Run a process when leaving a page

Hello,
Is it possible to run a process when users leave a page?
Let me explain:
On a page, I have an Automatic Row Processing (DML) and a PL/SQL process. These two process are run when users click on the "Apply change" button.
Is it possible to run these two processes ALSO when users leave the page (click on another tab) ?
I want to do this to make sure that the changes are saved, even if users forget to click the "Apply Changes" button.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Have you looked into using a pl/sql dynamic action page unload event?  I haven't tried before but if you set the item values in the first step of the dynamic action and then execute a pl sql routine that mimics the DML it may work.  Since the action would fire after every page unload, it would also probably need some validation to ensure it does fire during normal processing.

  • Is there any listener when leaving the page?

    Hi,
    I use JDev 11g,

    *((DCIteratorBinding)this.getBindings.get("MyIterator1")).getViewObject().getApplicationModule().getTransaction.isDirty();*
    to know if there is a change happen in database or not
    I want to check this change when I leave the page.Where can I write this code? Is there any listener when leave the page or not?

  • Display a warning when leaving a page

    Hi,
    I have created multiple APEX pages and would like to create a warning when leaving a page  when changes are made to the page.  Iam new to APEX and javascripts. We are using Oracle APEX 4.1,  connecting to a 11 g database  and Internet Explorer 8.0.  I have seen postings from older versions of APEX and have attempted to use the logic and receive multiple screen prompts. I appreciate your assistance with this challenge.
    Thanks

    Hey Don,
    Have a look at the save before exit plugin.

  • PSNT won't run a process when its defined as the server name

    Hi Everyone,
    We have just upgraded our environment, previously, we were using PSUNX as our only process scheduler. after the upgrade, we are now using PSNT only. however, we have a very curious issue with the process scheduler.
    When we run a process online (menu>peopletools>process scheduler>system process requests) and choose PSNT as the server name, we immediately get the error below:
    +"The process XRFMENU has category that is not processed in server PSNT (65,279)+
    +The system detects that the process with the designated server is currently defined to not initiate requests with the process' category. Please choose another server to + +schedule this process. Alternately, you can specify a blank ServerName to allow the scheduler determine the available server the process can be initiated."+
    But when we leave the server name as blank, it runs perfectly fine, using PSNT as the process scheduler.
    and what's more interesting is, when we open the process definition (XRFMENU for this example) and edit the description then save the process definition. It will then run fine even if we use PSNT as the server name.
    Any ideas on why this is so?
    We are not using masterscheduler on our server. we have already tried removing the row from prcsdefn then inserting it back but it doesnt work.
    thanks in advance.

  • EPCM error when leave Webdynpro page ???

    In Portal, when navigate from page with webdynpro iViews to any other workset or page, clicking in some node of the top level navigation, opening a windows alert popup , and said: Exception in EventDistribute occurred. Throw it to upper level?
    And then click accept 4 times let me continue.
    After trying multiple alternatives, the issue certainly is occurring when:  I am in a page with at least one webdynpro java, and I go to another. That is, to leave or close the webdynpro iView has generated  the problem.
    When I choose "debug" the exception with MS Dev studio, I found this error code, this is the point when the exception raise:
    EPCM.eventDistribute=function( consumers, eventObject, resultArray){
    var isRetValCollect=(resultArray != null);
    var eListener
    var retVal;
    for (var idx in consumers){
    eListener=consumers[idx];
    retVal=null;
    try{
    retVal=eListener.call( eventObject );}
    catch( e){
    if (EPCM._private.dbgException){
    if(confirm("Exception in EventDistribute occured.\nThrow it to upper level ?")) throw(e);}
    if(isRetValCollect && retVal != null){
    resultArray[resultArray.length++]=retVal;}
    any suggestion ?????
    thanks in advance!
    Leandro.

    Add this: not only when leave a webdynpro iview or page is the problem, also when resizing a webdynpro page in the IE.
    Any change in the screen size, raise this popup error
    any idea???
    thanks in advance

  • Flash player is crashing when leaving browser page

    I have Firefox 26.0 and the newest version of Flash player as of 13/1-14
    My issue is not happening all the time, but a LOT. Whenever I've watched a Youtube video and then wanting to go back(leaving the browser page) it freezes and crashes. I have the option to keep it running or shutting it off, which eventually helps. Disabling the Flash player helps, not keeping it running.
    I don't care for whatever reason it's not working, but you either fix this or get me a new keyboard, because of the immense amounts of irritation this ridicolous issue causes.
    I'm sorry the warning is in Danish, but it says that the Shockwave Flash Player is either occupied or crashed. I can either stop the plugin or let it keep trying(why is that even an option? It does not try anything at all.. Except from keeping the browser frozen for a few more centuries..)

