Run Opmnctl with another user

Can i run opmnctl command with another user that have the same groups of the oracle user?

Depending on what command you are running it might work (e.g. status) but you will run into issues (known and unknown) for most of the commands (start/stop) unless you know and tweak all directories/files permissions.
As an example, OPMN maintains a file under directory called "states" (under $OH/opmn/logs directory) that gets auto generated/updated every time either OPMN or managed process(es) is started or stopped. The default permissions on this directory is 700 which means can only be operated on by owner (the user that installed the product).
Along with directories/files permissions there is process ownership issue too. When a component is started its corresponding process(es) is owned by the user who owns the OPMN server process. If a different user (different than who actually started OPMN server) starts one of the managed process it might collide and might lead into some unknown issues.
So to be safe and being in "supported" mode it is always recommended to use the same OS user that was used to install the product.

That's crap - This is a clean brand spanker install of Win7 and there was nothing b4 I put the oem drivers from Toshiba back on.
I looked at dozens of support pages and forum blogs and tried for hours to get a copy to download - including incognito and other logins but because my default PC name is also my MS Windows live ID the same error was repeated.
I keep away from the non MS sites for these things and with good reason - there were heaps of similar users with the same issue or very close to it that had downloaded from a supposed MS copy from eValue or digital river etc and the next
thing was total corruption of the OS.
EVENTUALLY I found a LIVE MS chat on a support site in the US and she gave me a link to a slightly older version which will need updating and some reg edit changes but so far, so good.
The point is - what a crock !
I should be able to just keep all my software, drivers, updates, service packs, and versions that I have upgraded in the MS store.
If Microsoft aren't going to support XP or Office 2003 and eventually 2007, vista & Windows7 not far behind??? then that's still no excuse for them to put these restrictions and limits when I OWN my copy of the software!!

Windows 7 64-bit with MS Outlook 2010. I've seen this now probably 10 times. When I first installed iTunes, I selected:
Preferences -> Devices -> "Prevent iPhonse, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically".
and on my iPhone, I selected:
Info -> Sync Contacts with: Outlook.
Info -> Sync Calendars with: Outlook
Info -> Other -> Sync notes with: Outlook
This works great, and the settings stick. As soon as apple releases any new version (even minor) of iTunes and I install, I immediately receive: "...the information on the iphone is synced with another user account", and have to merge my calendar and contacts, but then once I get into iTunes, I find that ALL of the above settings (prevent syncing, sync calendar, contacts, notes) get reset and are turned off! I am running as a user account with Admin privaleges, but I don't right-click -> "Run as administrator" when I perform the iTunes update.
To reiterate, once I change the settings back, things work normally until the next iTunes update at which it gives me that sync error, and resets my sync options.
Any idea? Thanks!

Create another user for the PC with your name, and try syncing that way.
This way it wont conflic with the other user. -

I have a form that has a block that should display some data from another users tables. (The other user's name is dynamic, it's selected from a list box)
I wrote a stored procedure to get the data from other user's tables.
When I compile the form and run it with the same user I compiled, it works without any error. But when I run the compiled form with another user I get the ORA-04062 (signature of procedure has been changed) error.
I tried setting REMOTE_DEPENDENCIES_MODE to SIGNATURE in init.ora but it didn't help.
My Forms version is 6i with Patch 15.
Database version is 9.
Here is my stored procedure:

Maybe somebody can tell me another way to do what I want to do. (getting a list of values from another users tables)I think it should be a better solution to create a package,

