No I haven't synced my iPhone with the computer I'm currently using. The computer that I normally sync my iPhone with is being repaired.

Now I have a few more questions: If I mail my broken iPhone to Asurion, will I be able to get my data off of my iPhone once Asurion has it? Hello mlazaretti. Vacation time is awesome. (Especially a road trip!) Since you will be going out for two weeks, you never know if having extra data may come in handy. I highly recommend switching to the next tier up so this way you have more data. This way it is only $10.00 more versus $15.00, and you dont have to worry about overages. Then change back at the start of the next billing cycle.

It works nicely over home wifi, but for example, i am sitting in my car, phone is in my pocket and I'm using the iPad, call comes in and i don't want to start digging for my phone.
Is there any way?

well yes, but it basically makes wifi for the other devices, it basically mimics wifi.

it would be common sense to make it work this way also. directly from device to device. no bounce between WiFi router

iTunes will need to be set up on your computer however you can set up a new Apple ID to use for your iPhone. Really all you need to do is Assign a new Apple ID to your iCloud account.
Follow the link to create a new Apple ID: https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/
After you do that, on the device you want to assign a new iCloud account go: Settings > iCloud > Delete Account and then sign in with the new Apple ID.
NOTE: This does not effect iTunes, all of your devices can continue to use one shared iTunes account under your original Apple ID for downloading apps and backups. This simply gives iCloud a place to sync the individual devices information and will stop iCloud form merging all the information, such as contacts, with all of your devices.

When using my ipad2 in calendar landscape, month mode, I now see my end time of appointments running over into the next day. (i.e. ends at 1:00am now seen on next day as one long bar). any way to hide that?

I just updated to ios6. My month view in calendar now shows the start time and end time of appointments running over into the next day. I.E. start appointment on Friday at 5:00 pm, end it at 1:00am Saturday moring. I used to only see the one entry on Friday. Now the appointment runs across both dys showing start and ent time. Can I only show start ttme on month view as I did before?

The activation server for Audition 3 was shut down by Adobe several years ago.
You now need to download the non-activation version provided by Adobe here
Error: Activation Server Unavailable | CS2, Acrobat 7, Audition 3
Install then enter the new serial number provided by Adobe at that link. Your existing serial number will no longer work.

Sorry, this is incorrect. The limit of 5 relates to the number of computers you can authorize to use iTunes, NOT the number of iOS devices you can sync with a single iTunes library. Running my iPhone Application to run as a background application

I need to run my iPhone application as a background process with no user intervention. As per my analysis, Apple does not allow any third party application to run in background.
My question is :
1) Can we get some signed UID(Unique ID) for our application from Apple so that it allows my application to run in background?
2) If possible, what is the process followed for that like Apple will test my application and provide special privileges to my application?
3) Cost involved to get that UID?
4) Or any other alternative as per Apple's terms and conditions.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

You are correct in your analysis that third party applications cannot be run in the background.
While it is unlikely that you'll be able to find any workaround to that rule or information on the screening process, your best avenue for finding information related to developing an APP is via the Developer's resources (you may need to register to access some of their resources):

They should, but it's worthwhile checking with the App developer to see whether the application was optimised for iOS 4. You can usually find this out by checking the app's page within the AppStore.

Display 'continued' if repeating frame runs over to another page.

I have a repeating frame of wildly varying lengths. If I don't page protect the frame, then sometimes there are one or two lines that run over to the next page and get lost. If I do page protect the frame, sometimes very little prints on a page and I get large blank spaces.
Ideally, I'd like to take out the page protect and let the frame run over but add something like "continued on next page" before the page break and "continued from previous page" after the page break.
An ideas?
