The menu bar at the bottom of Safari screens only goes away if you scroll the screen. But for one page content, the screen can't be scrolled which renders useless any links/buttons at the bottom of the page.
Is there a fix for this in iOS7?
In iOS6, users needed only to tap the screen to remove the Safari menu bars. This does not work in iOS6.In Safari > View choose Exit Full Screen

My Reload Icon has run away and hid and I can't find it
First off let me thank anyone who might respond. I am as clueless as a chicken here. I have a new Mini Mac and in Safari I have managed to remove the little half circle with arrow icon that used to be up near the top and reloaded pages. I think there used to be an address bar of some sort up there too earlier today but its gone too. Whatever it was I did it, can't blame the cat and my son's too big to lie about.
Can anyone help me find my icon and make it go back where its supposed to be - kind of keystroke by keystroke wise, because I really know that little.Hi,
Do you still have the 'Address bar' when this is a YES, than the reload icon is on the right side IN the address bar.
When you don't have or see your address bar any more than open Safari browser and in the menu bar choose View>Customise menu bar than drag the address field to the icon bar where the little HOUS is.

Is there any way to play video faster as you can with QuickTime A/V control
Is there any way to change the speed at which videos/music is played back on the ipod function of iphone? Is there anyway to even do this on iTunes. I have been using QuickTime to watch videos from home in 2x the speed ---- but can't find the controls to do this through iTunes.
There isn't as far as I can find - I've had a play around and can't find any way.

If I report a problem and get a "you can't get your money back", is that the end or has the matter been sent to support for a look?
What I did:
I have family share and I found Xcom there with the cloud download symbol, I tapped it and it said "you can't download this", about how specific it was. I tapped it again and it started downloading, never asked for password (to my memory). Later I get an email stating that I had been charged for the game. I submitted a problem and got a fast response, "you can't get your money back". Now, is that it? Or has the matter been forwarded to Apple? If I am not happy, and it hasn't been forwarded where do I turn?It's Apple who told you no. That's it unless you want to try calling Apple Care.

How to view running instance in OSB like we can see in BPEL process

If someone does call the proxy service twice , How can I see the running instance of particular proxy service ? Like we can view BPEL instance in Enterprise Manager 11g and debug the problem.
ThanksOSB is a stateless and hence you cannot view running instances in OSB.

You can't open the application "..." because it is not supported on this type of Mac.
I migrated all files from OS 10.7 to OS 10.8 through time machine. However, I always see error packages like the following if I want to run some .pkg files.

How do you make imessage work? We upgraded to verision5. The icon is there. You can type the message but the send button is not available.
There is some instability in iMessage. It is a versatile and confusing app even though there are so few options in its use.
I had issues trying to get iMessage work on both my iPads and my iPhone.
ON the iPhone, turning off WiFi service and then trying iMessage fixed the problem.
On the iPad 2, same thing. Turning off WiFi service fixed it.
On the iPad 1, I took a suggestion from zoomzoom and changed the WiFi network configuration on the iPad to use 8.8.8.8 as a DNS server and then use iMessage. That fixed it. Now I put the DNS back to default and it still works.
I suspect the iPod Touch will have the same fix as the iPad.
If you have a WiFi and 3G iPad or iPhone, try turing off WiFi and see if that fixes it.
Why? (beware, some of this is guesswork)
iMessage can talk SMS to cellphones and smartphones (that are using the cell-network). It can also talk Apple iMessage format to iPhones and iPads whether they are on cell-network or on WiFi. If you are talking to an SMS cellphone, iMessage figures that out and blindly sends your message. If you are talking to a iOS5 device, iMessage figures that out too, checks to see that they are on-line, and then does something different if they are or are not on-line. If you type in an email address, and not a phone number, I think iMessage attempts to see if the email address is registered with Apple (or iCloud or whatever) and if it is not, it does something to let you know, possibly by making the Send button not light up.
In order to register iMessage and an email, you have to let the iOS device see whatever service it is that iMessage uses. That is where the problem happenes. zoomzoom suggested manually setting the WiFi DNS to google's 8.8.8.8 IP address, then run IMessage, and that seemed to fix the problem. Setting the iOS device to use 3G-only (by turning off WiFi) also fixed the problem. I suspect going down to StarBucks or McDonalds and using their WiFi would also fix the problem. Once the problem is fixed, it doesn't seem to come back so I can't test these 'fixes'.
To change the DNS on your iPad find your WiFi networks configuration, click on the blue arrow, touch DNS, backspace over the number that is shown, type in 8.8.8.8 Then click on the WiFiNetworks button at the top of the screen. Now go run iMessage. After that, you can delete the DNS entry again and leave it blank. Your iPad will fill it in from the WiFi router when it needs it. -

