  • Problem about showing report via Portal after modifying BWReports.css

    Hi folks,
    I use BEx 3.X.
    I wanna make title of table column to be shown in the center of table cell.
    So, I modify class SAPBEXstdItem in BWReports.css, and I changed text-align of SAPBEXstdItem into 'center'.
    I run the report via Web Application Designer (SAP BW 3.x).
    the title is located in the center of table cell.
    However, I run the report via Portal, the title is still located on the left of table cell.
    I don't know why.
    Could you help me to solve the issue?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Error when trying to run delivery report via OWA

    When I click 'search' to run a Delivery Report via OWA I get the error "Sorry! We're having trouble processing your request at the moment. PLease try again in a few minutes".
    It does this contstantly no matter how many times I try. And it's not as if the server is struggling with resources or anything, that's fine.
    The following event shows up in the server event log too at the same time I try to run a report:
    Event ID 12014
    Microsoft Exchange could not find a certificate that contains the domain name NMSMAIL01.nms2k.int in the personal store on the local computer. Therefore, it is unable to support the STARTTLS SMTP verb for the connector Applications and Printers with a FQDN
    parameter of NMSMAIL01.nms2k.int. If the connector's FQDN is not specified, the computer's FQDN is used. Verify the connector configuration and the installed certificates to make sure that there is a certificate with a domain name for that FQDN. If this certificate
    exists, run Enable-ExchangeCertificate -Services SMTP to make sure that the Microsoft Exchange Transport service has access to the certificate key.
    I wonder if anyone has had this particular error when running delivery ports. I don't want to caryr out any changes until I'm sure it's the right thing i'm doing for the right reason.
    Thank you

    Hi,
    If the issue persists, I recommend you follow the steps below for troubleshooting:
    1. Please stop all the Exchange services on CAS Server and then stop IIS by running the iisreset/stop command.
    2. Locate to C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET, delete all the files and folders after taking a backup.
    3. Start all Exchange services on CAS Server and then start the IIS by running iisreset/start command.
    4. Locate to C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files, once user logon via OWA and then go to Options, new folders like OWA, ECP, will get created automatically.
    After the above settings, please check if users can run delivery report via OWA.
    Hope it helps.

    Have you done any reinstall activities or applied patches recently? I have seen this when I was patching a multi server environment where the reporting server had one patch level but the fr web had the old patch level. I would inspect the sizes and dates of your financial reporting jar files on the different servers to ensure they match.

  • Oracle 9ias Reports within Portal

    We have published several Oracle Reports to Portal by configuring Reports 9ias Reports Services and then by registering the Reports Server and Reports Definition Files within portal, this works as expected.
    However, several of our Oracle reports point to another oracle database server, when these are run from within portal an exception is raised (REP-1202: ORACLE logon not specified). I can only assume that this is because the Oracle Reports run from within Portal are unable to connect to the external data source. Our existing portal reports connect work OK using a db link. Does anybody know a way to overcome this problem? We were thinking about Single Sign On or do we have to modify the portal PL-SQL package to provide a connection string for each Oracle Report?
    Cheers
    Dan

    How did you try to connect to the remote DB?
    Create a TNS entry on the node where your reports server runs, and specify it in the "userid" parameter: scott/tiger@myRemoteDB.

  • Unable to run a report through Portal.

    Hi All,
    I am not able to run a particular BEX report through portal.
    I get a white screen and no pop-up for selections and later nothing happens.
    I have checked my Roles but no changes has been made.
    My other colleagues are able to run the report.
    Please let me know what could be the possible reason/solution for such an issue.

    are different roles assigned?
    i.e., for you and for your colleagues.  Please try login with your id in their PCs and vice versa.
    let check the compatibility. if you are failed to execute in that PCs also, then it should be authorization issue. Ask your basis folks to add that particular info area and info cubes to your role.
    Hope this would give you clear pic.

  • Running Discoverer reports into portal using SSO portal login - help

    Hi,
    I am trying to run disco reports into oracle portal using discoverer portlet providers -list of worksheet. What I want to achieve is as follows
    1) login to portal using SSO userid /pwd - Done
    2) Enable discoverer for SSO - Done
    *3) Use discoverer list of worksheets to show reports into portal but want to filter the list of worksheet to currently logged in portal user. This so that users looged in only sees the reports to which they have access in discoverer - Need Help*
    *4) Once user runs this report then I want to filter the discoverer data based on users login or portal group - Help*
    Can someone please help with issue no 3/4 urgently.
    Mant thanks
    Ganesh