    Download the following files (Right click and "Save Link as"):
    Shockwave Player Uninstaller
    Flash Player Uninstaller
    Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
    Shockwave Player 12 FULL Installer
    Reboot.
    Run the Uninstallers from your Downloads folder, to remove BOTH Flash Player and Shockwave.
    Go to: C/Windows/System32 and delete the Macromed folder.
    Go to: C/Windows/SysWOW64 and delete the Macromed folder.
    Open your Windows Registry Editor (Start>Run or press the Windows key+r. Tpye "regedit" [minus the quotes] and click OK.
    In the Registry Editor, go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE and delete the Macromedia folder.
    Go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software and delete the Macromedia folder.
    Close the Registry Editor and empty your Recycle bin.
    Run the Shockwave FULL Installer first, and THEN the Flash Player Installer. These are offline installers and will require no connection during the process.
    If problems persist, try disbaling other plugins and extensions for Firefox, to determine if one or more is conflicting with Flash and Shockwave.

  • Prompt to save the chages when leaving the page

    Hi all,
    I have the following scenario:
    I have a plsql region with 15 records pro page with text fields and checkboxes.
    When the user does update any field and navigate to other page (or clicks to other pagination page) without click on the button "SAVE" or "CANCEL" I would like to show him the confirm dialog "The changes was not saved. Save it?" or anything like this.
    Is it possible?

  • Chrome, Firefox, IE all crash when leaving page with flash

       Hi,
      I am running XP with SP 2 on a Intel Core Duo Dell machine. These are coporate machines. I've had two in the past two weeks and both are giving me the same error.
       After installing the latest flash player, all browsers are able to load a flash page. However, when leaving that page for another, all browsers stop responding. They don't crash, they merely freeze.
       Chrome indicates that the flash plugin has crashed and would I like to terminate it. The others simply stall.
       I've uninstalled, re-installed, rebooted.. etc.
       Interestingly enough, a fellow coworker who appears to have the same machine as I, does not have this problem.
       Any ideas on how to debug this ?
       Thanks
       J

    i seem to have the same problem too....
    chrome tells me that Shockwave plugin has become unresponse then says its crashed....
    Firefox becomes unresponsive (i've left it in that state for quite a while..result nothing)
    i uninstall flash using the uninstaller provided from adobe (or from add and remove programs, tried both options) and browsers run perfectly fine... of course access to flash content lost since i need the plugin...!
    I'm running Vista Home Edition SP2
    antivirus - AVG Free
    particular websites that i use (all of them with flash content crash!!!) and that crash EVERY time - youtube, bbc.co.uk, facebook, gmail, f1-live.com, all sites with flash crash!!
    i've tried everything i could find on firefox forums, chrome forums, and here... nothing works... now i'm gonna revert to flash 8 and try... hopefully adobe will respond to this problem... its not jus one or two who are facing this problem...!!

  • When I attempt to open firefox an error message appears telling me that firefox is already running, but I can't find it running. How do I do so or in any case close the already running Firefox process?

    When I attempt to open Firefox instead of Firefox opening, an error message appears saying "Firefox is already running but isn't responding. To open another window please close the existing Firefox process or restart the system.", but I can't find that process of Firefox in order to kill it, and after restarting the system there is still the problem. I have found an emergency fix to at least get online, and that is to use"Firefox_Profile_Manager" in the start menu's "run" start menu, but the
    Firefox that then opens is that one doesn't carry over what I had in my bookmarks but starts bookmarks anew.

    Sounds like it is hanging when you exit and later try to restart Firefox.

  • Since I updated Firefox I have to constantly re log-in to my Yahoo account such as email. Every time I leave the page I have to log-in to get back into it. I also run OPERA and I do not have that problem with them. I stay logged in. Any suggestions?

    I have windows Vista and have the updated version of Firefox. I also can run OPERA and LUNASCAPE with no problems. When running Firefox I have to constant re log-in to my Yahoo account every time I leave the page. For example: I log in to check my email on Yahoo and then leave my email page. Then when I return to recheck my email I have to log in all over again. I can't stay logged in. If I run my OPERA browser I stay logged in for days without having to sign in all over again.

    Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
    Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
    To clear cache and cookies do the following:
    #Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
    #Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
    #Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
    #From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
    #Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

  • Get pop up window when leave the WD page

    HI,
       I always get a pop up window says "Please wait! Closing the application" when i leave the page which is inital running Web Dynpro applicaton url.
       Is there any way we can disable the pop up?
    thanks

    Hello Martin,
    I have used this DLL before and wasn't asked to choose a codec. Maybe if you use all three functions (init, write, close), it works without problems. Here's a example that uses IMAQ hardware to acquire an 8-bit image at 30fps and writes each image to an avi file.
    There are utilities to examine dlls (see what functions are exported and what the dependencies are, but you can't see source code since it is compiles.) Check out QuickView or DependencyWalker.

