Running 10.4, which browser?

I've got a mac Mini, circa 2008?9? and it works well---much more computing capacity than I ever use, so I feel no real need to "upgrade" since I'm grading pretty well already.
At any rate, running Firefox is tough because I'm on OS 10.4 and my microprocessor's an AMD.
Any suggestions for finding a browser that runs well with this all?

2008 would not be PowerPC nor AMD, it would be Intel. 2005 and earlier are PowerPC.
October 26, 2007 is when Mac OS X 10.5 was released. Thus you can't be running 10.4.11 on a 2008 or 2009 Mac, because no Mac can run a Mac operating system older than shipped with it.
The first step is to identify the Mac. Go to Apple menu and select About This Mac. That will tell you if you have a PowerPC or Intel processor, and which
operating system you are really running.
Firefox is in fact the best browser for 10.4 to 10.4.11, as it has the best Flash support. See my FAQ*:

Everytime i try to open my Firefox i get a window that pops up asking me which browser i want to use to open it. After choosing Firefox it asks to run a C:/Program Files (x86)/Mozilla Firefox/firefox.exe.

Never seen anything like this, half tempted to stop using Mozilla for this sole fact. PLEASE someone help me.

Same error message, I disabled tab mix and made sure I only have the newest version of Java, restarted firefox, now it seems to be fine no error yet on Pogo games or pictures upload to ebay which were the biggest problems besides hanging. I had also had disabled AVG secure search yesterday but that did not solve the issue. Now I will try to add back in AVG search...I have very few adds ons, also the note embedded about re- installing a toolbar went away, my old one did not work with FF4, so I installed Yahoo toolbar but the message still did not go away until I applied this fix. Hopes this helps someone..

As you probely know: Netscape doesn't support the same functionality as IE.
To gain the maxium functionality from IE without solving problems in Netscape, the customer has decided to work with two different stylesheets(one for IE and one for Netscape).
Now my question is, how can I determine in Portal in which browser(IE or Netscape) it is running.

The browser ID string is a HTTP request parameter. How you get to it depends entirely on what you're programming in. You want to get the value of the User-Agent parameter (for example, in CGI, this is HTTP_USER_AGENT).
However, I'd advise against doing things this way unless you really understand how HTTP works on many levels. One common problem people run into on sending different content based on the browser is that proxy servers will happily cache everything and send content intended for one browser to another.
I have not seen any IE functionality that Netscape does not also have that is worth this hassle, but that's just my very stubborn opinion. :-)

I've found that Chrome appears to be the fastest and has two-finger swipe.

lol. And how accurate that answer is. A smooth running Safari is impossible to beat. Firefox is popular as are Chrome, Opera iCab and Camino, so really what you find the easiest to use. Remember Safari is the default browser in all Mac OSXs for quite a long time now, so as I say, if it is working well and quickly for all your needs it's intergral interaction with the OS is often a pleasure to work with, but like Ralph, I don't want to get into a religious war!

AL11 is a transaction that shows your application server something like an windows browser.
If you want to store file in your application server then you can write a code which uploads the data in to a file on application server.And you can run your code in background also.
Use function module :SAP_DATA_CONVERT_WRITE_FILE to write file on the application server.
If you want to upload file manually then use TCODE :CG3Z.

UNABLE TO RUN APPLETS ON A BROWSER

I am unable to run applets on a browser which run well on an appletviewer.
I kept the class file in the same directory as the web page,but it's only showing the applet window, and not showing it's contents.

Safari. But as with any browser, speed depends on what type of internet connection have, high speed being the fastest.

I have a Macbook and iPhone and like to back up to iCloud. However, my work computer runs Outlook 2003, which I know will not work with the iCloud. The company has no plans to update anytime soon. Since the calendar and contact list on my office computer are my primay ones, I hard sync through iTunes. The problem is that any data synced from Outlook 2003 to the iPhone from iTunes does NOT later backup to iCloud. Is there a solution?

Interesting question. Others have provided the direct answer (no, massive security hole), and a little time with a search engine finds various existing discussions of autorun-related topics (eg: here and here and here), and a link to the Do Something When tool, and there is the DeviceListener example in the Xcode kit and to adding a folder action where the volumes are mounted. See the topics for details. Haven't tried this stuff, though.

I use Firefox when a site doesn't work well with Safari. Some people like Google's Chrome, but I find it too instrusive and do not trust Google's security. You can download Firefox from firefox.com.

I just encountered the same problem on my 2 month old MBPro. I found a work around by changing USB ports. As for the actual cause or the reason why that worked, I dont know. The USB port I was using works fine with my phone or other USB devices.

How to run a project which gets parameters from a batch file

I use to run a program, which gets parameters only by interactive mode, using a batch file as you can see below:
# myprogram < batchfile.txt
Now, I'm updating its code by SunStudioExpress IDE and I'd like to run it from the batchfile. I have noticed that the project properties window has the option run -> arguments, however this program doesn't accept arguments this way and for changing it, I'd have a hard job.
Does someone know how to run this project and to get its parameters from batchfile?

Ah, it appears that when you run the project, "<" is passed as one of the arguments and is not treated as input redirection.
Sorry, it looks like it is not possible to do the redirection; and it looks like a bug to me. Could you please file it through bugs.sun.com? It shouldn't take long as the problem is evident now.

Yes.
Basic AirPlay: Assuming both devices are on the same network and that AirPlay is not turned off on the Apple TV, then simply tap on the screen when you are watching content you wish to stream to your Apple TV, then tap the airplay icon that appears in the control bar, choose the Apple TV from the menu that appears.
Mirroring: When displaying the content you wish to mirror on the iPad 2 (or better), iPad Mini, iPhone 4S (or better), swipe from the bottom of the screen, tap the AirPlay icon and choose your Apple TV from the list of devices (iOS 7 or better) or double tap the home button (quickly) and swipe the bottom row of apps to the right to reveal the playback controls, tap the AirPlay icon and select your Apple TV from the list of available devices (pre-iOS7)
