Run ifrun60.exe in invisible mode

Hi,
I am running a form from a batch file and i want to run it in invisible mode,
please tell me how it can be acheived.
Regards,
Sandeep

zakaoullah gave a good solution.
Still, I do not understand why do you have to call/open a form without showing anything, and not rather call some procedures written in the form you are in or in a .pll attached to the form you are in. Because, usually, when you create a form, it is created in order to be visible and to interact with the user somehow.

  • Running AddOnRegDataGen.exe in batch

    I am running AddOnRegDataGen.exe in batch mode using the command line
    “AddOnRegDataGen.exe MyAddOn.xml 1.0 setup.exe setup.exe MyAddOn.exe”.
    MyAddOn.xml has the following contents:
    <AddOnInfo partnernmsp="MC" contdata="[email protected]" addonname="My AddOn" addongroup="M" esttime="120" instparams="/z" uncmdarg='/z"uninstall" /x' partnername="MyCompany ASA" />
    It works OK except from one detail; I cannot figure out how to set Estimated Uninstall Time in the ard-file. The esttime value in the XML-file only affects Estimated Install Time, while Estimated Uninstall Time still has the value 0.
    Does anyone know how to do this?
    regards
    Vegar

    Hi Vegar,
    There is a package called B1DE you can download from B1 SDN page -> SDK Tools. This package contains among others a simple installer creating automatically for you the .ard and setup.exe for your addon.
    Please run the Simple installer wizard from Visual Studio .NET (2003 or 2005) and you will have a .bat and a .xml files automatically generated in a directory called AddOnRegDataGen. This 2 files contains all you need to run the AddOnRegDataGen.exe in batch mode.
    Here you have a sample of the .bat:
    "AddOnRegDataGen.exe" "B1AddOnInstallerNET5.xml" "1" "B1AddOnInstallerNET5.exe" "B1AddOnInstallerNET5.exe" "AddOn.exe"
    And the B1AddOnInstallerNET5.xml pointed from the .bat:
    <AddOnInfo partnernmsp="SAP" contdata="Support" addonname="Addon1" addongroup="M" esttime="180" instparams="" uncmdarg="/x" partnername="SAP" unesttime="180" />
    Hope it helps
    Trinidad.

  • Running in invisible mode

    Hi,
    I have a Java Frame that i want to run in invisible mode. The problem is that i have to set it to visible first, then invisible otherwise it doesn't seem to execute. Also if i set it to ICONIFIED, the program doesn't run until it is maximized.
    How can i make it so i never have to make it visible and have it still run?
    Thanks for any help.

    First explain what you mean by "executing a frame". Hi, this is the first time i have done anything in Java. I am trying to run this java program from a C program, but don't want to see the window pop up at all. But if i don't have the f.setVisible(true) where it is, the viewer modules, which are capturing streaming data and writing to bmp's to not work. The same is true if i set to ICONIFIED.
    Thanks, hope this helps...
    public static void main(String args[])
    ms_standalone = true;
    Frame f = new Frame(AppID.getAppID().getAppName());
    f.addWindowListener(new WindowAdapter() {
    public void windowClosing(WindowEvent we)
    System.exit(0);
    f.setSize(352, 320);
    f.setLayout(new BorderLayout());
    int numCams = 0;
    StringBuffer concatURL = new StringBuffer();
    for (int i=0;i< args.length;i++)
    String arg = args;
    if (arg.startsWith("-")) {
    int eqidx = arg.indexOf("=")+1;
    if (arg.startsWith("-num=")) {
    numCams = Character.getNumericValue(arg.charAt(eqidx));
    } else {
    usage();
    System.exit(0);
    } else {
    if (concatURL.length() != 0)
    concatURL.append("|");
    concatURL.append(arg.trim());
    // create multiple viewers
    Viewer cv[] = new Viewer[numCams];
    for (int i = 0;i < numCams; i++) {
    cv[i] = new Viewer();
    cv[i].m_parameters.put(PAR_ACCESSORIES, "none");
    String tmpStr = concatURL.toString() + i + ".a";
    cv[i].m_parameters.put("url", tmpStr);
    cv[i].m_camNum = i;
    f.add(BorderLayout.CENTER, cv[i]);
    cv[i].init();
    f.setVisible(true);
    cv[i].start();
    f.setVisible(false);

