Run PS Installer and Re-Install PS...

Thank you for your help in advance.  I recently installed Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 and followed the prompts from the Creative Cloud Installer.  After being prompted that installation was successful, I proceeded to open Photoshop CC only to get the prompt as follows: "One or more files in the Adobe Application Support folder, necessary for running Photoshop, are missing.  Please run the Photoshop installer and re-install Photoshop."  Needless to say, I'm doing something wrong.  Would you please share with me where the PS installer is?  I cannot find it for the life of me... in any of the folders.  Do i "Uninstall" PS and then re-install?
Thank you!

  • Please run the Photoshop installer and re-install Photoshop

    Hi!
    I just upgraded to PS CS% from PS CS3 Extended. Download went well as well as installation.
    After, i deactivate CS3 then i uninstall it using Adobe installer.
    Each time, i opened CS5, i have the following message:
    "One or more files in the Adobe Application Support folder, necessary for running Photoshop, are missing.  Please run the Photoshop installer and re-install Photoshop."
    I reinstalled it but i'm still having the same message. I didn't play much with it but it seems to work properly...
    What could it be?
    Regards!

    The problem most likely is uninstalling an older version after installing the new one.
    The Uninstaller removes certain support files which it can't tell are the new ones.
    The solution in your case is to uninstall CS5 first, then uninstall CS3, run the Adobe CSClean Script, Repair Permissions with Apple's Disk Utility, only then install CS5, and the Repair Permissions with Apple's Disk Utility again.
    All Adobe upgrades are full installers and do not need to find a previous version of the software installed.  When they don't find a previous version of the software installed, they'll just prompt you for the old serial number.
    It's not mandatory to uninstall older versions, but if you don't want to keep the older versions, uninstall them first, before installing a newer version.  I have all versions of Photoshop from 7.0.1 through 11.0.2 ("CS4") happily coexisting on my machine.  I can even run two versions of Photoshop simultaneously, just by launching the older version first and assigning separate scratch disk volumes to each.

  • How do I have the creative cloud installer and apps install on a different drive other than my main C drive?

    I have been having trouble figuring out how I can put the installer and adobe apps on another drive other than my C drive. Please Help me. My C drive is getting too full.

    The CC app itself will always install on the system root drive as will several shared components. Once the CC app has been installed, you can choose a different install location for the main programs in the app's settings.

  • WIndows failed to start. (0xc0000225); cannot run Safe Mode and no install disc

    Hello,
    I am currently having a huge problem where my computer is stuck on "Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the case. To fix the problem:..." (SEE IMAGE)
    I have tried finding solutions online but none have worked. My computer DOES NOT go to safe mode if I press F8 nor do I have an 'installation disc'. In fact, I tried the recovery discs from my brother's laptop and the computer doesn't even recognize that they're
    in the disc tray.
    My computer is an Acer Aspire M3470 running Windows 7 Home Prem OA.
    If it helps, this occurred when I tried running Spybot S&D due to Malwarebytes refusing to start up (pretty sure I had a virus of some sort).
    The other image is what shows before the error screen; pressing CTRL-F does nothing.
    Thank you in advance!

    I have obtained an installation ISO and put it on both a disc and USB but neither work. I get a blue screen with the following text and cannot proceed no matter what I press:
    "RECOVERY You pc needs to be repaired. The application or operating system could not be uploaded because a required file is missing or contains errors...
    File:\WINDOWS\system32\winload.efi Error code: 0xc0000225
    You'll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media. If you don't have any installation media, contact your system administrator or PC manufacturer.

  • AIR Application Installer and Only Installing Select Files

    I have a AIR desktop application where I want to allow the user to install the base application and the later add more media files to the application as they purchase the media files. Would it be possible to add the media files using the standard AIR installer? Or would I have to resort to a custom installer?
    When AIR installs an application does it complete delete the files from the previous install?
    Would it be possible to update the base application and not touch existing media files?
    Can you pass an install path to the AIR installer?

    I have done something similar with a document management app.
    Once the app was installed it would check for a DVD / Thumb drive and silently copy all the documents from another drive to the (ASD) AppStorageDirectory.
    You could also download your media files to the AppStorageDirectory as well.
    When my app gets updated I have a function that deletes obsolete files from the ADS and leave the files I need to persist untouched.
    Here is a snippet that reads available drives and looks for a specific named drive and then creates an Array listing all the files which can
    then be copied using  SOURCE.copyToAsync(DESTINATION)...
    var os:String = Capabilities.os.substr(0, 3).toLowerCase();
             var currentDrives:Array = (os=="mac") ? new File('/Volumes/').getDirectoryListing() : File.getRootDirectories() ;
             var fileList:Array;
             var fileCount:int = 0;
             var fileListArr:Array = new Array();
             for each(var file:File in currentDrives){
                 //trace ("Drive: " + file.name + " Size: " + file.size);
                 if(file.name.toString().indexOf("KnownNameofDVD")>-1){
                     trace ("Drive: " + file.name + " Size: " + file.size);
                      fileList = (os=="mac") ? new  File('/Volumes/'+file.name).getDirectoryListing() :  new  File(file.name.getDirectoryListing()
                     for(var l:int = 0 ; l<fileList.length; l++){
                         //trace(fileList[l].nativePath)
                         fileCount++;
                         fileListArr.push(fileList[l].nativePath.toString())

