Run Time VB6 got hung up in NIDAQDelay function of nidex32.dll in new PC running XP

I installed the Ni-Daq 6.9.2 in a new PC running XP OS. The "nidex32.dll" is in the SYSTEM32 folder. However, during RUNTIME, the VB6 program got stuck on the NIDAQDelay function. I saw the "NOT RESPONDING" on the VB6 Application, on the TASKMANAGER. I don't have such issue with a older PC running XP OS
I suspect there might be a PC incompatibility. I would appreciate any idea that would help with this situation.

Hi Tomax,
The crashing of NIDAQDelay is system dependent. The crashing of the application can occur on one system, but be absolutely find in another. This very behavior has been discussed multiple times across our forums. The end result is if NIDAQDelay is causing problems, we suggest using the Windows SDK Sleep().

Got hung in the cube index deletion

Hi Gurus-
I got an issue,. where in my cube indicies got hung,.
In daily PC monitoring the PC failed at the index deletion of a cube. I just repeated the process again failed.
So finally i went into the cube manage and analysed , there was a red request in the cube manage four days before, It was a file upload which went to red,. So i deleted the red request which was between the green requests.
Now went to the PC and tried to repeat the cube's del process, monitored the same in sm37 the drop index job in sm37 is running for a long time,. Killed the job and tried to delete indicies manully from the performance tab of the cube manage.,
Even this is running quite long time in the dialog mode.So I stopped the Transction and scheduled for the delta,. now the request is in yellow mode for days for 3000 records,..
--> checked with basis ,. No locks , deadlocks were found in SAP and DB level,.
-->No action is being traced by the sys on this cube,. I mean for any action ,.the jobs in sm37 is with two lines,.nothing is ther to analyse,.
Plz help me in this regard ,.
need the delta in the cube,.users are screwing me ,.

Hi,
Try running RSRV and whether there is any error in the cube.
In BI7.0 RSRV they have given so many new option go for combined test for that cube which will tell you whats the error.
Else ask the basis folk to try to create the index at database side if required.
Also Check if there is any open HUB or infospoke related to that cube having dependancy with that cube.

Database got hung on OCFS2 / SAN env.

We have 3 nodes rac on OCFS2 and OS is rhel 4.
The database, datafiles, listener logs, alert logs are on SAN storage.
The users come through jboss pool to access the database. None other than application users tax the database most of the time.
We are frequently experiencing hang situations. The database hangs all of a sudden in certain situations -
1. While we are taking export for any table
2. While running copy command
3. sometimes when there is normal traffic.
The database can't be down as its a 24 x 7 support.
But if anything causes hang, then we have to reboot the servers one by one.
This hits the users and application we are supporting.
We have opened a tar also for the same but still did n't find a sure shot solution.
If someone has come across this situation please share your experiences.
Please suggest what we can do to improve the situation.

I was little reluctent to open a tar since my experince says that its better to troubleshoot the issue yourself instead of spending time with the Oracle support :)
Well, I got some more information on this : the sql for the process id of ASM instance is :
Alter Diskgroup mount all;
It looks like it is unable to mount the diskgroup and get hunged at that point , is it due to the new disk added to the system or do we missed something after adding the new disk.
Also, the ASM process can not be killed from unix box while the ASM is down.
Will appreciate your time if we can move in any directions from here ..

There is nothing wrong with your Dell, it will work fine with any MacbookPro. I have been using Dell displays for over 12 years with many different Mac models. I have two 21" Ultra Sharp displays working side by side to design a Keynote presentation right now.
The issue your having is with the way Keynote takes control of the video output to both displays, it sends the presentation signal to one and the presenter display to the other, this is set up in;
Keynote preferences > Presenter display.
If you want to show a wesite or another app on either display, use application switcher:
press the the command key on the keyboard, then the tab key; a row of applications will show what applications are running, choose which one you want to show. Use command > tab to return to Keynote.

What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later...
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

What signal is it picking up? Are you joining wireless network? If so don't.. it is really poor way to run things.
Is it connected to a cable modem? Full router or just a modem type?
Try a reset?
Plug in via ethernet.. turn off everything.. wait 5min then restart cable modem.. if that doesn't work, give it a longer off cycle.. 15min or overnight.
We need more info.

He needs to have his own account, the sooner the better.
As for content, non-protected songs can simply be copied to his own new library, and he can use them. As for protected content and apps, anything he still wants will have to be replaced.

If your backup copy of the old computer was not stolen, then use it to put everything back.

Sounds like you got a used computer and paid new for it, that's illegal.
"Open box" is a return by a previosu customer and can't be sold as new, you should have gotten a discount or informed of such.
Once obvious sign is it doesn't come with free iLife on it, as the drive was erased.

For what it's worth, you posted this in 2011, and here in 2014 I am still having this same issue. Over the last two days, I have had to unlock my apple account 8 times. I didn't get any new devices. I haven't initiated a password reset. I didn't forget my password. I set up two factor authentication and have been able to do the unlocking with the key and using a code sent to one of my devices.
That all works.
It's this having to unlock my account every time I go to use any of my devices. And I have many: iMac, iPad, iPad2, iPad mini, iPhone 5s, iPod touch (daughter), and my old iPhone 4 being used as an ipod touch now. They are all synced, and all was working just fine.
I have initiated an incident with Apple (again) but I know they are just going to suggest I change my Apple ID. It's a simple one, and one that I am sure others think is theirs. I don't want to change it. I shouldn't have to. Apple should be able to tell me who is trying to use it, or at least from where.

You are aware that there the app may have downloaded and been placed on the second screen. Not the main one. Can you swipe to the right to see if it is there?

Once you purchase or download an app it will always be associated with the Apple ID used to download it. When that app requires and update you must use the Apple ID and password used to download it in the first place. The only way around this is to delete the apps the require the old Apple ID and download or purchase them again with the new Apple ID.
