Rules of factoring

Hi All
what are the difference between XPPF, XPP1, XPP0, X VAL ?
please can anybody explain
charan

Hi,
what are the difference between XPPF - To determine partial periods like termination, basic pay change, unpaid absences.
XPP0, This is sub rule for XPPF
XPP1: Partial period factor on which basis we are going to calculate like on calendar days and working days, working hours
X VAL -  Valuate payroll elements using partial period factors,
Valuate payroll elements are basic pay, hra, Conveyance, DA etc.

Thanks for the reply. We may have our answer in your Premiere Elements 10 running on a computer that uses a NVIDIA GeForce card. There is a known issue relating
to Premiere Elements 10/NVIDIA GeForce with the solution being roll back of the driver version to about May 2013. But, I have not seen it reported before in association
    with the particular error message
    [..\..\Src\EMS\WSEMUtil.cpp-715]
But because of the history on this matter in
the Announcement at the top of this forum
    and
ATR Premiere Elements Troubleshooting: PE10: NVIDIA Video Card Driver Roll Back
we do need to rule this factor in or out.
Go to the following site for older version NVIDIA GeForce and plug in your information to download and install the May 2013 driver version
    http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us
It is the Driver GeForce 320.18 Driver........320.18.......May 23, 2013 that you want.
Are you working with SD or HD projects?
Please review and consider and then let us know the outcome. The references cited with give you a
comprehensive view of the Premiere Elements 10/NVIDIA situation.

  • Timeline Bug while dragging, trimming, moving a clip

    Hello,
I have a huge problem with Adobe Premiere Elements 11 on a Mac, OSX Lion - only in the expert mode:
If I want to drag a clip in my timeline or reposition it or trimm it, the normal background of the timeline is replace with a copy of the preview-part above. So I could not see where to place my clip exactly. I see only the duplicated preview area - see my screenshots:
    Insert a clip:
    Remove a clip:
    Normal view, while doing nothing:
How can I fix this problem? Has anyone the same bug?
    Best regards

No I am not affiliated with Adobe in any way. Just an Elements user, and an Elements Windows user at that. But I have an over active troubleshooting gene.
The issue symptoms that you present surely do fit the profile intended for that Adobe issue and its fix. Since Adobe did offer the fix, I assumed that it had insider information on cause and its relationship to the fix.
Even if you do not act on updating display driver for your new computer, for troubleshooting purposes, I would identify the display driver that you have, go to the web site of the display driver card's manufacturer, and verify that the display driver is up to date to rule that factor in or out. In troubleshooting, take nothing for granted. If you verify that the display driver is up to date, then I would go back to Adobe Technical Service, update it on your details, and then learn "what next".
Several months ago elsewhere I was working with a Premiere Elements 11 Mac user, dealing with this same issue. Last I heard from him, nothing worked.
We will be watching for your progress.

  • Premiere elements 9 workspace will not load up after reinstalling the software

i have been using premiere elements 9 on my laptop for a few years.    recently, I took my laptop into the local computer store to have it cleaned up due to virus', they backed up all my data, and left me with nothing but my windows 7 and my backed up files (which is what I expected and asked for).    After re-installing my Adobe Photoshop elements 9 and Premiere Elements 9, I cannot use the premiere elements 9 program.    it only gets so far before closing.    After clicking the premiere elements 9 icon, I am taken to the "Organize, Open project, New Project screen".    upon selecting Open Project or New Project, it goes to the Premiere elements panel....that's it.    I cannot open a workspace, tasks etc.....   .    If I try to open an old project (file>open>.....) nothing happens.   nothing loads.    same with file>new>......     if I keep trying , I get the message 'Premiere Elements has encountered an error and will close'
my Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 works just fine.   came in the same package.
I have uninstalled premiere elements 9 twice now, and reinstalled it, same thing happens.
losing my mind a bit, as creating video is a hobby (youtube etc....) and I'm at a stand still.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

If the Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 problem set in after the installs of any one of the programs installed, then you should rule that factor in or out for each systematically. Each would be a prime candidate for troubleshooting exploration.
But, before you do that, let us try deleting the Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 settings file. In Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit, it can be found in the path
    Local Disk C
    Users
    Owner
    AppData
    Roaming
    Adobe
    Premiere Elements Folder
    9.0 Folder
and in the 9.0 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete. If that does not correct the problem, then deleted the whole 9.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists.
    IMPORTANT
    a. Make sure you are working with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so you can see the complete path.
    b. Do not detour or get lured into a Premiere Elements 9.0 Folder instead of the Premiere Elements Folder/then 9.0 Folder.
Please let us know the outcome.
    Thank you.

