Run info package - urgent please

Hi, I have to run infopackage for date selection oct 2007 in production now. Everyday it runs in the night. For now, I created 1 infopackage and scheduled start immediately. I checked the monitor. It's showing 0 records. but the request is still running. In details, it says, scheduled and further activities are stopped. I have a feeling that it's not running now. It's scheduled to some other time. Under the status in monitor, it's showing wait until 11/21/2007 16:16:47. how do i run it now. It's urgent, someone please answer.

No. The wait time which is defined in the IP is if it doesnt get completed in 1hour(which u changed) then the job will fail with time out error.
I think you are using the scheduled IP. Use someother IP make it as full load give selection and click start in the schedule tab.(Hope ur clicking start and not scheduling the IP in the later time). Please chk the radio button start load immediately is enabled.

Hi,
When you are loading from source system i.e. datasource to target, you will always have to use an infopackage to load to PSA and a subsequent DTP.
When loading for instance from DS to Cube, you only need to schedule a DTP.

Run info package from an ABAP program

Hi all,
I need to run an info-package based on values entered by user in a selection screen.
How can I implement these values in the info-package using the abap program?
I've searched the forum and found FM RSSM_SDL_START_INFOPACKAGE and BAPI_IPAK_START but there is no option to enter the selections, also I have found the option to select var type 6 - abap code in the info-package (tab data selection) but didn't understand if I can connect it to an external abap program.

Along with BAPI_IPAK_START, you need to use the FM "BAPI_IPAK_CHANGE"...
there you have the table with structure BAPI6109SEL, which is used to pass selections to infopackage at the run time...
Sequence u can use is BAPI_IPAK_START, then BAPI_IPAK_CHANGE and finally BAPI_IPAK_START as per ur requirements...

How to move or copy the Package - Urgent Please

I have created all my data elements, screens, database tables in my own package - zanns_school, at my lab. I want to carry them to my home SAP System. Systems are neither in LAN, WAN.
I want to copy all the contents of my package in an external drive and again reload all of those objects of my package at my home SAP PC.
Please suggest and assist at the earliest

You can't do that,
SAP objects cant be copied from one place to another.
Only thru transport it can be availbale from one client to another,Its not like java or some other files u can copy and past.

Error while running info package

Hi,
I am getting a error while loading the data till PSA.
Transfer structure field not contained in the data source.

Hi,
The error is coming because you added some fields in communication structure which are not available in data source. Probably you have enhanced the data source and you added the enhanced object in communication structure but data source is not replicated to match with enhanced data filed.

Oracle Services still running preventing install - Urgent please help!!!

I'm trying to install Oracle reports on Windows XP and keep getting message:
"You must stop all Oracle services and applications using Net8 for the Net8
installation to be successfull" It thinks sql*net is running but as far as I know
it's not. How do I fix this problem?

ok, what are the service names for sql*net and net8 client?
del srv (delete server) software is there.
it is free at internet.
install that software and run thru command prompt
like:
in command prompt
go to delsrv folder in command prompt and give
command like
delsrv <service name>
then that service will be deleted from services.

BAPI to connect a XBP system to a BW info package

I need to find a BAPI to connect a XBP system to a BW info package. Please could anyone tell me how does this happen in general and also the BAPI that handles this. Since I am very new to BW , it would be greatful if you could suggest me some materials to go through.

Hello,
One way to delete previous initialization request is to delete the Datasource entry in RSA7 delta queue of source system. This will automatically delete the initialization requests.
If you are able to delete all the data from your datatarget, then right click on the datatarget and say delete data, it will delete all the requests, then you could goto INIT infoPackage and delete the init request by selection INITILIZATION OPTIONS FOR SOURCE SYSTEMS.
Usually you must first load the INIT W/O data transfer request first followed by repair of full.
If nothing of this helps, you will have to ask the BASIS administrator to take the request out.

Running the info package twice in bw 3.5?

Hi all,
There is a process chain existing to load
ods 1 to ods 2 for a particular region on a different time sone
I need to load the same ods 1 to ods 2 for another region in a indian time zone.
When i look at the new procees chain i am getting
infopackage -> ods activation -> further processing -> infopackage -> ods activation - fruther processing!!.
But the existing process chain looks like
infopackage -> ods activation -> info package -> ods activation!!
which has to be the same for the new process chain too.
When i run the new process chain
infopackage -> ods activation -> further processing -> infopackage -> ods activation - fruther processing!!.
It is causing the issues it doesn gets executed after further processing!!

