Run Fiori/UI5 apps with a specific UI5 version ?

Hi,
on our ABAP system UI5 version 1.18 and 1.20 are deployed. I just configured the Fiori Launchpad and started the app, by default UI5 version 1.20 is used.
Is there a way how I can enforce to use version 1.18 for certain apps ?
Best regards,
Stefan

Hi Stefan,
The UI5 library in case of Fiori is loaded by the Fiori Launchpad and reused by the applications. So, I don't think it will be possible for certain apps to use 1.20 and certain to use 1.18.
I did not really understand why you would like to use 1.18 version instead of 1.20. As a general recommendation , its always better to use the latest version of UI5 library.

  • How to run an Automator app at a specific scheduled time?

    Hi all,
I know this question has been answered before, but the only info I can find on it is extremely dated.
How can I run an Automator app (rsync backup) at a specific scheduled daily time?

One way is to use launchd.  The easiest way is with Lingon (search in the App store)
Then in the run input box use "open" i.e: open "/users/tony/scripts/rsyncbu.app"

  • Fiori CRM apps with central hub deployment

    Hello Experts,
We are looking to configure Fiori CRM apps in our landscape with central hub deployment option. Our CRM backend and frontend server (Gateway) are 2 separate systems.
The CRM backend system (CRM 7.0 EHP3) is running NW 7.4 whereas the frontend server where we have installed the Gateway component is running NW 7.31. Can we go ahead and install the CRM UI components on our frontend server or is it mandatory that the frontend server also runs NW 7.4?

    Hi Masa,
The link you mentioned gives details about the required SAP Gateway Components for NetWeaver 7.3 & 7.4, but does not mention anywhere whether the NetWeaver version of the backend business suite system should necessarily be NW7.4 if we have front-end system on NW7.4.
I am looking to clarify the doubt regarding whether both front-end and back-end systems should be on the same NetWeaver release or it is fine to have front-end on 7.31 and back-end on 7.4

  • Viewing or Running VI or App with Internet Explorer

I am trying to run an app through HTML without getting a prompt to open or save the file. This is strictly a client based html program and will not need to be used on a web server.

    Hi,
Since you want to run your VI through HTML, You would need to use the Web Publishing tool and use remote front panels. If you want only your client and no one else to see the html file, you can set up the Web Server : Browser access settings such that access is allowed only to your client machine.
About avoiding getting a prompt to open or save file, it has nothing to do with publishing the VI as HTML. Try to modify your vi such that it does not prompt you when run on the development machine and then create it as an HTML.

  • Running Java WebStart Apps with JDK1.5

I have just installed JDK 1.5 and it all installs fine
However when i try to run a Webstart Application by clicking on a link to a JNLP file i get a dialog box telling me the following
    Cannot load class sun/plugin/JavaRunTime
The bridge was installed at <C:\Program~1\Java\JRE15~1.0> but the class is not there please modify registry key to reflect the new position.
    The key is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Java Plug-in
or change classpath to include the new directory
Please consult documentation for more details.
What is it talking about, why is this doing it?
    I have a windows 2000 machine SP4.
    Hope someone can help
It used to work with 1.4.2_04 absolutely fine.
    Cheers

The problem may be cause by Java trying to update itself, especially if you are running behind a firewall. Try this: Open the Java icon on the Control Panel, click the Update tab, and deselect "Check for updates automatically".
That fixed the problem for me, after days of installing and uninstalling Java, trying to interpret the unhelpful message, and searching the internet.

  • Air 3.9 beta  - update app with final ( non beta ) version?

I used Air 3.9 beta when i published on the app store, can i update with the  final ( non beta ) version?

You can, but you usually don’t need to. When you have other reasons to do an update, just use a later version of AIR at that time.

