Rules Deleted from Mailboxes

We are having an issue with at least two mailboxes but likely most or all of them. In short the rules that are created in the mailbox are being deleted randomly. I would guess it is about once a month or so.
One of the mailboxes is mine and the other is a shared mailbox that we use to work incoming requests. At first i thought they were surely deleting the rule, but it is also happening to my account. The dummy account has a rule in which the server
replies to all incoming emails with a specific message. On my mailbox I move all emails from a sender to a folder in my mailbox. Both rules are server side rules.
I cannot track down what would cause this. Any ideas? I'm just completely lost.

What version of Exchange Server do we use?
Does someone else has administrative permission and delete the rules without reminding you?
It is odd, rules were deleted randomly without any operation.
Please use MFCMapi Tool to verify whether these "deleted" rules just be hidden.

Did you use the expunge() method on the folder, or use close(true)? Otherwise the messages marked as DELETED will not be removed yet.

Emails are not delete from the handheld/server

Hello,
Our client has Blackberry 8330.
Emails are not deleted nor from the server nor from the phone. Maybe there any other setting set? Or are these settings set wrong?

As discussed in the KB I linked for you, it depends. If, in the top grid, there is a YES in the Wireless Deletion column for the subject email service AND you have further configured, as per the KB you found, for deleted item reconciliation, then yes it should delete from the server when you delete from the HH.
Note that there may be a time lag, however -- deleted item reconciliation tends to be one of the lowest priority activities inside of both BIS as well as the email providers systems...I've seen it take up to 24 hours (not normally, but that's the extreme that I've witnessed).
Further, I believe that the on-HH setting for "Keep Messages" should have no effect on the server...deleted item reconciliation is a function of the end user actually deleting from the HH...not the auto-removal by virtue of this setting.

Retrieve message that was accidentaly deleted on Mailbox and handheld with vital info in it

Is there anything I can do to get a message back that i need to repoly to and accidentaly deleted on both the handheld as well as the mailbox at my e-mail address. I am in a panic. Please help!

well that was my next bet. does the message normally disappear from deleted items as well, when you delete from mailbox and handheld?
anyhow, if the message is not in deleted items, your only option is to contact your email service provider, nothing can be done on BB side.

Email alert volume; Stopping deletion of mail from mailboxes

Hi--Is there any way to turn up the volume of the email alert on my earthlink acct, the account came with the MB PRo.
Also, is there any way to stop the deletion of mail from mailboxes I've created. You can stop deletion from the Inbox or whatever, but I lost important mail I'd put them in a new mailbox and poof they went, without warning, no advisory, ****.

Not certain, but this can fix myriad Mail problems...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move these folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
Reboot.
If that doesn't do it and you can afford to redo all your Rules, try these & reboot...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist.backup

How can I delete emails from phone but not from mailbox?

I used to have a Blackberry Torch & was able to just delete messages from my phone but they would still appear in my mailbox on my desktop. Now with the iphone 4s when I delete from my phone it deletes everything, everywhere.

The only way to erase it is to go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Settings

I deleted emails from VIPs and didn't realise they would be deleted from my Mailbox. VIPs does't appear in Mail on Time Machine. Is there any way I can restore the deleted emails?

You can't download pictures from iCloud by logging into icloud.com. If you deleted pictures from camera roll AND photo stream, the only possibility is preforming a restore from an iCloud backup, assuming the backup has the pictures in it. (Many users have been unable to restore and get back their pictures.)
If the restore doesn't have all the pictures, then they are gone.
In the future, use photo stream to sync photos from an iPhone to a computer, then copy the photos on the computer from the photo stream album into a permanent album. Photo stream pics stay there only for 30 days, and only up to 1000 photos are stored. Don't use photo stream as a storage medium, it's only for copying photos from one device to another. Always copy (either via USB cable or photo stream) to a computer and then move to an album.

MAIL: Trying to settle long-lasting problem. Mail always immediately downloads the messages I delete from any IMAP mailbox. I'm running out of HD space!

