RUN ALLOCATION PROBLEM

hiiii
i am working on runallocation concept ,when i exceute the package view status is showing empty not displaying anything .what might be the problem..?
thanks in advance
regards
praveen

Since you did not provide any information about which release and support package of BPC you are using I would have to guess and say you need to apply SAP note 1456024 which is included part of BPC 7.0 NW SP08.
If that note is not applicable to your system, please come back with more details on the release information.  Also, does any packages show a status or is the issue only with the run_allocation package?
Can you see the status files from UJFS or from SLG1?

  • Using a filter in RUN Allocation

    Does anyone know how to use a filter in the WHAT, WHERE clauses in RUN Allocation?
    I need to use something like WHERE=%STAT_ACCTS% AND [GROUP]<>"PL" but it dosen't work.
    On the contrary, is there a way to get the basemembers of a parent ID based on a filter?
    I could also use something like *XDIM_MEMBERSET ACCOUNT =BAS(STACCTS) AND [GROUP]<>"PL" but XDIM_MEMBERSET does not support conditions.
    Thanks in advance for help!

    Thanks for the replies... but my problem is still not solved... if either of the following could work that would solve this:
    a) have my xdim_memberset set to only those products which meet the condition [LEVEL]="seg" and are the bas members of the product i pick from the hierarchy. For this i would need a select statement which works like:
    *SELECT(%SKU%,[ID],"PRODUCT","[PARENTH1]=%PRODUCT_SET% AND [LEVEL]='SEG' ")
    OR
    b) a way to create a variable using xdim_filter that i can use anywhere else in my code
    c) put a condition in the WHERE clause of the allocation script so i could use something like:
    DIM PRODUCT WHAT=something; WHERE=BAS(%PRODUCT_SET%) AND [LEVEL]="SEG";
    but none of the above options are working

  • Heap allocation problem

    Hi all,
    I have a strange heap allocation problem with my application. I will try to explain what happens:
    My AWT-application reads data every second from a serial port and displays it. Max. heap size is set to -Xmx32m because the application has to run in an environment with little memory. JVM is 1.4.2_18.
    After some hours I get an OutOfMemoryError. My first idea of course was: ok a memory leak, use my profiler and see what happens. But I can not find any memory leaks. The following is what I can see in my profiler:
    The first 2 hours everything seems to be OK. The available heap size is stable at 15 MB and the used heap goes up and down as normal. But after 2 hours the used heap size has some peaks. The used heap seems to build up and the peaks get higher but still the used heap size goes down due to GC until a peak is so high that it is over 32MB and my application dies. The recorded objects graph has the same trend as the heap graph. The VM seems to "forget" garbage collection...
    The only idea I have is that heap fragmentation occurs e.g. because of array allocations. But until know all attempts to track down the problem failed.
    Any ideas what can be the cause of the problem or what I can try? Any help is welcome.

    Yes, the same limitation in 32-bit Linux applies to JRockit as well. On
    a 64-bit architecture this limit does not exist.

    Does this restriction also applie to JRocket, has this been tested?

  • IOS app crashes on return from cameraUI - a memory allocation problem?

    hey all
    trying to finish my first app
    when running on iOS, the app SOMETIMES crashes after returning from cameraUI (either "use"/MediaEvent.COMPLETE or "cancel"/Event.CANCEL).
    when i exit some other running apps on my iPhone 3Gs (and not that many are open), the problem goes away, which makes me think this is some memory allocation problem
    in that aspect, can i trust the iOS to exit inactive applications to allocate more memory for my, currently active, AIR app?
    (there is no memory leak)
    this is an iPhone 3Gs running os version 4.3.5
    the app was made with Flash Pro 5.5 overlayed with the AIR 3.1 sdk, and deployed using the "deploy for app store" type (which should be the most bug-free)
    (no crashes on Android or desktop versions)
    anyone had this cameraUI problem or a similar one where an app crashes if more then some numbers of apps are open?
    thanx
    Saar

