Run Heuristic Location & Heuristic  Network

Dear Expert,
I need to understand when you run Heuristic Location and Heuristic Network
What's System looks at to Get "4 location product(s) was/were processed"?
He Looks to Product Combination or PPM's or Supply Chain Engineer ?
Appreciate Your Help
Regards
Rami

Hi
I am not sure how you are executing the planning interactive or in background.
If you wish to run the heuristic in interactive Supply Network Planning, you have the option of running a network heuristic, a location heuristic, or a multilevel heuristic. The multilevel heuristic is a network heuristic that also takes into account BOM components. Interactive Supply Network Planning does not have a location heuristic that takes into account BOM components.
In the background
If you select Network (Heuristic), the system plans the specified products at all locations of the supply chain model where these products are assigned.
If you select Location (Heuristic), the system plans the specified products at the specified locations. You can thus choose to plan only a part of the model for instance.
With both heuristic options, you can specify whether you want the system to take into account all the bill of material (BOM) components of the chosen products during planning. To do this, set this indicator: Take into account found components in planning run. The system then also plans the dependent demand of the products. However, with the location heuristic, the system plans only those components that have been assigned to the specified locations.
Thanks

  • Heuristic run @ destination location is creating the purchase requisition without source plant

    Hello All,
    Trust you are doing well.
Believe this is the good time to connect with you all get some advice on the below mentioned scenario:
Material (XXXXXX) is discontinued at source location (Plant specific material status: 90) but the same material
(XXXXXX) is still used in destination location (plant specific material status: 60). Here heuristic run @ destination location is creating the purchase requisition without source plant.
Here the customer expectation is that “SNP should not create the order, since the material is discontinued in source plant”
    Could you please advise?
    Regards,
    Prabin

    Hi Prabin,
You can change the SNP profile to NO PLANNING automatically and exclude the target location from the SNP run. Maybe you can try using Badi: SMOD_APOCF005.
This is what I would do:
1- Do not exclude the status 90 in the iModel.
2- Then when you change the status in order to discontinue a material at the source location you will be changing the status from 60 to 90 and you will CIF this modification to APO. At this time, I would use the BAdI: SMOD_APOCF005 to identify this situation. You will need to add a code in order to identify what are the possible target plants of your source plant and you will need to change the SNP Profile at the target location.. look for a BAPI for this...
Take a look of this document to see an example code of SMOD_APOCF005:

  • How to know whether a material run heuristic in apo?

    Hi Expert
I want to know whethere a material run heuristic in a heuristic job. We do not need to run heuristic manually.
Just like  a material run mrp in R/3 system in mrp job. Which  master data field in  need to maintain in product in apo?
    Thank you  : )

    Dear Liting,
The First part of your question is already answered by Datta.
If you want to know the fields than there are some on which the heuristics are run.
Product master -> Lot Size Tab.
Reorder point  --If the stock comes below the given level than the Planning will triggered.
    or
    Product Master -> PP/DS tab
    Planning Procedure.
    PP planning procedure.
    I hope this helps you.

  • AppV 5: Sequence shortcut to application located on network share

    Hello,
We have an application which is programmed to run directly from a network share.
However, it needs some parts installed locally on the client too, to make it work.
During sequencing using App-V 5.0, I installed the parts necessary on the client, and I created a shortcut to the network path e.g.: \\server\share\application.exe
The sequencing process works fine, and the application gets published correctly to an App-V client.
However, when launching the application we receive an error "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000142). Click OK to close the application."
In Event Viewer we notice following error in Applications and Services > Microsoft > AppV > Client > Virtual Applications: "The virtual applicatoin '\\server\share\application.exe' could not be started because the App-V Subsystem 'Virtual Shell'
    could not be initialized. {error:0x8DC02325-0x52E}"
We notice that the sequenced application shortcut references: "\\server\share\application.exe  /appvve:557B23AE-4942-4E3E-BE5F-1DA010EA7DAE_C7B3C423-6E9A-4CE9-AC18-59C7F18F3FA1"
When launching the application directly (\\server\share\application.exe - without appvve parameter) it works fine (but at that moment it's missing the locally installed client components).
When running the same application with parameter 'appvve', it fails (error message above).
When copying the application to a local drive, it does run succesfully when using the 'appvve' parameter, but unfortunately this is not a supported scenario for the application we're talking about. It has to be run from the network share.
So am I correct to say that App-V does not support running an executable located on a network share in the virtual bubble? Are there any solutions/workarounds to make this work anyway?
I tried mapping the network share to a drive letter, but that didn't help either.