BACKGROUND
I only have 60GB of space on my MacBook Air. Currently, three long-standing IMAP accounts are taking up over 7GB of it!
I have seen several related discussions about this kind of problem, but they all seem to have been solved or glossed over with setting up the IMAP interaction so that messages are deleted from the server in addition to the device or with a "Mailbox > Use This Mailbox For" fix that doesn't work for me. I like being able to save all of my email history on servers (I'm often surprised by how many years back I have to search to find a piece of information I need), but I can no longer stand losing so much of my very limited local space to really old mail.
PROBLEM
I'll refer to just one of the relevant accounts as "Gmail," since that's in parentheses when seen in these screenshots. These are its current Mailbox Behaviors settings:
Under my Gmail Inbox in Mail, I have deleted every message from before 2013. The mail from 2013 is all that I want stored on my MacBook Air.
Ultimately, I think this has something to do with the Archive (seen in the sidebar above, as well). Even when I've deleted everything from before 2013 in my Inbox, AND emptied the entire contents of Trash manually, the Archive still contains all of the mail from the server (yes, this account was started in 2011, but I have others that go back much further).
The cherry on top is that when I delete the same messages from the Archive as I've deleted from the Inbox, Mail immediately begins re-downloading all of those messages. Last time I tried this my laptop had to download 23000 messages, but here's a screenshot of proof with a smaller sample:

Final Notes
• There's a lot that I don't know about exactly how IMAP communication occurs between a device and a server. For my sake and the sake of anyone else who needs this kind of help, please clarify terms like "flags" and "archive" (since Gmail and Mail both use the term and I don't know think they mean exactly the same thing) if/when you use them.
• If anyone does think that there's some sort of "Mailbox > Use This Mailbox For" solution to this, you should know that no matter what I have selected in Mail's sidebar (at no matter what level of indentation), the options available under that menu item are always grayed-out.
• I want to keep using Mail. There's a lot that I like about it and I don't want to switch to Thunderbird or something else (remember, I need to save as much local space as I can).
• I just upgraded to 10.9.0 Mavericks, but this problem has existed for me and behaved essentially just like this as long as I can remember. In fact, I think I recall the problem still existing before there was an Archive in the sidebar at all.

UPDATE
I still have the problem, but when I checked on this post to see if anyone had commented and I simply hadn't received an e-mail, I noticed that all but the last of the images I included have stopped displaying (I had friends check, too). Most of them were just visual examples of what I was explaining in hopes of giving context and all available info that I may not have personally viewed as relevant, but the first one, about my account's Mailbox Behaviors settings sure is important. These are the settings I have:
• Store draft messages on the server — Check
• Store sent messages on the server — Check
• Delete sent messages — One month old
• Store junk messages on the server — Check
• Delete junk messages — One week old
• Move deleted messages to the Trash mailbox — Grayed-out and Check
• Store deleted messages on the server — Grayed-out and Check
• Permanently erase deleted messages when — Quitting Mail
I hope this helps. Please comment if I'm leaving out any other important information.

Additional info...I am trying to delete these emails from a Webmail address. the Trash currently has 11 messages and they arent being deleted.

Try turning the account off and on : Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars , then tap the account on the right, slide Mail to 'off', exit settings and go back into the Mail app, and then go back to Settings and slide Mail back to 'on'
If that doesn't work then try closing the Mail app via the taskbar : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
Another option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
If you still can't delete them then go into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, select the account on the right-hand side of that screen, select Account, then Advanced, Deleted Mailbox, and under On The Server tap the 'Trash' folder so that it gets a tick against it - then come out of that series of popups by tapping on the relevant buttons at the top of them and then see if you can delete emails.

Field not delivered by source system - Deleted from rule

While activating business content for example 0CRM_COMP,
I get the following error:
Field TYPE not delivered by source system -> Deleted from rule
Field CAMP_TYPE not delivered by source system -> Deleted from rule
Field CAMP_TYPETX not delivered by source system -> Deleted from rule
Similar errors for different fields appear.
My system config is
BI 7.0, SP14
BI Cont 703 Sp6
Any fix or solution will be suitable awarded.