    I don't get this. Its beyond frustrating:
    we are not talking about using an uncommon phone capability, access to a phones camera is about the most basic native level of access you would be looking for in a mobile framework
    we are not talking about an edge case in usage, just trying to take a simple picture consistently
    we are not talking about a feature issue where it doesn't quite work the way you want, it crashes the whole app hard!
    we are not talking about a hard to recreate, only happening to a few people case - it seems from what I have read the Camera integration is fundamentally broken and I have spent days researching this and only found frustration from people out there
    we are not talking about an issue that does not have consequences - in several places on this forum and others people have emphasized how it is affecting their platform decisions, ability to submit apps. You even have people on this board recommending that not to use Flex Mobile and move to other platforms. Not what you want to be happening to when you are at the adoption phase of a new product.
    And that is the response - on this thread and here http://forums.adobe.com/message/4125590#4125590 - we know its an issue but we don't know when it will be fixed and no proactive communication on status - only a growing body of people like me getting increasingly frustrated. What does it take for an issue to be a show stopper? priority 1? affecting customer decisions priority?
    In my case I am in place where I am trying to make a platform decision and since this experience has happened I have subscribed to the live feed for this forum and as many relevant Adoble blogs, news feed etc. as I could find. I did this to get a feel for how well Adobe is supporting the mobile development on the AIR platform. Something increasingly important given recent decisions.
    My perception so far is quite poor especially for a recently released product, i.e. 4.6 release. In fact the release that finally addresses performance enough to make AIR mobile development a risk free decision. You would expect Adobe to be all over the boards like this - with core developers, platform experts contributing actively. My perception, rightly or wrongly, is of a community trying to support itself without much help, or clear communication from Adobe. In fact if you look at the the articles coming out of Adobe recently its all phonegap, html5 etc. It does not fill you with confidence for the future.
    To be clear - I have had a great experience with actionscript, flex etc and as a company we have developed the backend portion of our platform solely on Flex. I don't believe that we could have done it any other way and even now when I look at the alternatives for web development I feel vindicated in our decision.
    However, this rant is caused by a genuine frustration and fear. I don't expect this to get a meaningful response but maybe if there are enough voices it will create an overall improvement.

  • Can a G5 run without problems with this damaged harddisk? (picture inside)

    Ok, so I took my G5 to my dealer cause the fans were revving way too much, and the apple hardware test found an error concerning cpu A. Remember, my G5 worked perfectly fine except for those two things. It was still blazing fast
    The dealer got back to me and said there was no problem with the G5 itself, but with the raptor bootdrive that I had installed and bought myself.
    They say I damaged the connectors while installing it.
    I got the drive and G5 back wednesday, take a look at how my hard drive looks
    http://users.skynet.be/bk318948/hd.jpg
    Does this look like a harddisk which is able to run without problems for 9 months? I can't even believe you can attach the connector in the way those thins are bent and damaged.
    There is even plastic broken off.
    Besides, if they say this drive was the cause of my error code, then why does it still show the same code, even without that faulty hd inside?
    My guess is they damaged my harddisk itself, and are trying to pin it on me. No way, this drive cost me 200 euro.
    This dealer isn't going to get anymore money from me.

    Hi Klaus;
    Why not publish who did this to you here?
    You can then let them know how much you think of their work by telling them. That should return the favor they did you. Don't you think?

  • Running into Problems with Flash Player with some sites and not others

    Hi All,
    I've run into problems with Flash Player 10,0,45,2. In IE 8, FF 3.6.3 and Google Chrome (which I downloaded as a last ditch measure), some websites (such as youtube) work fine. Other sites such as wimp.com I get an empty box. I've reinstalled flash, but haven't seen much else in these forums to try to figure out what the problem is.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • MTRR allocation problem on Dell Vostro

    Hello good people,
    I am having MTRR messages from kernel and a warning that graphics performance may suffer. I know from the sparse mtrr documentation around that I can set them up as I want and everything should work  but after trying several changes, the only thing I have managed to do it get a horribly slow laptop.
    I am running 64bit Arch on Dell Vostro 3550. I have 6GB ram and a hybrid video card setup with an Intel card and an ATI one. I am using the proprietary Catalyst driver and I also have the intel driver installed.
    Here we go...
    Kernel message.
    $dmesg | grep -i mtrr
    [ 0.000000] MTRR default type: uncachable
    [ 0.000000] MTRR fixed ranges enabled:
    [ 0.000000] MTRR variable ranges enabled:
    [ 17.262434] mtrr: type mismatch for d0000000,10000000 old: write-back new: write-combining
    [ 17.262437] [drm] MTRR allocation failed. Graphics performance may suffer.
    I noticed in /proc/config.gz that I don't have MTRR cleanup enabled by default so I tried adding enable_mtrr_cleanup to the boot line but I still don't get a good mtrr.
    $zgrep MTRR /proc/config.gz
    CONFIG_MTRR=y
    CONFIG_MTRR_SANITIZER=y
    CONFIG_MTRR_SANITIZER_ENABLE_DEFAULT=0
    CONFIG_MTRR_SANITIZER_SPARE_REG_NR_DEFAULT=1
    Now here is the mtrr I would like to repair. Notice that the memory range in reg 0 is 8192MB. Why? Reg 3 should be the range for the intel card since that's the address I get from lspci -vv as you will see. Similary, reg 4 is mapping for the ATI radeon card. According to what I have read, I want to have these as write-combining. The other ranges I have no idea why they are there which complicates my attempts at fixing the mtrr.
    $cat /proc/mtrr
    reg00: base=0x000000000 ( 0MB), size= 8192MB, count=1: write-back
    reg01: base=0x0cb800000 ( 3256MB), size= 8MB, count=1: uncachable
    reg02: base=0x0cc000000 ( 3264MB), size= 64MB, count=1: uncachable
    reg03: base=0x0d0000000 ( 3328MB), size= 256MB, count=1: uncachable
    reg04: base=0x0e0000000 ( 3584MB), size= 512MB, count=1: uncachable
    reg05: base=0x1afe00000 ( 6910MB), size= 2MB, count=1: uncachable
    reg06: base=0x1b0000000 ( 6912MB), size= 256MB, count=1: uncachable
    reg07: base=0x1c0000000 ( 7168MB), size= 1024MB, count=1: uncachable
    Here is the lspci output.

