot omitigate.
Same procedure for user mitigation.

Where to maintain Rule Modeler Profile in SPRO?

Outlook 2007 Rules and Alerts won't open

User complained of receiving duplicate emails after adjusting rules. I chose to open "Rules and Alerts" from Tools on the tool bar. When opening "Rules and Alerts" a box flashes on the screen and I am unable to view any of the Rules.
I am able to create a new profile and then open the rules. I attempted the outlook /cleanrules command, I was still unable open rules. (It is a Windows 7 OS). Any ideas, if I need to use a new profile what is the best way to move all of the
other outlook info without moving the problem?

I am not sure if this issue is has been resolved but here is the fix. I have been having the same problems for a couple months now until today when I decided to fix it.
When you mentioned OWA that got me thinking because outlook rules are workstation standalone (it will apply if the system and outlook is running) the issue is with OWA. If you have ever modify your rules in OWA you will have the problem.
FIX:
Log onto OWA and go to the options settings.
Go to Rules and try deleting a rule. It should say something like several rules error or something.
LEAVE OWA running and open Outlook.EXE (pretty much just open outlook), preferably, on the computer you set the rules in the first place if you still have it. If not, it is ok.
On your Desktop Outlook, click on Rules and your pop-up should remain up. Delete the olds rules, yes, all of it.
Refresh OWA to make sure all rules have been deleted. If they have, great. If not, repeat the steps again - Log out of OWA, close outlook and open it back up. Now you can create new rules.
OWA Should have no more rules. In the future, make sure you don't make any changes to existing rules in OWA

Skills Profile and Profile Matchup - Manager Notification

In the Skills Profile and Profile Matchup (service EMPLOYEE_SKILLSENHPROFILE_SERVICE_13) when an employee updates one of their skills there is a message written to the screen that "Your manager will then be notified of the changes.". I do not see any notification being created or a standard workflow for this. What needs to be done to 'activate' these notifications?

In order to realise this requirement you need set up workflow
For Skills you should use workflow WS1200124 - I believe this
is provided by application componenent CA-GTF-QR
The function module, which creates the event is
HR_EVENT_WF_SUBPROFILE_DEFICIT.
This should be defined in table T779W
as follows
Q 1001 B032 INS PDSP 000 BUS7030     HR_EVENT_WF_SUBPROFILE_DEFICIT
Workflow is activated in transaction PFWS
It should also be mentioned that the standard workflow defaults
to the inbox of the employee- additionally
the workflow needs to be customized as follows to select manager -->
Copy WS to your namespace
The agent for step 0004 Display HR Development Subprofile would have to
be changed from Expression 'Employee' to 'Superior of workflow
initiator (rule) in the workflow builder for this template.
Afterwards it is necessary to activate the event triggering in your
workflow template and deactivate it in delivered template WS01200124.
The whole steps are
Copy workflow
Deactivate even triggering in delivered template
Change Step 004 expression
Save and Activate
Test in ECC
Test in Portal
Alternatively please consider removing text either via Personalization or
NWDI - if you do not wish workflow