There is an epidemic of display issues targeting specifically Premiere Elements 10 users whose computer use a NVIDIA video card. For now, the answer is to roll back the video card driver version rather than to assure that you have the latest video card driver installed on your computer. Please check out the following thread in this regard and determine if any this applies to your situation.
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/5836037
Once we rule this factor out, we can move on to other troubleshooting schemes.
What John T. Smith has asked is do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer with your Premiere Elements 10. If you do, the latest version is 7.7.4. You should be able to find confirming information on that in Help Menu/About QuickTime in the opened QuickTime. That is not a codec number. It is the version number (latest version) for the QuickTime program on which Premiere Elements is very dependent.
As for codec, in this case, the question being asked is what is the video compression in your file that has the .mov file extension. If you do not know and do not have access to a video properties reader (such as MediaInfo), perhaps we could get the needed information from the brand/model/settings information for the camera that was used to record the video.
Please review. We will be watching for your progress.
    Thanks.

  • IMac to iPod using Wi-Fi

Why dose my Wi-Fi connection drop off at times even though I do not move the iPad or my iMac, when the connection drops I then go to my iMac and put the iPad close to the iMac and it takes about a minuet for the signal to come to full strength, also the iPad seems to have problems connecting with the internet even thought there is plenty of band with.

    George,
TC stands for *Time Capsule*. you do have one, right ?
also I live out in the country so as far as I know there are no Wi-Fis about although there could be radio interference.
right. additionally, your cordless phone, your microwave oven, or even turning on bluetooth on your iMac could interfere with the wifi signal.
in order to rule those factors out, you might want to temporarily turn of any cordless phones, turn off bluetooth, or indeed try changing the channel your wireless router (TC or whatever) broadcasts on.
    well, best of luck !

Somehow that does not look like Premiere Elements 11 or 12. What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
If you are running Premiere Elements 10 and your computer uses a NVIDIA GeForce video card, then please read the Announcement at the top of this forum. If you are a Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA users, then it is mostly likely that you will need to roll back the NVIDIA card version to continue to use your Premiere Elements 10. For your convenience, a copy/paste of the Announcement
Announcement: Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA Video Card Driver Roll Back
    Hide Details
If you are a Premiere Elements 10 user whose Windows computer uses a NVIDIA GeForce video card and you are experiencing Premiere Elements 10 display and/or unexplained program behavior, then your first line of troubleshooting needs to be rolling back the video card driver version instead of assuring that it is up to date.
Since October 2013 to the present, there have been a growing number of reports about display and unexplained workflow glitches specific to the Premiere Elements 10 user whose Windows computer has a NVIDIA GeForce video card. If this applies to you, then the “user to user” remedy is to roll back the NVIDIA GeForce video card driver as far as is necessary to get rid of the problems. The typical driver roll back has gone back as far as March – July 2013 in order to get a working Premiere Elements 10. Neither NVIDIA nor Adobe has taken any corrective action in this regard to date, and none is expected moving forward.

  • Premiere Elements 9.0 will not open

In August 2011 I purchased Adobe Premiere Elements 9.0 with a new Dell PC using Windows 7 64-bit. Since then I have used Premiere Elements many times for video editing without problems. The last time I used it was about 3 months ago. This week I tried to use Premiere Elements, but was unable to load it. The software would start to load up to the point of displaying the full screen with task bar, but without showing the individual “panes”, at which point it appeared to freeze. If I then tried to use the drop down menus (File/New/Project or Files/Open Project) an error message would pop up saying “Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premiere Elements to shut down. We will attempt to save your current project.” after which the program would shut down. I have tried unistalling and reinstalling Premiere Elements, but it has not solved the problem. Any ideas how to fix it?

  • Playback so jerky on Premier Elements 11 I can't edit. Urgent help required.