  • Legacy Application With Very Specific Client Versions

    Hi There,
I am having a frustrating time with an application vendor who is refusing support of a legacy application unless precise Oracle client component prerequisites are met. Specifically they call for:
    Oracle ODBC Driver 9.2.0.5.4
    Oracle OleDB 9.2.0.4.0
    Oracle OO4O 9.2.0.4.4
I can get OO4O by installing the regular Oracle 9.2.0.1.0 client that comes with the Oracle 9i install disk we have, I found an install package for Universal Installer that gets me the ODBC driver to 9.2.0.5.4. The last piece of the puzzle I need to get is the OleDB to 9.2.0.4.0.
So my question is: Is there a particular Oracle 9i Client package that contains this version of the Ole DB provider or a standalone package for it? If so where can I download it?
    Thanks in advance...
    Mike.

    Hi,
You can get 9204 OraOLEDB on My Oracle Support as patch number 3262468. Select platform "Microsoft Windows (32-bit)" , not "Microsoft Windows (32 bit) client"
    Hope it helps,
    Greg

  • How can I make links in another application (say thunderbird) open with a specific Firefox profile

Having several different Firefox profiles, clicking a link in another application (for instance,a link in Thunderbird,or in a email message, generally speaking) brings up the profile manager:is there a way to bypass it and force all links to open with a specific Firefox version\profile?

A way to do that is to edit the registry and add the -p "profile" switch to those protocol links. There is however no guarantee that such a change stays after an update and Firefox may complain.<br />
Another way is not to use the profile manager, but select the profile for the default browser once in the PM to set the profile for the default browser, so that profile is marked as Default=1 in profiles.ini. Then place a checkmark in the box to never ask and use a desktop shortcut to start each Firefox version with its own profile, so you do not have to use the PM as that would set another profile with Default=1

  • Sync iPhone Notes App with Yahoo Notepad?

Is this possible? I have my yahoo account setup as IMAP and it's working great for email. Notes and Calendar are "on" in the settings screen on the phone. But I've created dummy notes on both ends of the pipeline and neither is finding its way out the other side.
Yahoo says I have to contact my ISP since it's a paid account through AT&T, and they say they don't support this at all, contact Apple.

  • Calling a .py script inside a .VI, using anaconda's Libraries or specific python version (SystemExec.vi(?), MAC OSX)

    Hi,
I'm new to both mac and LabView, so it may well be something obvious I'm missing.
I'm trying to use System Exec (http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361L-01/glang/system_exec/ with LabVIEW 2014 on Mac OS X Mavericks) to call a python script to do some image processing after taking some data and saving images via LabView.
My problem is that I cannot figure out how to point it to the correct version/install of python to use, as it seems to use the pre-installed 2.7.5 apple version no matter whether that's set to be my default or not (and hence, it can't see my SciPy, PIL etc. packages that come with my Anaconda install).
It doesn't seem to matter whether I have certain packages installed for 2.7 accessable via the terminal, the LabView System Exec command line can't seem to find them either way and throws up an error if a script is called that imports them.
I've tried changing the working directory to the relevant anaconda/bin folder, I've also tried
    cd /Applications/anaconda/bin; python <file.py>
as the CL input to system exec, but it's not wanting to use anything other than the apple install. I've tried Anaconda installs with both python 2.7 and 3.4, so it doesn't seem to be down to the 3.* compatibility issues alone.
Printing the python version to a string indicator box in LV via python script gives the following:
    2.7.5 (default, Mar 9 2014, 22:15:05)
    [GCC 4.2.1 Compatible Apple LLVM 5.0 (clang-500.0.68)]
Whereas via the terminal, the default version is the anaconda install I'd like to use, currently
    Python 3.4.1 |Anaconda 2.1.0 (x86_64)| (default, Sep 10 2014, 17:24:09)
[GCC 4.2.1 (Apple Inc. build 5577)] on darwin
I can do which python3.4 on the sys exec CL input to get the correct /anaconda/bin location, but if I try  python3.4 <file.py>, I just get a Seg fault.
I've found examples for System Exec use and instructions for calling python scripts with specific versions, but neither works with Mac (frustratingly).
I've also tried editing the Path Environment Variable, and tried getting rid of the python 2.7 install entirely, but none of these work either (the latter just causing errors all over the shop).
    So, in summary
I'd just like to know how to specify the python version LabView uses and to have use of the corresponding python libraries.
Either python version (2 or 3) will do, I'd just like to be able to use my libraries which came with Anaconda which I'll be writing my scripts with (which I installed as the correct packages are only compatible with a specific python version on Mac, which is not the specific version that Xcode was compatible with, argh).
All packages work normally when using the Anaconda version with the terminal or with Spyder.
Is there a function I can use other than System Exec? What am I missing?
    Please help.