  • Computer will not boot up.  I have tried running disk utility and re-installing OSX.  It says disk locked

    I am new to Macs and have bought a 13" Macbook Pro and a IMac 21.5" 14 months ago.  I have only used the Macbook pro about 15-20 times and after upgrading to Maverick it will not boot up.  I get the white screen and a spinning circle.  I have tried Disk utility repair and even re-installing the OSX, but it says disk locked.  I do not recall setting any password protections or passwords.  I now have a brick with a lit up Apple logo.  If anyone knows how I can bypass the disk lock error or reset the laptop, please let me know.  This has not been a pleasant conversion from PC's.  Even my IMac blacks out from time to time and both happened right after my factory warranty expired.

    The internal drive is malfunctioning. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider.
    Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional — ask if you need guidance.
    If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to an empty drive from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.

  • Create installer file to install AIR and my application

    I want to create an installer file that will package the AIR runtime along with my AIR application and install both for the user.  I would also like this installer file to install the Java runtime and a Java application that my AIR app will interact with via AIR's Native Process API.  This thread mentions many possible installers:
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/759855/what-are-good-installanywhere-replacements-for-i nstalling-a-java-ee-application
    I'm wondering if any of you have had to do this with AIR applications and have a recommended installer or know of any reasons this might not work well with AIR apps.
    Thanks!

    One thing you can do is bundle the JRE installer with your AIR app.  Your app installer will be the usual AIR installer and only install the AIR portion.  The first time the user runs the AIR app, the AIR app can validate the JRE version and if it's not adequate then it can initiate the JRE installer.  The is sometimes a nice way to go because you can continue using the AIR update framework and push newer versions of the JRE installer with new versions of your AIR app, if necessary.  Here's more info:

  • Uninstall SOA Suite from Business Vista and then install again

    I have installed SOA Suite 10.1.3 on Business Vista laptop. Before this I had to change oraparams.ini of installation package to add entry 6.0 (Vista) for supported OS. Installation was on computer without Oracle database, so automatically it was made for Oracle lite. Installtion was sucesfule and also some configuration assistants (e.g. BPEL) were successful, but Web services assistance failed (there was error messages during execution of some SQL - some object couldn't be found - so - maybe failure was due to lack of running database, the ultimate error message was that running server (what? DB? AS????) cann't be found). So - I have decided uninstall Suite (I had to change oraparam.ini of installer as well - to add 6.0).
    Before this I had installed Oracle DB for Vista (sucesfully) and now its services are working.
    So - the problem is that SOA Suite unistall now proceeds almost several days - there is 100% CPU consumption of both cores, HD free space slowly fluctuate +/- 0.2 GB, there is no records with word error in unistall err log and no additional message execept for 'deinstall in progress...' on standard output. What shoudl I do? Are there some toolls available to remove SOA without uninstall... How long it be?
    My ulitmate aim is to remove current SOA installation and the install it again - I hope that as now I have DB installed, then SOA installation and assistants will comlete sucessfully... Yes - I am using Vista, but I can hardly imagine that Oracle suite cann't be Vista enabled.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello
    How did the uninstall and reinstall go?
    I started installing the 10.1.3 SOA suite (because that was the only version certified on Vista as per oracle readmes) with out clear installation instructions - and probably hoping the instructions for 10.1.2 will be valid to some degree. Instead found the install screens have been drastically altered. There is no option to install the infrastructure db - looks like the basic isnatll will install a lite db. And the advanced install seems to need an existing db. I have a 10g db installed but am not sure if i need to so additional setups like pre-creating some schemas - i exited the installation and started researching - your post is the closest to what i'm doing. Can you point me to any documentation on installing 10.1.3 on Vista?
    Ideally i'd like to install R2 but that does not seem to be certified on vista.
    Thanks in advance.

  • How do I de activate and re install LR5

    Hi, I installed LR5 into a MacBook. I understand it can only be used in one computer. I have just bought an i-mac and I would like to de activate the first installation and re install the software into the new computer. How do I go about this?

    If you have a single user license it can be used to have two activated installations, so you should be able to have it activated on both machines.
    Normally to deactivate a product you open the Help menu in the top toolbar and choose Deactivate.

    I've tried to download the flash player several different times and each time i get a connection error message.It downloads fine and when i run the file to start install, it installs up to 5% and then i get the connection error message. I've tried disabling my antivirus software, closing my browser for install and nothing.Can someone please help me? I'm using Firefox.

    Hi!
    I had the exact same issue, being on a mac. If you are on a mac and the connection error message occurs, then use this link http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/latest/help/install_flash_player_osx.dmg
    It allows you to download it offline, which is what I used.

    Hi, Mommacat26.
    Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
    This usually means that a required component is missing.  Start with completely uninstalling iTunes and all of it's components in the order specified in the article below.  Once this is done, download and install iTunes.