My clips are from a Panasonic HC V700 camera filmed at 1080p 50fps
Project settings are PAL 1080p 50fps
There is no orange line above the timeline - only a small green section where I added a transition and rendered - so I assume the project setting match the properties of the clips.
    My laptop details are:
    Acer Aspire 5742Z
    Intel (R) Pentium (R) CPU P6200 @ 2.13GHz
    Installed memory RAM 4GB
System Type 64 Bit Operating System
    I'm using Windows 7
I save projects and files onto an external hard drive - a Hitachi Touro Mobile 3.0 1TB
I've defragged my laptop hard drive but that hasn't helped. I've updated the audio, video, graphics drivers but that hasn't made a difference either.  Is it likely to be the lack of RAM?
I have to have this video (approx 5 mins but with complex green screen stuff in it so a few layers of video going on) edited and uploaded to Vimeo by midnight on Sat 31st May. I've never had this issue before with the same camera and same settings etc. There's been some jerkiness but not so bad I can't see to edit properly.
    Any help gratefully accepted.
ETA - I saved the minute long section I've done as a quicktime movie and it played back fine on the laptop.

    Some thoughts...
If you video source for the project is 1080p50 (1920 x 1080 @ 50 progressive frames per second), then make sure that the project preset is set a
    PAL
    AVCHD
    AVCHD1080p50
If you are allowing the program to do an automatic project set, the check to determine what it is setting. See Edit Menu/Project Settings/General and the Editing Mode, Timebase, Frame Rate, and Pixel Aspect Ratio readings (even if the fields appear to be grayed out). For that project preset, the Project Settings there should read as follows
If you see Editing Mode = 1080i, then start a new project, set the project preset manually to the 1080p50 project preset, and then import your 1080p50 into the project. The how to for setting the project preset manually is described toward the bottom of the following
ATR Premiere Elements Troubleshooting: PE11: Accuracy of Automatic Project Preset (New Project Dialog) Setting
With your video formats, double check what you have. Could there be any confusion between 50p and 50i. Just in case note...when you see 50p, that represents 50 progressive frames per second. When you see 50i, that represents 50 fields per second which is the counterpart of 25 interlaced frames per second.
Please check out the above so that we can rule those factors in the matter that we seek to resolve.

  • Audio Effects delay kicking in after each clip

    Hello,
I am using DeNoiser and NewBlue Noise Reducer to eliminate some hiss I have on my audio. Though the effects work to improve the sound, it takes about 2 seconds for the effects to kick in, and this happens with each clip. In other words, the hiss is present for about 2 seconds into each new clip before it fades away. I normally use Transition effects too, of course, but I even tested some clips without the Transitions and it still happened.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

I was just about to call it a day when I saw your post. I will comment about it further tomorrow, but for now.
I wanted to get a handle on the properties of what you were importing into Premiere Elements, such as, video and audio compression, frame size, frame rate, file extension, audio channels (2 or 5.1 channel), etc.
The project preset can have its impact on results so best we rule that factor in or out. What is the origin of this hiss noise? At first I thought that you might be recording to tape. What are they, just miscellaneous noises from the use of the external microphone?
Audacity Noise Removal might be worthwhile after all. Worth a try.
The only thing going into Audacity is the audio portion of the file. You can right click the file on the Premiere Elements Timeline and select Delete Video and then export the file (Publish+Share/Computer/Audio) for import into Audacity. From Audacity you can export it out as mp3 or wav for import back into Premiere Elements.
    More on that tomorrow.
We will be watching for your progress.

Let us start with background information.
What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 10 working on? And, does your computer use a NVIDIA GeForce video card/graphics card.
If a NVIDIA GeForce card, then stop and let us know. There is a serious Premiere Elements 10/NVIDIA GeForce issue which is remedied by roll back of the card's driver version to about May 2013. We need to rule this factor in or out before considering other troubleshooting routes.

  • Premiere 10 Hassles

My computer is constantly crashing when I bring up projects, and the playback is so slow, I'm waiting forever to just watch plaback. Editing has become impossible. Thoughts?

Are you referring to Premiere Elements 10? On what computer operating system is it running?
By any chance does your computer have a NVIDIA video card? If so, please check out the following thread which deals with the epidemic of Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA video card users and display issues et al.

For now, the answer to that issue is to roll back the driver instead of the classical drill to make sure that your computer has the latest version of the video card driver.
Let us rule this factor in or out of your particular situation and then we can decide what next if necessary.
    Thank you.