  • Is there any way to run signcode.exe program under background mode

    Hi everyone,

When building the project i have use the signcode tool to sign my .cab files therefore the system shows me the "Enter Private Key Password" dialog and ask me to enter my password into the Password field.
    If all you guy have any ways for packing the project by the mechanism of the running signcode program under background mode. Below is my script.

  • Requirement is to run CMD.EXE under the Local System Account. So that we can map a network drive to be used by a windows service, which will be created by command: - net use z: \\servername\sharedfolder /persistent:yes

    Environment:
    OS:  Windows 7 32/64 bit, Windows 2008 Server 64
    bit/ Windows 2012 Server 64 bit
    Priority:
    - Critical
    Requirement: - Since
    the Windows Service is running under the Local System Account, we would like to emulate this same behaviour.
    Basically, we would like to run CMD.EXE under the Local System Account. So that we can map a network drive to be used by a service using following
    command
    net use z: \\servername\sharedfolder /persistent:yes.
    Already Attempt:
    We tried to launch the CMD.exe using the DOS Task Scheduler AT command.  Here’s a sample command:
    AT 10:36 /interactive cmd.exe
    But I received a warning that “due
    to security enhancements, this task will run at the time excepted but not interactively.”
    It turns out that this approach will work for XP, 2000 and Server 2003 but due to session isolation
    Interactive services no longer work on Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 and above.
      2.  We
    tried to create a secondary Windows Service via the Service Control (sc.exe) which merely launches CMD.exe.
    <Drive>:\sc create RunCMDAsLSA binpath= "cmd" type=own type=interact <Drive>:\sc
    start RunCMDAsLSA
    In this case the service fails to start and results it the following error message:
    FAILED 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
      3. One
    suggestion, we found to launch CMD.exe via a Scheduled Task, but
    it is not giving any option to launch CMD.exe in interactive mode; so that I can map network drive using net command.
      4. I read an article, which
    demonstrates the use of PSTools from SysInternals. I launched the command line and executed following command
    psexec -i -s cmd.exe
    PSTools worked fine, but It seems that in scope of Sysinternals Software License
    Terms. You may not "use the software for commercial software hosting services."
    Application will deploy on client, which will be like commercial,
    so we are not able to use PSTools.
    Kindly assist us for achieving the requirement. We have tried all the ways, but nothing is working for us. Kindly suggest.
    I will be really thankful.

    Hi Sir,
    Nothing worked from above for us. You can see our remarks on posted query.
    That’s why, we posted on forum.
    And there will not be any vulnerability, because, if we will use "net
    use ..."
    in network domain; definitely,
    we will provide username and password of mapped drive system.
    And, that system, itself is given by client; so that, there must not be any vulnerability; they are ready to provide user name and password.
    We need a way; by which we can complete the requirement. Kindly assist.

  • How to put some tabs in sales order item level  invisible mode

    Hello Gurus ,
    Good evening everybody ,
    We have some specific requirement from the client - Client does n't want few  end users to see the price details in sales so they want  the condition tab to be  invisible mode in sales order item lvel only for few users  i.e the condition tab  should not be displayed  for that user  is this possible  ?
    Note : I only have idea setting few fields in  sales order  but not tabs in sales order through screen variant -SHD0
    Looking for your inputs
    Thanks and regards
    Venkat

    Hi,
    There are a couple of options you can go with.
    1) You can use Transaction and Screen variants to create your own ZVariant and then put that to user profile.  Allow the user to run only with the variant you setup for the user via authorizations.
    2) Get GUIXT software by Synactive, to perform the above task for you.
    3) If you happen to have latest version of SAP ECC i.e. 6.0 with EHP3 or above, you can go with NWBC (Netweaver Business Client).
    Thanks

  • Request to run updater.exe from an unknown publisher starting firefox

    every time Firefox is started from initial turn on of computer (not from the computer being hibernated or in sleep mode), I receive a message to run Updater.exe from an Unknown Publisher. There is nothing to show that this is a Firefox application but, I am not receiving any threat messages either. Is there any way to find out where this Updater is coming from and if it is to be trusted?