    Hi Michael,
    Assuming I have created the private connections using CAPI I still have my doubts as follows
    Do I have to then login as each portal user and add the list of worksheet portlet for each user and selecting
    "check the box called Display a different list of worksheets by allowing users to customize database connection and then check Show a default list of worksheets using connection, changing the connection to user's connection."
    Considering we have 500+ users this will be huge cumbersom task for me.
    Also when I tried to do this before loggin as each portal user when I logged in as second portal user I could see the list of worksheet portalet added by the first user which means I have to edit it but even that was not possible because it would not let me edit as only the page own whi created the portlet was allowed to edit (that is the first user)
    OR
    Do you have to give portal user permission to edit the page so that they can log on themselve to add the list of worksheet portlet on the page by selecting their private connection and selecting
    "check the box called Display a different list of worksheets by allowing users to customize database connection and then check Show a default list of worksheets using connection, changing the connection to user's connection."
    Finally I know someone has made it work using URL links and it works as follows
    1) Map the portal and disco user into a table
    2) Create disco private connections
    3) when portal user loggs in and click on "Show my discoverer report" it then runs a PL/SQL package which in turn identifies the private connection details and creates a URL out of it as follows
    [http://portal.ccm.ac.uk/discoverer/app/partialConnect?password=IRTIMUDV123_=qplus=VDUMITRI=browser_selected=connect=RELATIONAL=QPRIS=viewer]
    clicking on this link open discoverer with private list of workbook/worksheet.
    Please advise which way should I follow.
    Thanks
    Ganesh

  • How to run the report via application server

    Report not running?
    hi All,
    I am calling the report via forms, In application server i had recompiled the reports in two different format too.
    1. myreports.rep
    2. myreports.jsp
    I have called the report from the menu and i used code like below
    Declare
          V_id Varchar2(100);
    Begin
        V_id := Run_Report_Object('myreports');
    End;but i am getting following error.
    Frm-41219:Cannot find report:Invalid ID.and subsequently an another too.
    Frm-40738:Argument 1 to builtin RUN_REPORT_OBJECT cannot be null.please guide me
    kanish

    I using Forms 10g R2, i store the recompile version in Application server.
    Good, so you can refer to the metalink note I mentioned above, as per storing the reports in the application server, the default place for running reports is not a folder in the FORMS_PATH, the REPORTS_PATH is set in the $ORACLE_HOME/bin/reports.sh file, pointing by default to the sample folder - $ORACLE_HOME/reports/samples/demo, for testing purposes you can put your report there and try it again, or you can modify the REPORTS_PATH variable in the reports.sh file to point to the directory you were mentioning.
    Note: I am calling the report throug menu using the eariler posting code.
    I would recommend to create a Form to call the Report, I am not sure if there are restrictions about invoking a report directly from the menu.
    About the code, you are missing a lot there, refer to metalink note mentioned above, here is an excerpt from that document.
    PROCEDURE TEST_REPORT IS
      repid      REPORT_OBJECT;
      v_rep      VARCHAR2(100);
      rep_status VARCHAR2(50);
    BEGIN
      repid := find_report_object('report5');
      SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid,REPORT_EXECUTION_MODE,BATCH);
      SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid,REPORT_COMM_MODE,SYNCHRONOUS);
      SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid,REPORT_DESTYPE,CACHE);
      SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid,REPORT_DESFORMAT,'html');
      SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid,REPORT_SERVER,'repserver90');
      SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid,REPORT_OTHER,'paramform=no pdeptno='||:dept.deptno);
      v_rep := RUN_REPORT_OBJECT(repid);
      rep_status := REPORT_OBJECT_STATUS(v_rep);
      WHILE rep_status in ('RUNNING','OPENING_REPORT','ENQUEUED')
        LOOP
          rep_status := report_object_status(v_rep);
        END LOOP;
      IF rep_status = 'FINISHED' THEN
        /*Display report in the browser*/
        WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT('http://<YourServerName:8888/reports/rwservlet/getjobid'||
       substr(v_rep,instr(v_rep,'_',-1)+1)||'?'||'server=repserver90','_blank');
      ELSE
        message('Error when running report');
      END IF;
    END;
    In my eariler version 6i (2 tier) when i call the report it invoke parameter form. will 10g also behave same like 6i?
    Yes, there is still a parameter Form which runs in an HTML page.
    *1. Should i want to create any Report_Path, Report_classpath ? if yes ,where should i ?* It will depend on your configuration, the easiest way is to setup the REPORTS_PATH in the $ORACLE_HOME/bin/reports.sh file, if you are configuring the reports server to use environment ids, that would not work and you would need to setup the REPORTS_PATH directly in the reports engine configuration file .. $ORACLE_HOME/reports/conf/rwserver.template.