I have used a vbscript to start the exe from within the package, install whatever you need, then make the vbs in the installdir locally (c:)
    Dim objShell
    Set objShell = WScript.CreateObject( "WScript.Shell" )
    objShell.Run("K:\Whatever")
    Set objShell = Nothing
Make a shortcut to the VBS and change the icon and stop the capture

  • How can I read published data from a datasocket server running in a different network?

    Hi all,
I have been trying to solve this problem but without any success. I want to develop data acquisition Vi to run on a computer on a remote location. I want to use the datasocket technology to acquire and publish this data so that in my office (in a different network), I can read the published data and perform analysis with it. I can successfully use this approach for the two computers in the same network but not when they are in different networks. My real problem is how to specify the URL for the acquisition computer in one network while the analysis Vi runs on a different network.
I have attached two Vis to illustrate my point (I simply want to be able to read the random numbers generated in the acquisition computer in a different network). The first Vi (RemoteDatasocketWrite.vi) will run on the remote computer with an IP address (192.168.0.110). My office computer on which RemoteDatasocketRead.vi runs has an IP address (192.168.0.11) and I can log in remotely into the remote computer using Remote Desktop Protocol with name (emelvin.001.eairlink.com) from my office computer.
Is it possible to do what I am trying to do or is there a simpler way to solve this problem?
I will really appreciate any help towards a solution to this problem.
    Thanks

Are you getting an error? The way you have it set up, you can have an error and it will never be displayed. Put and error control on your front panel and see what it gives you. Also, shared variables in a project can be useful. Look at some examples for that.

Who can shed some light on my ongoing connection problem.
After upgrading my iPad Air with IOS 7.06, I could no longer connect to the internet.
I have 2 MacBooks Air, 1 ipad mini and one iPhone 4S running on the same network, and they are all connected to the net and function well.
So I cleaned up the ipad completely, installed the latest firmware and reinstalled my apps : no connection.
I tried all things of resets and forgets. No result.
I have been fondling with my Airport Extreme 5 , but that did not help much.
This morning I went to a neighbor , hooked my ipad air on his network, typed the password and the thing all worked fine.
I have tried to connect the ipad air as an ethernet client, but that did not work. „Not enough power“ was the statement
    Ideas anyone ?

Yes I tried this manyfold. But did not work.  Reading on, I took Tesserac's advice. Shut down router and computer.
Start router after 15 minutes and wait another 10 minutes before starting the computer.
Et voila.... everything is back in working order,

  • How to locate my network security key

I wrote this same request a month or so ago and can no longer locate my 'saved' message.  Would someone please forward me the link again on how to locate the network security key so I may add another computer to my wi-fi.
And another question, will there be any change that more than one security key will appear and if so, how will I determine which key is the proper key to use?
    Thank you much.

The "key" is another word for your normal wireless network "password", sometimes called a "pass phrase".
The password generates a 64 character code of random letters and numbers. I doubt that this would be of any use to you, but if you want to see it.....
Open AirPort Utility on your Mavericks Mac
Click the AirPort icon, the click Edit
Click the Base Station icon at the top of the screen
    Click Show Passwords
More likely, you have a Windows Firewall issue, or Microsoft Security Essentials...if installed....is blocking the connection.  The anti-virus program can do the same thing.

  • Running mac on windows network

hello, I am thinking of getting a mac book but currently own a windows pc, could anyone tell me if you can run mac on same network, I have a linksys wrt53gs router and cable broadband. THANK LEE

"could anyone tell me if you can run mac on same network,"
Yes, is there is no such thing as "Windows network." Networking protocols are industry standard and platform independent. Therefore all major operating systems on the market today are compliant.