    Do you use a Norton security suite? If so, I suggest checking with Norton's support on whether that prompt is legitimate.
    You will find numerous unofficial distributors advertising on Google for Firefox downloads. These generally are bundles of crap along with Firefox. You should check to make sure you don't have such a thing installed.
    Open the Windows '''Control Panel''', Uninstall a Program. After the list loads, click the "Installed on" column heading to group the infections, I mean, additions, by date. This can help surface undisclosed bundle items that snuck in with some software you agreed to install. Take out as much trash as possible here.
    You can supplement your regular security software with the '''scanning/cleaning tools''' listed in our support article: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]]. These on-demand scanners are free and take considerable time to run. If they finish quickly and especially if they require payment, you may have a serious infection. I suggest the specialized forums listed in the article in that case.
    Does that help?

  • Ifrun60.exe problem

    hi all,
    I am bit new to forms and trying to understand a few things.
    What is the significance of ifrun60.exe in 6i?
    what is its replacement in forms 10g?
    My DOS batch file logonPROD.bat has the below line for PRODUCTION
    C:\Oracle\DEV6I\BIN\ifrun60.EXE module=C:\PROD\XPE\logon.fmx
    when i execute the logonPROD.bat file the above form gets called as normal.
    then I created my own logon form which has an additional option for
    database connection ,and placed it in the right directory (TEST)
    the logonTEST.bat has the below line for Test environment.
    C:\Oracle\DEV6I\BIN\ifrun60.EXE module=C:\TEST\XPE\logon.fmx
    when i execute the logonTEST.bat file the NEW TEST logon form does'nt get called but the production form gets called.
    Can someone tell me what changes i need to do to call my logon form for TEST environment ?
    cheers

    > I am bit new to forms and trying to understand a few things....
    ... Can anyone suggest pls ?
    Maybe new to forums, too? You need to let the world turn a little before you get impatient for an answer. Some answers may come from other continents.
    > What is the significance of ifrun60.exe in 6i?
    It is the Forms executable that interprets your compiled .fmx file and runs the form.
    > what is its replacement in forms 10g?
    There is none. In Forms 10g, they only run in the web environment. You start a web browser, and the browser calls a java executable that interprets and runs the .fmx form.
    > when i execute the logonTEST.bat file the NEW TEST logon form does'nt get called but the production form gets called.
    Are you SURE your test "logon.fmx" file resides in the C:\TEST\XPE path?

  • How to use ifrun60.EXE in forms 6i in forms 10g ?

    I know If end user is going to run forms by double-clicking icons on his/her desktop (MS Windows operating system),so ..... creating a shortcut and point it to run the IFRUN60.EXE (Forms 6i executable) , will be good idea.
    "Target" will then look like this:
    C:\orant\BIN\ifrun60.EXE form_name.fmx scott/tiger@orcl
    that happened when we use Forms6i .... but when we use Forms10g ..... how we do the same ?
    as friend say to me , we suppose here to deploy the forms to web , but I want to deploy them to Local Network or at least to only my computer ...... so is there anyway to turn my computer to server and than deploy my forms ? or any solutions else ?

    In order to deploy forms successfully,not just to web,also to your local host.
    In your install oracle 10g directory:
    like C:\DevSuiteHome_1\forms\server\default.env
    So you have to configure "default.env" or create your file like "your.env" file,in the file,you have to set the path for running the form.
    If you set parameters correctly,you can put the URL into your IE or firefox.
    For example:
    I have an application "app".
    http://app:port/forms/frmservlet?config=default.env(If you use default.env)
    http://app:port/forms/frmservlet?config=your.env(if you use your define env).