  • Running on load two fetch processes on the same page

    I have two separate regions on one page build on two tables which have a one to one relationship. I want to to query both regions at the same time when the page loads using the automatic fetch process. If I try to run both I get "NO DATA FOUND" error. If I run each one separately (by setting a never condition on the other process) then each region returns data without problems. Is this a limitation of APEX that you can only have one on-load fetch process per page?
    Paul P

    Hello Paul,
    >> Is this a limitation of APEX that you can only have one on-load fetch process per page?
    Ultimately, yes.
    The ‘no data found’ error you see is not related to your data table but to an internal APEX package array that the ARF process uses. As you are using more than one ARF process on the same page, they both use the same database session, and that means that the packaged array is not clear between calls, and in certain situations that can lead to the error message you see. In any case, if an error message is not display, the populated items will only be from the last call to the ARF process.
    As I see it, you have two options. One is to populate the form items manually. The second is to create a view on the two relevant tables, and build your form on the view (with the appropriate Instead Of triggers, if necessary).
    Regards,
    Arie.

    Hi, I'm Puthyrath. I have a problem on my iPad 4 wifi-3G about personal hotspot. I entered apn, username and password correctly, but when I leave this page, it didn't save, all fields become blank. Can anyone help me?

    Update to above question:
    Hello All,
    To anyone with the same problem described above, on THEIR iPad (if it is running iOS 7.0.2):
    Go to Settings; Mail, Contacts, Calendars; DELETE your *******@btinternet.com e-mail account, that you originally set up either using 'Other', or the 'BT' option which I am sure was in the list previous to the iOS 7 update.
    Then ADD a NEW account choosing YAHOO from the list of options. DO NOT USE 'OTHER'.
    Enter the correct details just as you (almost certainly) had already done in your previous attempts using 'other'.
    When you see the 'verifying......' and 'the blue ticks' you should be able to exit settings and open your mail app and then receive all your 'old' e-mails again, AND be able to SEND as well.
    All my 'old' e-mails, were NOT found in the 'old e-mail' folder though. THEY are still in my inbox.
    So this fix worked for me.
    After I deleted my account from 'OTHER' and put it in Yahoo, I like other people also ended up with more folders.
    I hope this works for you on YOUR Apple devices.

  • Since updating to FF 5.0, I can no longer access my MAMP server (Mac/Apache/MySQL/PHP) Wordpress development site on my Localhost computer (MacBook Pro, OSX 10.6.4). Why not? It's running EXTREMELY SLOWLY when I try to access the pages on my site.

    PROBLEM WITH LOCALHOST SITE LOADING VERY SLOWLY (IF AT ALL) AFTER I UPGRADED FIREFOX TO 5.0 FROM 3.6
    I have been successfully running MAMP, a personal Apache server with MySQL, on my MacBook Pro using OSX 10.6.4. This is so I can create a Wordpress blog locally to later upload to my remote website.
    Yesterday, I updated my Firefox browser from 3.6 to 5.0 (and added the following extensions: Better Privacy 1.51, Bloody Vikings! 0.5.3, Copy as HTML Link 2.0, Firebug 1.7.3, Firepicker 1.3.4, NoScript 2.1.1.2, and Ultimate Free Stock Photo Search Add-on 1.0.1, TypeGauge 0.5, and Zotero 2.1.8)
    Now, I'm having trouble: At first, MySQL database server in MAMP wouldn't turn on at all. I restarted both Firefox and MAMP a few times. Finally, MySQL turned on and MAMP started to load into the browser. But it got only as far as the top bar on the MyPHP page, and would not load the rest of the page. Finally, pages do load, but I'm getting a "Waiting for localhost…" message looping at the lower left screen for a VERY LONG TIME (30-60 sec?) before my localhost web page appears (sometimes it says "Read localhost…").
    But even when the localhost pages appears, it continues to run VERY SLOWLY when the browser tries to load the pages (although it runs a little less slowly when I use only the backend Wordpress administration pages). In short, it seems that something is stopping Firefox from accessing the MySQL database properly so that my site can show up as quickly as it did before.
    Since this mess only happened after I upgraded to Firefox 5.0 and added the plugins, and nothing else has changed on my computer, it seems the Firefox 5.0 app and/or an extension is the culprit.
    Can you advise me ASAP about what to do? If not, I'll have to downgrade to 4.0 or something. I've got deadlines to meet.
    Thank you.

    Thank you.