    Hello,
    i get the same messages without any problems for my intel card.
    You can read more about it in this thread:
    http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-85 … ec66f93bf2
    There are a fair amount of people who have posted their /proc/mtrr there, you can compare yours to them.
    In the end they come to the conclusion, that uncachable entries are not a problem, for the most systems.
    However uncachable regions of 1024MB seem to be too large.
    On my mtrr the biggest uncachable entry is 64MB.
    So you might get improvement from solving this.

  • Error when running allocation logic

    I am running the following allocation logic and get the following error:
    *RUNALLOCATION
    *FACTOR=USING/TOTAL
    *DIM P_ACCT WHAT=CE0004010; WHERE=CE0004020; USING=CE0004030; TOTAL=<<<
    *DIM ENTITY WHAT=A1000; WHERE=<<<; USING=<<<; TOTAL=<<<
    *DIM TIME WHAT=2009.JAN; WHERE=>>>; USING=BAS(2009.TOTAL); TOTAL=<<<
    *ENDALLOCATION
    UJP_RULE_EXCEPTION:Missing [] on property name: WHAT=CE0004010. I get this error when executing the script using the program "UJK_SCRIPT_LOGIC_TESTER". I also get a similar error when running it via the data manager package.
    Any thoughts on why this error is happening?

    Hi Sanjay,
    I think you are using formula property for any of the dimension member used in the Allocation logic.
    FYI Allocation will not work fine for the dimension members which is calculated using the formula written in the formula Property.
    There is no problem with your script it looks fine.
    Hope this might help you.

  • Run Allocation Package - Execute formulasError- updated

    Hi Experts,
    I have the following allocation script logic:
    *RUNALLOCATION
    *FACTOR=USING/TOTAL
    *DIM COPAACCOUNT   WHAT=[EXPORT_ALLOC_BASIS]='Stat Cases';  WHERE=<<<;      USING=COPAVVSCA;   TOTAL=<<<;
    *DIM PRODUCT       WHERE=[CATEGORY]='%PRODUCT_SET%';   USING=<<<;   TOTAL=<<<;
    *DIM CUSTOMER      WHAT=ALC_CG_01;  WHERE=[SHPTO_LEVEL]='ALC_CG_01';   USING=<<<;   TOTAL=<<<;
    *DIM DATASRC       WHAT=11_INPUT;   WHERE=11_ALLOC;   USING=11_INPUT;   TOTAL=<<<;
    *ENDALLOCATION
    *COMMIT
    Now on my package I put the following input:
    Version: Actual
    Entity: EntityA
    Time: 2009.MAR
    Product: PROD_CAT_001,PROD_CAT_002,PROD_CAT_003,PROD_CAT_004,PROD_CAT_005
    After running the package, I get the following error:
    Execute formulasError
    Unclosed quotation mark after the character string 'PROD_CAT_001'. in:
    select [ID] from mbrPRODUCT where [CATEGORY]='PROD_CAT_001
    What could be causing this error??
    Notes:
    1. I don't encounter this error when I only select 1 product member.
    2. Actually, there are 500 product members that needs to be allocated. I let the users input the product members for allocation so that they would only input those with values.
    3. I tried using a FOR/NEXT which would read all the 500 product members, but my logic hangs when I validate and save it.
    Update:
    I see now the problem, my logic is processing all of my selection in the DM as one:
    WHERE=[CATEGORY]='PROD_CAT_001,PROD_CAT_002,PROD_CAT_003,PROD_CAT_004,PROD_CAT_005'
    instead of processing them one at a time. Is there a way to do so? I've tried using FOR/NEXT but it's making my logic hang when I validate and save it since I have to select 500 product members. Allocation logic is repeated 500 times. Is there a way to calculate each member without using FOR/NEXT?
    Hope you could help me,
    Marvin

    Hi Raman,
    Thanks for your prompt response.
    But I am still facing a couple of problems:
    1. First ASIARENT.INPUT is not a dimension member but a member, so I am not sure how to assign it to Expression. Could you please throw some light on it.
    2. Second, I haven't changed the ASIARENT.INPUT part, so may be the problem is because of this, but I am getting an error when I am running the DM Pacage. In the formula logic, its says - Missing file. So, please suggest if the package code is correct, esp. when I am calling the script logic.
    I would highly appreciate your help guys.
    Thanks
    Rahul
