Rules for the namespace prefix structure....please help

Hello,
I want to know the specific rules for thePCD Object's namespace prefix structure. I know, and all the doc that i have says that i can put the namespace prefix like com.company.pct. Now i want to now for example if i have an iview that hold an HR application for my company, if it is ok that i call the namespace prefix  of that iview like this: com.company.pct.hr.iviews. I saw in one doc, that maybe SAP use this structure in order to set this value like this: com.sap.km.iview. so i have that doubt. Please if anyone can help me....
Regards
Mariana

Hello Mariana,
I am not particulary aware of any 'rule' per se on namespace prefix structure for SAP applications. Maybe a general guideline - like the non-usage of special characters in it (that I believe is not allowed in the first place). In Java terms, these are called 'packages' -- you can have say: com.company.util.statistics -- for statistics-related utilities. That said, for me at least, it's a matter of proper organization of these objects into packages. For plain java utility classes you custom-built, there are instances that you are required to use it. That said, I am not sure that there are particulars that you have to adhere to strictly.

The iPhone 5 requires iTunes 10.7 or later and iTunes 10.7 requires OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.8). If your profile is correct it looks like you need to update your OS X on you Mac. You can contact Apple and purchase the software from them.

  • 2.0 or should I spring for the extra .16? Please help

    Hi all,
am currently using a G5 2.3 DP tower and am thinking of jumping to a MBP. My questions is will the 2.0 be enough of should I spring for the 2.16 and will I see/feel the difference.
Does anyone have an idea also on how much of a difference there will be in speed between my G5 and the MBPs?
I intend to max out the ram at 2Gb and keep the standard 5400 rpm drives for now.
Will use it for MS office, Java, iLife and web based design.
Thank you all for any advice and input.
    chris

Hi All and thanks to all who replied. It is greatly appreciated and has been very helpful.
    Here is the update.
I initially ordered a 2.0BTO with a 7200rpm drive. First one arrived and was DOA - it had a really loud shreeking (not a whine but a loud shreeking) sound when turned on and and was very unstable with random KPs. Called Applecare and ran a HW test that detected a MoBo error so back it went.
Second unit arrived and after a couple of days was also declared DOA as it would not charge consistantly and screen flickered.
Ended up cancelling the BTO order and went to my local reseller who had a 2.0 5400rpm Hd in stock. Told him the issues I had so he suggested we open one up and test it to make sure it was ok and I was happy with it before I paid for it. I agreed and eventually left with my new 2.0 100Mb 5400rpm 2gig ram MBP.
It's been a week since I brought it home and all is well. A couple of observations I have made after 3 MPBs are:
    1. I actually feel that the units did have different heat levels when running. This is very unscientific as one had a faulty MoBo and one had charging issues but the one I have now is warm, but has never reached the level of being uncomfortable even when running it flat out.
    2. 3 different MBPs with 3 different quality of builds. The first one was flawless, perfect and fit. Second one had a slightly misaliged screen that lifted at one corner. Third one is pretty good but the first one was the best.
    3. The Whine - I don't want to comment on this as there has been enough said and written bout this but I do want to say that in my opinion, if you listen hard enough to anything that is mechinical, high performance with active moving parts and high speed processors you will hear some sounds. As long as it is not obtrusive, counter-productive or distracting or drawing attention to itself, I am ok with it.
    4. I think the week of build does not assure you of the quality of MBP. It is a hit and miss thing if you end up with one that is less than fully functional. The first BTO was a wk 13 the second was a wk 15 and the one I am happy with is a wk 14. A friend has a 1.83 wk 10 machine that is perfect as well while one of her friends has a wk 11 and has not had any issues. Funny thing is the shop owner I bough it from said there have been people coming in and asking what week the MBP was and not staying when they found out it wasn't the latest production week.
Anyway, I hope this has been useful info and again, a big thank you to all who replied and gave their input and suggestions. Greatly Appreciated
    Cheers

Complete what Kurt has told you first. Then - if you use CCC - check the details in
    B4 U post...
noting especially the two links to details for preparation of a target drive and the "Proof of pudding" test.
Then make use of this section of CCC Help.
BTW, having both source and target with the same name is an invitation to a mistake. Rename one or both of them. Use meaningful names to make life easier (and safer) for yourself. Select a volume's icon in the Finder, hit <return>, type the new name, hit <return> again. The OS will notice the new name(s) immediately. Use only simple alphanumeric characters, preferably with no spaces. Even something boring like "myCloneVolume" would be better than what you currently have.

  • I try to restore my iPhone and I get a pop-up saying "The iPhone could not be restored. This device is ineligible for the requested build". Please help.

Trying to restore my phone. I have it in recovery mode. I have iTunes updated and I've done the terminal hosts thing when I clicked "more information". No matter what I do I still get the same pop-up. It'll extract files for anywhere of 10 seconds to 2 minutes and then the pop-up shows. I hope i've given enough info if not please ask for more. Also I'm using a mac computer.

Problem solved. I misread one of the steps in the terminal walkthrough.

  • Cannot Maintain settlement rule for the activity

    Diagnosis
The network has header account assignment. You can only maintain settlement rules for the network header.
    System Response
    Processing stopped.
    Procedure

    Please help.
    Cheers,

    Hi,
I already tried the config OPUV (network type Parameters) but it shows the activity account assignment already ticket.
If i go to network header and go to settlement rule the warning message shows :
    Network has activity account assignment
    Message no. CN057
    Diagnosis
Costs can only be written to activities for the network whose key you have entered.
    System Response
    Processing stopped.
    Procedure
    1. Check whether you have entered the correct key for the network. Change it if necessary.
    2. Maintain the key for the network to which you want the costs to be written.
In addition, if i tick the activity under the network header : it shows
You cannot maintain the settlement rule for the activity
    Message no. CN006
    Diagnosis
The network has header account assignment. You can only maintain settlement rules for the network header.

  • How are you using the Namespace Prefix?

    As the subject says...
The top-level namespace prefix looks very useful for segregating projects into their own namespaces...is this what this is for, or does SAP have another recommended use for this prefix?
The vendor name already makes the namespace unique to a corporate entity (if you use the domain name), so anything after that is really only of importance to the internal development environment...

Even if your development isn't that big, using the 'name space prefix' would allow you to further segregate your codebase.
This also becomes important when your domain name is rather long - 15 characters.  Take away four or so more for the namespace prefix, and you're left with 20 characters for the DC name.  Add in a few separators, and you're down to 12-15 characters.
Obviously, readability can suffer when you start to abbreviate too much, so I'm looking for best practices when it comes to the namespace prefix.
    Thanks for your comment.

  • Help! My iPod touch won't let me download any apps. A message keeps coming up saying "This Apple ID cannot be used for the iTunes store. Please enter another Apple ID" I changed my ID to see if that would work but the same message still comes up.

    Where are you physically located?
What country's Store are you using?
The two have to be the same and the payment method for your account also has to be associated (billing address, where iTunes gift card was purchased) with that country.
Has the ID(s) worked before for purchases for this country's store?