I think there is still some build problem.
In you existing process , infopackage -> ods activation -> further processing -> infopackage -> ods activation - fruther processing!!,
Just remove 3rd and 6th step. After removing these 2, you have to link as below:
start -
> infopackage 1-> ods activation for ods1 -> infopackage2 -> ods activation2 . Please also check the variants for each existing process to make sure you have added correct IP and ODS for all the processes.

Firstly, are you installing iTunes for the first time or are you updating your current version of iTunes?
If you're installing iTunes for the first time have you tried redownloading the installer package? Perhaps the file you downloaded originally is corrupted...

If you've tried that, then try installing iTunes as your computer's administrator. To do this right-click the install package and choose "Run as administrator".
If you're updating iTunes to the most recent version try repairing the Apple Software Update program on your computer. It's under the add/remove programs.
1. Open the control panel
2. Open Add/Remove programs (called "Programs and Features" in Windows 7)
3. Navigate to "Apple Software Update" in the list and click on it
4. Click on "Change" then select "Repair" (or just select the repair option in Windows 7)
Once you repair this, try running iTunes and the update again.

      you can precalculate and distribute(thru mail) the query, workbook and webtemplate through online link or html file to the receipents (users).

     you can schedule the infopackage daily at your desired time .In the schedule tab ,select the start later in background and in the scheduling option give the date and time and give the period values as daily.

Error in Info Package running.

Hello Experts,
When I am running a info package of data source 0Employee_Attr , request becomes red after some time and it gives a message at monitor screen on detail tab that:
"Error occurred in the data selection" .
How could I resolve it.

The TIme Machine volume does not have that checkbox.
I think the issue is with your Finder...
Go to Finder "Go" menu hold the option key and choose Library. Then go to Preferences trash these files:
com.apple.finder.plist
com.apple.sidebarlists.plist
Then, restart, or log out and in again.
(You will have to reset a few finder prefs the way you like them.)

Urgent,: Info package prob in process chain creation..

I wanted to create a process chain for my master data, so then i started creating it, initially when i started executing info package which is the first step to undertake, the list of info packages is not generating when in clicked upon search icon. Rather it says "no data selected". Am not familiar in creating process chains. This is the first time i started creating.. Could you plz assist me with clear information in how to resolve this?

Problem while scheduling info package using HR datasource.

hi experts,
while scheduling the info package i am getting the following error.
Delete init. request

init. again with same selection
I think by deleting the setup it will work...
am i right or is there any other solution for this problem..

Hi,
You are correct there is no setup table concept in HR extractors.
But there is a cache. Usually HR extractions will be full load. But it also supports delta. There is no setup table concept in HR.Once you perform your init (with or without Data transfer your delta path is set and delta will follow else can go for Full loads alone. It will extract data from the relevant tables like generic extractors. The data will be filtered based on the selection parameters.
Except for payroll and time management rest all sub-functional areas supports only full load.
In case of full loads, old data needs to be deleted to avoid duplicated records in the target.

Delta Update
This DataSource supports delta updates. The source system fills table HRMS_BIW_PPDELTA with the date and time of the first data transfer (initialization) and the date and time of all subsequent data transfers. This information enables the system to perform a delta transfer. It only selects posting runs with the above statuses whose last changed on date is after the date in table HRMS_BIW_PPDELTA.
If you use DataSources 0HR_PY_PP_2 (Posting Documents) and 0HR_PY_PP_1 (Auditing Information), you must transfer data to BW from both DataSources using the same selection criteria.

HR is basically master data centric because it is always related to people related Info Objects, such as Employee, Person. In most of the cases HR master data is defined as Time Dependent to enable historical evaluation. HR R/3 system records a specific period of validity for each Info type.
Procedure to extract the HR data:
Activate Data Sources in the Source system (R/3)
Replicate Data Sources in BW system:
Activate business contents in BW.
Populate HR cubes with data by scheduling info packages.
Note: Master Data should be loaded first