  • Collection Data Form in invisible mode.

    Hi,
    We are using zcm 10.3 installed on SLES 11. Our clients are XP SP3. I have configured a collection data form with autofill and checked "Invisible mode for autofill only" In the autofill settings I have entered a environment variable. I have configured a Collection data form schedule to run "When a device is refreshed". The collection data form never pick up the environment variable value when running a refresh. When I right click on the ZenWorks notify icon and choose "Collection data form" the environment variable value configured in autofill is picked up.
    Autofill worked well when refreshing a device in zcm 10.2.2.
    Does anybody know if this is a known "bug"?

  • Show front panels of sub VIs when running a EXE (build application)

    I've created a exe file and it works fine. However, it only shows the front panel of main VI and I can not open sub VIs (it looks like they are all hidden). I know it can be done by creating a library file along with this exe file, but that's not what I want. I want to create a single exe file that shows several front panels, and that can be run with run time engine. Is there any way to show front panels of sub VIs by running a exe file?

    In the development mode, how are you displaying the front panels? Did you right click on the subVI and select SubVI Node Setup and choose 'Show Font Panel when called/Close afterwards if originallly closed' or did you choose the same options from VI Properties for each subVI. If the second, then the app builder will automatically retain the front panels of the subVI. If you chose the first option or if you are using VI Server to open a front panel, then the default setting in the app builder is to remove the front panels. You would then have to go the VI Setting tab in app builder and edit the settings.

  • Forms runtime (ifrun60.exe) in 9i

    Clearly 9i Application server is nothing but Developer 6i with a 9i badge. The directory structure is still 'forms60' and 'report60', and the forms server binary is 'ifsrv60.exe', etc. HOWEVER - there is no longer an 'ifrun60.exe' binary. This binary would, in the 'real 6i', allow you to run client/server.
    This was a useful 'testing alternative' to using the web version, and also, for our customers (who may not be ready to deploy a full-blown web product), was a viable alternative.
    Are Oracle refusing to deliver this simple binary for marketing purposes? Or do they want to stop supporting it? Has anyone tried copying ifrun60.exe from the 6i package? Thanks.

    Chris,
    Oracle9iAS is oracle's WEB application server and as such it only contains what is needed to run forms on the web (currently verion 6i).
    If you want to develop or run forms in client server you don't need oracle9iAS.
    Version 9i of forms is expected towards the end of the year.

  • Can I run the emulator in -Xautotest mode with an external API?

    Hello,
    I am currently creating an implementation to a JSR and I want to test the implementation with the test harness.
    I start the harness and then the test agent. I want to start the agent in autotest mode, using the -Xautotest switch, like this:
    emulator.exe -Xautotest:http://localhost:8080/test/getNextApp.jad
    This will download the test JAD and JAR and run them.
    The problem is this: When running, my class path must also contain my JSR implementation (the implementation I am testing). But the JSR implementation is not part of the downloaded JAR.
    Is there any way I can run the emulator in autotest mode, and have an external API in the classpath? The classpath should contain both the downloaded JAR and my JSR implementation JAR.
    Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

  • Oracle Installer Crash running ODTwithODAC10202.exe

    Can someone please help asap with the following problem? It sounds like it might be related to the psapi.dll problems others are having.
    I installed the Oracle Dev Tools about a month ago on my Win2K workstation and have been using ODP.NET with no problems since.
    I now need to reinstall ODT from scratch, so have run ODTwithODAC10202.exe, which successfully unzips files into /install and /stage. I'm then launching /install/setup.exe. This is when the problem occurs.
    A command prompt appears stating all installer requirements are met, then the Oracle Universal Installer window appears for about 2 seconds, before disappearing without a trace. Digging into C:\temp I found a file called hs_err_pid2052.log which was created at the time the installer crashed (see content below).
    What is happening here? C Shay - I would like to follow your advice re reinstalling the JVM, but there doesn't seem to be any obvious way to do so. Bear in mind I have admin privileges on my box, but Add/Remove Programs is not available to me.
