  • Itunes update will not install help - read details - help

it will start updating like normal but when it starts to install the following messege comes up -
"the feature that you are trying to use is on a network resource that is not available
click OK to try again, or enter an alternative path to a folder containing the installation package 'itunes.msi' in the box below."
i have searched for the file itunes.msi but i cannot find it, as if it has been deleted or summit. i done a search and i can only find it as a hidden file. i cannot change the file or use it as it says that it is for older versions of itunes.
i cannot delete itunes as i have tried the add/remove programs option but it asks for the itunes.nsi file again.
i have tried deleting the file manually but this doesn't work either.
itunes will work normally but i cannot update as i want it to be able to get the 3.0 update when it is released.
does anyone know how i can deal with this option so that i can update itunes and preferably keep my existing music and video files.

  • The latest iTunes update will not install.

    I get an error message,
    Program:c\Programfiles R6034
An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. Please contact the applications support team for more information.
I removed iTunes and attempted to reinstall, no luck.
I also tried a system restore but it would not restore to an earlier point.  Nothing was changed.
An unspecified error occurred during system restore.
I have had no problems with previous updates to iTunes

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

  • The new itunes update will not install properly and now itunes wont work at all

k, so I tried installing the new update for itunes and now it wont work at all. it says that the mobile device isnt installed. i have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes 4 times now.

My issue is it wont even reinstall onto my computer
Yes I'm aware of that. The procedures are also for trying in cases where iTunes can't be reinstalled due to a "Could not start Apple Mobile Device service" message.
If you're getting a different error message relating to the Apple Mobile Device Service (or Apple Mobile Device Support) when you try to reinstall iTunes, post back to let us know what that error message says. (Precise text, please.)

  • ITunes update will not install because of Bonjour

I am trying to update iTunes 9.2 but it tells me it cannot install because older version of Bonjour cannot be deleted, How do I fix this?

Doublechecking something before proceeding, annette. Are you also being told that the bonjour.msi file (or bonjour64.msi file) can't be found?

  • Itunes update will not install

itunes does not update. It says a new version is available. Iselect "download new version" but it does not download

More info would be useful - donyou get any erroe mesages, does it not start to download, or does it start but then stop part way through the download ? If it's the latter, and you get a network timeout, then some people have had success after temporarily disabling their firewall and antivirus whilst the download is taking place.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
    and paste into:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

    Hi Tamekia,
I am sorry to hear nothing has worked yet. I have looked up some additional information and possible solutions. Follow the steps in this document to perform a level-three uninstall, register the Windows Installer Service, and then reinstall the HP software. An uninstall and reinstall of the software deletes and overwrites any of the files that might cause the error and resets the Windows Installer. HP recommends that you download the latest software from the HP Web site to remove any files that might be causing this error.
Level-three uninstall, and register the Windows Installer Service
Note: The title of this document is not specific to the issue you are experiencing or the operating system you have, but the 3 steps and instructions are what I suggest we do to resolve the issue you are experiencing.
    Hope this helps.

can someone please help me or has any one had the same problem? thanks

can i put it into disk mode if the computer doesnt recognise it at all?
    Yes, you can.
"Putting your iPod into disk mode" is simply a process that involves pressing a few buttons on your iPod, getting it into Disk Mode.
To put your iPod into Disk Mode, follow the steps in this article -> Putting your iPod into Disk Mode
As Bryan said, see if the iPod is recognized by your computer when it's in disk mode.

my IOS7 update will not install.  It is telling me it is unavailable after it tries to install.

Too many people trying across ITunes now.  Backup device, then disconnect it back update directly from the device.  I have complete two iPhones and two iPads.  Plan on about 15-30 minutes depending on your download speed.
    Good luck!