  • Running Oracle report in Portal 3.0.8 cause session invalid

    Hi,
    We are runnung Oracle portal30 3.0.8 in Window 2000 environment.
    In one of the jsp portlet,
    We set up a href link to run Oracle Report

    Once the report is submitted. the session got invalid....
    We need to close the browser and start again. Then everything is working
    fine as long as not running the Oracle Report.
    When this is done in portal30 3.0.7., there is no problem at all. Is this a known bug and is there a fix for this??
    Thanks

  • How to create a jobsteps for a new user to run a report on portal

    Hello Experts,
    Is there any program that automatically creates a jobsteps for the new users for
    a role??
    My company BW roles are mapped with R/3. so whenever a new user is created in a R/3 role

    Now the problem is if any new users are created in r/3 and mapped with BW. the report
    fails to run for the new users unless and until they really login in to the system.
    For ex: I have 5 new users which are created in R/3 and properly mapped with BW. But
    report fails to runs for the new users.
    ERROR: Jobs step fails for the User X
    Is there any programe that automatically creates a jobsteps for the new users??
    Please advice.

  • Running Oracle Reports via a client using system.exec call from war file

    Hi all,
    I am trying to deploy a war file application to a J2EE 10.1.3 application server. The deployment successfully completes. However testing the application fails.
    When testing, the application reveals that calling a Oracle Reports 6i client (using a cmd line exec) from the war file returns application errors. The errors we get from executing the call below (using debug statements), creates this error:
    OperatingSystemCmd: cmd = D:\Oracle\Dev6i\BIN\rwcli60 MODULE="CLTMLST" USERID="<userid>/<pwd>@<db>" DESTYPE="FILE" DESFORMAT="PDF" DESNAME="<path>\<pdf filename>.PDF" PARAMFORM="NO" BACKGROUND="NO" SERVER="r6i.world" TOLERANCE=0 ADVCODE="<param>"
    OperatingSystemCmd: Command returned 3
    WrsRunReport: Done executing report
    WrsRunReport: Error running report Return code 3
    Error on Screen is REP-0178 : Cannot connect to reports service.
    However running the same command from a operating system command prompt in windows reveals that the command runs successfully.
    Is there any particular OC4J J2EE settings that are required to get this statement to run properly?
    Any help is most appreciative.
    Cheers
    Rodney

    Hi All,
    From much research and experimenting to get this to work I looked at the java.lang.Runtime class and noticed that seperate processes can be started using this very important Java class.
    The first thing that I experimented with was in regards to seeing the environment OC4J runs against. Using the java.lang.Runtime class I executed a standard "cmd /c set" command in my Windows environment, and noticed that Oracle Application Server uses its own environment and not a standard windows login environment for its OC4J containers. Apache Tomcat on the other hand uses the standard user login environment.
    So to get the application to be able to work properly we needed to override the particular environment the process needed to be able to get it to work. There is a exec command which allows you to override completely the environment for a process you would like to run. This method call does not in any way shape or form change the standard OC4J environment. This was done by executing the same "set" but with the overriden environment. Note that no environment variables from the OC4J container are carried into this new environment.
    Cheers

  • Running reports in Portal- URL vs RDF

    I've got a content area in portal 3.0.8 which contains two items-- a URL link to my report, and an Application Component which is the same report registered in portal as an RDF. The report runs fine with the URL link, but hangs when I try to run the RDF component.
    My URL link is defined as follows: http://greap004:7777/dev60cgi/rwcgi60?server=reportserver+report=reportname.rdf+destype=cache+desformat=htmlcss+userid=username/password@DBname+paramform=yes
    However, the registered RDF does not prompt for a DB login or bring up the parameter form. It just hangs for about 5 minutes and then returns the following error:
    Error: The requested URL was not found, or cannot be served at this time. Oracle Reports CGI - Report Job was cancelled upon user request.
    I want to be able to register reports as RDF's rather than using URL links.

    hello,
    you should take a look at our whitepapers in the Internet Deployment and Security section of our product area http://otn.oracle.com/products/reports
    there you find a walkthrough of the configuration for running registered reports in portal.

  • Run reports via command line

    I'm new to Discoverer. I am trying to come up with a batch job so that the operators can run Discoverer reports via the command line.
    The issue I am having is that when I issue the command (shown below), its opens up the Discoverer program (its because of the open command). Is there anyway I can issue a command which immediately runs a sheet inside the Discoverer file and exports it to a file without opening Discoverer. Thanks.
    /connect ofsa_eulowner/[email protected] /open c:\selvi\customer.dis /sheet sheet1 /export xls c:\selvi\customer.xls

    You need to use /batch to run the report.