I'm not debating whether it was accidental or intentional.  It certainly isn't helpful to post the same message twice.

  • Apple maps has received a poor performance rating just after introduction of the iPhone 5. I am running google maps app on the phone. Siri cannot seem to get me to a specific address. Where does the problem lie? Thanks.

Apple maps has received a poor performance rating just after introduction of the iPhone 5. I am running Google Maps app on the phone. SIRI cannot seem to get me to a specific address. Where does the problem lie? Also can anyone tell me the hierarchy of use between the Apple Maps, SIRI, and Google maps when the app is on the phone? How do you choose one over the other as the default map usage? Or better still how do you suppress SIRI from using the Apple maps app when requesting a "go to"?
I have placed an address location into the CONTACTS list and when I ask SIRI to "take me there" it found a TOTALLY different location in the metro area with the same street name. I have included the address, the quadrant, (NE) and the ZIP code into the CONTACTS list. As it turns out, no amount of canceling the trip or relocating the address in the CONTACTS list line would prevent SIRI from taking me to this bogus location. FINALLY I typed in Northeast for NE in the CONTACTS list (NE being the accepted method of defining the USPS location quadrant) , canceled the current map route and it finally found the correct address. This problem would normally not demand such a response from me to have it fixed but the address is one of a hospital in the center of town and this hospital HAS a branch location in a similar part of town (NOT the original address SIRI was trying to take me to). This screw up could be dangerous if not catastrophic to someone who was looking for a hospital location fast and did not know of these two similar locations. After all the whole POINT of directions is not just whimsical pasttime or convenience. In a pinch people need to rely on this function. OR, are my expectations set too high?
How does the iPhone select between one app or the other (Apple Maps or Gppgle Maps) as it relates to SIRI finding and showing a map route?
Why does SIRI return an address that is NOT the correct address nor is the returned location in the requested ZIP code?
Is there a known bug in the CONTACTS list that demands the USPS quadrant ID be spelled out, as opposed to abreviated, to permit SIRI to do its routing?
Thanks for any clarification on these matters.

siri will only use apple maps, this cannot be changed. you could try google voice in the google app.

  • Is there a way to build an App with CS5.5 that can run in older iPods

    Hello
Does anybody know if there is a way to build an app with flash CS5.5 that can run in older iPods?, just like with CS5?
Each IPA I build with CS5.5 cannot be installed in my iPod 8GB with iOS 4.2 and before with CS5 I could install all the IPAs there and test.
The lack of support to iPod 8GB would be limitating for the market and sales...
Is there some setting to build IPA to older iPods?
    Thanks

    AIR 2.7 release notes:
AIR runs on "iPodTouch 4th generation iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4iPad".
    But:
AIR 2.7 runs on iPod Touch 3rd Generation, too - but only on the 32GB and 64GB models. The 8GB model is in fact only an older 2nd gen iPod Touch.
We tested this and we even have some apps in the app store running on the iPod Touch 3rd gen.

They changed it a bit, but you can still close apps. Double click the Home button to pull up the currently running apps. Side scroll over to the app you want to close, then swipe up on the app *window* (not the icon at the bottom).