I'd now like to modifiy a link in the menu on the left, and
for it to open in the main frame... but i have no idea how css
works... so i'm lost... i used to have to create frames, that was
easier for me... but it seems css doesn't need frames.
so my QUESTION is :
When i add my hyperlink in the menu, how can the page display
itself in the main section of the site. keeping the top, left, and
bottom intact....

If your pages are well built, your graphics are cached, then
you will not
even be aware that the entire page is redrawing as you link
from one page to
the next. It will happen faster than you can detect.

So I was wondering...I want to get an Audigy sound card. Is the original Audigy a good performer? If you're into 2.1 sound like me, does it make any real difference over the k8t onboard sound?
And if I installed windows xp w/acpi disabled, will it make it safe to install and use an audigy glitch free? Or do I still have to do convoluted stuff to make it work right...

anyway, i would stay away from audigy 1 series they seem to have driver glitches, and erase eproms ..the zs series seems to be stomping on my core center and live update...but i didn't have problems with an audigy 2...that said there are other types of sb's but i am not sure on those..there was one person who gave up on thier audigy 1 and got a turtlebeach, and they were very happy with that said it installed smooth and sounded good. i had tried some other mad dog 7.1, revolution or somthing like that ...stay away from that..it sucked bigtime was terible to install, and sounded lousy -

I'd recommend that you check for Mac User Group(s) in Orange County. That's where you'd likely find a diehard Mac fanatic who might want to add your 6500 to his/her collection. Even if you got nothing for it, it would be better than e-cycling it. I upgraded my 6500/275 with what was a "large" hard drive at the time (15 GBs), maxed the memory at 128 MBs, installed the 512K L2 cache card, a better ATI Rage Pro PCI graphics card, a USB PCI card, and an internal 56K modem. With it running OS 9.1, it did all of the pre-OS X stuff I needed it to do. As I previously mentioned, it's a nice-sounding MP3 player. Internet Explorer 5.1.7 (the final release from 2001) kept it useful for surfing the web up until 2005, when it became too outdated/incompatible with many web sites. Unfortunately, the demands of the internet and the need for a modern browser, as well as faster processing to digest it all, are what retired many older Macs from active duty. So my (2) 6500s and (3) 6400s (same tower design) sit in storage. There is one concern that I'll pass along: The motherboard has a 4.5-volt alkaline battery, that's a small, black plastic cube, secured in place by velcro. If your 6500 has been disconnected from electricity for a long time, the battery will undoubtedly be dead. Unlike the many Apple computers that used a small ½AA lithium battery (that I've never seen leak when completely dead), the 6500's battery can and usually does start leaking. Because the motherboard sits vertically oriented on its side edge when installed, the leaking battery will drip alkaline solution down the board, corroding any components in it path. I've seen motherboards ruined from this. If you're going to give it away or sell it, you might want to pull the motherboard (remove the two machine screws on the rear I/O panel, next to the pull tabs). Slide out the board and unplug the battery's small connector (has red & black wires), then lift up on the battery, while holding down the "toothed" velcro mount with something non-conductive, like a popsicle stick. Once it's free, dispose of the battery. If you're interested, a replacement can be purchased for about $5-$7 from battery specialty retailers - it's a Rayovac 870 or 871. Even if you don't replace it, removing one that will eventually leak is a good idea, (hopefully) before any damage is done.

