RunLoop and notification

Hi,
I want to notify threads for certain events. I create thread, AddObserver for notification and call CFRunLoopRun. this will block thread for infinite time. i have to stop RunLoop. Ok now problem is that how should i stop runloop for specific thread waiting for some notification, i.e suppose i am created one thread and registered for "com.change.event" notification. When notification occurs i check name with "com.change.event" notification then i have to call CFRunLoopStop to stop, but how it will stop the thread waiting for "com.change.event" notification? am i getting some wrong with runloop mechanism? Shall i need to use custom input sources?

Just out of curiosity, how come you can't register for the notification on the main thread and then spawn a worker thread when you receive the "com.change.event" notification. If the sole purpose of the worker thread is to receive that notification then you might be better off creating the thread post notification.
If you can't do that I think a safer way to do what you are describing is would be to create a message port and stick it in the runloop. In iCal and Notifications on a notebook, is it possible to expand the notes window to make it easier to read and write notes? In the past, I have used Outlook calendar and tasks and I was able to expand the windows which allowed me to put a great amount of details into either the notes section in events and tasks. It would be great to be able to do this in iCal and Notifications as well. I am using a Macbook Pro with OS X 10.8. Thank you very much for assistance with this.

How to activate control center and notification center in ios 8.1.3

I have iPhone 5s whit iOS 8.1.3, sometimes I can't access control center and notification center by sliding up or down on screen till I turn my device off and then turn it on. What is the problem?

Go to Settings > General > Restrictions, make sure "Deleting Apps" did not get turned off.
If it is not a restrictions problem...
Try resetting:
Hold both the home and power buttons at the same time until the Apple boot logo appears. No data will be lost.

Z10 Volume and Notification Issue

Hi,
I am facing frequent no volume and notification issue on my Z10. once i restart the phone it is getting resolved but this is really irritating as i have to do this restart process atleast 10 to 15 times a day as the problem is occuring frequently. definitely it is a software issue not an hardware issue please help me in resolving the bug...

HT201412 All sounds are mute tho mute is not on. Keystroke sounds and other phone sounds but they ring tones and notifications are still working period I have tried turning the phone off and on please help

All the keystrokes sounds in different sounds that go with the phone have stopped working do you know how to make them go again? The ring tones and notifications down this still work but not that keystrokes are other in phone sounds. Is there something I can do other than turn the phone off and on to restore them?

Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as NEW.
If the basic troubleshooting steps don't work, then you'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation and probable replacement.

BO FC 10.0 problem with alerts and notifications for Workflow

Using AIA for Error Handling. Logging and Notification Services

In our project we usie OSB and BPEL for integrating different applications.
There is a suggestion that we should use AIA to just use the Error Handling, Logging and Notification services from AIA. I am not sure about this use case, as most of these services mentioned can be replicated in BPEL. Except for the AIAAsyncExceptionHandling BPEL process, i guess all other functionalties provided by AIA can be easily developed in BPEL or OSB alone.
However, would like to hear from you guys about this particular use case. Is it advisable?

BBM Group updates and notifications not showing up in Hub? The notifications are turned ON in Group settings. And all BBM notifications are enable in the Hub, still nothing shows up. Picture comments, addition, status updates simply dont show up. My device is on 10.0.10.58.
Any workaround?

Thank you for the sugestion, but it was working fine both on the lock screen and on my home screen. I check all my settings and it is how it was from Friday, when I got the iPhone 5s. It just stop working. The only way I can fix it is by shutting down the phone. It will work for a while, then it won't.

Cannot click on sub-menus and notification prompts in Mircosoft Exchange when using Firefox.

When I access Microsoft Exchange web app from Firefox I've can no longer click on pop-up sub-menus and notifications that I could previous use.
For example, when I go to empty my deleted items folder and select empty folder, I get this notification (menu 1) that I now cannot click on. All I can do is just hit 'enter' to close the menus without actually making a yes/no input.
Similarly, when i go to move folders and get this pop-up menu (menu 2), I cannot make any selection, and the 'enter' to close method does not work. All I can do then is close the page.
I have tried disabling firefox's pop-up blocker but that did not rectify the issue. I can still use the sub-menus in other web browsers so this is a firefox specific problem.
Any help in identifying the cause and remedying this would be greatly appreciated.

How can I keep iPhone 5 mute and viberated for all the sounds and notifications with the mute button on?

If turn on the mute button, my iphone 5 is mute. But I can not get informed if the alarm or timer ends. iPhone 5 is mute and doesn't viberate. I want it mute but viberate under the mute button.
The Timer cann't viberate with the mute button on. I want it viberates without sound especially when I study in the Liberaby. I need to practice my pace with the Timer. I don't know whether it is because of my mistaken operation or because of the fact that the iPhone 5 can not make it.
I think it should work like this, the mute button can mute all the sounds and notifications and at the same time, the phone can viberate to keep me informed when a new email comes or there is a twett or the timer ends with viberation.

MAM RFC Error with Order and Notification SyncBo's

Hi everyone, can you please advise on a problem I'm having when downloading 2-WAY SYNCBO MAM objects.
I am able to download all syncbo's to my client with my username. This includes Orders and Notifications.
But.....whenever I use a different username only some of the SyncBO's come over. I am missing MAM25_001 and MAM25_010 data. Here is what I have done so far:
- Ensured username had exactly the same SAP security profile as I do, including the MI authorization objects.
- Ensured username was configured the same in the IMG.
- Re-generated and re-replicated my SyncBo's.
- Checked table MEREP_10100. It showed no Order or Notification data.
It does not make sense why everything works for me, but not for other usernames on my network.
Here is the RFC error I get from the Middleware using MEREP_MON:

Z_MEREP_GEN_S01_____MAM25_010 has finished for run number 0000019624 and runtime counter 17.

Could you please reply the SP levels of the MI Client, MI server and MAM application?
Also is your client device a PDA?
You could try out few things ( not sure whether they will help)
1. Sync several times (may 6 times) for the other users.
2. Remove the MAM application for the one of the other usernames from the webconsole(which is not able get the data) and reassign it.
3. Try the username on some other device.

There is a field of status at the CS notifications. The tcode for customizing this field is OIBS but in which table can I find the related data? I'm also looking for the other tables of CS, service order and notification.