  • Work around for deleting images located on network

This may be obvious to some, but I thought I'd post it to help others...
You may know that Aperture refuses to delete images located on network shares. As far as I can tell this is due to the lack of a Trash on network volumes (being a safety feature in that your images are only REALLY gone once you empty the trash...)
    Work around:
    1. On a LOCAL disk, create a folder called "Delete_Me" (or similar
    2. Select the image(s) you want to delete and choose File > Relocate Masters and choose your "Delete_Me" folder as the destination and click the "Relocate Masters" button.
    3. Now with your selection still active, you can hit cmd + back-space, and the images will go to the trash.
Apple: A preference box something like: "Delete network files immediately" or even a hook that would check when you do the delete if the file is on a network share and then automatically do the copy and delete would fix this...

Many thanks, this has been an issue with my Solaris 10 file server.

Choose Edit Location from the Location pop-up, then just select the ones you want to delete and click the "-" button.

  • WRT300N, running "N" and "G" network possible?

After reading many of the messages about the WRT300N I hope I'm not sorry I purchased it just a few days ago. However, I see there is a known problem with mixed band. I presently have two computers running in the house and a laptop I use outside or if I'm elsewhere in the house. The one desktop is hardwired to the router and the other desktop and laptop have "G" adapter cards. In order to get these G cards working I had to switch to G Network Mode only... Hmmm, appears this is a known problem. I will be purchasing a new computer in the near future and plan to get a "N" card for the one that is presently hard wired to the router. It appears this will be a problem.. Anyone know a way around this, thought it was supposed to be possible to run "N" and "G" network adapter cards at the same time? Oddly enough I ran into this same problem in a hotel about three weeks ago, didn't realize the issue then. Thank you,

Let the n/w mode be mixed. Change the radio band to standard 20 MHz and standard channel to eithrt 6 or 11.

  • Host says off but guest is running and on the network

    2014 vray ...

I have the most perplexing issue. As the title states the host says the guest state is off but the guest is running and on the network. I am thinking it is happening during backup exec snapshots. It looks like the NIC dies out for a few min then starts back up. My guest is a 2008r2 standard running SQL 2008r2. My host is a 2008r2 datacenter running hyperv 6.1.7601. I have symantec vray edition and have had NOTHING but trouble ever since I "upgraded" to this version. I know my guest is going off the network as sql connections fail. I am not sure how to proceed. Suggestions?

  • Running Forte via a network file share (Part 1)

    G'Day
I would like to run Forte via file a share on all suitable machines.
Any experiences from the list would be much appreciated in this regard. (Is
it possible? Feasible - well let's find out...)
Here is what I expect I will need to do:
    1. Need a 60MB file share on the network - check
    2. Need a SOE ("typical") Windows95(8) PC - working on it
    3. Will need to install Forte runtime on this SOE PC using the file share as
root drive - waiting on 2
    4. Now test some local applications to run on this PC using forte via the
file share - waiting on 3
Q: What are the implications of running forte via the file share.
All I want is to run inhouse developed applications on any PC without having
to install Forte on each and every PC!
How much file transfer can I expect forte to generate?
If this works I'll have to work out how to set other SOE PC to use Forte via
    the fileshare.
I expect I'll have to set registry settings. Anything else? But more to that
    in Part 2.
Let's see how this works out first.

    Hi Dirk,
This may be harder than it seems. Forte uses a number of
files stored over a number of different directories all starting
with forte_root. Some of these files are only read, others are
also updated. Some have to be local, others don't.
We have done two things that are related to this.
    1) Our client partition is manually copied to a file server.
Clients use ftexec with a parameter to indicate the inter-
preted code repository, which is stored on this file server.
The client partition isn't installed on any of the clients.
    a) you can't use the launcher
    b) you can only deploy a new version if everyone quits
    their application
    2) Out unix development machine has three different forte
environments on it, each using their own directory tree.
They all have their own 'appdist', 'userapp' and 'repos'
directory, but other directories are symbolic links to the
same, single instance. Within 'appdist' and 'userapp', the
directories for 'forte', 'fscript', 'econsole', etc. are also sym-
    bolic links.
This way we minimize the duplicating of files, yet each en-
vironment thinks it has everything itself.