HI Raj,
The business Content is not always consistent.
If you get messages like that, the best way to deal with them is to manually adjust the objects.
In this case it means that you will have to check the datasource. It may be that in R/3 you will have to "unhide" or add some fields to the datasource. (I cannot be sure as I cannot go into details).

How to delete expired messages from mailboxes using EMS

Hi.   I'm on a quest to come up with something that will delete old/expired messages.   This is with Exchange 2010 in SBS 2011. I got the suggestion of the following EMS code:
Get-Mailbox -Identity "some user mailbox" | Search-Mailbox -SearchQuery expires:4/10/13 -DeleteContent
So I ran this and got an error.   It didn't work.   Some research let me know that the error I was getting indicated that the user I was working as needed to be part of a group.   I added that user (Administrator) to that group
and tried again. This time I got a different error. More research and found that I needed to be in a role group.   OK.   Did that and yet another error.   Still more searching and found that there was another role
group that was needed.   Added that role group and thought OK this is going to be it. Unfortunately there were two new, never before seen, error messages.   It said I need to specify a TargetMailbox and a TargetFolder.
While I did specify a legitimate mailbox obviously something is wrong, but what.   Does anyone have any ideas?
The goal of all this is simply to come up with a script of some sort where we can delete all messages older than 1 year.   We would want to run this regularly, probably every Sunday.   Further we'd want to purge old messages in all folders.

Well, I tried again this morning and did not get the previous error message that I posted about.   Instead I got this. It almost seemed to work, or at least try up until the new error.

TS3276 There are two User accounts on my iMac. The two Users have seperate email accounts. Both email Mailboxes show up in each Account. If I Delete Mailbox from in User account, does it delete the Mailbox from the other User account at the same time?

There are 2 Users on my iMac. Each User has their own email account. Both account Mailboxes show up in each User's account. If I delete a Mailbox in one account, does it delete the same Mailbox in the other Account?

If you click the - sign in Mail preferences, it will delete that mail account. If you just delete the Mailbox, that will just delete the Mailbox.
Each user can put their own email account information in Mail when logged into their User Account.
If you don't want the other user's mail account to show up in your mail application, then make sure the other user's messages are available to them when they are logged into their account and delete the other user account from Mail in your User Account. The other user can do the same when logged into their user account. Any messages stored in one locally will have to be transfered to the other's user account if it's not saved in their user login.
In addition, instead of deleting the account at first, highlight the account and open the Advanced Tab and disable the account. That email account will dissappear from Mail. Once you decide that you don't want the account, you can delete it. If you need to get back to it to transfer messages, just re enable it.

Exchange 2010 Trying to Deleting Database Mailbox(DB13), error database "DB13" has multiple copies on other servers. Must remove all copies from other servers

Please use this command to check the status information for copy of database “DB13”
Get-MailboxDatabaseCopyStatus -Identity DB13
In the name field, we will know the copy stays on which server. Then use the following command to remove these copies.
Remove-MailboxDatabaseCopy -Identity DB13\MBX -Confirm:$False
Use the EMC to remove a mailbox database copy:
In the console tree, navigate to Organization Configuration > Mailbox.
In the result pane, on the Database Management tab, select the mailbox database whose copy you want to remove.
In the work pane, on the Database Copies tab, right-click
the database copy that you want to remove, and then click Remove.
Click Yes to remove the database copy.
After removing these database copies, then try to delete this mailbox database.

Mailbox deleted from Pub, Still answers on Sub

So we deleted a mailbox on the publisher, however when the DN is called, the subscriber is still playing the greeting for the deleted mailbox. There is no record of the mailbox at all in the CUC admin pages, and you can create a new mailbox with the same DN.
If the Pub answers, the standard error for a user with no mailbox is played, so this is only happening on the sub.
I have check the DBreplication and there are no errors.
Any ideas? should I try a Utils dbreplication reset??

Ok just found the option that allows to direct downloads the pictures on the mac. It is avaible in parameters of iphoto.