Running Solaris 10 on Sun VirtualBox, have one user account in 'Staff' where I want to administer some aspects of my system for the time being as part of best practice for administration. I login to my user account, open a terminal, su - root and then run smc&. I get an error in the terminal window about DISPLAY environtment variable not being set. echo $DISPLAY reveals that it is null, so I export DISPLAY=hostname:0 and then try to run again and I still get the message. I am able to execute smc& from the shell prompt if I am logged into the root session. The only change I have made to the system operations at this point was to move /export/home to a different disk/slice and that mounts fine so and should not have caused an error anyway. If I execute xauth as root and list I get something like this:
hostname:0 {encryption type} {RANDOM}
hostname/unix:0 {encryption standard} {RANDOM}This is to say it would appear to be that this is set correctly. [This example|http://docsun.cites.uiuc.edu/sun_docs/C/solaris_9/SUNWabe/ADVOSUG/p33.html#NETWORKAPP-88347] leads me to believe that a null DISPLAY should still allow programs to process by the Xserver/gnome .
My question then is:

You might want to check out CURRENT_SCHEMA.
"The CURRENT_SCHEMA parameter changes the current schema of the session to the specified schema. Subsequent unqualified references to schema objects during the session will resolve to objects in the specified schema. I have about 3,500 photos sitting in dropbox and just purchased my first mac yesterday. My husband and I each have our own Ipad and our own user id's on the mac. I moved two of the folders to Iphoto and it shows up on my screen in the right folders. However, on my Ipad, it shows all of them under one Photostream and not organized. They don't show up on my husband's "side of the computer" at all.

If you use the Photo Stream, the organisation in iPhoto will be lost - there is just one endless stream. YOu could sync your photos using iTunes. Then you will see the synced albums in the Photos.app on the iPad.

On the same iPad? Do you mean on the same mac?
If you want to share an iPhoto library between two users on the same mac, the iPhoto library should be on a separate disk partition or even better, on a separate external disk. Then you can set the flag "Ignore ownership on this volume" to avoid permission problems. Both of you will be able to browse the iPhoto library and can edit the photos within.

If both of you want to keep separate iPhoto libraries but share the photos, you could share selected albums as Shared PhotoStreams and invite each other to browse them. This would require iOS 7. Do you have iOS 7 on your iPad? Each Shared Photo Stream will be shown as a separate album on your iPad .

Can I share an Account with another user?
I am a current Thunderbird user, as are my coworkers. One of my coworkers is getting bogged down with emails he shouldn't waste time on.
What I need is a way for me to access his email and filter out junk mail and emails he shouldn't be concerned with. So he would need to see any emails I have flagged or starred indicating they need his attention when he opens his email.
In addition to this, my coworker will also need to be able to access and read emails offline. Ideally he would be able to access his email while on a plane and see the flagged emails here as well. Then once he is able to access the internet again, it would be best if he and I would be able to see the updates that he made while offline.
Ultimately, I need to know if I can continue to use Thunderbird and tag team an email account(s) with another user.There's nothing to stop you both setting up the same account, though there's a risk the server won't let you both use it concurrently.
You'll both need to use IMAP if your colleague is to be able to see the results of your activities.
An alternative is for you to assume total ownership of the colleague's account, do your triage and then send on approved messages to a new account set up for your colleague purely for this arrangement. Mail Redirect would allow you to pass messages to your colleague which would appear to have come directly from the original sender, whereas regular email forwarding loses the provenance. -

Seeing held material document with another user I.D.

I am new to this forum. My query is - Is it possible to see a material document in the held list of MIGO screen if the document has been held up with some other user I.D. I held up a goods issue document from MIGO screen and i can see that document in held list of MIGO screen with same user I.D. But when i am entering MIGO with another user I.D. this document is not showing up in the held list. How can i see it in held data list of the MIGO screen with the second user I.D. ?

Create another user for the PC with your name, and try syncing that way.
This way it wont conflic with the other user. -

Then set up your two personal iCloud accounts as secondary accounts by going to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>tap Add Account>iCloud, and entering your separate iCloud account IDs. Use thes secondary accounts to sync Mail & Notes, Contacts and Calendars. This will allow you to keep your data in you secondary accounts separated rather than merged (although you will still be able to view each other's data on the shared iPad).