Can't afford a new/newer Mac right now and was wondering if my G4 can be overclocked to run a little faster.
I am looking to eek out a little more performance out of my now 8 year old PowerMac tower.
If it can, how difficult is the procedure to do so.
Will overclocking cause any additional heat issues?
Are there any procedures on the web for doing this?I agree with Allan. Overclocking is fun for a hobbyist, but you are putting your "work" Machine at risk. Sometimes you kill something.
Creating a Boot drive:
IDE/ATA drives accessed at the same time on shared cables "lock each other out" when they read or write. There is no possibility of overlapping operation. One Big speedup used in the Mac Pro (which can have four independent SATA drives) is to isolate System, Library, Applications, and the hidden UNIX files on a Boot Drive, and move all the Users folders off to another drive.
There are two sets of cables in the Mirrored drive doors G4. The "standing up" drives at the rear are sharing an ATA/100 Bus, and the "lying down" drives toward the front are using an ATA/Bus. If you created a Boot drive and put it in the slightly slower Bus, it would make your work go faster. -
My MAC runs very slow. Rainbow wheel every time i try to go somewhere. Im a complete MAC novice. Only really use it for iTunes and email. the odd document here and there. The odd spreadsheet. Was brought up on a PC. I would imagine my system is in mess. I think i downloaded that Mackeeper which i have just discovered was not a good idea. I found a thread about EtreCheck and it suggested i posted the report of my machine which i have done.I only have 2GB of space. Not sure how much i have left. My wife keeps putting photos on here like they are going out of fashion. Bought the machine in 2008 because everybody said you have a MAC. I've never really got to grips with it but at least it worked. Now it does not run very well at all. That spinning wheel is driving me mad. 680 KB Page-outs1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem. But with the aid of the test results, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.
Don't be put off merely by the seeming complexity of these instructions. The process is much less complicated than the description. You do harder tasks with the computer all the time.
2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. Backup is always a must, and when you're having any kind of trouble with the computer, you may be at higher than usual risk of losing data, whether you follow these instructions or not.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. As I wrote above, it changes nothing. It doesn't send or receive any data on the network. All it does is to generate a human-readable report on the state of the computer. That report goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. If you prefer, you can read it yourself without disclosing the contents to me or anyone else.
You should be wondering whether you can believe me, and whether it's safe to run a program at the behest of a stranger. In general, no, it's not safe and I don't encourage it.
In this case, however, there are a couple of ways for you to decide whether the program is safe without having to trust me. First, you can read it. Unlike an application that you download and click to run, it's transparent, so anyone with the necessary skill can verify what it does.
You may not be able to understand the script yourself. But variations of the script have been posted on this website thousands of times over a period of years. The site is hosted by Apple, which does not allow it to be used to distribute harmful software. Any one of the millions of registered users could have read the script and raised the alarm if it was harmful. Then I would not be here now and you would not be reading this message.
Nevertheless, if you can't satisfy yourself that these instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
4. Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed:
☞ Copy a line of text in this window to the Clipboard.
☞ Paste into the window of another application.
☞ Wait for the test to run. It usually takes a few minutes.
☞ Paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page.
The sequence is: copy, paste, wait, paste again. You don't need to copy a second time. Details follow.
5. You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken in “normal” mode, under the conditions in which the problem is reproduced. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.
6. If you have more than one user, and the one affected by the problem is not an administrator, then please run the test twice: once while logged in as the affected user, and once as an administrator. The results may be different. The user that is created automatically on a new computer when you start it for the first time is an administrator. If you can't log in as an administrator, test as the affected user. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this section doesn’t apply. Don't log in as root.
7. The script is a single long line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, though you may not see all of it in the browser window, and you can then copy it. If you try to select the line by dragging across the part you can see, you won't get all of it.

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
8. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste by pressing command-V. The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
9. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "Syntax error" or "Event not found," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
10. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
11. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
[Process completed]
to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report what happened. No harm will be done.
12. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with the words "Start time." If you don't see that, but instead see a mass of gibberish, you didn't wait for the "Process completed" message to appear in the Terminal window. Please wait for it and try again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
13. When you post the results, you might see an error message on the web page: "You have included content in your post that is not permitted," or "You are not authorized to post." That's a bug in the forum software. Please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.
14. This is a public forum, and others may give you advice based on the results of the test. They speak only for themselves, and I don't necessarily agree with them.
